THIS POST CONTAINS NOTABLE MAJOR SPOILERS FOR FILMING OF "PSYCH SEASON 8". Do not read or view the photos below if you don't want to see or read anything on season 8 prior to seeing it. . . . last warning . . . I caught up with Psych for more filming from their expected series finale. This particular day, I was determined to go to the set because I knew a guest star that was going to be there. A very special, very Psych relevant guest star that they clearly wanted in the show at some point... Ready Psych-o's? Here it comes. You ready? BILLY ZANE will be in an episode of Psych... and not just as a pop culture reference this time. I dont really know what his role is in the episode. I know there was scenes shot with Billy, Shawn, Gus & Henry either together, or in various combinations, on a trail inside a park in Burnaby. Later, I found them at a house where Shawn, Gus, Lassie and guest stars Billy Zane & some Acadamy Award Winning Actress by the name of Mira Sorvino did scenes in a house. I also saw tweets that said Deon Richmond was on set for this episode. Clearly Psych is pulling out all the running gags for their probable series finale. One of the cooler moments I have had on a Psych set came at the end of the work day. Having gotten James, Dule, Maggie, Kirsten, Corbin & even Steve Franks in my "Psych's Guide To Crimefighting For The Totally Unqualified" (an entertaining read by the way) on previous encounters, I still needed Timothy. So I tweeted at him that I was waiting outside hoping to get my book signed....didn't think he'd even see it in the 1000s of tweets he gets daily. But sure enough, when he left at the end of the day, he walked over to my friend & I and instantly said without hesitation "so which 1 of you is Canadagraphs?" then he signed my book, completing the cast. Something interesting that was found out during this shoot. Maybe you should sit down for this 1. Some of you fans might not take this news as well. Gus is moving on up car-wise. In a shocker, the Blueberry is no more. Gus has a new job, and a new company car. Like many prop cars that shows get, for insurance reasons, the blueberry was crushed. So sadly, no one will be taking it home as the ultimate Psych prop gift. The Blueberry was the 1st notable, Psych specific item I heard about being let go of by the show in their final weeks. The lease on several locations they used, including the office for Psych also happened in the final weeks. With so many iconic parts of the show now gone, does this mean the end for the series? Sadly, yes. Even though the USA Network or NBC Universal hasnt said so yet, this show is done. I'm saying it if they wont. Feel free to come here & point & laugh if they bring it back, but when cast leave for other projects and they let go of their most notable locations & props, its done. Several cast have moved on. Dule Hill has a Broadway role, Corbin Bernsen very publicly stated he wont be back, and of course James Roday said to me in my last encounter with him "since this is the end of the line..." when he was talking to me about all the autographs I got from him over the years and how he wouldn't see me again. Is it possible for a return of Psych in some form? Maybe. But it will not be any time soon. It will not be another season. it will be a TV movie at most. It will be 3-5 years from now. They will have to wait till they A- Get the OK from NBC Universal/USA Network to do 1, tne B- Have all of the cast available. That isnt coming together in the next year for sure. If there is no TV movie in the next 5 years, then there will never be a return. For now, the show is ending after 8 glorious seasons. To the cast - thanks for a great show & more or less always being great with myself & other fans at the sets. To the crew - For the mostpart, I found you all to be really classy, respectful & helpful to myself & fans visiting the set, something that isnt always the case for all shows. To the creators, directors & writers - You have earned my applause, a lot of applause. To the fans. All great things must come to an end. But dont worry.... you still have several more months to get there....oh, and I still have a couple more nuggets to post from season 8 filming....so theres that too eventually. In the mean time, take in some pics from 1 of the last Psych sets I ever encountered.

