Our Supporting actor/actress awards of course are a bit different than the mainstream awards. With a requirement of no less than 3, and no more than 7 episode appearances in the calendar year, you get a various assortment of notable & less notable people nominated. For the 2nd year in a row, a Supernatural actress nabs the award. After Julia Maxwell took home the award in a narrow win last year, Rachel Miner followed suit this year in a more convincing fashion. With the fate of her character Meg unknown, theres still the chance we could see her back for the award next year? Another observation is, the leader in the semi-finals, Michelle Borth went from 1st to 5th as the option of multiple voting is eliminated we often see contenders who were pushed into the finals with a handful of devoted voters, unable to keep up when they can only vote once.
Rachel Miner beat runner up Yvonne Strahovski from "Dexter" by a 170 vote gap. Another "Supernatural" actress, Liane Balaban took 3rd just 49 votes behind 2nd & 33 votes ahead of 4th place "Fringe" star Georgina Haig. Rounding out the finalists was the "Hawaii Five-O" start Michelle Borth
Rachel Miner gives Supernatural ther 2nd win in this award. They are also the only show to have a finalist in both years.
