This set of categories dealt with Best Actresses in Comedy, Sci-fi or Fantasy & Action or Drama. The Comedy actress category didnt have a single nominee with over 10% of the vote, perhaps showing how evenly matched this category is. The Big Bang Theory resident hottie Kaley Cuoco had the most votes, beating out New Girl lead Zooey Deschanel. Kat Dennings of 2 Broke Girls, Alyson Hannigan from How I Met Your Mother & Jane Lynch from Glee round out the top 5 & making a rare feat in these polls where there is not a show with 2 or more nominees in the top 5. Those who have advanced to the semi-finals will be in BOLD text. SEMI FINALIST VOTING FOR BEST COMEDY ACTRESS Kaley Cuoco "The Big Bang Theory" 128 Zooey Deschanel "New Girl" 100 Alyson Hannigan "How I Met Your Mother" 83 Kat Dennings "2 Broke Girls" 82 Jane Lynch "Glee" 82 Mayim Bialik "The Big Bang Theory" 80 Maggie Lawson "Psych" 78 Melissa Rauch "The Big Bang Theory" 75 Alison Brie "Community" 67 Cobie Smulders "How I Met Your Mother" 67 Lea Michele "Glee" 67 Tina Fey "30 Rock" 55 Gillian Jacobs "Community" 54 Beth Behrs "2 Broke Girls" 49 Amy Poehler "Parks And Recreation" 48 Betty White "Hot In Cleveland" 44 Julie Bowen "Modern Family" 34 Melissa McCarthy "Mike And Molly" 30 Edie Falco "Nurse Jackie" 28 Julia Louis Dreyfuss "Veep" 22 Lena Dunham "Girls" 20 Megan Mullally "Childrens Hospital" 19 The Best actress for sci-fi/fantasy category was completely dominated by voters for the show "Lost Girl" as they pushed their trio of nominees thru 1st thru 3rd. Fringe star Anna Torv was a strong, but still distant 4th, while Once Upon A Time star Jennifer Morrison rounded out the top 5. SEMI FINALIST VOTING FOR BEST SCI-FI OR FANTASY ACTRESS Anna Silk "Lost Girl" 732 Ksenia Solo "Lost Girl" 611 Zoie Palmer "Lost Girl" 584 Anna Torv "Fringe" 306 Jennifer Morrison "Once Upon A Time" 138 Lena Headey "Game Of Thrones" 135 Ginnifer Goodwin "Once Upon A Time" 107 Lana Parrilla "Once Upon A Time" 102 Felicia Day "Eureka" 93 Allison Scagliotti "Warehouse 13" 87 Maisie Williams "Game Of Thrones" 66 Lauren Cohan "The Walking Dead" 64 Salli Richardson-Whitfield "Eureka" 44 Jasika Nicole "Fringe" 43 Erica Cerra "Eureka" 36 Natasha Henstridge "The Secret Circle" 20 Jessica Parker Kennedy "The Secret Circle" 15 Britt McKillip "The Secret Circle" 10 Joanne Kelly "Warehouse 13" 9 (write in votes) Nina Dobrev "The Vampire Diaries" 8 (write in votes) The action or drama actress category was dominated by Castle star Stana Katic, as she got 1 less vote than the 2nd (Claire Danes of Homeland), 3rd (Ellen Pompeo of Greys Anatomy) & 5th combined (Maggie Q of Nikita & Emily VanCamp from Revenge). This set of categories dealt with Best Guest Star, Supporting Actors & Actresses. The Best Guest Star category was all about Fringe & Supernatural guest stars with the top 6, and 7 of the top 8 going to these two shows. DJ Qualls from "Supernatural" narrowly beat out Leonard Nimoy from "Fringe" in the semi-finalist voting. Mark Pellegrino of "Supernatural" and Rebecca Mader nabbed the runner up spots for their respective shows. Those who have advanced to the semi-finals will be in BOLD text. SEMI FINALIST VOTING FOR BEST GUEST STAR DJ Qualls "Supernatural" 103 Leonard Nimoy "Fringe" 99 Mark Pellegrino "Supernatural" 85 Rebecca Mader "Fringe" 81 Felicia Day "Supernatural" 75 Kevin McNally "Supernatural" 47 Mark Sheppard "Leverage" 39 Madison McLoughlin "Supernatural" 38 Cary Elwes "Psych" 34 Wil Wheaton "The Big Bang Theory" 31 Kacey Rohl "The Killing" 21 Jennifer Love Hewitt "Hot In Cleveland" 18 Jordan Hinson "Eureka" 17 Amy Acker "Person Of Interest" 16 Martha Plimpton "The Good Wife" 15 Kathy Bates "2 & 1/2 