After multiple epic fails, yesterday I would consider a small win.

It was the first time in a week & 1/2 that I actually interacted with a cast member. Got autographs, photos and video even. To top it off, I managed TWO in only a couple hours. Of course, there was severe fail mixed in & I am going to have to demote 1 certain cast member from my top 10 nicest celebs list now. But that aside...heres a small rundown of yesterday.

I got to the hotel around 7:30-8:00 AM. Shortly after a fan tha tI have seen a few times now came over & told me Ashley was out walking her dog. I knew she didnt use the front door, since she never does...but I wasnt about to go and scope out a side door just for her yet. very shortly after that the first few paps showed up. Unlike the New Moon shoot where there were just the locals & the sporadicl out of towner who would be in for a few days & leave, this film there is no less than 6, and I have heard by next week 10+ regular staffer paps up here who have been sent here by the company & told to stay till they get what they want. Shortly after another local arrived & it wasnt too much longer before there was 6-8 paps & hounds lurking about, chit chatting & swapping stories. But no action.

After a delicious breakfast consisting of a beef dip at the new favorite hangout of the regulars, the Deli-O restaraunt, I went back to being bored & would occasionally roam for a bit, but nothing much was happening.

My time line is off by this point, so excuse me while I check twitter to see what time I tweeted about it...ok, about 2:15-2:30 the first sign of life. Kellan Lutz came back from somewhere in a van, and hastily ran into the hotel, head down, ignoring pleas from fans & regulars alike.  This is a new Kellan thats emerged for this shoot. A bit, grumpy & unfriendly Kellan. Perhaps he his bitter over a recent relationship break up, I dunno. But his new attitude stinks & his fans were in agreement.

Luckily for the fans, they were rewarded quickly there after. Peter Facinelli made what is likely to be HIS last jaunt outside the hotel on foot. He merely walked over to 7-11 & it took him 15 minutes to get there & back. Fans stopped him for autographs, photos, photos with their kids, and he even spoke some. I asked him about the Jennie fiasco from the day earlier (unfortunately I didnt have my camera running at that moment. DUMB DUMB DUMB) he said confidently that its been sorted out, that she was taken out of context. He seemed fine talking about it, not put out or annoyed. Taking it all in stride. He joked about how if he had known he was going to be seen by so many people he would have taken a shower first. He was very friendly, very accomodating & made the exact opposite impression on the fans that Mr. Lutz made minutes before.

After that, there was about a 2 hr lul, till the next chance to get someone. Xavier Samuel, one of the newcomers to the cast walked thru the courtyard from 1 tower to the other. A couple fans spotted him, rushed onto the grounds & interacted with him. As he came thru the driveway, I called him over to sign, and he made the 70-100 yard walk over to do it. Of course, fans swarmed in from every direction & he went from having to sign 2 items for me, to signing and taking pics for probably 3-5 mins.

After that, action literally dried right up. No sightings not even any "I think I saw" type sightings. It was just plain dead. After a long day that was including 12 hrs of waiting & 2- 3 hours of being up before it, I chose to go home early that night. No sense burning myself out & because I was barely keeping my eyes open.

I got home around 7:15-7:30 and didnt even spend the time getting fully changed, and went to sleep. 9:20 PM my phone rang, it was a call from one of the guys telling me the cast had a party at a restaraunt that I had never heard of. Considering I only got about 2 hrs of sleep, I was suprisingly alert & re-energized when I got up & set out to find the Miku Sushi restaraunt. I had a little trouble since I had never heard of it, but was directed to where it was on the phone & showed up to see 6-8 paps out on the sidewalk, and would later find 4-6 hounds & paps, including a new pap I hadnt seen till then on the back side of the restaraunt.

