![]() THIS POST MAY CONTAIN POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 414 OF ARROW. If you do not want to see or read any potential spoilers prior to seeing the episode please leave now. . . . last warning . . Arrow will be airing episode 414 "Code Of Silence" tomorrow. The episode was directed by the shows stunt co-ordinator James Bamford, for his 2nd go at director this season. Shortly after the show returned from their Winter break I caught them downtown Vancouver shooting scenes for this episode at the historic Vogue Theatre. While the majority of the shooting was indoors throughout the day, there were a couple scenes shot out on the busy Granville Street on a cold January night. Several fans waited in the dingy & dirty alley behind the theatre to see the cast. The only cast member who was willing to meet them that night was Stephen Amell. He took the time to meet with each person there and do photos with & sign autographs before heading back in to film more. While others were seen leaving & arriving, none of them stopped to meet the small crowd of fans. The first scene shot had the big spoiler that I posted a few weeks ago... which of course everyone knows about now since its aired on TV. Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak in a wheelchair. She filmed scenes with Paul Blackthorne as Quentin Lance and Charlotte Ross as Donna Smoak in front of the Vogue, which was apparently the theatre for a "Star City Mayoral Debate" between newcomer Ruve Adams (aka - Ms. Damian Darhk) and Oliver Queen (aka - The Green Arrow) After that scene wrapped, the crew took a while to set up for their next shoot, which took place on the awning of the Vogue. Katie Cassidy and her stunt double dressed up as the Black Canary spent time up on the roof shooting scenes where they watch Janet Kidder as Ruve Adams leave in a towncar, and then after that watched as a supply truck drives off. It appears when shes watching them leave that shes speaking to someone (probably on 1 of the com devices Team Arrow uses often). Arrow airs Wednesday nights on The CW in the U.S. and on CTV in Canada.

Arrow films scene for ep 409 "Dark Waters"Â with Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak - NOTABLE SPOILER10/31/2015 THIS BLOG POST CONTAINS A NOTABLE SPOILER FOR ARROW EPISODE 409 "Dark Waters". If you have not seen this episode and do no not want to see or read any possible spoilers prior to viewing the episode, please do not continue. . . . last warning . . So, as promised. When this blog post with the photo of Olicity kissing hit 15,000 views (took you 7 days, I predicted 3.... guess you didn't want this as bad as you say you did), I'd post video of the scene. A scene by the ways that a certain faction of the internet have been quick to jump to conclusions about (especially after the near slip up in episode 404 when Thea asks felicity why she isn't wearing "it"). Surprise Surprise they were not wrong In a scene shot in front of a variety of other cast including Paul Blackthorne, Katie Cassidy and Charlotte Ross (I believe David Ramsey and Willa Holland as well, but I never actually saw them there... but heard them referenced to being there by crew) Oliver Queen (played by Stephen Amell) proposes to his Team Arrow techie/girlfriend Felicity Smoak (played by Emily Bett Rickards) in front of a bunch of supporters of Oliver at a Mayoral Candidate rally. After this scene, they shot a scene of the couple leaving and getting into a limo. The crew tried keeping the public much further back than most Arrow shoots. This is a show that's usually been quite accepting of fans watching their shoots, but on this night they took extra precautions, including buying up the entire city park so that no one, including the dozens of locals who walk their dogs thru their daily could even go thru and had no less than 6 Vancouver Police there to enforce it. So, my only vantage point of this scene was from about 200 yards away. The video is a bit grainy (ok, a lot grainy), dark and obviously will look much better on TV as a finished product. But here it is... the first look at The Proposal. Arrow shoots Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak shooting an Olicity scene for season 4 as they kiss10/22/2015 Despite the fact that I have been quite public about how the Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak "ship" known as "Olicity" is ruining Arrow, I know at least a few of you who still haven't angrily vilified follow my blog posts. So, tonight there was a scene shot. A couple kiss in the scene in front of a crowd of supporters at a rally. The couple Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak. Now due to where they filmed the scene, and the lighting and the time of night... photos from it are well.... shitty. It was about 200 yards away (imagine 2 consecutive football fields) in the dark, and with my $500 camera. Soooo, yeah, of course they are fuzzy. But hey, I was the only blogger that bothered to stick around and photograph this for you all. So your welcome? There will be a more detailed post on the entire days filming when I have more time. But for now, an Olicity