The Best Actress In An Action Or Drama Program of 2012 as voted by you the fans was.. STANA KATIC "CASTLE". Early on it looked like a 3 horse race as Katic, Ellen Pompeo, the eventual runner up from "Grey's Anatomy" & Jennifer Carpenter "Dexter were within mere votes of each other for the 1st couple days. However, eventually the rush of support for Castle pushed on & eventually eliminated Carpenter from contention & in the last day had enough of a push to give the modest breathing room Stana had over Ellen to turn it into a comfortable win. This category was influenced stats wise by a rush of voters that came in from The Walking Dead, as their fans voted on the awards that their show ere in at that time in the sci-fi/fantasy categories, which were on at the same time as the Action/drama categories. Michelle Dockery from "Downton Abbey" and Mireille Enos of "The Killing" got left behind early by the throngs of supporters for the top 3. Eventually Katic, the actress who plays "Castle" detective Kate Beckett triumphed. Stana Katic beat runner up Ellen Pompeo by 281 votes. In 3rd was Jennifer Carpenter 292 votes out of 2nd & 635 votes ahead of 4th place Michelle Dockery who finished 306 votes ahead of the final finalist Mireille Enos. Stana Katic wins this award for the 2nd year in a row. She is also the only actress to make the finals last year & this year in this category. Despite being in the same roles last year, Pompeo, Carpenter & Dockery were not even nominated last year, and Enos didnt get out of the nomination round... of course, with the "Sci-fi" category now being re-named "Sci-fi or fantasy" category, nominees from Once Upon A Time & Game Of Thrones who provided challenges last year have moved, leaving the door open for new challengers. The Best Couple of 2012 as voted by you the fans was.. RICHARD CASTLE & KATE BECKETT "Castle" . This poll was basically 2 different polls in 1. The 1st couple days, it was all Lost Girl couple of Bo & Dr. Lauren Lewis, as they had almost as many votes as the 2nd, 3rd & 4th challengers combined for awhile. The last couple days was all about Castle. In the end, the Lost Girl fanbase just was not large enough to hold on. Personally, I see the Caskett win as a bit underwhelming. I for a long time wanted this couple to get together...but when they finally did, I just didnt feel like it was all that special. The will they or wont they was answered, and it lead to pretty underwhelming results in my opinion...however, Castle fans disagreed with me & voted them in as best couple on the 1st year they were officially eligible. "Castkett" beat runner ups Bo & Lauren by a slim 58 votes. 3rd, Fringe couple Peter Bishop & Olivia Dunham "Polivia" was a distant 280 votes back, and 94 votes ahead of 4th place "Shamy" The Big Bang Theory couple of Dr. Sheldon Cooper & Amy Farrah Fowler. The Sexiest Actress of 2012 as voted by you the fans was.. STANA KATIC. This year, Castle fans, more than even last year when they took 3 awards, came determined to win. This poll & the best couple poll had a similar result, as a nominee from the TV show Castle beat out Zoie Palmer & Anna Silk, who finished 2nd & 3rd. The 34 year old Canadian (coincidentally the same age as last years winner...also a Canadian) from Hamilton, ON (how did I not know till now she was born the same place as me?) has gained quite a fandom with her role on the Crime Drama Castle, which has catapulted her to the top of many peoples want lists. Stana Katic beat the now 2-time runner up Zoie Palmer by 61 votes, while her cast mate 3rd place finisher Anna Silk finished 72 behind her. Former "Chuck" & now "Dexter" hottie Yvonne Strahovski finished 4th 73 votes behind. "Fringe" star Anna Torv rounded out the top 5 only 16 votes behind Strahovski.
