Even stars as large as teenage icon Selena Gomez get passed over for blogging about.
But with the family movie "Ramona And Beezus" coming out this week, there is a chance for me to pull out these pics I took last year of Gomez, and child co-star Joey King while they were here.
While the kids (the stars Gomez & King) were alright, the parents were uptight (Bridgette Moynahan & John Corbett) while here filming. In fact, Corbett, on multiple occasions was seen arguing & getting quite worked up with fans and paps alike. The fact that he DIDNT get into a physical altercation is frankly, from all reports I heard, a shock. His piss poor attitude here rubbed MANY people, young & old, experienced with celebs & novices alike, quite wrong. Moynahan was just plain elusive. Rarely seen & the few times she was seen, she made little to no effort to accomodate fan requests.
The adult disgruntledness didnt stop at the parents either. Josh Duhamel, the womanizing pseudo-celeb, while nicer than Moynahan or Corbett, was himself less than pleasant & really presented an attitude of "I'd rather not" even when he begrudingly stopped for a photo or an autograph. In his defense... I guess some of them would have got more attention from him if they were stripping.
Of course, the actual stars of the movie. The young Joey King & the multi-talented Selena Gomez made up for their elders shortcomings. Gomez was seen countless times coming in, going out & was always good about stopping to fill requests for photos or autographs. Her co-star King, although only 9 or 10 when she was here, even took it all in stride, despite finding it weird that she was asked for her autograph 1 day.
As you can see from their walk around town together 1 day, Selena truly treated Joey like her little sister, not just on the screen, but off it.
