After hibernating for more than a week Rob Pattinson poked his head out today.
He was at the set for Twilight Saga: Eclipse & he was spotted by the paps & fans alike. At the David Thompson Secondary School which is the set for some of the high school scenes Rob was there to film scenes & the paps were there too...and FINALLLLLLLLY, they got him. They got him good.
Photo company Splash News http://www.Splashnews.com got shots most everyone wanted to see, Robert Pattinson as EDWARD!!!
I will not steal the images, instead I will provide links to sites that have (likely) legitimately obtained the rights to the pics.
This was so big that other companies on the job were a bit deflated from seeing that they got the shots everyone was there looking for. There was a sense of "what are we here for now?". But they still hung on till the end with the approximately 100-140 fans that congregated on the grounds hoping to catch a glimpse of the cast members. The cast was well concealed behind more tarps & gates than I've ever seen for anything.
Sometime around 8 (I think) a cavalcade of vehicles left, including Robs, with his bodyguard in the front seat the chase was about to begin. I advised my friend to take to going the opposite direction of where they went since we had a bad angle to start. We caught up a few blocks later & followed him to his downtown residence, where several fans & paps were scouting the area.
He drove in, with nothing for anyone to see. About 2 hrs later. Rob, Kristen, Ashley & Kristens manager were seeing walking along a walkway on the property....we thought we had them. We went where it lead....but they never came out. After 20 mins, KStews manager came out, talked with 1 of the autograph hounds, went for a short walk & came back. We still had things tightly covered. Shortly after that, her manager came back out...this time on my side. We chatted, he told me the cast had given up on going out, and that he was just going solo....then proceeded to leave on foot walking away, not to be seen again.
We hung on for another 1/2 hr or so before finally pulling the pin.
Although it was a fruitless day in the aspect of actually GETTING anything, it was useful in that Rob sightings usually lead to more. Things went like this last time. Nothing, nothing, nothing, breif sighting, nothing, nothing, breif sighting, breif sighting, nothing, everywhere, everywhere etc. I am hoping its the same. I compare it to someone testing water at a pool or the ocean. They dip their toe in first, pull away, then try again, then maybe a foot, then soon a leg, and soon they jump right in. Today he dipped his toe back into the pool again. Maybe tomorrow it will be a whole foot. If anything tonights near close call makes me feel hes itching to go for a swim.
Maybe next time.
I occasionally argue with inanimate objects, but I usually win. So its all good.