Sporadic sighings for breif moments were seen inside the restaraunt that was set in away from the street and for the mostpart, they had the evening to themselves. There were still some opportunities to get a couple pics here & there, but zero chance for an autograph or a fan encounter. The security of the tower the restaraunt was at called the cops, and a squad showed up. 5 cops in total, and later on, more would show up.  On a Friday night in downtown Vancouver, FIVE of Vancouvers police officers were being wasted to tell the paps to stay off the property....which they were when the cops showed up. The two old useless wannabe rent-a-cops who patrolled the place with the grace of Barney Fife had so little confidence in themselves they felt the need to waste 5+ of the cities real cops to babysit grown adults who were actually following the rules already. Pathetic. They came ove,r gave the whole lecture about public property. Then proceeded to go into the restaraunt & basically stand at the door till they were asked to help escort cast mates away.

Around 10:45 the first cast left. Kellan Lutz & what was believed to be Ashley Grene, left the restaraunt, into the enclosed private foyer of the building, 200 feet away, behind a locked door & glass....WITH A POLICE ESCORT. I am sure the cops had to be talking later about how pathetic the security at this place were. A police escort was requested for Kellan & Ashley in a private LOCKED building to get from 1 door, to an elevator. WOW.

The pair was taken int the underground SECURED & LOCKED gated underground parking garage where a cab was waiting to wisk them away. When it left, I was the only one that went over to where it was leaving from & they both acted like I had 45 cameras pointe at them, doing the whole "protect our identity at all costs" thing that celebs who think too much of themselves & shamed criminals do leaving the courthouse.

Shortly after that, the cops left. I envision this coversation happening.
Cop 1 "did we seriously escort someone to their vehicle inside a locked building into a locked parking garage?"
Cop 2 "I think so, but obviously we must be mistaken. There HAD to be some threat we didnt see"
Cop 3 "Nope, you missed nothing. These guys are fucking retards."
Cop 4 "so should we bail?"
Cop 5 " Bail? Yes, but after we beat these retards with out batons"
(other 4 cops ponder the option for a moment)
(they get back upstairs)
Cop 1 (to the building security) "so we've decided in lieu of beating you with our batons we are just going to leave & ridicule you for the rest of the night in private. Ok?"
Witless Security guard "b...b....b...bu..buu.but"
Cop 2 "no please. Dont speak another word."
(cops leave, fade to black)

Shortly after that, the hapless security morons went about, taking the patrons of their establishment into the elevators without incident, since its in a locked building and all...and soon, 5-7 main cast members were being transported out of the restaraunt by 3 cabs & the rush back to the hotel was on.

Once back to the hotel, they pulled into the front, with 4-6 cars full of paps & hounds in tow, Robs cab circled the lot twice, before finally taking it downstairs into the underground parking lot, which was opened up just for him & rushed inside.
Night over.

I then went home & resumed the sleep I had interruped. Even though it was a horribly pointless event, I am glad I didnt miss it, as the absurdity of the slack jawwed yokels they had "securing" the cast inside the locked building was entertainment enough.

The all too early, late musician & actress Aaliyah sort of summedit up best.

For the last two days I put in a combined 10+ hours out for Twilight. Not a single thing to show for it...besides frustration.

Day 1 I saw NOTHING of the cast. Just 3-4 production vehicles go into the underground parking lot & never be seen again. For 3+ hours they stayed in there & never came out. That is odd. So I gave up early that day, went home & licked my wounds knowing that I cant do that bad again next time.

So yesterday I went later in the day.
On the plus side, I did see Peter Facinelli (twice), Taylor Lautner, Kellan Lutz (three times), Jackson Rathbone & Ashley Greene.......but I had NOTHING to show for it. No autographs and not even 1 single photo. Seems the cast was unwilling to oblige any interaction requests yesterday, even to the point of Kellan on his return (2nd interaction) speed walking past us & 4 fans, without trying to stop or even speaking a single word.

I havent gotten a single autograph from the cast in over a week now (oh, I did basically take like 5 days off...I guess thats part of it). I know eventually the seal will be broken & this little slump will be forgotten. Thing is, I need to get back out & try again or else that slump will just hang over my head.

So I am dusting myself off- listening to my prepping up music to get me pumped up to get out there again....and will probably leave within the hour to try again.

