Better late than never, right?

Sorry Glee fans, sometimes things dont get posted immedately & eventually get buried under new, fresh stuff.

Such is the case with the pics of Cory Monteith I took in May, 2011 while he was in Vancouver with his band Bonnie Dune.

So, here they are.... only 10 months later....

The Best Comedy Program of 2011 as voted by you the fans was.. The Big Bang Theory.

With 1st & 3rd in the Best actress, and 2nd & 3rd in the Best actor categories for comedies, it comes as no surprise that The Big Bang Theory pulled out Best Comedy honours. The comedy about a group of nerds & the women in their lives has appealed on a massive scale. Whether its because of Sheldon's often too complex ideologies of simple things, Leonard's continual effort to bed a woman far out of his league, Raj's complete inability to even talk to the opposite sex, or Howard's complicated mother issues, the guys of the show always manage to garner laughs. But what has become far more prominent in the past year or so is the inclusion of the female cast into this. With Penny as the lead female, and the object of Leonard's desires, she was generally seen as the "only" main female character on the show, however, this past year or so has watched Bernadette & more recently Amy become just as important to the stories & laughs.

"The Big Bang Theory" opened a strong lead in voting & coasted to an easy victory with over a 200 vote cushion over another CBS sitcom, runner up "How I Met Your Mother". The 3rd place spot was a fight that bounced back & forth several times, but eventually the NBC hit "Community" narrowly edged out "Glee" for the honours, "Psych" rounded out the finalists in 5th..

This category was the only category The Big Bang Theory didnt win in the comedy genre.

Final vote results
The Big Bang Theory 810
How I Met Your Mother 584
Community 352
Glee 338
Psych 260

The Best Actress in a Comedy of 2011 as voted by you the fans was.. Kaley Cuoco - The Big Bang Theory.

When I was looking at finalists for all the categories, I pretty much expected this outcome. The woman behind many nerds & geeks dream character Penny had the perfect storm of opinion poll potential for voting. Extremely attractive, funny character, on a vastly popular show, and of course, the fact her character has an on again/off again relationship with a self-proclaimed nerd were all the key ingredients to a probable win for this category...and she didnt let them down.

Kaley had a sizable lead on runner up Jane Lynch from "Glee". Lynch had a quick early lead, but failed to keep up the pace & eventually fell behind the eventual champ. 3rd was another "The Big Bang Theory" star, Mayim Bialik, who came close to catching Lynch in the final couple days. 4th was "30 Rock" star Tina Fey, 5th was the oldest finalist in ANY category, 90 year old Betty White from "Hot In Cleveland", Lea Michele from "Glee" came in 6th narrowly passing 7th place Alison Brie from "Community". Maggie Lawson of "Psych" came in 8th & Megan Mullally from "Children's Hospital" rounded out the finalists in 9th.

This category really showed the domination that The Big Bang Theory has in the comedy category. Finishing 1st in this category was not a shock, but a relative secondary character on the show managing to finish 3rd shows that fans of TBBT wildly love anything to do with their show. The ONLY thing that held back a sweep of the comedy categories for them was a well dressed womanizer in the actor category, or TBBT would have swept the genre.

Final vote results
Kaley Cuoco "The Big Bang Theory" 641
Jane Lynch "Glee" 416
Mayim Bialik "The Big Bang Theory" 396
Tina Fey "30 Rock" 358
Betty White "Hot In Cleveland" 317
Lea Michele "Glee" 273
Alison Brie "Community" 271
Maggie Lawson "Psych" 170
Megan Mullally "Children's Hospital" 127

Last year we had the 2010 Best Of TV Awards, the inagural awards here for it. It was responsible for almost 100,000 votes last year.

Winners were selected in 7 categories lasst year- http://canadagraphs.weebly.com/best-of-tv-awards-polls.html

This year, we have even more categories.
To nominate someone, something or a show in its proper category...you must contact us thru 1 of these 3 ways..
1- THIS BLOG POST (not other posts or the contact section),
2- Or on our official  facebook fan page http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/canadagraphsweeblycom/101034953308978
3- Thru twitter by at messaging me at @Canadagraphs or @Canadagraphs2 w hashtag #BOTVA2011

