A few weeks ago, Felicia Day returned to Vancouver to reprise her role as Charlie on Supernatural.

The episode "LARP And The Real Girl" episode 811 is believed to deal with some of the live action role playing that Ms. Bradbury's character would certaily seem confortable around.

The set was out in Mundy Park in Coquitlam for a few days, and I went out there 1 day to take a look around & found out soon...the crew were not welcoming of people being near the set.

A couple days before I went there, a pap from here was actually threatened, attacked & assaulted by the crew for being in a PUBLIC PARK. So I was pretty cautious of where I went & when. As it turned out, I too was chased for awhile thru the woods by a crew member, and while I was capable of keeping out of his line of sight for the mostpart, the truth is, I never got really too close to the actual set either.

A few off in the distance pics of their tents, trailers and some props that I imagine were going to be used later, or had already been used, was all I was able to get on the hour or 2 I ventured around parts of the 176 hectares of thick forrest, sporting fields & walking trails that make up Mundy Park.

The weather was an intense, non-stop pouring rain that drenched me to the bone within 1/2 hr of being there, and that, more than the roaming wannabe hunter that was trying to track me, discouraged me from staying longer.

Below is some pics of the set from a distance, as well, a few of the cast in outfits going to the set early in the morning. Frankly, I was too far away to be sure who, if anyone, was who. I thought the guy in the hoodie was Jensen Ackles, but then decided I was probably wrong when I saw he was wearing glasses....but turns out, it was. I did get pics of 2 different red heads, perhaps 1 of them was Felicia...but really, I wasnt so sure... If anyone can ID any of the people shot, feel free to let me know & I will properly tag them.

EDIT- I have had confirmation (as you can see in the comments below)_ that both Jensen Ackles AND Felicia Day are in these photos.

Let me start off by saying, my favorite emails I get are delusional hate mails. They truly are fun to read.... Sooo, before I get onto last nights adventure, I thought I would share 1 of these nuggets of wisdom, and my very professional & personable reply to them.

So, last night the cast of Supernatural returned from their Chicago fan convention.

AS EXPECTED (except by the crazies who think the world is a conspiracy theory)all the stars coming to Vancouver came in together. Jared Padalecki (with his wife Genevieve, and son Thomas), Jensen Ackles, with their bodyguard "Clig?" & Misha Collins.

After my encounter, as I usually do, I tweeted about my success & failures. Had a couple questions about it, tred to answer as many as I could before bed. Then woke up & read my "fan mail"

Usually, an email like that would get a snarky reply from me, and no follow up "proof", because I believe in not negotiating with terrorists. They want the pics, so they try to bully them out of you with "pics or it didnt happen" philosophy. A couple times over the years I have posted photos because of such whining, but 90% of the time, I usually let the nutjobs debate my "lies" in their tinfoil hat clubs.

This particular email woulda got the same enthusiastic level of "go fuck yourself, I dont care what you believe", but I did have several people on twitter & email say "I dont care how grainy they are...please, can I see them".  So I uploaded them into my computer & looked to see if anything was salvagable, and was mildly suprised to see that while still shitty, they werent horrendously impossible to identify the persons in them shitty. So I decided, I'll add them.

Now, lots of confusion on several facts that were asked via twitter, and this charming chap or lass above that I'll possibly explain in the actual blog part of this post.

I got to the airport and ran into another autograph hound, who much to my chagrin didnt even have anything for the SPN guys except for Jensen. Wish I had known that sooner, he coulda helped me with my plethora of Jared photos I still have to get done.

Once the flight landed, Jensen came out about 11:55'ish (give or take a couple mins) and was being escorted by their bodyguard. As I saw them approach I realized their driver was going to meet them at the door. The door only opens from the inside, with Clif there, it was no shock, but they let their driver inside & went thru the out door that was right there. I now had a 150-200 ft speed walk around the side to get outside & hurry down towards where the vehicles were waiting. As you can see by my pics, never got really too close. Knowing Jared still had to come, I snapped a couple quick pics, hoped maybe I got something & knowing damn well I probably didnt, and headed back inside.

