The cast & crew for the current longest runnng show on the USA Network, the comedy-drama crime show "Psych" are back to work on their 8th season already.

I caught up to them filming on 2 different occasions in their opening week.

First I caught them just a block off of Sunset Beach in Vancouver filming scenes that included Lassie (Timothy Omundson) at an apartment. At the time, I thought very little of the apartment till I stumbled across the trailers & found a trailer for....MARLOWE. This got me thinking, is this where the Lassiter-Viccellio love nest is? Only time will tell.

This past week USA Network officially confirmed Marlow weould be back in season 8 for a guest role, as well as the Cary Elwes character Pierre Despereaux.

A few days later, I was told about them being in New Westminster. After a long exhaustive game of "follow the bread crumbs" I found the set in uptown New West, a quiet neighbourhood of above average value houses.

On set that day, I saw Shawn & Gus (James Roday & Dule Hill) along with Juliet (Maggie Lawson). I also saw another cast member there. Unfortunately, I have no photos of this cast member on set at this time, because the specific person in question asked me not to post photos of them there that day, as it was a plot point that hasnt come up yet (and I instantly knew this person was right, having watched the show enough). Also on set on this day was, the blueberry. The scenes were all indoors while I was there, so I didnt see any filming...but here is my 1st pics of Psych cast & crew back at work for the 8th & likely final season (if James Roday & Dule Hill were telling it like it is at the Upfronts last week)..

Last month (and a couple pics from the month before of Timothy from Comic-Con weekend) cast for Psych returned to Vancouver to work on the back 1/2 of season 7 of the hit USA Network show after their much deserved week off hiatus.

Since Psych fans have been pretty good lately in generating traffic to the site thru my recent set reports, thought I would throw you a little something (since I have no more set reports sitting in the bag right now... you will just have to live with this)

Back in late July I found the Psych set a couple times in the same week.

The episode they were filming was a wedding episode. I cant say everything I saw (we were asked by crew to NOT post a specific spoiler we saw... even though after a specific cast member tweeted an outright lie about it I had the urge to blow it out of the water....but have resisted).

What I can say is... the episode revolves around the wedding of Lassie (Timothy Omundson). The first scene we saw being shot for this episode was out at River Rock Casino & Hotel, which was filling in for the fictitious "Aqua Verde Resort" where the wedding (seemingly) took place. We saw Lassie coming down the spiral escalator followed by Shawn, Gus, *****, another actor I did not know & Woody several steps behind in just a thong & a bathrobe that was open for all to see. I did not shoot photos of this scene as we were asked quite politely not to, due to a specific spoiler they were trying to keep under wraps (which I think they grossly over reacted to btw).

After the scene was filmed, I got autographs from Kurt Fuller & Timothy inside. We then went outside & caught the cast going to & returning from lunch. James Roday was 1st up & he willingly signed (although he has often shown to be less than excited to do so, he still does it...which I have to respect.), Dule Hill was next and chatted with my buddy about his pretty extensive Psych autograph collection. I suspect Dule left there thinking my buddy probably has a mental disorder, or was lying.  Timothy Omundson followed, along with Kurt Fuller. On the way back from lunch, Kurt signed for my buddy after he joked with him that he didnt get him inside because he has a "no getting autographs from guys in just a speedo policy". We also got autographs from Corbin Bernsen who was on set. Maggie Lawson was showing up to set shortly after that, and my buddy got her to sign. We waited around in hopes of seeing guest star Kristy Swanson, but never did.

I went back to the set the next day to try & get Kristy, but literally missed her by seconds, as she was in her transport vehicle leaving for the day as I arrived.

A few days later I found out about a night shoot they had. On set was a huge limobus, which was also at the set at the casino a few days earlier. This scene saw Lassy, Shawn & Gus showing up to the Santa Ynez Police Dept (played by Notre Dame Secondary) with a man in fuzzy leopard skinned handcuffs in tow. In this scene Lassie is talking to someone on the other end who seems to be associated with the person in custody. Couldnt really hear exactly what was being said, but the jist of the phone call was that Lassie was coming for get the guy on the other end of the phone.

Since someone on tumblr asked me where they were, and I realized they were already edited & ready to go... well, here they are.

Pics of James Roday, Dule Hill, a couple more of Timothy Omundson, a few of Sage Brocklebank (with an extra who he seemed chummy with that I wish I had got the name of to add to the blog) and a few of Maggie Lawson from the impromptu photo shoot they did outside that day. Sorry if some of them (especially the Lawsons) arent crisp, it was sunny/shady/cloudy nightmare going on out there & the lighting kept changing.

PS - Since then, I have another set of Psych cast pics to post...but that will be another week or 2, as I have many other posts to make in the mean time... but I WILL get to them eventually.

A few weeks ago I came across the set for the USA Network TV show "Psych".

Even though the show is now in its 7th season here, this was the very 1st time I had come across the set & actually seen either of the shows stars there (1 other time I was at the set & saw no one from the main cast).
 
On this day, everyone seemed to be around. Besides the shows main stars James Roday (Shawn Spencer) & Dule Hill (Burton "Gus" Guster) I also ran into Timothy Omundson (Carlton "Lassie" Lassiter), Sage Brockleback (Buzz McNab) & Maggie Lawson (Juliet Ohara) between the 3 locations they used on that day.

The only set I saw any filming actually done at was at an autobody shop. The scene had James & Dule inside talking to a mechanic...probably discussing the insane prop car they had, which had been split in 1/2 (as you see in the pics). A little after that scene, they did 1 where James sees Timothy drive up, and he gets in & takes a ride with him.

I have more pics from this day to post, but didnt want to put 70+ pics into 1 bog post... so I will post them another day. They will have more James, Dule, Tim & Sage.. as well as a few of Maggie posing for a photo shoot the production was doing with her that they didnt want me seeing...but I didn (albeit in bad lighting).
