THIS BLOG POST CONTAINS PHOTOS AND BREIF SCENE DESCRIPTIONS FOR EPISODE 412 OF "ONCE UPON A TIME". If you have not seen this episode and do not want to read or see possible spoilers from the episode, do not continue. . . . last warning . . Back in November I caught the cast & crew of the ABC fantasy series Once Upon A Time shooting in Steveston for episode 412. Like many trips to Steveston, the crew squeezed in as many scenes as they could to the small fishing village that stands in for Storybrooke, Maine. With so many scenes set for the day, once again I saw many different cast throughout the day. When I first got there, I saw Jennifer Morrison, Lana Parrilla, Ginnifer Goodwin, Colin O'Donoghue & Emilie de Ravin shooting scenes in the middle of Monctor Street (aka - Main street in Storybrooke). The scene had Regina & Emma run towards something, then Hook, Mary & Belle come up behind shortly after. In between takes the women eagerly grabbed their winter jackets to keep warm as Steveston has a reputation for being several degrees cooler than most other places in the Lower Mainland, while Colin seemingly seemed ok in his Hook attire. They continued filming with these 5 in the middle of the street before moving on to more scenes.                     Then the crew moved on to scenes where Lana & Jared Gilmore shoot a quick scene that seems to show Henry getting ready to go to school (seriously, does this kid ever actually go to school anymore? Also, who is teaching the kids?? Mary seems busy with other things). Next up was a scene where Jennifer drives down a street in the yellow Volkswagen Beetle that everyone knows as Emma Swan's car. Her passenger.... none other than Regina. A little later, there was a scene next to Mr. Golds with Colin & Jen where they exchange a couple quick words, a quick hug/kiss and proceed along the sidewalk with their arms around each other. At the time I thought I had found a great spot to sneak pics of this scene.... only to find out when I walked around where the crowd was watching from they had a pretty good view of the scene as well.             Finally, scenes were done after it got dark in the middle of Moncton Street with Robert Carlyle and 2 cast members I had never seen prior to that moment. Victoria Smurfit & Merrin Dungey. Of course there has been plenty of news since this scene was shot about the 3 big bads of the back end of season 4 being Kristin Bauer van Straten as Maleficent, Smurfit as Cruella De Vil and Dungey as Ursula.... but at that time, no one really knew who Dungey was yet except for a couple fans that recognized her instantly. The scene showed Cruella, Ursula and Mr. Gold walking aright down the middle of Main street talking and part or all of the topic of conversation seemed to be about Regina from what I could make out from snippets of conversation during the takes. Once Upon A Time returns NEXT WEEK, Sunday March 1st on ABC in the U.S. and on CTV in Canada.

THIS BLOG POST MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 404 OF ONCE UPON A TIME. Do not continue reading, or viewing the photos if you do not want to see or read anything about the episode prior to its airing. . . . last warning . . (PS - sorry, if links dont work in this blog post. Every time I made an edit to this blog all the links would vanish... so I dont know if they will work or not. Guess scroll over them and see if a link shows itself? Theres been a LOT of problems with Weebly the last week or 2 since they changed their system... hopefully this is a temporary glitch). I know it seems like I have already had 50 Once Upon A Time season 4 set reports already... but really its only been like 7. Maybe the fact this is for episode 404 is why it seems like so many. I caught OUAT filming scenes for this episode in Steveston a couple months ago and decided I should start getting these up faster (I was overwhelmed with so many sets from the earlier shoots, and preparing for my annual trip to Toronto that a LOT of blogs got pushed back...and I am just getting caught up now). So there wont be a lot of description to this than to say it had a scene where Elizabeth Mitchell as the Ice/Snow Queen (heard it both ways) is hurrying thru the side streets of Storybrooke with Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan in hot pursuit with her gun out. This also of course is where that pic of Jennifer with her hair in every direction was from that Jen liked so much she tweeted it shortly after I had posted it on twitter myself. More random than that had to be seeing Jen and her stand in and stunt double, along with Elizabeth and her double all at the same time. At some point, scenes were also shot with Jared Gilmore as Henry Mills, but I never actually SAW what his scenes entailed since the absurdly fan unfriendly production had people shoved back, behind a side street