About 10 or so minutes later, Jared popped up on the screen, with Gen a Porter and a bunch of luggage. Gen had Thomas in 1 of those carry them on the front of you things mothers use, while Jared walked along with her & the porter. As they came around the corner, I snapped a couple pics of them as I knew by the time they got to the door, I might have to run outside. So I didnt even wait to see if they went thru the inside or went right outside, I headed straight outside. Sure enough, thats what happened as well. I made the beeline outside knowing they will be slower with the porter pushing all the stuff & Gen carrying Thomas & I might actually have a chance to get up to them. I made it out there in plenty of time this time. As I waited for them to get to the vehicle, I displayed my photos to Jared & asked if he can sign (contractually, hes not allowed to till Midnight) and was all ready to tell him "but its after midnight" when he took a quick look at his watch and then replied "sure" and proceeded to sign. He then said he hadnt seen me in a while, I told him I was out of town for awhile, he asked where, I told him Toronto, he said "oh, I was just there last month" which of course I knew.

While the driver & porter were loading the vehicle, I broached the question to Jared "can Gen sign right now, or is it a bad ti..." "yeah sure" then he called Gen over, and she signed, while Thomas sat in the contraption I dont know the name of. I said hi to Thomas, and he didnt even say hi back, how rude eh?

Jared & I talked for a few more seconds, I asked him about getting a photo of him & Gen together. He thought for a second about it & replied "maybe another time, when shes not with thomas" & I knew he was basically saying "haha, no.. I know what your trying to do", but he was quite cordial & professional in declining it I thought. I then let them go on their way.

When I got back inside the other autograph hound told me "Mishas over there" & although I had nothing for him, I went to say hi. He was busy trying to figure out where his driver was. Seems his driver wasnt as familiar with what he looks like as he shoulda been. In the drivers defense, Misha was wearing a touque, so he probably did look a bit different. I told Misha, I think that was his driver (with his face almost pressed up against the glass he was so close) looking longingly into the arrival area for his client. He started walking over, and the manager/head driver of the co. was just coming back in from escorting Jared out (I thought he drove him, but appears not), and I told Misha "ask him" & sure enough he summoned the driver against the glass to come over, and Misha was eventually on his way too.

Because these photos are, to be honest, some of the worst ones I've taken, I didnt even tag them. IF you repost them anywhere, please include a link to the source. If people can play by these rules, I'll try to be less intrusive with the tags I put on the better photos in the future.

Some people simply want to see "something", so I am posting a few more of the "you sorta can tell whats going on" batch.

This was a rare night for filming. All 3 of the shows stars were on set together, and the crew did NOTHING to prevent fans from taking photos. That simply NEVER happens on the SPN set. The only "dont do that" they asked was no flash photography (a staple of ANY film set), and most everyone obliged.

The cool moment of the night was when Misha Collins came over on a break & chatted with the fans for about 2-4 minutes. The fans congratulated him on his 2nd child, and 1 couple told him how they named their cat after his character "Catstiel". Wouldnt you know it, probably 1st time ever, I had NOTHING on me to get signed either.

I do have video from a take of Jared & Misha doing a scene where they jump into the back of a camper van together (I can see you are already letting your minds wander to a bad place). Its not terribly long, and its pretty dark, but you can clearly tell who it is in the scene. Now, question is.... anyone want to see it? I basically would need to upload it in the next 2 days, as my Pro acct for this site expires then, and I wont be able to host videos directly on here & would have to upload them to youtube, then link the youtube video to here blah blah blah... and frankly thats not something I am a fan of doing. Sooo, if this blog, as crappy as it is, gets to 1000 views before my subscription expires, I'll post it.

Yesterday I decided to go check out the Supernatural set over on Richards St. Oddly enough, I had found the info of them filming there while looking for them the day prior. It is pretty rare finding this show downtown twice in a month, let alone 2 days in a row.

My 1st attempt to scope out the set was fruitless as they were filming at the top of a building & I never found a spot that gave me a chance to see what was going on up there.

So, notable spoiler in this thread...... it appears Castiel eventually gets out of purgatory sometime this season & re-unites with the Winchesters.... of course, scenes can sometimes be deceptive in what they tell. Buuut, anyways...last night...

