If you are confused on how many you can post, ASK FIRST, and I will let you know. The Flash was on location for season 7 shooting on Friday morning, afternoon and evening for episode 717. The director is Eric Dean Seaton, he directed the The Exorcism Of Nash Wells episode last season. This is also the 150th episode for the series. There was 2 parts to this blog... if you saw the 1st set of photos previously & think you saw everything in here already, there is a 2nd set of photos at the bottom that were added later. At this 2nd location, they had Grant Gustin as The Flash, Jessica Parker Kennedy as XS, and Jordan Fisher as Impulse, all on location again with 6 Godspeeds. The scene was vaguely similar to the episode 7x15 set I shot a few weeks ago, except this time Barrys kids were beside him to witness the insanity. The 6 Godspeed clones all seemed to be fighting each other, while the trio of heroes stood, and watched them do it.... then, the trio ran off in different directions. That was it. The last location of the day took place a block away at (report coming as soon as I have the photos edited) an area they have used a fair bit this season (not exactly where they were, but that general block), in front of the new Parq Hotel, The Douglas Hotel, and the new casino that are at the back of B.C. Place Stadium. With these businesses all either closed, or at severe reduced capacity, it was easy for the to get permission to use this street on a Friday afternoon. The Douglas was dressed up to say "CC CITIZEN MEDIA", The entrance for the casino said "Powers Technology" which in the comics is a rival of Wayne Enterprises, and the Parq Hotel said "Goode World Studios", which is a reference to te Young Justice animated series, where that company exists. On set for this scene was Jordan Fisher as Bart Allen / Impulse, and Jessica Parker Kennedy as Nora West Allen / XS. The scene I saw shot was a little complicated to follow because of the way they were chopping it up into small parts for the filming. From what I can sort of piece together.... Godspeed is looking menacing, arms up in the air, then ends up getting KO'ed. Then both Godspeed & XS are on the ground (so was XS on the ground all along, and the camera didnt see it the way they were filming?). At some point XS gets up, and then Godspeed sits up does something with his arm that seems like maybe hes trying to make 1 last attempt to do something, before falling back down. Somewhere mixed in all of this is Impulse letting out a couple really loud "Woooo" sounds, and then we see XS & Impulse having a talk with Godspeed out cold behind them. Bart is all happy & seems like hes trying to tell Nora its all good, while Nora seems to be telling him something in a more stern "take this serious" tone. They then look back at the Godspeed on the ground, go back to their convo, then turn around again, and he isnt there. They then walk a bit towards where he should have been, and that was the end of the scene. Just before I left, they were prepping to do stunts with Noras stunt double, I am assuming that was going to be the part where Nora also ends up down and out on the ground with Godspeed that I saw the after result of. There was a scene earlier in the day, that set report is HERE There will be some video from these scenes to post in the next couple weeks, so come back to find those then, or you can subscribe to my Youtube channel and get them there when they drop. THE FLASH - 150th episode filming - 7x17 with Grant Gustin, Jessica Parker Kennedy and Jordan Fisher5/8/2021 THIS BLOG POST IS FOR A "THE FLASH" SEASON 7 EPISODE 17, & MAY CONTAIN POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR THE SEASON. If you have not seen the episode, and do not want to see or read possible spoilers about it prior to seeing it, do not continue reading the article or viewing the photos below. . . . last warning . . . The director is Eric Dean Seaton, he directed the The Exorcism Of Nash Wells episode last season. This is also the 150th episode for the series. On this day, they had 3 locations. The first, was a small quiet, rarely used side street not far from the location they use for S.T.A.R. Labs exteriors, and just a block down the road from where Abra Kadabra was killed by Fuerza earlier this season. This early morning shoot had Grant Gustin as The Flash, along with returning star Jessica Parker Kennedy as XS, along with recently announced new addition to the cast, Jordan Fisher, as Bart Allen, aka Impulse. For this scene, they started with stunts, as the stunt double for Impulse did a scene where he, and 1 of the several Godspeeds that were on the set, are thrown across the pavement. Both of them ge tup quickly, and face off, but soon, Impulse finds himself surrounded by a gang of 6 Godspeeds. They raise their arms up, Impulse cowers..... and then the Godspeeds just leave.... a moment later, XS & The Flash come in, and the family have a chat. There were a couple other scenes done on the day at other locations I will get to in a later blog post sometime this weekend, or early next week. There will be some video from these scenes to post in the next couple weeks, so come back to find those then, or you can subscribe to my Youtube channel and get them there when they drop. The Flash was on location for an episode of the 6th season a couple weeks ago in downtown Vancouver. It was a late night shoot, that started with severla cast members, including Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, Jesse L Martin as Joe West, Candice Patton as Iris West Allen and Danielle Nicolet as Cecile Horton were on set at this location at varying points. With a lot