But I have found a reason to post it, because it was this night, the night she returned from an awards show, that she gave me a teaser glimpse into what was to come for this season.
At the time, the season was fairly new & there was a lot of uncertainty of how they would play out the Olivia/Altlivia story. I told her I hoped they didnt drag it on too long with Olivia being stuck in the alt-world, she assured me they werent going to. I suggested anything over a season would be far too long, that is when she dropped a nugget of knowledge that I am now starting to see getting played out.... she said, with no hesitation that "I think it will be dealt with very soon". Had she already filmed scenes for these episodes?? Unlikely. This was a few months ago now & usually, shows are filming maybe 6-10 weeks ahead of schedule. But perhaps she was privvy to the writers ideas of where they were taking this story. In any case, I remember at the time thinking that I hoped she was right in her feeling.
While I certainly do like the idea of an alt-world & showing it from time to time, reality is, the fans want toe real world team back together, and the sooner they do it, the sooner this show will start to win back some of the fans that are slowly tuning out.
Where do they go with the story line after she returns home? I dont know yet. But its sort of clear the story they are selling right now isnt being bought by too many. The show is constantly in talks amongst TV analysts as possibly being cancelled (although I really dont know how FOX could, considering the utter crap they have recently brought in, like Running Wilde & the fact it was pre-empted for a few weeks for a sport that no one watches).
Its nights like that one, where the star of a show gives me their true opinion/insight on what they think may be going on with the show, that make me enjoy this job.
