Facebook - The place where joining means you can be in a group you dont know about, be forced to see an ad that offends you and read things your friends have done, but not in the order they were done.... and you cant do ANYTHING about it.

Ok Facebook, whats your damage??? Seriously.

For years now you have had ads on the side of your page. Fair enough. I understand. HOWEVER, you also have the OPTION TO BLOCK SPECIFIC ADS..... atleast thats the OUTRIGHT LIE you pass off to your clients.

You have various ads that are supposed to appeal to the specific user based on some random shit that you guys claim isnt data mining our profiles. Of the 10s of thousands of ads I have seen, MAYBE 3 have ever appealed to me. Biggest problem is, 25% of them are for adult dating sites.  Because my profile said "single" your ad program seems to think "this guy really wants a dating site". FUCK YOU YOU FUCKING FUCK FUCKS. No, I dont. You would KNOW THIS BY NOW, if you actually did what you CLAIM TO DO when I click to delete those ads & BLOCK THOSE FUCKING SITES FROM SPAMMING ME WITH THEIR ADS AGAIN!!!!!! 

See, they give you several options after you delete an ad. 1st up is "Hide ALL ads by *insert company name here*".  As any normal person does, I of course always click that. Next up, a list of several reasons WHY I didnt like this ad. Theres offensive, sexually explicit, against my views, Uninteresting, Misleading, Repetitive and many more. That RIGHT THERE should be IT. No more ads from that site. As soon as you tell facebook "I dont want ads from this company because of this reason" there should be an auto-block from facebook that prevents that company from harrassing you again on the facebook site. But that doesnt happen.

 Despite telling facebook to delete the ad. Despite telling facebook to hide ALL ads from that company. Despite even telling facebook what it is the advertisement has done to generate your anger & vitriol over it, this doesnt end those ads from coming up OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

In the last year+ since I started really keeping track of these things, I've "blocked" ads from Match, mate, zoosk and others more than 10 times each. I even went thru the creative idea of taking "single" out of my profile in a misguided attempt to stop this bullshit. It didnt stop.

A few days ago was when I finally had the last straw and felt it required a rant. I had an ad from one of these whore factories....IN FUCKING FRENCH. Yes, you read that right, FRENCH. I'm not from France or Quebec. Theres no sign I speak it in my profile. Yet there it was....and its not the 1st French ad I've seen. I've seen others. This was just the 1 that finally was the breaking point. Facebook has options to block this shit, shouldnt I NEVER FUCKING EVER see another ad from these companies? YOU are the ones who implemented the option. Now FUCKING FOLLOW THRU.

On average there are 5-7 ads on the side of the page. Almost ALWAYS there is 1 from a company I already told Facebook to block ads from. Usually, the mass majority (5 to all 7) are for products I would never need, want or care about. Just looking at the 7 currently there, 5 of them I will NEVER EVER EVER need.... the other two, probably unlikely & certainly not in the immediate future. When is this bullshit of posting ads I might actually care about going to happen?? You've been mining my data for several years now. How inept is it? Actually, based on how many Zoosk ads I have seen since the first time I blocked their ads, its the most inept anything on the planet.


So, to the next facebook problem. On my personal account, not such a problem. But on my business one, where I have several hundred "friends" its a massive one. People add you to a group you have no interest in being in. THEY add you. Not you, THEM. They can decide at any time that you would be interested in being in a group about nazis, bdsm or a religion you dont believe in, or all 3 for those with varied tastes.  Its UP TO YOU to remove yourself from the group...and if you are foolish enough to have your facebook account attached to an email account you use for other things, well..... you will get countless emails FROM that group till you delete it if its an active group.


This practice needs to end IMMEDIATELY facebook. This shouldnt even be remotely allowable. I am pretty sure this borders on harrassment & probably other crimes. Imagine if someone you know adds you to a group of an offensive nature. You dont really think of it, because you dont really use your facebook that much. You go to a job interview, whch in this day & age, many employers use your social media/networking sites as a gague of how you really are. They see their client is a member of "hates this specific thing thats liked by the majority of sicety" group, and thats enough for the potential employer to turn you down. You have lost the job because of a group you never joined on facebook, but some smart-ass friend decided it would be funny to add you to it. It seems like a far out there example of how abusive this non-consentual power can be, but it is possible & you just know, its surely happened somewhere already, if not, dozens of times.


The last issue today to discuss.... why the fuck is my timeline always in some random order that makes NO SENSE? I immediately change it to "sort by most recent" again, like ANY FUCKING NORMAL PERSON WANTS A NEWSFEED TO BE, only for it to go right back to "random non-sensical order" the next time I come on. Top it off.... theres NOWHERE to make the change permanant. I have to manually change this setting every fucking time. So not only do you guys want everyone to read their timeline out of order, you dont even allow people the option to permanantly change it to the normal setting that those with a functioning brain want.


I realize facebook is NEVER going to read this. Even if my growing desire to kick Mark Zuckerberg in the balls does make their "security" personnel aware of my existence, they still wont forward these LOGICAL FUCKING DEMANDS to the people that need to read them. 

Why wont they? Because working for facebook means you are mentally challenged, and not the "hey he/shes trying to contribute to society, so we find everything he/she does so wonderful, he/shes an inspiration for overcoming so much" type either. I'm talking "they really only are contributing shit, piss, screaming & the consumption of food to the world" type of people. The world would actually be more productive without them. 

Sad part is, somehow, theres people in that company who have graduated some sort of post-secondary institution programs. Which leads me to believe the problem isnt the people hired, but the company itself. Clearly once you enter the building, they lobotomize you first, then incase some logical brain function still is happening, they electroshock you for a couple days, then probably drown you for 6 hrs....then ask you for suggestions on how to make the site better. Its the only plausable answer to the way the site has regressed in the past 3-4 years.


Anyways... thats my rant for now. I need to get off the computer, since I am sure the facebook legal team will be knocking on my door within the hour to "discuss" my desire to reward Zuckerfuck for all his years of stupidity. When they get here, I will 1st keep handing them fliers to dating sites, then ask if they want them, and if they say no, hand them the same flier again.  I'll then tell them to go into a room of people with interests in stuff they dont care about... then once they have removed themselves from there, I'll answer their questions...but not in the order asked. Afterall, its the only way someone from facebook will understand it all.