Men" 11 Margaret Cho "30 Rock" 11 Elizabeth Banks "30 Rock" 11 Jeremy Davies "Justified" 9 The Best Supporting Actor category, which of course has different standards here than at other awards shows, here its by how many episodes you are in. A minimum 3, maximum 7 episodes. Again, a very SPN & Fringe dominated category, which I am sure the fans voting think is great in theory...but what will happen come the finals & they can only vote for 1? Will the vote get split? Osric Chau, Mark Sheppard, Jim Beaver & Write in contender Ty Olsson made it a clean sweep of the top 4 spots for Supernatural, the next 2 spots went to Fringe Observer Michael Cerveris & bad guy of season 4 Jared Harris. SEMI FINALIST VOTING FOR BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR Osric Chau "Supernatural" 280 Mark Sheppard "Supernatural" 261 Jim Beaver "Supernatural" 247 Ty Olsson "Supernatural" 186 Michael Cerveris "Fringe" 16` Jared Harris "Fringe" 78 Ray Stevenson "Dexter" 64 Kurt Fuller "Psych" 47 Wil Wheaton "Eureka" 32 Shaun Smyth "Fringe" 31 Lee Arenberg "Once Upon A Time" 15 Sage Brocklebank "Psych" 14 Anhony Lemke "Lost Girl" 13 (write in votes) Jared Harris "Mad Men" 4 (write in votes) KC Collins "Lost Girl" 2 (write in votes) Best Supporting actress category didnt have the SPN & Fringe domination thanks to former CIA spy turned serial killer's girlfriendon Dexter Yvonne Strahovski. Fringe introduced Georgina Haig to us in season 4, then took her away in season 5, which nabbed her enough attention to get 2 ahead of Supernatural duo Liane Balaban & Rachel Miner. SEMI FINALIST VOTING FOR BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS Yvonne Strahovski "Dexter" 128 Georgina Haig "Fringe" 118 Liane Balaban "Supernatural" 101 Rachel Miner "Supernatural" 98 Jamie Chung "Once Upon A Time" 43 Lauren Stamile "Burn Notice" 37 Michelle Borth "Hawaii Five-O" 28 Katie Findlay "The Killing 28 Barbara Hershey "Once Upon A Time" 26 Katia Winter "Dexter" 17 Kristianna Loken "Burn Notice" 8 Jayne Atkinson "Criminal Minds" 7 Best Of TV Awards - Semi-finalists for Best Director, Best Episode & Finalists Best Talk Show Host12/8/2012 Here are the results for the 3rd set of categories to be voted on for the semi-finalists of the Canadagraphs BEST OF TV AWARDS 2012.

Joining these write-in nominees are 2 Fringe directors Jon Cassar & Joe Chappelle, Ernest R. Dickerson for an episode of The Walking Dead & another Psych director David Crabtree. The second set of categories dealt with favorite shows & characters, as well as Best Couple. In the "Best Couple" category, the runaway leaders in the semi-final voting was last years winners, Bo & Dr. Lauren Lewis from "Lost Girl". Several very popular couples such as Peter Bishop & Olivia Dunham from "Fringe", Rhichard Castle & Kate Beckett from "Castle, Snow White & Prince Charming on "Once Upon A Time", Damon Salvatore & Elena Gilbert from "The Vampire Diaries" all we're well back from the all female couple, as they managed over 40% of the votes. Those who have advanced to the semi-finals will be in BOLD text. SEMI FINALIST VOTING FOR BEST COUPLE Bo & Dr. Lauren Lewis "Lost Girl" 983 Peter Bishop & Olivia Dunham "Fringe"173 Richard Castle & Kate Beckett "Castle" 130 Damon Salvatore & Elena Gilbert "The Vampire Diaries" 110 Snow White & Prince Charming "Once Upon A Time" 106 Sheldon Cooper & Amy Farrah Fowler "The Big Bang Theory" 94 Fiona Glenanne & Michael Westen "Burn Notice" 92 Shawn Spencer & Juliet O'Hara "Psych" 91 Lily Aldrin & Marshall Eriksen "How I Met Your Mother" 87 Penny & Leonard Hofstadter "The Big Bang Theory" 68 Alec Hardison & Parker "Leverage" 57 Dexter Morgan & Hannah McKay "Dexter" 52 Barney