so that NO PART of the scene was visible to them... a tactic they have gotten all too familiar with trying to do every shot in Steveston now. They really do act like they own the town. Anyways.... here are pics from this shoot... I have some night scene shots from this day as well with a few different actors coming soon as well. The 4th season of the hit ABC fantasy drama "Once Upon A Time" has begun filming in and around Vancouver, BC, Canada. Last week I caught the cast & crew out working in Steveston, or as you know it "Storybrooke" for a 2 day shoot. There was several scenes filmed over those 2 days, and I got a LOT of pics, so I am having to divide up things into 5 blog posts on it...yes FIVE. There was just that much stuff. So there will be blog posts on Jennifer Morrison & Colin O'Donoghue working together POSTED HERE. There is a blog post solely on the night shoots POSTED HERE. There will be a blog post on Ginnifer Goodwin & Josh Dallas working together along with a variety of other cast. There will be a blog post solely committed to the 2 Dwarves I saw filming over those days, and anyone that crossed paths with them in the scenes. Finally, there will be a blog post solely on the newest character for season 4, from the hit movie "Frozen" Queen Elisa, played by "Fringe" alum Georgina Haig. After a quick opinion poll on twitter, you guys decided you wanted to this set next, so here it is.    The Prince Charming ( Josh Dallas ) and Snow White ( Ginnifer Goodwin ) scenes that were shot primarily were with the pair, and a new baby (did they use the new parents own baby for the scenes?? I think they may have judging by their reactions to the baby in question for the scene during breaks) walking along with Emma (Jennifer Morrison ) and Henry Mills ( Jared Gilmore ) just before Captain Hook ( Colin O'Donoghue ) comes along to snag some time with Emma. This was the 1st time Josh Dallas and Ginnifer Goodwin were seen on set since the arrival of their own child this past off season. The pair seemed generally good and lots of cast and crew seemed eager to welcome the happy couple to work suggesting it might have been the 1st time many of them had seen the pair on set.                          The next day Josh Dallas filmed some scenes where he goes for a run after Emma and Hook after they see *spoilers...gonna have to wait till my blog on the 2 dwarves*. The pair also shot a night scene with several other cast members that are posted in my night shoot blog. After a quick opinion poll on twitter, you guys decided you wanted to see the night shoot pics next, so here it is... in all their grainy & sometimes slightly blurry goodness. Lets start off with a bit of baby time. The night scenes gave Josh Dallas and Ginnifer Goodwin a chance to shoot scenes with a baby (is it their own baby filling in for the role?). During breaks Ginnifer Goodwin would interact with some of the cast carrying the baby. I nabbed a couple pics of her interacting with Sean Maguire, while holding the baby.          The night shoots were hard to get much out of. The crew was being unreasonable, abusing their "power" (they have little to none...but the Richmond RCMP let them act like they did) so they had the fans actually standing SO FAR AWAY from where they were filming, there was literally nothing at all to be seen of the scene, from any of the angles where they were making everyone stand. Of course, I am not much for just accepting such absurd demands. So I did wander around, till I found a spot that helped me at least see part of the scene for awhile and helped me manage to get some shots of the scene. It was scenes with Marian (Christie Laing) out in Grannys Diners front yard yelling about what a monster Regina ( Lana Parrilla) is to a group of onlookers that included the Evil Queen herself. Robin Hood (Sean Maguire), Roland ( Raphael Alejandro) Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue), David & Mary (Josh Dallas and Ginnifer Goodwin ..as well as a baby), Emma (Jennifer Morrison), Henry (Jared Gilmore), Leroy & Walter (Lee Arenberg and Faustino Di Bauda) were all on set for these scenes at various points.                    