shot (albeit pretty grainy) for now of their kissing scene tonight. NOTE - removing the watermarks from the photo in use on other sites will result in it being taken down, and depending what the hosting sites policies are, could cost you any accounts you have with the site(s). Its HERE for FREE. This post contains filming information for Arrow episode 317 "Suicidal Tendencies". IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THIS EPISODE AND DO NOT WANT TO VIEW POTENTIAL SPOILERS, DO NOT CONTINUE READING OR VIEWING THE PHOTOS BELOW. . . . last warning . . Arrow was filming scenes a couple months ago for episode 317 "Suicidal Tendencies" in East Vancouver at a hall they have used several times for several things. This time, the hall was not a hospital, or hall of records, but a wedding hall. As I tweeted back when the shooting happened, the cast were shooting a scene for a wedding, and although my joke that it was Ray & Felicity wedding was met with some anger by overly sensitive Olicity fans, the true happy couple was eventually sleuthed out by the fanbase. David Ramsey and Audrey Marie Anderson as John Diggle & Lyla Michaels were shooting scenes where the couple gets re-married. Of course Dig & Lyla had a few friends at their joyous event of note. Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer, Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak, Willa Holland as Thea Queen and Colton Haynes as Roy Harper and Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance were also all at the event. Very little of the actual filming could be seen from outside. Only things I can confirm are things that are already known on the internet. It was a Dig & Lyla wedding, and Felicity catches the bouquet. Outside of that, no dialogue was heard, and very little of the scene could even be seen thru the 2 pglass doors, dozens of extras and equipment. Of course, what would a Suicide Squad themeed episode be without a member of Amanda Wallers bunch? A scene was done outside after the reception scene with Dig & Lyla walking to a limo and getting in. Waiting for them on the inside was Michael Rowe as Floyd Lawton, aka - Deadshot. What takes place inside the limo, who knows? Perhaps the SS was playing security detail for the wedding? Or, Lyla or Dig was being called away to a job. Will have to wait till next week to see. This was what I call the "beginning of the end" of the Arrow set being a place where you could go & meet the case easily. There was no less than 20 people throughout the day at the set, and at 1 point, 19 people were there at the same time. Sure enough, it encouraged many of the cast to start sneaking out the back doors when they were on a break instead of coming out the front doors as they did when there was only 5 or 8 of us. This was of course part of what I call a "perfect storm" of circumstances. The 4 big productions in town were all on location that day (Flash, Once Upon A Time & Supernatural along with Arrow), as fans went to the other locations & found them to be either inaccessible, or boring, they all flocked to the Arrow set where they were hearing about how many cast were there & how accessible they were. It was clearly obvious that 1/2 of the people at the Arrow set that day were not even fans of the show, but just wanted to meet "someone famous". I miss the days where there was just 2 or 3, and sometimes just me, at the set. Arrow airs Wednesday nights on The CW in the U.S. and on CTV in Canada. As I told you in my blog on Saturday, Arrow has begun filming for season 3 in Vancouver. The 1st public day of filming had a few things. One thing it had was a lot of trailers. No less than 9 cast trailers were on set for the shoot, and I have only managed to account for 6 of them... so was there someone from a morning shoot that everyone missed? Or even LATER in the late night Fraturday shoot (that there will be a blog on later this week) that I missed? Guess I will have to wait to see. So heres a quick peek at who I saw trailers there for. As well, a guest star? He was escorted by an AD, had a transportation vehicle waiting. So he wasn't just any background extra. An escapee from iron Heights? Of course, 95% of you didn't come here to look at pics of trailers or a guest star. I'm not a fool. So, onto the main topic of the post. Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak, out, together...maybe on a date? Those of you who have read the synopsis for the season premiere already know that Oliver asks, or intends to ask his lovestruck tech girl out. The question is... was this him asking her out.. or the actual date? The scene didn't offer much from an action standpoint as Stephen Amell and Emily Bett Rickards would walk down the stairs together, as Stephen occasionally spoke. So Olicity fans, here is your temporary fix till October. I have tagged a couple of the photos off image, or low down on the image for a couple of you who asked for images without the tag. I DO NOT usually do this. I did a couple.. just to see if you guys abuse it or not. If you can be civil & respect the fact that I did it, and NOT REMOVE THE TAGS, I may do it more often for Arrow photos.