Stinson & Robin Scherbatsky "How I Met Your Mother" 50 Howard Wolowitz & Bernadette Rostenkowski "The Big Bang Theory" 40 Rachel Berry & Finn Hudson "Glee" 33 Meredith Grey & Derek Sheppard "Grey's Anatomy" 24 Bo and Dyson "Lost Girl" (write in) 22 Peter & Elizabeth Burke "White Collar" 21 Alison Blake & Jack Carter "Eureka" 18 Jim & Pam Halpert "The Office" 17 Stefan Salvatore & Elena Gilbert "The Vampire Diaries" 17 Jody Mills & Bobby Singer "Supernatural" 14 Carlton Lassiter & Marlowe Viccelio "Psych" 2 Myka Bering & Helena G. Wells "Warehouse 13" 2 The Favorite Character voitng, as with last year, had some of the highest totals of the round. Just like last year, Lost Girl fans filled the ballot boxes, as the show nabbed the top 3 spots. Last year they had the top 2 spots in the 1st round as well.... only to see them fail to turn this voting frenzy into results in the final, as they split their votes amongst their 3 faves, leaving their best chance down in 3rd. Consistent Favorite character contenders Dean Winchester "Supernatural & Olivia Dunham "Fringe" rounded out the top 5. Unexpected newcomer to the polls Carlton Lassiter "Psych" grabbed 6th. Unlike last year, no prominent write-in vote campaigns were around this year, "Lost Girl" lead male character Dyson finishing with the most well back of a semi-final spot. FAVORITE CHARACTER SEMI-FINALIST VOTING Dr. Lauren Lewis "Lost Girl" 585 Bo "Lost Girl" 284 Kenzi "Lost Girl" 216 Dean Winchester "Supernatural" 158 Olivia Dunham "Fringe" 126 Carlton Lassiter "Psych" 107 Sam Axe "Burn Notice" 96 Richard Castle "Castle" 94 Dr. Walter Bishop "Fringe" 86 Dr. Sheldon Cooper "The Big Bang Theory" 79 Damon Salvatore "The Vampire Diaries" 78 Barney Stinson "How I Met Your Mother" 76 Shawn Spencer "Psych" 74 Peter Bishop "Fringe" 73 Penny "The Big Bang Theory" 73 Amy Farrah Fowler "The Big Bang Theory" 72 Sam Winchester "Supernatural" 69 Castiel "Supernatural" 69 Michael Westen "Burn Notice" 68 Emma Swan "Once Upon A Time" 68 Burton Guster "Psych" 68 Oliver Queen/Arrow "Arrow" 67 Parker "Leverage" 67 Kate Beckett "Castle" 66 Dexter Morgan "Dexter" 66 Snow White "Once Upon A Time" 60 Arizona Robbins "Greys Anatomy" 55 Max Black "2 Broke Girls" 51 Abed Nadir "Community" 46 Dr. Gregory House "House" 41 Lily Aldrin "How I Met Your Mother" 41 Charles Meade "The Secret Circle" 41 Tyrion Lannister "Game Of Thrones" 40 John Reese "Person Of Interest" 40 Daryl Dixon "The Walking Dead" 39 Kiera Cameron "Continuum" 33 Jon Snow "Game Of Thrones" 32 Rumplestiltskin "Once Upon A Time" 30 Robin Scherbatsky "How I Met Your Mother" 29 Marshall Eriksen "How I Met Your Mother" 29 Liz Lemon "30 Rock" 28 Troy Barnes "Community" 24 Bobby Singer "Supernatural" 24 John Diggle "Arrow" 23 Dyson "Lost Girl" (write in votes) 23 Meredith Grey "Greys Anatomy" 17 Kevin Tran "Supernatural" 17 Nick Burkhardt "Grimm" 16 Javier Esposito "Castle" 13 Dr. Alison Blake "Eureka" 12 Finn Hudson "Glee" 11 Jesse Pinkman "Breaking Bad" 10 Victoria Grayson "Revenge" 10 Jax Teller "Sons Of Anarchy" 10 Dwight K. Certain fanbases just dont seem to vote here. Generally popular shows like Glee, Breaking Bad, The Vampire Diaries, Sons Of Anarchy or Grey's Anatomy seem to fail to garner support in these polls most of the time, and again, this seems to have happened here. While shows such as Leverage, Community & Lost Girl which arent ratings giants manage to do well. The top spot goes to perennial favorite here Supernatural, while Fringe stayed close to nab 2nd. Castle, Burn Notice & The Walking Dead round out the top 5. Write in leader Lost Girl grabbed 6th, The Big Bang Theory, Dexter, Psych & Person Of Interest round out the top 10.