of picture vehicles on set for the scene, along with the productions equipment, there was very little to actually see of the scenes shot. All I know of the scenes with the actors is that there was a scene where Barry & Iris walk across the gravel parking lot, first 1, then the other a second or two later. Another scene had Joe walking the opposite direction from where they walked to. Later on, the only scene you could see clearly at any point was with Joe standing on top of something and looking forward. A bit later, after the cast had left the lot, they did a huge stunt scene with an exploding car that I was there for, but sort of missed the original explosion as I believed it was going to be the truck driving towards us blowing up, and not a random car in the background. Luckily I had my phone taking photos at the same time I was video taping it, so I got SOME photos of the explosion. But my video, I only caught the after effect of it. Throughout the night, I walked around the set (in fact, while I did so one time, was when Grant, and Candice came over & met some fans. One particular fan was nice enough to let me use a couple of their photos of their interactions in my post here), and found 3 different city billboards they had covered up with Central City specific ads. One for CC Jitters, One for Big Belly Burger, and 1 for Ralph Dibny, along with a parking sign for a Central City parkade. I was most amused with the Dibny one for the fine print on it that states he "No longer performs exorcisms/ demon removal". I am curious, does this have something to do with an upcoming episode? Or, does this have something to do with Dibs in the old timeline? A little curious on that one. At the end of the night, a driving scene was done, that had them drive a vehicle down the street past those ads we saw along the street. All other rules still apply. UPDATE: NOVEMBER 22, 2019 - Details on the actress & character in the final scene have been added. The Flash was on location for the 8th episode of the season on Wednesday at B.C. Place, and Thursday & Friday nights, into Friday & Saturday mornings at Melville & Thurlow in downtown Vancouver. The first of those nights, the cast & crew of The Flash found themselves at B.C. Place Stadium. For those unfamiliar with the shows regular locations, this is where they go for exterior shots of S.T.A.R Labs. This night they had the set up further down the concourse than they usually use. Setting up on the west side of the building, as opposed to the east side, or the North West main concourse, as they have many times before. After some recent changes to the area in the past few years, that side is no longer accessible from the back end (the stadium used to just have a complete encompassing concourse that you could walk all the way around.... but now, the majority of the West & south west part of it is gone), so the only way to catch the filming in this area was either working in 1 of the offices that overlooked it, or, as me & 3 or 4 other fans that night did, go into Boston Pizza, and watch through their windows.... which even with that, was limited to just a few panes on the top floor. Because of this complicated set up, I did not stay too long that night, but I was there long enough to see they had Grant Gustin as The Flash and Sendhil Ramamurthy as Dr. Ramsey Rosso/ Bloodwork out there filming a scene where the pair are walking together up towards S.T.A.R. Labs. The pair did not seem to be in any type of conflict with each other, and it wasnt till after the fact when I was home and could see what I shot on a larger screen I noticed the details on Barrys suit (which you can see a bit better in the upcoming pics in this set... but this first set it is a bit tough to really tell), he has black marks on his logo, his gold ear wings, belt, and dark black fingertips. After they shot that scene, there seemed to be a long break, and so I left, as it was probably going to drag out for awhile, and I had another set that I thought might have better stuff to do that night to get to. What is happening to Barry? Is Bloodwork doing it? On Thursday night The Flash moved their unit a couple miles across downtown Vancouver to a block I have been to many a film set for, but not at the location they were shooting. Melville Street was home to a several story large building & parking lot that many shows used until just as recently as last season, but is now just a crater as something new is clearly being planned for that spot. On this night, the cast & crew were about 1/2 a block east of there in a little courtyard in front of a variety of small businesses that share the corner. The main scene of the evening had an unknown actor in The Flash suit taking the place of Grant Gustin who was off working cross over duty with several others on a different show. The Flash stand in did a scene with Sendhil in full Bloodwork make up, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon, and later in the evening a scene was done with Danielle Panabaker in full Killer Frost attire. Each of the cast there had doubles on set too, but I rarely saw them working except for Grants, and at times the one for Cisco. The night was an all too quick reminder that summer is officially over, as strong winds that night brought the temperature down into the lower single digits celsius. The winds were so strong at points that equipment was knocked over a few times. I actually wondered if there was any point where they considered cancelling the rest of the night. As I said on the night one photos, you can see the details on The Flash suit a lot better here. With the Bloodwork dark vein look all over his