The majority of the cast from the USA hit show "Psych" went down to the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con this weekend.

In total, Dule Hill, Corbin Bersen, Maggie Lawson & James Roday went to the event that has become a major promotion tool for TV & movies alike.

We never saw any of the cast departing Vancouver, so there was lots of uncertainty and confusion on when they left and if they had already returned prior to the Sunday evening that most entertainers returned.

As it turns out...the cast had not returned yet. First up was Corbin Bernsen who was returning not from Comic-Con, even though her was there, but a Soapbox derby in Akron, OH that he attended after his SDCC visit. He was asked about his tough flight back, which he openly tweeted his displeasure about with United Airlines, going as far as to say he "Hate united airlines. Don't hate much in this world but they make hit list today.". He was just as vocal with us about his frustrating flight and joked about the social media alert by saying "I guess you saw my tweets". Eventually he would get on his way, and unlike most of the entertainers form this weekend, he didnt have a chauffered vehicle there to pick him up. Way to keep it real.

A little bit later, Maggie Lawson & James Roday showed up..with a little surprise in tow, recurring guest star Kurt Fuller. I really needed Roday, but I reallllllly needed Kurt Fuller, on an item I had from his days on Supernatural that I needed him to complete that I had been dragging around for over a year since a chance meeting with him when he said "oh yeah, I'll be back" about his role on Psych... a year later, yep, he was finally back (when I was aware of it).

After getting Fuller, I scooched over a few feet to where Lawson & Roday were signing for everyone else. Lawson was sociaable & seemed pleasant about it, while Roday signed, and signed afair bit, but was more of a "sigh, fine, lets get this over with quick" feel to the encounter. There wasnt a lot of interaction with them....but they signed, and in the end, thats all I can ask of them really.

Unfortunately, going for Fuller cost me any reasonable chance to get any good photos of Lawson or Roday...soooo, all I have of them is some grainy/fuzzy shots

Dule would return later, but it was too late for any of us to wait out, so Mr. Hill got in & out without being seen.

The "Grindhouse" & "Scream" star went down to the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con this weekend to promote the Conan The Barbarian movie.

The interaction with the girl best known as Cherry Darling from Planet Terror was fairly breif. She signed a few autographs for a couple of the fans that had things. I had got her a week or so earlier & was unprepared for her being there that morning as I had not heard of her going to SDCC till it was too late to know.

She asked us if we were going to Comic-Con which we all replied it was too expensive, icnluding a couple of the guys hwo have gone to quite a few over the years. She seemed genuinely disappointed to hear...whether it was because we werent going, or that SDCC was becoming such a cash grab.

She was terrific in signing, and took photos with anyone that asked. On returning, somehow, she got past the group that was waiting. We may have been busy with another entertainer or perhaps, she took a side door. Not too sure, but her departure certainly left a positive taste in everyones mouth.

The majority of the primary cast from the CW rookie show "The Secret Circle" went down to the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con this weekend.

In total, Brittany Robertson, Thomas Dekker, Natasha Henstridge, Phoebe Tonkin and Adam Harrington went to the event that has become a major promotion tool for TV & movies alike.

Going to SDCC
First 1 to roll in for any production was Phoebe Tonkin. It was early, and we were, understandably tired as some of us had little or no sleep, so we all played the "I think thats..." game & unsure if it was, went inside after her. One of the hounds said from a distance "hey Phoebe' & when she turned around, we knew it was her, but she was already in the queue to check in. So we waited till she was done and asked her to sign as she was getting towards the gate to go thru to her flight. She joked that she was happy that she wasnt hearing things, as she responded to our earlier distant call out for her attention that was not followed up with anything. She told us how she was super tired after a long night of work, then to get straight on to a flight. She didnt complaina bout it, or try to find (what would have been a very valid excuse) an excuse to not stop for us, she did it and was perfectly fine doing so.

Shortly after Thomas Dekker arrived. He looked even more tired than Phoebe did. But, like his co-star, Dekker stopped signed and chatted a bit with us.  He looked pretty sleepy, so we didnt hold him up for too long. Just let him get on his way after a few autographs.

A little while later, Natasha Henstridge came in.  She looked to be in a rush, so we gave her a chance to stop & fill out her customs form before we approached, and then she took the time to sign everything we had and chatted a bit. When asked for a photo with, she kinda gave the "I'd rather not" look, but said ok, her reasoning was she had just woken up & had no make up on...but she was willing to do it...only for the batteries to die on my camera, which she responded with a small fist pump and a "yes". Still overall, pleasant & friendly.