I came back around 7:30-8PM for the evening shoot that was going to be on the street. Just as I got there, I caught the last take of a scene that had Jensen & Jared (and apparently Misha, but I didnt see him) where they get out of the Impala. Right after that, the boys took off with their driver. I expected they would be back, but with no guarantees, I started asking the fans what I had missed. Thats when I was told of Misha being around as well.

Sure enough a little while later, the boys would return to the set (honestly, why bother leaving? They get to spend like 10 mins in their trailer... is that really worth it??). This time the Impala was now on the other side of the st. The scene had the trio get out of the car & hard down to a crime scene. They boys flash their very legitimate I'm sure police/FBI/etc badges to a cop & walk in under crime tape.

After that, they did a scene where the 3 of them come out of the Impala again, walk to the end of the alley, and split up. Jared & Misha go 1 way, as Jensen goes the other.

A solo scene of Jensen was shot where his character Dean Winchester was putting his hand thru a hole that I assume is supposed to be mysterious in some way as it was in the side of a brick building.

After that, a scene with Jared & Misha as Sam & Castiel did a scene where they walked up the street and decided to check out a red camper van & just go right in.

If there was any scenes after that, I dont know. I left there The lighting, as with ANY SPN set was terrible, so although I took like 400+ photos last night, really there was maybe 70-90 that I didnt think entirely suck. I added a couple of the grainier shots & blurrier ones in the set just so you see what we had to deal with. All it took was the slightest movement by them or me, and the photos were ruined.

As with ALL my posts. Do not re-post them to your site, tumblr, facebook, livejournal etc without proper credits. Do not post with tags removed. If found, they will be removed & your site provider may take more actions against you as some of you on tumblr recall from last year.

Last month I had a couple short run ins with the Supernatural set that I didnt feel entailed enough for a single blog...so I save dthem up & decided to post them all at once.

1st up.. I give you, a few shots of THE IMPALA!
Baby was back on set in July, and after a VERY aggressive campaign by 1 crew member to prevent people from photographing it (before being told...its ok, dont worry about it, by another crew member) I later found it parked on a side street, abandoned. While there was crew in the general area, fact is, none of them were within the immediate area of the car, and no one would have noticed if I had just opened the door & sat inside. Of course, I managed to resist the urge to do so, but took several close up phots of the inside. Seems on this particular day, 1 of the crew was keeping their cleaning supplies in the passenger side floor area.

After taking those photos, I went around back of the building they were at, and just missed Jared leaving, but managed to catch a couple quick side frames of Jensen Ackles leaving.

Two weeks to the day later, I caught the boys on set at the Greyhound station in Vancouver. Again, not a lot to see, only snapped a couple frames of Jared & Jensen arriving on set.

A few days later, after an uninspiring set in downtown that I deemed not worth checking out as it was all interiors I had my 1st ever random run in with 1 of the boys out at dinner.

I was on the bus headed to another TV show set, when I passed by a parking lot & saw (the bodyguard) Clifs truck. I cut my trip short & decided to get out & see if maybe it was because they were filming near there (they were supposed to be at the same spot...but film crews will often film at more than 1 spot in an area). I saw no immediate sign & went up a block, nothing, went back down, looked around the truck, noticed Clif wasnt in it, then went over to the next street to check out, and as I was doing that, a valet passed by me (the lot is used to park a cars for a local eatery there often). Once I got out to the other street, I saw nothing immediately, then just as I was about to head up the street I saw the unmistakable frame of Clif leaving a high end steak house, shortly behind him was Jared. The vehicle pulled up moments later as the valet I saw passing me was actually going to get the vehicle & shortly after that, they were on their way, apparently to the airport, as the next day Jared was spottied in NYC for New Jersey Con weekend.

I had several people ask me if Jensen was at dinner with him. Although I cant know 100% obviously, I am pretty confident the answer is no. He wasnt seen there, and unless he sat around, on a night he was working, finishing his meal after they left, he definitely wasnt with them when they left.

Anyways, here is the pics from the last few encounters....and now I'm up to date on my SPN pics.

