Last Warning . . This week season EIGHT of the hit USA Netowrk comedy/drama "Psych" started up. With season 7 currently airing in the U.S. I decided I should get this long overdue & almost forgotten set of photos of a guest star they had here for their large 2 part musical episode that will air later this year. So who is the mystery returnee? YANG! Yes, Ally Sheedy was back in Vancouver last year to film scenes as the insanely dangerous Yang. I caught her at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre preparing for a scene, but of course didnt get to see her film the scene as it was indoors. A few days later I ran into her on her way to a get together a few of the cast members had. Psych airs Wednesday nights on USA Network The musical episode will be near the end of the season.

THIS BLOG POST CONTAINS POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR THE SEASON 7 FINALE OF "PSYCH". Do not continue reading or watching the videos if you do not want to see any possible spoilers. . . . . Last warning . . Back in October, the hit USA Network Crime Procedural comedy Psych was filming their season 7 finale....even though the premiere wouldstill not even air for 4 months. On the day I caught them in North vancouver, there was a couple short diriving scenes done. I apologize for the background sounds on both of them... I frankly dont know whats up with the odd sounds (the clicking of my camera aside.. at least I know what that sound is). First up... a scene where the Blueberry pulls up to a stop after Henry's truck pulls into the lot beside them. The second video I wish I had the zoom option on my camera working smoother at the time. Something I learned on this day... when my camera gets reallly wet (which it was really wet that day) Sometimes basic functions dont react immediately...such as zooming out/in. So here is a video of Henry Spencer driving by with a message for Shawn & Gus (who are off camera for the scene) On Halloween day, I caught the Psych crew & cast out filming on North Vancouver as I previously told you all here http://canadagraphs.weebly.com/6/post/2012/11/this-past-week-psych-spent-halloween-filming-scenes-for-the-season-7-finale-no-spoiler-post.html In addition to the Shawn & Gus solo scenes, there was a few scenes with a 3rd notable cast member..... HENRY SPENCER! When I 1st got to the set that day, I saw the blueberry & Henrys truck parked beside each other. Now I have known for a long time Henry was around this year... and thanks to the spoiler killers at USA Network, so does anyone who has seen their promo ad, with Henry standing behind Shawn & Gus. This was, however, the 1st time I had seen Corbin Bernsen on set since he called my friends and me mistaken about him filming a few months ago when we caught him out at the River Rock Casino filming scenes. There was a couple scenes Henry was in. 1 where the blueberry was follwing Henrys truck. Then later, the more entertaining scene. When I first saw the scene being shot, I wasnt even aware it was Corbin I saw, it didnt make sense. The scene was Shawn & Gus leaving a hot dog stand, and their eyes follow a sign going by (off camera... which Corbin himself was carrying...but we couldnt read it at the time). I just thought they woulda had a crew member do such a menial task since it was off camera....but it sure enough was Corbin. A little later, they turned around and did the filming from the angle of what Shawn & Gus were seeing. In this scene, you see Henry's truck rolling down the street, Henry has his arm out the window & is holding a sign. On the sign, it has simply 2 words "Suck it". Of course, a phrase used often on the show. They did 3 or 4 takes carrying the sign, then did a couple takes of him not holding the sign but instead making a gun motion with his hand. So it was actually pretty hard for me to get a great shot of him with the sign out the window, but, I managed as good a shot as any of it as you can see below. As for the gun/hand takes, even harder, because of the rain soaked windows & the lighting. I tried playing with the colours a bit to make it more noticable, but its only moderately better. I will have video of the scene up later on when I have a bit more time, maybe closer to the season start... In the mean time, heres some photos. . . . Last Warning . . This week, fans of the hit cult USA Network show "Psych" found out finally what the start date would be for the 7th season. Like a Ewan O'Hara punch, the collective community of fans were hit with a near knockout blow by the USA Network. Their beloved crime fighting team will not be seen till FEBRUARY 27th!! Yes, February 27th, 2013. To give some perspective on this disrespect, -Season 6, the season just before it started October 12, 2011. More than 16 months will have gone by till the season 7 premiere. - By February 27th, 2012, 9 episodes from season 6 had already passed. - Season 6 finale was April 11th, 2012. More than 10 months earlier than the season 7 start date. - The ENTIRE PRODUCTION of season 7 will have been filmed & wrapped for just a couple days short of FOUR MONTHS before the 1st episode of season 7 even airs. Now these facts lead to a pretty unappealing scenario for Psych-o's everywhere. Either The USA Network is hoping the show will fail, or they have already agreed to end the show & are trying to drag out the finale of the networks longest running show (wrestling doesnt count). Is it possible the networks longest running show is being given the heave-ho? In recent years USA Netowk has had some new blood in their pool with the success of Suits & Necessary Roughness. But they are still a network that has a limited amount of shows & Psych, their longest lasting one (no one counts WWE, sorry USA) could be on the outs?? Well, to hold over the Psych fans out there till the network brings back Maniac Maniac 19, Guy Buttersnaps, Lassie, Jules, Chief Vick, Woody, Buzz and yes Henry (he will be back in SOME capacity) here is a short video of Shawn (James Roday) & Gus (Dule Hill) shooting a scene for season 7 a few months ago. What you cant see in this scene is the Blueberry. Its off to the left in the repair shop.
