A couple weeks ago I stumbled across a set for the film "The Company You Keep". The film stars a literal cornucopia of notable names like Brendan Gleeson, Stanley Tucci, Susan Sarandon, Sam Elliott, Anna Kendrick, Terrance Howard, Nick Nolte as well as Shia Labeouf. To top it all off, the director is Robert Redford, who is pulling double duty as hes in the film as well.
On this particular day I caught a scene of (Robert Redford) Jim Grant, a small town lawyer suspected of murder leaving an apartment and getting into his car. Following Jim out of the apartment is Ben Schulburg (Shia Labeouf), a reporter for an Albany newspaper that is investigating the murder & Jim.
It is hard to hear what is being said because of traffic, but the scene is pretty easy to follow. Ben is pursuing Jim for info/answers to a question he has, and his body language suggests he didnt get it.
The Company You Keep is scheduled for release in either late 2012, or early 2013.
Cool video of Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles engaging with some lucky fans on the set of Supernatural
I dont generally post stuff from other peoples pages or sites because I like to keep this place primarily focused on this sites materials.
Buuut, occasionally something comes along and I say "this is too cool not to post". As I would expect from anyone re-posting my materials, I dont claim to own this, and am posting it from the direct original link on youtube so that they get the views for it.
So, here is a video from youtube that a user posted.
It is Jared & Jensen in the Impala, and they stop near some fans. Jared chats with them, and Jensen waves at them as they leave. Pretty cool piece of fan interaction.
MILD SPOILER WARNING - DO NOT CONTINUE IF YOU WANT TO KNOW ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT THE UPCOMING SEASON!
Below is a couple short videos of scenes shot Wednesday night in downtown Vancouver for Fringe.
The first video shows Walter ( John Noble ) & Olivia ( Anna Torv ) in a malt shop where a pane of glass shatters after people start fleeing, and the pair jump out of the now broken window & flee.
The second video is from a different angle a bit later as they do the scene of them fleeing again, but from a bit closer.
NOTE- Dont bother stealing the video to upload on youtube or your personal blog/websites. Its here for free. YOU CAN LINK TO THIS POST to your hearts content. But if you upload the vid somewhere else, it will be removed by your host, and depending what their rules are about this stuff...you could lose your blog, website or channel.
The 2nd video from the Supernatural filming the other day. Told you there wasnt much to it.
Even less to see in this 1, as you really can only see Jared for most of it, since Jensen is behind a post.
Thanks to the anonymous filmer of these videos who asked not to be credited (wise move - considering Cliffyboy claims he lets fans take pics). Wonder if these FAN vids will send Clif into an ALL CAPS RAGE and just try to stop anyone from taking pics or filming now. Dont worry Tiny, I'm sure the company thinks your still doing a stand up job of blocking SOME photos from being taken, as well as representing the company in a good light by making disrespectful gestures at people on camera and boasting about it on the internet. The CW must be proud of that.
So Thursday there was a couple scenes done for Supernatural downtown.
I was lucky enough that someone with a little handheld camera phone taped a few seconds of 1 of the scenes for me.
There isnt much to the scene. Just Dean walking away while Sam stands there.... but, I suppose its better than nothing for all of you.
I'll post it on youtube sometime later this week for those who arent having luck seeing it here for whatever reasons... so dont try posting this on youtube, or your own personal sites...it will get taken down... as some of you are already aware of. Simply link to this blog
Last April Supernatural was shooting part of their season finale in downtown Vancouver. I got a bit of video of them shooting it before crew asked quite nicely "dont post any spoilers please"..... so I have patiently waited. The season is now in the bag.
So, SPOILER FREE to the majority of the world, a very short (and frankly, non-descript scene) scene of Jared Padalecki (Sam Winchester) & Erica Cerra (Robin) walking into a hotel together.
If the video wont work for you here, I apologize. You can see it on youtube, but with tags for this site, here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5Sc3_-s65E
Today is the day theatres around the country will have the new Simon Pegg creation "Paul" in them (check local listings for location & times).
Without saying too much spoilery stuff, its essentially a film about two guys (Pegg & his often co-star Nick Frost) who are travelling across the country & end up with an alien (voiced by Seth Rogen) that is trying to escape Area 51 as a passenger.
The film is rated "R" for sexual references & drug use. So perhaps keep your kids at home for this comedy.