Just going to sit here & punch things for awhile.

On Monday Bryce Dallas Howard, the controvertial replacement in the Twilight Saga series 3rd installment "Eclipse" for the character "Victoria" (previously played by Rachelle Lefevre) was seen arriving at YVR in Vancouver with several castmates in tow.

While the likes of Klenna Lutz, Nikki Reed, Elizabeth Reaser, Ashley Greene & other newcomer Xavier Samuel got by the group of fans & paps mostly un-noticed, Bryce was front & centre for them all.

Not a lot is said in the video & its not overly fascinating...but it is from her arrival, the first time she was seen in Vancouver for this film.

Bryce Dallas Howard, the new controversial replacement for the character Victoria is seen for the first time in vancouver.
Her castmates, Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene, Elizabeth Reaser, Kellan Lutz & Xavier Samuel seem to slip by as most people stop to try & get an autograph or comment from Bryce.

Since their arrivals a few days ago, the Eclipse cast has been all over the place...and so far, I have had only moderate luck with them.

The night they came in, I of course had abysmal luck & should have been hungry to go back out & redeem msyself.....so what did I do??? I slept in Tuesday & didnt even leave my block all day. There was some luck had by some that did go out, but it never enticed me to try.

Wednesday came & again, I didnt jump out of bed & rush down there. Even after getting a phone call around noon from another hound saying he just got Taylor, I still took like 3 more hrs to get down there. Less than half an hr after getting there though, I had success.

We saw Nikki Reed briefly enter the hotel in workout gear, she told us she would get us in a few minutes.
When she came back out a few minutes later, she was with Taylor Lautner. They walked in the opposite direction were were standing, but we tracked them down quick enough. They both stood there for a good couple minutes signing multiple items for each person there. A person from http://www.twilight-gossip.com/ was there videotaping them & said he was going to post the video soon (havent checked to see if he has yet). I went away with 4 Taylors, 2 Nikkis. I could have had more frome ach, but I wasnt prepared for that.

Maybe an hour went by & they were returning. Again. Like before, they stopped and signed, mostly for the same people.  They talked again, and this time I had a video going & asked a couple questions to Nikki. I will post that video when I have more time & less of a headache. After that, they went on their way into the hotel & we would have a very long lull after that.

Kellan Lutz went out for his daily jog, but none of us saw him leave (remember what I said about difficult to cover the place?). A couple paps saw him on his return, but for the mostpart he was unnoticed. Not long after we briefly saw Bryce Dallas Howard from a distance going in, but not enough time to get her attention.

There would be a couple hours of nothing, till my friend & I were off on an non-Twilght related venture & ran into a scruffy looking Jackson Rathbone by fluke on Robson street. Jackson was still cool as before, signing everything, talking up a storm. Once he left, we decided not long after that to pack it in for the night as Thursday was going to be busy.....or so we thought.


Thursday came in with me feeling weird. I slept a LOT that night, but just wouldnt get up. Two or 3 text & and a call later I finally rolled out of bed in early afternoon & headed downtown based on info that the non-Twilight based person from the night before was out & should be returning imminently. That never happened. So I wasted 4-5 hours down there instead of hunting for Twilighters. I then decided I was going to go home & did.

Once home, I had JUST opened the door to my room when my phone rang & was given info that a considerable portion of the cast was out to dinner together. So I left the house. They were where I was told, but with no back up to help me, I was wasting my time. I stood out there & saw what I believe was the back of Kellan leaving, but without anyone to cover off  for me, I couldnt pursue.  Another dud. I am still pissed about it & probably why I have a bit of a headache, since I camt downtown on this hot info & was shocked no one else (at least 6+ people knew it) didnt bother to put in the time either....almost as if everyone expected me to scout it out & let them know when action happened.

So its already Friday now. I need to get up a normal time tomorrow...but probably wont.

Yes. The day many pre-teen thru middle aged moms have waited for has arrived. The cast of Twilight Saga Eclipse started making their way into Vancouver today for pre-production.