logo, and gold trimmings. In the scene with the 3 of them, Cisco comes in with a gun (all the photos I got of that were out of focus, just something about the angle I had, and the light off the gun did not work for my camera), yells at Bloodwork, using the characters name, and then shoots the gun at the villain, causing him to fall to the ground. The Flash then zips over, grabs Cisco and pulls him over to Bloodwork. The trio then were crouched down too low to really see what was going on. At the lunch break Sendhil and Danielle, stopped to take photos and sign autographs for fans before heading off to eat. After lunch, Danielle did a scene that I think she was the only main cast on set for. All I can tell you about it is a lot of extras were running, and she runs in to the middle of the scene then vanished out of my view. Again, like the first night. I left before they wrapped. This time, because of the unexpectedly cold night from the strong wind. On night 3 the cast seemed to be back down to just Grant & Sendhil for the entire night. A woman I had never seen before worked with Sendhil later. More on that down below. The evening started off slow, a scene of The Flash zipping in front of a green screen was done, then a looooong break happened. When I came back to the set from working a different event, they had moved from the court yard out onto the street. When I first got there I instantly noticed a man that for the rest of the evening I referred to as "tall Abraham Lincoln" out there standing on stilts. While I never heard specifically what he was a stand in for, its a fair assumption (I hate assuming in posts on my site, but this seems like a safe time to do it) to think this is a stand in for Bloodwork when he is in full Bloodwork mode. The thing I noticed during the scene they shot with tall Abe was The Flash no longer had black marks all over his suit. Did The Flash finally break the control Bloodwork had over him? Or is this a scene from before it happens? The scene seemed to have The Flash using his speed to punch tall Abe all over. A bit later, they did a scene where it seems tall Abe gets the upper hand, as The Flash is thrown into a vehicle (obviously they had Cody Laudan do that part), and the impact of it completely causes the vehicle to be crushed. Then Grant came back in, to be The Flash seemingly being held by some type of force against the vehicle, having trouble moving off the vehicle. After Grant wrapped that scene, they did a scene with Sendhil and Meera Simhan. The scene had Ramsey in the middle of the street, clothes torn, looking angry, making a motion like he is about to hit someone, when he stops, to look at someone behind him. Its his mother. He then turns around, and a conversation happens between his mom and him. She moves towards him and gently puts her hands on his face and they share a couple moments interacting. In this scene there are no dark veins on Ramsey, he seems to be calmed down. Is his mom how The Flash & the team end up beating Bloodwork? In the season 6 promo where they introduce Bloodwork to everyone, they show him standing over his mothers grave. How does she return? The Flash will start shooting their portion of Crisis On Infinite Earths next week, someone I know on set was told Tuesday, and that about lines up with what I had down as their projected start date for it. Other shows are already on their portion of the Crisis episode. So you should check out my COIE blog section for posts on filming for that when I finally catch up to them. There could be scenes on other shows that pertain to Flash characters that wont be found in The Flash blog section. So keep up to date on them HERE EDIT - 12:40 PM - September 29, 2019 - video added at the bottom from rehearsals of 1 scene, and shooting another scene. All other rules still apply. UPDATE - October 8, 2019 - More photos added at the bottom from both scenes. The Flash was on location for the 7th episode of the season on Friday in downtown Vancouver. The episode is being directed by Chad Lowe. On set during the daytime scenes were Grant Gustin as both Barry Allen, and The Flash, Sendhil Ramamurthy as Dr. Ramsey Rosso, Grants stunt double Cody Laudan as The Flash at some points, and an actress that was playing the victim of a car accident. There was also a stand in for Barry Allen when the camera isnt focused on him, I do not know that actors name at this time. The scene I saw shot really makes almost no sense to me yet. In the early scene Grant was dressed as Barry, and he was standing with Sendhil, as Ramsey. They were staring at a car crash, when suddenly The Flash zips in, and treats a woman at the crash. Barry moves closer to investigate this apparent version of The Flash that he sees there, but it doesnt seem like he interacts with him in any way. Just stares at him as he crouches down near him. Is Bloodwork responsible for this? Why are Barry & Ramsey seemingly chummy still in episode 7? A bit later, it was time for Grant to be dressed up as The Flash. During that scene, we see him zip in, and treat the woman at the crash. At one point he takes his glove off, and seems to place his hand on her, and moments later, the woman comes to. All while Barry & Ramsey look on. This is of course the first on set in public shots of Grant in the new season 6 suit. It was also the first on set look at Sendhil as Dr. Ramsey Rosso on set. They are still filming more today, but I felt that you all would want to see these first on set public photos of Grant & Sendhil on set together. I also dabbled a few times in here with a new watermark font. Let me know if you like it, or the original one. THE FLASH - episode 606 title & some set photos with Grant Gustin, Hartley Sawyer & guest actors9/10/2019 THIS BLOG POST IS FOR A "THE FLASH" SEASON 6 EPISODE 06, TITLE "LICENSE TO ELONGATE" AND MAY CONTAIN POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR THE SEASON. The Flash was on location for the 6th episode of the season Friday, Monday & today at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Vancouver. The theatre has been home to many scenes over the years. In fact this season Supergirl & Legends Of Tomorrow have also used the theatre. This time, it was in Midway City, and this time, an Art Pavilion. Just like this shoot last week where we caught Grant Gustin and Hartley Sawyer sitting in a car outside of the Midway City Art Pavilion, this time, we found the pair on the inside of the Pavilion, still in Midway City. With a title like License To Elongate, and a lot of well dressed people at the event, I am getting a James Bond inspired episode centred around Ralph Dibny feel. But I cant confirm that. Just how it felt with the title, and the event they were at, and the way they were dressed. There were other actors on set with the pair. Carlo Rota, Alexa Barajas Plante & Rebecca Roberts were also shooting some of the scenes throughout the 3 day shoot. I know almost nothing about their characters at this time, except that Alexa was wearing the red mask that I saw someone wearing at last weeks set (I am guessing it was a stunt double for her as it was definitely not the same actress I saw then). UPDATE 6:53 PM, September 10, 2019 - Alexa is playing a character named "Ultraviolet". Over the 3 days at the theatre, a variety of background, and episode specific actors were seen. But the only main cast on set were Danielle Panabaker, who is directing the episode, Grant & Hartley. All of the filming was inside the threatre, so no other details are currently known about the shoot. On the second day, we were all greeted by a monsoon type downpour for about half an hour. Vancouver is no stranger to rain. We arent even a stranger to intense rains. But when we get intense rains, they usually wash out of the system in 1-3 minutes, but this just kept going for 15-30 minutes. At one point Grant had gone to his trailer for a break before the storm hit, and when he came back he had to navigate the increasing river of water that was now flowing down the street. Two hours later, the roads barely looked like it had rained, except for a couple small puddles. Good thing the production wasn't shooting exteriors that day, they would have had to stop for probably more than an hour, as they would not have had just to wait out the storm, but to make sure equipment was working. Could have been a costly storm if they had been outside for it. Strange part was, there was no sign in the weather forecast yesterday of any type of massive rainstorm, just a few scattered showers. During the 3 days, each cast member, including the director, took time to meet with some of the fans. Danielle stopped going into, and coming out of the set on the first day, even at 2 AM after a 14 hour work day to sign & take photos. One last tidbit I picked up while being there. Michelle Harrison, who plays Nora Allen, will be back. Whether it is for episode 6, or 7, I can not say. But one of those two eps, she is coming back for. The Flash was on location for the 6th episode of the season Thursday & Friday at the Pacific Central Train Station (aka - the train station we first meet Barry Allen getting out of in Arrow in Starling City). This time, Barry Allen was again there, but like last time, it was not in Central City again. This time, it was in Midway City, and this time, an Art Pavilion. For the first day & 1/2, the cast & crew were filming in an inaccessible to the public part of a basement in the station. During the time I was there over those two days, I saw Grant Gustin, Hartley Sawyer & Danielle Panabaker from the main cast going in, or coming out of there at some point. Along with a couple guest stars. One was Carlo Rota. Another I saw on the 2nd day showed up looking like a businessman of some type I never caught a name of. There was also 1 woman on the first day, a young attractive Asian woman, in all black leather, with a metal mask that was red. I dont know what her role was, but I did not see her the 2nd day unfortunately, so I never got anymore info than seeing her leave the 1st day. After the interior filming wrapped on the 2nd day, the crew and cast, along with the episodes director Danielle Panabaker, headed outside to shoot some night scenes. Of course, I had my hopes up that I might finally see The Flash in his season 6 uniform, but much to mine, and likely most of your disappointment, no such luck. Instead Grant & Hartley filmed a scene inside a car as Barry Allen & Ralph Dibny staking out an event at the Midway City Art Pavilion inside an only 1970s style car. Since the only vantage point to see this scene was the equivalent of about 3/4 of a football field away, shots for it are a bit fuzzy at best. Also should be noted, there was no way I could see what they were saying, or the tone of the scene. I did see the pair exchanging some laughs on occasion, but it was uncertain to me if they were during filming, or between scenes. The only thing I do know about the scene is at the end of it, Ralph gets out of the car and walks around to the back of it. Later on in the evening there was going to be a stunt shot with some men holding out guns that were going to get flung thru the air. I saw the stunts team practicing the scene in the daytime. But that was going to be filmed much later, so I didnt stick around to see it.