One thing is certain, Simon Pegg (Hot Fuzz, Shaun Of The Dead, Star Trek, & currently filming- Mission Impossible 4) is proud of it & thinks you will love it.
I asked the Paul star to give me a few words on it, and he quite literally gave me a few words...but the few words he chose suggests "go see this movie". Sooooo, i will be doing so today, and with Mr. Pegg still in the city filming MI4 right now, maybe he might stop in and see it himself...even though hes probably had to sit through it multiple times already...but if its as good as he says, why wouldnt he?
A few of you asked if I had anymore Hellcats vid of last nights kissing scene between Gale Harold (Julian) and Aly Michalka (Marti).
Yes I do... but like I told those that asked...this one wasnt as good as the last one because I moved around a bit & my camera lost its focus for a second or two.
But here it is anyways, and an answer to a few other questions I was asked...or read on other sites about it.
1- Why did the scene take 2 hours? Filming is always this way. A simple 20 second scene often takes an hr or two to shoot, as they change angles to shoot it from, almost always it takes more than 1 take, the director may ask them to do it slightly different way each time etc. Plus they filed more than just the part shown in my video, it was the only part I had any angle to shoot. There was 2 other parts to the scene where they continue making out from the door to a wall 15-20 feet away that includes them disrobing each other (partially).
2- What was Gale saying in the scene? No idea. I was about 100 ft away & it was just off a moderately busy st with lots of background noise to drown out any chance of hearing stuff.
3- Why does Marti look different in the two videos from the other post? No idea what you are seeing that makes you think that. It was all from the same take, I just stopped recording for a few seconds because the take prior seemed a lot longer & I didnt want to record 30 seconds of inactivity.
4- when will this air? Rough guess 4-8 weeks. Probably more in the 6-8 weeks timespan.
5- Are they filming the season finale? I do not think so. There is still 1 month of filming left and an epi usually takes about 2 weeks to do... so by my estimates this puts it at the 3rd to last episode.
Now, all that aside....... Another little issue.
The last videos I posted managed to find their way to youtube, photobucket & 2 websites without my permission. The content is on here FOR FREE... so there should be no reason to be stealing it & posting it on your page. Simple link to my article is fine, but downloading the video & re-posting it on your site...even if you "credit" me is not acceptable. I dont post this so you can re-post it & circumvent people coming to this site. TBH I dont know how you are doing it, I was under the impression it was blocked from downloading. If you post the article, thats fine, but any reference to the videos should be a link to the site.
I have already had to put in violation complaints to youtube & photobucket & will be doing the same to 2 websites tomorrow if my simple request to remove them voluntarily isnt met.
Tonight I saw a few scenes for the locally shot CW series Hellcats done.
*****SPOILERS POSTED BELOW IN THE VIDEOS...DONT PROCEED IF YOU WANT TO AVOID ANY SPOILERS*****
Ok, still here? Ok, you have been warned.... soooo here we go.
Earlier scenes were somewhat generic, involving the shows star Aly Michalka & guest stars AJ Michalka (her sister) & Jim Byrnes (from Highlander) at a guitar store that involved Aly chasing out the store after AJ.
But the real big scene was later a block away when Aly's character (Marti) & Gale Harold's character (her professor Julian Parish) shared a little more than the average teacher student relationship does. For more than 2 hours, I saw Aly & Gale do 3 different angles of 1 scene, them kissing. The first angle was however the only 1 that had any potential for shooting. Later angles were done from the other side of the door, thus we couldnt stand where were standing when they were shooting from behind Aly, and the final scene, although I had an angle to shoot it, I would have seemed like a complete ass trying to, since the film crew was mere feet away from me shooting the scene from the exact same spot.
Video attached is split into 2 parts (there was a bit too long of a pause in between parts for my liking).
I was working on a Hellcats blog unrelated to this one as it was, but bumped it for this blog. Pics from todays daytime shoot will be added to that blog later this month.
A short little video I never posted before because there was so much controvery over "what happened" that night at the time. I have a couple others, but this was the only one where a plethora of expletives in the background isnt overheard...soooo... this is the one I picked to post.
Hardly epic stuff... just Rob & Kristenw aiting for an elevator... but, just thought I should post a little warm up stuff for the impending return of the tween/20s demographics super-couple.
With Breaking Dawn returning here imminently, the hype around these two in Vancouver will heat up again, but, of course, it will never be anywhere near the level that it was at during Eclipse.
I occasionally argue with inanimate objects, but I usually win. So its all good.