Season 3 of ARROW will begin airing October 8, 2014 on The CW in the U.S. and on CTV in Canada. You can see my past Arrow blogs HERE You can follow Stephen Amell on his Twitter or his Facebook (1 of the best celeb FB pages there is) You can follow Emily Bett Rickards on Twitter. Over the 1st two seasons of "Arrow" (on the CW in the U.S. and on CTV in Canada) I have managed to catch up to the cast quite a few times, in quite a few scenarios. On set, airports, hotels, even a couple cast get togethers. As a whole, the cast has been pretty great with the regulars in town. I have also gained quite a few photos from those encounters from times that I just, for whatever reasons, never blogged about. They somehow fell thru the cracks of larger posts at the time, or simply I didn't feel there was enough to do a post on at the time.... so here they are. My unseen pics of the past 2 years. Firstly, the star of the show. Stephen Amell. This past season I ran into him quite a few times, seemed for awhile he was at every location I ever went to. So these off set interactions with him might have fallen by the wayside easily enough from late this past season. Each time, he stopped for me and the others there, and happily signed for us. Hes been a class act here, glad they cast someone who was not just physically capable of the role, but also a good guy with the public off set. Also, if you don't already... you really should follow his Facebook Page, he is easily 1 of the more engaging & entertaining celeb son FB, and his memes he re-posts from the public are usually pretty good. Hes honestly 1 of the very few things I even go on facebook to see anymore. Below are pics from an encounter during "Family Day" (a fake holiday B.C. invented for an extra weekend off) & 1 pic from running into him at the end of the season... as well as the WORST photo with ever (my fault...didn't gtell the guard something my camera was going to do) that I got on the set the night they filmed the tunnel scene for the finale. I am definitely gonna have to get that re-done in season 3. Stephen Amell Official twitter profile In season 1, I found the Arrow set just a couple blocks from my house. UNFORTUNATELY, it was 1 of the hardest rains I can ever remember me enduring at a set and was all in doors. But I was determined since I really wanted to see the man who would play Count Vertigo, again, Seth Gabel. I had met Seth many times on the set of another show he did here "Fringe" (a couple of these pics are from then btw... I just had never used them so thought, may as well now). I caught up with Seth, and he had 2 out of country fans there to meet him too. He stopped even in the torrential downpour to talk to them, and signed for me & my buddy. I joked with him how less than a block away was 1 of the last places I saw him when he filmed Fringe. He told me he remembered it and when he was coming into work that day he passed it & instantly remembered what he shot there. An added bonus that day was my 1st ever time seeing Detective Quentin Lance in person, Paul Blackthorne nearly snuck by me because I was looking the other way...but I caught him just long enough to snap off 1 pic. he then signed a couple autographs for my buddy across the street. Since then, I have seen Paul many times. Always been a great guy. Nowhere near as abrasive as Quentin is. Seth Gabel Official Twitter Profile Paul Blackthorne Official Facebook page Paul Blackthorne Official Twitter profile When Arrow originally cast the pilot of the show, they probably had not even thought of who would play Felicity Smoak. Little did they know a year later she would be the most popular female character on the show & essentially the lead female on the show. Emily Bett Rickards got cast in the role that is now a staple of every episode. I've caught up with her many times, and shes always been really friendly with us. Here is 1 such encounter from last May 2013 that I never managed to find time to post. Emily Bett Rickards Official Twitter Profile