Been a busy couple weeks for my park. First there was a TV movie here with Jennifer Morrison from House & AJ Cook from Criminal Minds a couple weeks ago, now yesterday Supernatural rolled in, for at least the 3rd time within a 2 block walk of my house since I moved here 4 1/2 yrs ago.
This time they were filming a variety of scenes that had Jensen Ackles (Dean Winchester) & Lindsey McKeon (Tessa) walking down 2 different sides of the street exchanging dialogue. Of course, I couldnt hear what was being said, but I was able to take some shots of it.
on that note...I find it odd that after shooting 3 different spots on the block, 2 of which I shot for a considerable amount of time without raising an eye, they decided to DEMAND (not ask, but demand I stop) that I stop taking photos....ON THE LAST TAKE of the last outside scene. A bit late, dontchathink?
This actually isnt the first time I have had the crew for SPN try & make demands of me that legally, they dont have the rights to do. But I respected their demand the first time, after voicing my annoyance to the poorly informed peon that actually thought he had the right to tell me I couldnt take photos of something going on in public, standing on public property. A couple hours alter, a different set person would come over & try to tell me the same thing. Again, in a demanding tone. Not asking, but telling. "You CANT take pictures." is not asking...which is all they legally have the right to do. If it werent for the fact light was getting dim by this point, I would have truthfully put up a pretty stubborn stand off over it. Once, I will usually tolerate...but twice?? Saddest part of this, they have told me before I MUST do something, even though I am on public property. I have not had another set give me as much misinformed BS as this crew. Wonder who is telling them to step over their boundaries?
After they finished exteriors. They went inside a store to film more scenes, and were still there till light outside was pretty much gone for shooting anything of Jensen walking back or forth.
Once they wrapped in the store, they moved across the street to an abandoned warehouse. It was now dark, I was across the street and the compund was all gated in with the trailers inside the compound...so I decided, good time to pull the plug. Just as I decided to, I noticed Lindsey get in the truck with her things & leave...I assume, she was done for the day.
For the record, I never saw Jared on set at all...perhaps he was in the warehouse scenes at some point?? But if he was, I didnt see him show up...but that doesnt mean he couldnt have been, as I was gone for stretches at a time.