A few months ago, I caught the new J.J. Abrams & Joel Wyman sci-fi cop drama, Almost Human out filming scenes for their 1st season in an area known as "Olympic Village". The scenes were between the cop partner duo of the human with a artificial leg Karl Urban (John Kennex) & the robot with the human emotions Michael Ealy (DRN - aka "Dorian"). In it, it appears Dorian was shot on duty before his partner walks up to him. This was my 1st time catching them filming since the pilot episode. It was also my 1st time catching Michael Ealy on set. After seeing the preview video they released during Comic-Con for it, I am eager to see this show play out. This was also my 1st time getting autographs from any of the cast on set, as I managed to get both Urban & Ealy on the set. Below is some of the photos from this shoot. Almost Human debuts in less than a week. November 17 & 18, 2013 on FOX. You can sneak previews on the FOX Website if you are in the U.S. This time last year I was eagerly following the Joel Wyman sci-fi cult classic "Fringe" everywhere I could as they filmed their final season. This year, a Wyman project, backed by J.J. Abrams will again be a focus of Vancouver film set fans, as "Almost Human" has started its production on its inaugural season of this buddy cop sci-fi themed drama. The premise, from what I can piece together is in the future, members of the LAPD will be teamed with robotic lifelike partners. John Kennex (Karl Urban) is a cop on the LAPD who has a dislike of robot partners. After an accident which sees him get a synthetic replacement leg, he takes time away from the force before returning. When he does, things have changed some. Human officers now must have a robotic partner. He is teamed up with Dorian (Michael Ealy) who has actually developed emotional feelings & is considered defective by the department. I cant say I have figured where Valerie Stahl (Minka Kelly) fits into the story yet, but she also plays a role in the series. Along with Mackenzie Crooks, Lily Taylor & Michael Irby they are the main primary cast. When they filmed the pilot here several months ago, I caught Karl & Minka doing a scene where a secured delivery truck was flipped over on the street. Here is some from the set of photos I got from that day. I will have more from the show as the season goes on. You can see the FOX promo video for it (which looks reallllly good) here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykwxg534yAw ALMOST HUMAN will debut Monday November 4th, 2013 on FOX at 8 PM (7 Central) *NOTE TO FAN BLOGS/TUMBLRS/FACEBOOK PAGES* Those who have not dealt with my site in the past.... I am ok with you posting some of the photos. Long as you follow these simple rules. You may re-post A COUPLE (2 or 3 max) photos from here on your fan sites, as long as you do not remove the watermarks, and properly credit them to this site. Please ONLY post a couple though. If I see a post with all of them, I will contact your provider/host site if needed to have them removed. EDIT - October 18, 2013 -
The photos below are for episode 405 Kupu'eu. I labeled them as Ep 404, as it was labeled "Episode 404 Kupu'eu" on the call sheet. THIS POST CONTAINS NOTABLE SPOILERS FOR EPISODES 404, 408 & 409 OF "HAWAII FIVE-O". If you do not wish to read or view spoilers of these episodes till you have seen them.... DO NOT continue. . . . last warning . . This past weekend an unusual film unit was seen around parts of the Vancouver area. While the signs said "K & M" (previously used by the TNT crime drama "King & Maxwell") it was not infact the start of season 2 of the recently canceled show shooting around Vancouver, instead it was scenes for season 4 of HAWAII FIVE-O. The reason for the Hawaii based & filmed show being shot in Vancouver, BC, Canada is still unconfirmed, but the majority of people believe it has to do with 1 of the shows 4 main stars, Grace Park. No stranger to Vancouver herself, Park was recently believed to be pregnant & had the child here in Vancouver, where she lives. To accommodate the fact the star needed to be close to home for now, H5O found themselves on unfamiliar ground filming scenes in Vancouver over 2 days. First up was scenes in Stanley Park & Chinatown on Saturday that featured Park as her H5O persona Kono Kalakaua in various scenes around the city. Later in the evening they moved to the often used Terminal City Ironworks where Daniel Dae Kim filmed some scenes as Chin Ho Kelly. On Sunday I caught up to the crew preparing to do scenes at TCI, this time with Grace & Ian Anthony Dale as Adam Noshimuri the on the run lovers did scenes which will be in episodes 404, 408 & 409. I managed to see part of 1 scene being shot for ep 404 which sees Kono & Adam in China driving & being chased. The pair turn off of a street & into an alley, inside TCI that is dressed up to be a side alley in China. The pair find out its a dead end & Adam tries to run before he is captured by 2 henchmen played by Mark Chin & Darryl Quon. The henchmen take Adam to an SUV & leave