In season 2, the writers of Arrow decided to bring back the Sara Lance character. However, they wanted someone with a background that was capable of doing physically challenging scenes. So they re-cast her. In came relative unknown Caity Lotz. The woman who would eventually become "The Canary" (writers clearly wanting to keep the BLACK Canary title for the person they said was going to be it) became a mainstay throughout the season. I managed to catch up to her a few times early on, including this encounter as she was leaving town for Christmas break. Caity Lotz Official Twitter Profile In the final week of filming, I managed to catch up to 2 Arrow baddies. 1st up was the man who plays the seemingly unkillable Malcolm Merlyn. John Barrowman arrived in Vancouver to shoot his finale scenes, and I managed to get him at the airport. In true John Barrowman fashion, he gave me a couple wild poses as he came out the door to go to his vehicle. Hes always looking to leave a lasting impression on the fans. The next day, I caught up to Deathstroke. Manu Bennett did a TV interview to promote an event he was going to be at. I managed to catch up to Slade Wilson on his way out of the interview, and he happily signed for me, as well, told me quite candidly that it might be quite awhile, if ever, before we see Slade/Deathstroke again as nothing was guaranteed for his return in season 3. I told him the writers always find a way to bring people back, he seemed less certain. Fingers crossed the Arrow writers find a reason to have him back sooner, rather than later. John Barrowman Official Facebook page John Barrowman Official Twitter profile Manu Bennett Official Facebook Page Manu Bennett Official Twitter profile IF I don't get too sidetracked (which happens often unfortunately) I might write my review & opinions on season 2 of Arrow in my new TV episodes, seasons & series review blog I made (so far only has 1 whole entry...kinda slacked off on that). So you can possibly see that soon.
Arrow will start filming season 3 in Vancouver in July. Arrow Official Facebook Page Arrow Official Twitter Profile THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR ARROW EPISODE 222 "STREETS OF FIRE". If you have not seen the episode & do not want to see or read any details prior to viewing it. DO NOT procede. . . . last warning . . A few weeks ago I caught Arrow filming a major night time scene for the penultimate episode titled "Streets Of Fire" The scenes I saw tell as much as they dont tell if that makes sense. What is noticiable is "Team Arrow" seems short handed in this scene as they have Felicity Smoak out helping "the team" (just Diggle & Oliver) on an overpass with a plethora of crashed & burning cars scattered on the Georgia Viaduct, which Arrow paid big $ to have closed down for the night so they could get these big scenes done. Diggle, Oliver & Felicity are making their way along the overpass when someone screams & the group goes running. Thats all I could see from my viewpoint at the time. Later, I changed sides, and took the 5 minute walk to the other side of the overpass where I was able to see they were rushing to an overturned car looking for someone who had already fled the scene. Later on, after Stephen Amell, Emily Bett Rickards & David Ramsey had wrapped for the night, the crew filmed a big scene that many of you have surely seen form my teaser photo on twitter a few weeks ago, or the most recent Arrow promo video. Slade has been making a mirakuru army & we see his results as a Deathstroke mask wearing army marches along the overpass seemingly towards the city. After they wrapped these scenes, I tried to get photos of 1 of the cast members in the mask, but kept getting denied when I asked. I guess whoever was in charge of co-ordinating them told them to try not to be photographed in them. Only pic I got of the mask close up was while 1 guy was holding it up against his chest after he took it off. Arrow airs Wednesday nights on The CW in The U.S. & CTV in Canada. |