A later scene saw Regina storm off throught the main street of Storybrooke after the altercation ended. What was the Evil Queens reaction to the verbal attack? Not too sure. The only audio that anyone could pick up was when Marian was yelling. All the scenes in the courtyard were partially or fully blocking most of the cast with crew, equipment and shrubbery. So there was not a lot that you could see at once. The 1st night, no cast came over to meet fans. Much to the chagrin of the couple dozen die hards that waited till 12:30 AM. But Lana Parrilla (on her birthday) did tell them she would be back there tomorrow. Sure enough, next night the majority of those that waited (some did not, because they waited near the barricades where they thought the security people would bring her over to) got to meet Lana when she stood around in front of the set and met with fans before security rushed her off while she was still talking and holding a fans hand. A few weeks ago, I caught Once Upon A Time filming a few blocks from my house with a couple of their main cast. In this particular scene they filmed Henry & Emma walking across the street of a New York intersection. Of course, with the mid-season finale now aired, we now know that Henry & Emma are living in New York City with their new memories. Unfortunately, I only got there in time for 1 take... and with the considerable rain that was falling this day, I didnt have the best position for the scene as I looked for a spot that was dry & sort of in view. In any case, here are the shots I got of the 2 BOTVA (Best of TV Awards 2013) finalists that are still going on right now, Jennifer Morrison (sexiest actress) & Jared Gilmore (best youth actor) filming that 1 take for an upcoming episode of OUAT. Earlier in the day, they filmed scenes at a "NYPD Station" which had Colin O'Donoghue & Jennifer Morrison filming a very notable scene for CapitanSwan fans. I'll have some of those photos coming soon (probably early 2014). Once Upon A Time will return March 9, 2014 on ABC in the U.S. & CTV in Canada. The longer than usual hiatus is probably to avoid competing with the Winter Olympics... but I don't know why they aren't           This blog post contains possible spoilers for "Once Upon A Time" season 2 finale episode. If you dont want to know anything about this episode, DO NOT read the article or view the photos. . . . . last warning . . Late last week I made the trek out to Steveston to catch some filming of the ABC hit "Once Upon A Time" as they were working on the season finale right now. When I got there, I found them not in downtown Steveston as I assumed they would be, but out at Garry Point Park, a couple blocks west of there. Cleverly wedged in amongst a pile of trees in a little garden, they filmed a couple scenes there, including the 1 I managed to get a few pics of. In this particular scene I saw Henry (Jared Gilmore) playing on a rope while Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle) watched. Off camera Emma (Jennifer Morrison ), David (Josh Dallas) & Mary (Ginnifer Goodwin) waited for their cues. Because of the conveniently placed garden rocks & trees, you lose the group for a few seconds, before eventually catching Emma & Henry talking infront of a rock, leading to Henry tightly hugging Emma in what appeared to be a very saddening moment as both characters showed sadness on their faces. Also in the scene was Beverly Elliot...somewhere. I never saw her in the scene, but heard them calling out her cue. I saw at the set, so I know she was there, just didnt see her in the scene. During the day, several of the stars met with fans, including Jared Gilmore, Josh Dallas, Robert Carlyle & Beverly Elliott. As well Ginnifer Goodwin & Josh Dallas stopped for a couple fans during a short break at the food tent, despite being needed back at set immediately. Last week I made the trek out to Steveston to see the ABC hit fantasy show"Once Upon A Time" do a bit of filming. Since the last time I saw them, in downtown Vancouver a month or so ago, some big reveals have happened...mainly that Neal/Baelfire is Henry's father, and that Rumplestiltskin/Mr.Gold is his father, making Henry's Golds grandson.... and you thought YOUR family had issues. This particular day I saw 2 scenes being shot. The 1st had Robert Carlyle (Gold) & Lana Parrilla (Regina) walking along a path thru a fence in the background as Jared Gilmore (Henry) had a little play battle with wooden swords with his newfound dad Michael Raymond-James (Neal). So it looks like the Gold-Cassidy-Swan-Mills family is seemingly doing fine... although, no Emma hanging around during the boys playtime. Is there a rift between her & Henry after he found out she lied to him? Or is this simply some father/son bonding time as his grandpa & adopted mom chat in the background? Only time will tell. There was a lot of playing around leading up to the scene, which was shot in 3 or 4 parts. In a couple takes Jared clipped Michael on his hand with the wooden swords hard enough that he went running away shaking off the hit. Later in the day, they moved over to a pier, where they did a scene with Lana Parrilla & Jennifer Morrison (Emma) sitting on a bench, as Emma was holding the fairytale book of Henry's. I also took a few photos of the prop carps & signs, most notably for me, the 1983 computer ad on a bus stop. A left over from when they filmed the flashback episode that is coming up soon...or were they doing another flashback scene in this episode? So here is the photos from that day. Enjoy.