The next morning, Britt Robertson came thru quite early. Like the day befores castmates, she seemed tired & legitimately so, having come straight from work to the airport. When 1 of the hounds said he was shocked they didnt get the day off considering they have the event later that day, she replied with a loud "Ha" as if to say "yeah right". Essentially she was saying that, but it was more of a "the production cant really afford a day off" with it being a new show & still unproven, giving the stars a day off isnt really in the cards yet. She talked about how she wasnt always too excited with photos she had from her previous show Life Unexpected, saying she just didnt think they looked good. But her shots for TSC she seemed quite enthusiastic for. After a couple mins of chatting, she went on her way.

I also saw Adam harrington leave, but had very little chance to interact with him as I had nothing for him to sign and neither did anyone else. Snapped a couple quick pics, but thats all there was time for really.

Upon their return. We saw Phoebe, Thomas and Natasha again. Each of them willingly signed again for those who asked. We were told Britt wasnt coming right back, and no sign of Adam.

Autographs of the cast will soon be for sale on the site. Any candid photos you would like for your site untagged & in HQ, or personal collection, can be purchased now. Prices shown in the "candid photos" link on the left side of the screen.

The majority of the cast from the FOX hit show "Fringe" went down to the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con this weekend.

In total, Anna Torv, John Noble, Jasika Nicole, Blair Brown, Lance Reddick, Seth Gabel & a suprise addition of Josh Jackson went to the event that has become a major promotion tool for TV & movies alike.

On the way to SDCC we saw only 3 castmates head out.
Jasika Nicole was her typical cheerful self, even at the absurdly early times they had people going out at. She got a good laugh when she heard another local autograph hound say "I think we just got Nobled" referring to co-star John Noble who also came in around that same time & gave a very fake "I just want to check in first" reply to us when asked for autographs. John is a real jekyl & hyde situation. I told someone once "Its like Walter & Walternate really exist" because you have 1 man that is 2 completely different people depending on the situation. Whenever I see Mr. Noble at set, hes quite pleasant. When I see him at other places, hes anywhere from "not receptive" to just downrtight unpleasant. This particular time Mr. Noble checked in and sure enough, as was suggested earlier by the other hound, we got "Nobled" as he put on his sunglasses, broke out a big shit eating grin...and proceeded to walk by our displayed photos without stopping. Generally, someone or all of us might proceed after him a bit in hopes of coercing him to change his mind, but we really didnt have time for that, as the shows central figure, Anna Torv was also there.

Torv actually arrived before the other two, but like Noble, said she wanted to check in first, but unlike Noble, is known for following up on commitments like that when asked. Sure enough, the Aussie leading lady did just what she told us she would do & came out to us. She chatted with us for a bit, said she had a terrific off season, and asked us how ours was. When we said we never really get 1 since somesthing is almost always here, and hockey season was so long this year, she then got kinda sad and started talking about how upset & disgusted she was watching the riots on TV. I said to her "I'm sure thats not the Vancouver you tell all your friends that your living in all year" & she was essentially in agreement & said how shocked she was that it could happen here. Eventually, we wrapped up our little chat & let her get on her way.

We never managed to see any other cast leaving town. Whether they were even in Vancouver yet, cant say for certain.

Upon returning, we again saw a friendly Anna Torv. Again, stopped to sign, and chat. Was telling us how she got to keep a couple promo posters which she said were for "me and my mom". Even after a whole weekend of being tugged at left & right to do this or that and signing countless autographs, she still did it here for people she sees week in & week out, with no hesitation & pleasant demeanour... and that is why Anna Torv will be added to my top 20 best celebrities list (a long overdue omission) on my next update.

The majority of the cast from the ABC rookie show "Once Upon A Time" went down to the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con this weekend.

In total, Josh Dallas, Robert Carlyle, Jennifer Morrison, Lana Parrilla & Ginnifer Goodwin went to the event that has become a major promotion tool for TV & movies alike.

On the way to SDCC
We only managed to catch Lana Parrilla on the way down to SDCC. Most of the cast left on a super early flight, so we missed most of them, but Parrilla left later in the day & fortunately, we were there to get her. She told us shes loved playing her role on the show so far & that she hoped we would really love the show. She willingly signed whatever was asked and personalized all of them.

Upon returning...
A couple of the hounds lucked out and got Robert Carlyle, Ginnifer Goodwin & Josh Dallas upon returning. I unfortunately was not there for that venture. Later however, Lana Parrilla came thru while I was there, but no one approached her, so I didnt want to bug her just to take a photo.