The rules.
Rule 1-
ALL Nominations must be based ONLY on work of episodes that aired for the first time in 2011 prior to October 25th, 2011 (except for new shows- up to Nov. 15th permitted).
Rule 2- You can nominate at all available outlets (facebook, twitter or here) if you so choose to.
Rule 3- Sci-fi category covers anything dealing primarily with paranormal based shows. Regardless if its a comedy or a drama, if its paranormal based...its Sci-fi. This will dissolve the frustrating "Vampire Diaries/True Blood isnt a sci-fi, its a drama" argument of last year. TVD/TB is a sci-fi show, and thus its show & actors will compete in those categories.
Rule 4- You do NOT have to vote in every category...but you must vote in at least 3 for your nominations to count.
Rule 5- you can nominate up to 3 in each category... if you want to nominate more than 3, remember, you can nominate thru twitter, facebook and here.
Rules for each category...
Nominations for TV shows-
TV show must have at least 6 episodes in 2011 and can not have debuted in 2011.
Nominations for new TV shows - Have/will debut in 2011 prior to November 15th, 2011
Nominations for best actors/actresses - Must be in at least 8 episodes on the specific show they are being nominated for, in 2011. New show actor/actresses that have yet to meet this requirement can be nominated if they are proven to be regulars and will have more than 8 episodes on that show before the season is scheduled to end.
Nominations for supporting actors/actresesses - Must be in at least 3 episodes, no more than 7 on the specific show they are being nominated for in 2011.
Nominations for guest stars - Must be in 1 and no more than 2 episodes of a specific show they are being nominated for in 2011.
Nominations for favorite character - Must be in at least 3 episodes of a specific TV show that it is being nominated for 2011.
Nominations for favorite non-human co-star or prop - must be in at least 3 episodes of a specific TV show that it is being nominated for in 2011. This category covers anything including... animals, vehicles, electronic devices, weapons, and any other things that are not human that you think may be relevant to a story.
Favorite quote - Must name the actor or character that said it, epi # or title & the program name (so that I can look it up easier to verify its legitimacy) that took place in 2011.
Favorite couple - Name the characters, the show. They must be either married/dating on the show, or hooked up at least once in that season for something more than a 1 off kiss, in 2011.

THE BIG BANG THEORY

(Left-to-Right: Kunal Nayyar, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Jim Parsons, Simon Helberg)

The group of intellectually advanced nerds and a hot waitress has taken the top spot. Forget that Emmy Award Mr. Parsons. You now are part of the cast of the 1st ever Best Comedy award over here at Canadagraphs.

The Big Bang Theory (CBS), a comedy created by Chuck Lorre & Bill Prady, won the inaugural Comedy honours handily. With 476 votes, the nerds truly ruled the world...for comedy. A record setting 184 vote victory over distant runners up Glee, gave the show the largest margain of victory for any category. It was also the only category where there was not a change at the top past New Years.

Second place was a far closer fight, as FOX hit "Glee" narrowly held off another CBS competitor "How I Met Your Mother" by only 3 votes, 292 to 289.

NBC hit "Community" came 4th (117) & FX hit "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" rounded out the finalists with 80 votes.

FINAL TOTALS
1ST- THE BIG BANG THEORY
476
2ND- GLEE
292
3RD- HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER
289
4TH- COMMUNITY
117
5TH- IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA 80

There is only 1 day left for voting on the Best Of TV 2010 awards on my site.
With the People's Choice Awards done, this is the chance for some shows, who got shafted at the largest public voted awards to get a 2nd chance.

If you have not already voted...You can vote here...
http://canadagraphs.weebly.com/best-of-tv-awards-polls.html

Despite lots of attempts to cheat/sabotage people, voting has continued. With each attempt to cheat or sabotage someone has come a new security issue I have had to deal with & create a way to sidestep the cheating. While I concede SOME cheater votes may have gotten mixed into the totals, MOST (i'll even say well over 95%) were thwarted.

Unfortunately for the likes of House, Smallville & Private Practice, some of their contenders were disqualified for either blatant cheating, or being sabotaged before proper defenses were put in place. It should be noted that while House, Smallville & Private Practice candidates were caught using automated voting bots, MANY legitimate votes from these shows were also cast. unfortunately, it just took 1 jerk to ruin your chances. I apologize to those who took the effort to rally support for their shows, only to have it go for nothing. Trust me when I say, future polls will have far more advanced steps in place to prevent this from happening again.

With that aside....with 1 day left of voting....here are the current results.
