Coming off their hit 1st season on the A&E network, the cast of the drama "Bates Motel" went to Comic-Con to promot ethe upcoming 2nd season.
Although production had not started on the show yet, several of the cast were in town preparing for the season prior to their SDCC engagement. I caught up to Freddie Highmore (Norman Bates), Nestor Carbonell (Sherriff Alex Romero) & Emmy nominated Vera Farmiga (Norma Bates) on their way out of town. They were all pleasant signers & also seemed incredibly excited to see each other there. Clearly they hadnt crossed paths much, if at all since being in town. Which wasnt too surprising considering they wouldn't even start filming for another week or more.
On the return, I caught up to those 3 again, along with Max Theriot (Dylan Massett) & Olivia Cooke (Emma Decody). While Vera seemed a little less receptive than when she was leaving town, the rest of the cast were again terrific with anyone that asked them for photos or autographs.
Since this show doesnt film in Vancouver (it films in Aldergrove, about hour outside the city) this was my 1st chance to meet any of this cast.
The thing I found most disturbing from them was, how the majority of the cast were being driven around by a driver who is hated by the B.C. Film industry. Whichever company that hired this person to drive people from an industry shes blacklisted in really should have done their homework a bit better. Of course, she probably lied to them on her resume, doubt she added that she was fired from being a transport driver on sets because she lied on her application for that job.
The 2nd season of Bates Motel will start airing sometime in 2013 on A&E.