Last arrival of the evening for the OUAT cast was Jennifer Morrison. JMo instantly saw the row of autograph hounds waiting along the long railed off area inside the airport & didnt even hesitate. Came right over & signed anything she was asked to sign. She was on the flight with a cast member from Eureka, Sally Richardson-Whitfield & Sally asked Jennifer if she was tweeting about heading to Vancouver, which Jen said "no...wait, I think I did". She said she enjoyed comic-con & has so far enjoyed filming. When someone said they really were disappointed she was written off How I Met Your Mother she replied "so was I, it was my favorite job", but that she understood the role was only temporary anyways. Not long after, she was done & on her way.

The majority of the primary cast from the CW hit show "Supernatural" went down to the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con this weekend.

In total, Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Jim Beaver & God himself, Misha Collins went to the event that has become a major promotion tool for TV & movies alike.

Going to SDCC
We first saw Misha. This was upsetting for me, because it was only upon his arrival that I realized....I had nothing for him to sign. I had 2 instances like this that weekend, this would be the first. I still took a few pics of him & asked him filming was going & if he knew how many episodes he would be around for this year. He kept pretty tight lipped about the latter question, but said things have gone well so far for this season.

At about the same time as Colling arrival, Jim Beaver also arrived. He stopped to sign for the few of us who had stuff for him, and really, I didnt get much of a chance to chat with him as this was prime time for people arriving, and actors for other shows were still coming in as well. I told him to have a good trip & have fun. Unsure if he heard me or not, hopefully he did.

Not too long later, Jensen Ackles showed up. Myself & 1 of the other hounds who got him only 2 wks ago decided to give him a pass for autographs, but that didnt stop a couple of the others from asking him. Had a few words with him about filming this season, said its gone well. Asked him if we'll see Death much this season, he had a bit of a grin, but no verbal reaction to it outside of "I dont know". Then he was on his way.

The last person we got on Saturday was the SPN fanbases favorite love/hate couple. Genevieve & Jared Padalecki arrived, just literally minutes before the cut off time for their flight....but that didnt stop the demon & demon killer from stopping to sign for us & chat some. Gen was incredibly pleasant, and yeah, I know how some of you fans pick on her because of your personal views on her husband and his life. My opinion on it, grow up. I've read your theories, and IMO I think its pretty far fetched. Not impossible, but verrrry far fetched. Shes a pleasant & friendly girl who doesnt seem like the type of person who would try to take advantage of any situation for PR or $, so really, stop assuming such a thing till 1 of your batshit nuts friends comes up with some real verifiable proof of your idiotic claims. As for Jared, he was his usually friendly self. even called Gen back when he realized the other hound had a photo that she was on. She of course has started signing "Genevieve Padalecki" which the hound, who had got her back when she signed Cortese, said "oh youve changed the signature" which she replied with the fairly obvious "well I'm married now". Jared was signing for me when I asked him about getting held up in customs for his return to Vancouver a couple weeks prior, which he said "yeah, I have been hauled in 3 times already.". I asked him what he did to piss them off & he said it was a visa issue. he then politely said they had to go (which they really did...like I said, showing up literally last min) & the couple hurried off to their gate.

Returning from SDCC - I never saw anyone. I missed Misha by literally seconds, which better result in the firing of a specific Burger King employee, since the incompetent dullard cost me anywhere from 45-75 seconds of time, and I missed Misha by less than 30 seconds. Jim stayed down there an extra day, as for J2, as far as I know, no one has any idea when they returned.

This weekend a variety of shows & movies had panels at the San Diego Comic Con. That included ventures from Vancouver. Mostly our TV shows.

I will have more detailed blogs later this week, which will include any interesting comments they had to say on any topics of discussion.

Since January 24, 2011 my site has hosted a league and playoff tournament to find out my readers favorite Male & Female TV characters.

After almost 6 months, over 29000 playoff votes counted, over 28000 regular season votes counted, plus thosands more that were discarded for various reasons....we have some champions.

144 characters, 80 male, 64 female characters started out with hopes & dreams back then. Early on, it became clear there was 8 or 10 characters whose fans had become quite determined to push their favorites to the top. I guess its no surprise, considering my site talks primarily about Vancouver based shows, most of those characters were from Vancouver shows.

Smallville had 4 characters in Clark Kent, Lois Lane, Oliver Queen & Chloe Sullivan who early on emerged as serious contenders. A twitter campaign by Olivers 1st round opponent thwarted his chance to go far. Clark Kent had an indominable regular season, but once the playoff format of no multiple voting was in place, his support tailed some. Still Clark pushed thru to the mens finals, before finally falling. Chloe managed to hold on till the elite 8 of the womens tourney before she finally gave way to her castmate, Lois Lane....the eventual winner of the womens division & the only undefeated contestant in either side of the tournament.