with their newly caught prisoner. There was no chance to see this whole scene in its entirety as the scene starts & ends within public view, but for about 20 seconds the scene vanishes inside the TCI compound before it leads up to its end. Because of this, you only get to see how the scene starts, and ends. Another spoiler I snagged by being observant, it sounds like Adam will be missing for at least 5 episodes as there was a scene filmed there earlier in the day for ep 409 where Chin & Kono are having a skype convo that states Kono is still looking for Adam. I managed to meet Grace Park after her filming was done. With help from a very co-operative crew member who essentially said "I'd like to bring her to you on her terms, is that ok?" and while I've heard that dozens of times over the years & more often than not, its a lie, this particular time, with this particular crew member, it was legit. She happily signed a couple items for me & nervously laughed and said yeah it was, when I said to her it was cool of the H5O crew to work around her schedule by moving production to Vancouver for a couple days. This crew member handled this as professionally as anyone on any set I can recall. While I was disappointed that I never caught up to Daniel Dae Kim who was here for filming, nor Alex O'Loughlin & Scott Caan who I don't believe were ever here as they were not even on the call sheet. Grace made up for it & solidified me as a fan of a show that was already on my top 15 list of current shows. The 4th season of Hawaii Five-O is on right now on CBS every Friday. The 2013 Vancouver International Film Festival has started & this past Thursday, 1 of the many industry parties they have here took place at the popular CinCin restaurant on Robson Street. If you are aware of your Vancouver actors & industry people, this was a whos who of people you probably knew. Even if you are a moderate watcher of Vancouver filmed TV & movies, you likely could have walked by the short red carpet set up they had & went "hey, I know them from something". A lot of the stars out at this Brightlight Pictures party were of course there to promote films they had at VIFF this year & possibly get the word out about ones for next year. The cast for "Leap 4 Your Life" was out in full force. John Cassini, April & Ava Telek, Anne Marie DeLuise, Nicole Oliver, Julia & Peter Benson just to name a few were in attendance at the party promoting their VIFF comedy which has been perhaps the most talked about film so far. Julia Benson was also there promoting the comedy-drama "That Burning Feeling". Co-star Jordana Largy was also there. A trio of former Supernatural "monsters" were also at the party. Mark Pellegrino (Lucifer) was there to promote his new upcoming CW show "The Tomorrow People". Christopher Heyerdahl (Alastar) was there to promote his AMC show "Hell On Wheels" & his VIFF film "Three Days In Havana". Ty Olsson (Benny) was there as well. A couple of the cast from CTV Whydunit crime drama "Motive" also showed up, Louis Ferreira & Roger Cross were there throughout parts of the evening. Roger could have been doing double duty promoting "Arrow" as well, or even triple duty for "Continuum" with his co-star Jennifer Spence, she was also there promoting "Down River" with her husband/director Ben Ratner. The Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) featured locally shot "Horns" also was represented at the party. Laine MacNeil (most recently seen on "The Killing") was there. The most casually dressed trio award went to Matt & Mike Granger who were there promoting their still unfunded comedy "Alien Abduction" with 1 of its stars, Patrick Gilmore. After finishing 2nd this past summer during the Cinecoup Contest, this film is still being considered by those involved if the funding for it ever comes together (oh, for the record... SOMEONE NEEDS TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN). A couple of "Alphas" stars were there as well. Laura Mennell, along with Warren Christie & his wife Sonya Salomaa (from this past season of "The Killing") were there to take in the festivities. The Northern Canadian CBC hit drama "Arctic Air" was represented at the party as well. Series creator Gary Harvey was there with the shows stunning star Pascale Hutton. Arcitc Air co-star Emilie Ullerup was there with her husband actor Kyle Cassie, the pair have a film coming out soon "Death Do Us Part" that also features Peter & Julia Benson as well. Eric Winter took time from his work on "Witches Of East End" to come by & promote his new show. Terry Chen of "Continuum" was spotted as well with Eliza Smith. Some people were there simply to promote their talent. The Carrie Wheeler Entertainment Agency took to the carpet with their young star in the making Lilah Fitzgerald ( "Seventh Son", "Supernatural", and recently completed filming "Every Thing Will Be Fine" with James Franco & Rachel McAdams) there. Carrie escorted Lilah on the carpet with writer/director Jaman Lloyd who recently wrote/directed "Cheat".