The first cast member to poke his head out was Charlie Bewley, who is better known as Volturri member Demitri in the upcoming release of New Moon in November. I did not choose to go for him, as I had a gameplan & opted to stick to it for the short time.  Mr. Bewley was spotted arriving into town, where he met up with a local girl & left with her, and not with a production vehicle. Hmmmm. Way to go Charlie.

While Charlie was coming in I met a new face to the Twilight fan site game (or new to me atleast). My ability to forget names of guys has struck me again (forgot his name...even after he told me twice) but he runs the site http://www.twilight-gossip.com & was commited enough to his craft today to spend a few hours at the airport himself hoping for some glimpses of the cast coming it. Unfortunately for him he picked the time of day there was nothing there....but he tried atleast. Good guy, seems friendly.  We chit chatted for a while as we waited for Mr. Bewley to come in or get the word he wasnt at the hotel we were at.

After that little teaser, there was a lull for awhile. Eventually the regulars left their downtown hangout. When we got to the airport there was a lull after the plane arrived, In fact a LONG lull that had the regulars concerned.

The next flight with anyone on it was the big one. A Los Angeles flight that contained Ashey Greene (Alice), Elizabeth Reaser (Esme), Kellan Lutz (Emmett), Nikki Reed (Rosalie) & newcomers Xavier Samuel (Riley) & recent re-cast addition Bryce Dallas Howard (Victoria).

After the flight landed the waiting game started, and soon became the "wtf is going on" game. More than an HOUR after their flight had landed, not a single one of them had come out. We figured they were waiting for someone & were all going to come out at once. One of the local paps later stated that they were all detained because they had to get new work visas. Whatever the reason, they were so late that the 10-12 people waiting for them were starting to wonder what had happened. The drivers were still there, so where was the talent?

A carrier cart of luggage was the first sign. Seen on the cart were pieces of luggage I was familiar with, after seeing pics of the cast leaving LAX just hours earlier on http://www.twifans.com/ blog posts. I recognized some of Elizabeths bags & Xaviers guitar. I now was impatiently wondering where the owners of these bags were.

I then noticed another couple hound/paps who had their camera nuzzled up against the window leading to the secure indoor area where the cast was now congregating while they waited for someone so they could leave. After a few minutes of watching Nikki Reed & Bryce Dallas Howard talk & Ashley Greene occasionally poke into sight, they started their push towards leaving. I then turned on my video, as they started to come out.

As the doors opened, a wave of celebrities & handlers came thru. All of them came out at once & soon, they were seperated by people not in the mood to interact (Elizabeth & Ashley) & those that were (everyone else). Bryce was asked a couple questions & she responded kindly & happily signed autographs for the hounds while the paps shot away. Kellan Lutz also signed willingly, while the other cast either got by untouched or moderately unscathed.

The whole scene lasted maybe 20 seconds, but it seemed like 2 minutes. I got practically nothing good out of the venture. Wont lie, I kinda choked. I had a plan & I didnt follow thru. Soon the entire group was split into 2 different vehicles, and rushed away from the airport. The hounds & paps followed quickly, in no less than 4 cars, a chase was underway along southern Vancouver. As they got closer to the downtown core the car that my carload was following veered off the path the other one was taking. As we got into the downtown core, conversing with individuals in other vehicles it became apparent they were not heading to the regular haunts of the cast from the last movie. It was true, they were not staying at the Sutton Place this time. We were devasted, then even more devastated when we saw the hotel they chose. Its terribly complicated to cover and has multiple exit points. I have hounded this hotel in the past. I didnt like it then & dont like it now. But, I guess for the next two months I will have to endure it.

I did some video of the arrivals, but I have not had time to screen it, edit it, or upload it. It MIGHT not get done for a long time, at the very least, a few days....sorry.

The Twi-bsessed Twi-hards can probably start wetting themselves now...because the first step to Eclipse being filmed has happened. The cast has started arriving & my acetominaphine usage is sure to go up.