Supernatural super hunter Dean Winchester looked unstopable early, while the shows other characters like Sam Winchester, Bobby Singer, Castiel & Crowley all started slow, but gained momentum as things rolled along in the regular season. In the playoffs Castiel went out early, losing to eventual finalist Clark Kent in round 2. Crowley would meet the same fate in round 3, losing to Clark Kent. Bobby Singer came within 1 game of knocking off his buddy Dean Winchester in round 3, but eventually gave way to the man who would eventually go on to win the Mens title, Dean.

Fringe lead female character Agent Olivia Dunham looked poised to also take a run at the title in the regular season, as was agent Astrid Farnsworth who won her division in the regular season. Astrid could not continue the success in the playoffs, bowing out in the sweet 16 round of the womens division. The shows male counterparts Peter & Walter Bishop both had strong regular seasons, playoff success didnt follow them as much, with each bowing out before their own division finals. Agent Olivia Dunham pushed thru to the womens final, before eventually being swept by womens champion Lois Lame.

Sanctuary lead character Dr. Helen Magnus had a slow start & only barely got into the playoffs with a losing record none the less...but once there, she proved to be a formidable opponent as her fanbase caught on to the game & pushed her to the final 4 of the womens tournament before losing to eventual champ Lois Lane.

Stargate Universe had many challengers in the playoffs. But playoff success was limited for the SGU crew. With all the contestants, including 3 regular season division champs in Eli Wallace, Dr. Dale Volker & Vanessa James, from the now cancelled show bowing out by the sweet 16 draw of each side.

There was some success for shows not from the 604.

The Big Bang Theory had 3 male playoff contestants, with Dr. Sheldon Cooper, Raj Koothrappali & Howard Wolowitz all making it. None however found a terribly successful playoff formula. However, lead female Penny made it to the final 4 on the womens side & even had a 2-0 series lead before falling to Agent Olivia Dunham.

How I Met Your Mother had 3 division champs in the regular season. Robin Scherbatsky, & Lily Aldrin on the womens side. Both however fell in the womens sweet 16 round. On the mens side, Legen..wait for it...DARY ladies man Barney Stinson made it to the mens final 4 before falling to Clark Kent.

The Simpsons mastermind Homer Simpson made the mens final 4 finals before bowing out to eventual champion Dean Winchester.

Several other challengers like Richard Castle from Castle, Dr. Gregory House of House, Daphne Powell from No Ordinary Family, Penelope Garcia of Criminal Minds, Seeley Booth from Bones & Turanga Leela from Futurama also flirted with some playoff success before leaving in the elite 8 rounds of their respective genders.

In the end. Dean Winchester from Supernatural won the mens tournament over Clark Kent of Smallville, while Clarks main squeeze, Lois Lane defeated Agent Olivia Dunham from Fringe for the womens title.

So congratulations to your 2011 favorite TV character winners
Mens- DEAN WINCHESTER (Jensen Ackles) "Supernatural"
Womens
LOIS LANE (Erica Durance) Smallville

Last summer, several notable stars were in Vancouver filming a pre-quel to the popular "Planet Of The Apes" called "Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes"

Many big names were here for it, such as Freida Pinto, Golden Globe winner James Franco & 5X Emmy & 2X Golden Globe winner John Lithgow.

But the 1 most people in town were most excited for was not 1 of these highly decorated stars. It was a guy who is known around the world as a baddie in the Harry Potter series, Tom Felton.

Not ever having watched the HP films, I knew nothing of Felton's popularity when he came into town. All I knew was, people kept saying "have you met Tom Felton"?. So, when I had the chance to get a few pics of him, I took it.

Tom was actually personable, in the right situations. When he wasnt personable...was when actual fans were floating around. He even went as far as to tell the regulars "dont tell any fans where I am". Having dealt with another phenomenons fanbase "Twilight" in the past, I could understand Mr. Felton's preference to not have to engage with his most ardent fans. The type of fans who generally follow these type of franchises are a bit tough to deal with...so I was certain Tom had this request because of prior issues with the HP fanbase.

In the end, I got him to sign a few photos & had a couple chances to photograph him while he was here. Despite his prerence to not be noticed when possible, he was still good with signing & taking photos when he was caught.

You can find Tom on twitter @TomFelton

Last April Supernatural was shooting part of their season finale in downtown Vancouver. I got a bit of video of them shooting it before crew asked quite nicely "dont post any spoilers please"..... so I have patiently waited. The season is now in the bag.

So, SPOILER FREE to the majority of the world, a very short (and frankly, non-descript scene) scene of Jared Padalecki (Sam Winchester) & Erica Cerra (Robin) walking into a hotel together.

If the video wont work for you here, I apologize. You can see it on youtube, but with tags for this site, here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5Sc3_-s65E