"Elysium" star Josh Blacker, Local acting legend Jackson Davies, former "X-Files" & most recently "Continuum" & "The Killing" star Nicholas Lea were all there. "Rookie Blue" guest star Aliyah O'Brien was there with other clients of Premiere Talent Management, Madi Ross, Dejan Loyola & Laine MacNeil, . Ona Grauer from "Stargate Universe" & "Archer" also was spotted on the red carpet. Terry Chen from "Continuum" & the new CW show "The 100" was also there with musician Eliza Smith Performers Management had a couple of their stars there as well "Republic Of Doyle" recurring guest star Steve Bacic was there. Young up & comer Logan Williams was there as well to promote his upcoming roles in the movie "The Colour Of Rain" & "When Calls The Heart" Many others also were in attendance, but it was hard to catch everyone as they arrived. Some people I photographed, but failed to catch what they were there promoting, so if you see a photo of yourself, or someone you know unlabeled, please let me know & I can revise it. Others were there who I saw & interacted with, but didn't catch on the red carpet for a photo op. Crystal Lowe "Primeval: New World" was there to promote her new Hallmark Channel pilot "Signed Sealed Delivered" Gil Bellows was there to promote "Three Days In Havana" Andrea Brooks (most recently seen on Supernatural) also was in attendance. PHOTO USE - Feel free to post any photos from here with the watermark tag, and credit to this site wherever you want. If you are in any of these photos, or represent anyone in them and would like them untagged for any official websites, or fan pages, feel free to contact us thru the contact page on the left side, let me know & I will try to get that done for you. VIFF is running right now at theatres around Vancouver till October 11, 2013. THIS BLOG POST CONTAINS NOTABLE SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 8009 OF "PSYCH" TENTATIVELY TITLED "SHAWN & GUS TRUCK THINGS UP". If you do not want to know any spoilers to this episode.... DO NOT CONTINUE READING THIS ARTIVLE OR VIEWING THE PHOTOS! . . . last warning . . The 2nd day I was on set for the Food Truck episode. A lot happened. First, before I got there, my friend texted me & told me "Marla is on set". I instantly deciphered it as "Marlowe" & was hastily getting out there as fast as I could since I needed Kristy on some photos I had with me since the time that I literally missed her by seconds at River Rock Casino during the shooting of Marlowe & Lassies wedding episode. Sure enough, Kristy Swanson was there. Along with all the guys. James Roday, Timothy Omundson, Dule Hill, Corbin Bernsen were all on set and later in the day Sage Brocklebank aka - Buzz McNab aka Morning Wood aka Magic Mike came in for some scenes. So right to the big news.... unless you skipped to the photos 1st, in that case, this isn't such a breaking piece of news..... so, as you can tell from the photos below, there is a little Lassie coming soon....realllllly SOON. This time, it isn't in the shape of an adorable beagle. First scene I saw had Marlowe show up at the food truck court looking for a snack. She tells Shawn & Gus not to tell Lassie shes there, as he hates food trucks. They let her go into their truck & shortly after Henry arrives & the boys get into a conversation with them when Lassie shows up & Shawn & Gus go to cut him off & have a conversation with Lassie. There was a scene that had Shawn, Gus, Henry, Lassie & Marlowe all inside a food truck as Marlowe seemingly went into labour. The conversation that you could hear between Lassie & almost everyone was quite entertaining. I couldn't see that scene since it was entirely inside the truck, but I heard lots of it. It sounds great. Then came a scene where Shawn tries to get the food truck out of its very confined space to rush to the hospital. Imagine the Austin Powers shuttle cart scene, but slightly less over the top. After that Kristy wrapped her day. So had Corbin. There was then scenes with Gus, Shawn, Lassie & McNab that included a prop toy baby. At first I thought this was supposed to be in place of a real baby, but realized after a few takes, nope, it was actually supposed to be a toy baby...which is good, when you see how it gets treated by father to be Carlton Lassiter. Obviously, I only got to see a small portion of the episode, but I was laughing a lot at the takes I saw over the two days. You can see more of my pics from this episode HERE You can see my past Psych set photos HERE This was the last Psych set I ever got to photograph or see. I do have a couple more sets to post eventually from another episode, with an even larger spoiler than this bombshell set. Day 7 was quite slow. The best moment of day 7 was the 1st celeb encounter. Dexter star Michael C. Hall arrived for a flight that he apparently wasnt booked on. Despite the situation that for most of us, would be infuriating I'm sure, he took a minute to come over to the dozen or so professionals & fans waiting for him & signed 1 autograph per person & took photos with before him & his girlfriend went to their flight. Next up was several hours later. Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe. After being borderline classless earlier this fest, his bodyguard talked to him inside his vehicle & agreed to take 1 item from the mere 3 of us inside the vehicle to get signed. After that was done, his guard & him drove away to the other end of the airport & speed walked through at such a fast pace that even though I knew where he was going, I never managed to get infront of him to get a photo. A couple blurry distant shots from behind that I took was all anyone got of him, as the only pap there didnt even figure out where he went, and was still looking for him after I told him he was long gone. I then headed back downtown for 2 premires. The 1st premiere I got to late because of 1 of the famous TTC trips from hell (how the fuck does a city this size have such a fucked up, inadequate & incomplete system?), so I quickly focused om the 2nd premiere. I got to Isabelle Bader theatre with plenty of time. With the threat of thunder showers that evening, the dozen or so of us waiting there nervously watched lightning get closer & closer as we waited for each TIFF vehicle showing up at the "Stay" premiere in hopes it was 1 of the people for the premiere, so we could get them before the rains started. Michael Ironside showed up from somewhere not expected & passed by the crowd before someone spotted him & called out to him. He declined to acknowledge the person calling him as he walked straight into the theatre. Eventually the films star "Orange Is The New Black" star Taylor Schilling arrived & signed for everyone, just as the 1st little bit of rain started. I realized it was about to pour, and got out of there as fast as I could & headed home. Day 7 - 4 autographs - 90 total A Taylor Schilling B Michael C. Hall B- Daniel Radcliffe F Michael Ironside Day 8 was my last of TIFF 2013 Like the day prior, it was a slow one. However, I didnt expect it to be so slow. A lot of no-shows on the final day of my festival put a gloomy end to a fairly productive TIFF. I headed to the Elgin Theatre in hopes of getting Ed Harris at his premiere for "The Face Of Love", but the only person to show was Annette Bening. I helped my buddy get a photo signed from her. She signed some, but didnt spend a lot of time with the unusually large crowd for a day 8 premiere with no A listers. After that, I went to a hotel for awhile & got Will Sasso there before he headed off to his premiere. Not long after Catherine O'Hara came out, telling fans (there was 2, maybe 3) she couldnt meet them (note - they are literally standing 6 feet away from the door) because she was "in a hurry", despite the group telling her she wont be going anywhere right away because of the traffic in the drive way, then promptly sat in her vehicle for 5+ minutes doing absolutely nothing & then at the end, finding time to chat to someone she knew for another 3+ minutes. Yep, definitely in a rush she was. Eventually the people for the Pierce Brosnan film "Love Punch" left in a large posse of vehicles all at once for their pre-premiere dinner. My friend found them & told me where it was. I showed up just moments before Emma Thompson came out. I had nothing with me, so I stood by watching her sign. Then Pierce Brosnan came out. He was classy & smooth. Just like you would expect from james Bond. He signed everything asked of him before he headed off to his premiere. At their premiere, I attempted to THEN get Emma Thompson for a friend who left me photos when he had to leave to catch his flight. But the star spent so much time interacting with each fan she signed for, that most people went away without anything from her. The few people she did interact with though, surely had great things to say as she did take plenty of time with each of them. Pierce would end up being my last autographs of the Fest, as I did not go back on Day 10 for Jennifer Aniston. Day 8 - 5 autographs. 95 Total (2 short of my record)