Waaaay back in early/mid July, there was this event that a few people might have heard about. Comic-Con? Yeah I know, these little out of the blue events are forgotten about so easily.

Anyways, this particular event happened to have several guests from the Vancouver filming industry at it. Including the cast of Supernatural.

Sure enough, I went out super early on a Saturday morning hoping to catch 1 or more stars from the show leaving.

As the early morning went on I found myself having to take far too many trips to the washroom. With no back up there to cover off anyone leaving while I was incapacitated, I had that sinking pit in the stomach feeling I might miss them.

As the suggested cut off time for passangers came & went, I was convinced "I must of missed them". I was on the phone to a buddy going over possible scenarios when I hastily said to him "gotta go, Jared". Sure enough out of the towncar that they are supplied with for this event, Jared Padalecki strolled out. It had been quite awhile since I had gotten Jared to sign, since last season he was no longer flying out of Vancouver as the birth of his 1st son, Thomas got closer.

Jared was in good spirits for someone at the airport before some Starbucks locations were even open. he happily signed 3 items for me, we chatted about the off season, filming & of course his favorite topic, Thomas. I asked him if Gen & Thomas were up here yet, which he replied "no, they come in next week" & I told him to tell her congrats from us (even though I know its not like hes going to phone her up & say "hey the autograph hounds from Vancouver said to pass along congrats to you"...its still the thing you say). He then said "will do brother" and told me eactly how long its been since he had seen his newborn son last & that he doesnt want to miss anymore big moments. I asked where jensen was, he said "he has directing stuff to do" which was because Mr. Ackles was currently directing the episode they were filming at that time. He then was on his way.
 
The next potential flight I had Jensen possibly going on was about 2 hrs later, so I grabbed a snack & hung out for awhile. Eventually, another autograph hound showed up. His hope was to get Jared as well, and when I told him he was gone already he was of course, a bit disappointed. As time went on, just like Jared, it was getting into "cutting it close" time & I was actually thinking "hes not leaving on this flight". Sure enough, like Jared, showed up later than expected, took both of us off guard. Since Jensen is 1 of those "I dont stand in lines" types, he was thru & on his way to the check in area pretty quick, meaning my buddy & I actually had to hurry down to the last spot to get people before they are off limits to get him. As he got there, he hastily said "I only have time for 1 each" and then signed & hastily went thru.

Upon returning, we somehow, with 8 or 10 people at the airport, never saw Jensen Ackles return. If it werent for him being spotted on set the next day I would have assumed he didnt return that night. Jared however, did come thru & was terrific. He stopped, signed for the large crowd till no one had stuff left. He again, chatted at length about his son when the subject was brought up.

As I left, I had a short chat with him. With so many of the celebs I have met, I try to post links to the charities of their choices & make donations based on their sales. So I asked Jared, what charity he is involved with, and he told me. Of course, my ADHD brain seemingly forgot this in just a few months, since it was info he tweeted about often during Gens pregnancy with Thomas. The charity he stated "St. Judes Childrens Research Hopsital" (OFFICIAL WEBSITE of the hospital http://www.stjude.org/ ). This past weekend, I spent many an hour trying to prevent boredom at our airport as I caught guests of the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con leaving & returning for their promotional works down there.

Occasionally when I have that much time, you pick up the occasional fluke sighting. Sunday afternnon I had such a sighting. I noticed Supernatural bodyguard & general thorn in my side Clif at the airport. with the boys likely not even on a plane yet in SD I was unsure why he was there. My 1st instinct was maybe Genevieve Padalecki & Jared's new son Thomas were coming in, since Jared had told me recently they are coming in "next week" (depending who you ask, a week COULD start on a Sunday to some people?).

Eventually his party arrived, it was none other than Alan Ackles & his wife Donna. If the last name looks familiar to you, yes, you are right, he is related to Jensen.

The father & mother of the Supernatural star came into Vancouver so that Alan, an actor himself, mainly known for voice over work & a few spots on the old & new Dallas as well as Walker, Texas Ranger, could do a small role in the episode Jensen is directing. I have been told by someone he IS NOT here to do the role of "Benny" as some blogs have suggested. Just a short 2 or 3 line dialogue scene in Jensen's directed episode.
