A few days after my first encounter with the Supernatural cast & crew in New Westminster, I found them in the Mt. Pleasant area of Vancouver shooting scenes for possibly the same episode, or the one right after it.

This time however, both brothers were accounted for. Jared Padalecki was on set with his on screen brother Jensen Ackles for a little Winchester brothers family therapy session maybe. The pair shot scenes outside a house that was doubling as a "family therapy" office. While I am sure every SPN fan can unanimously agree they probably could use some family therapy, I suspect the two were there to solve some supernatural event instead...... and maybe get some therapy.

There was little to see during the daytime scenes while I was there (I apparently in the 45 mins I was gone did miss 1 exterior scene of them). The only thing there was to see of them was them out on the porch standing and waiting to film scenes where they walked into the house with 1 other, younger actor.

Eventually they finished that scene, and Jensen left for the night while Jared filmed a scene where he drives down the street in a convertible Mercedes. After he shot his final take, he walked over to the fans, to tell then he was sorry he couldnt spend more time interacting with them, but that 1 of his dogs had passed away earlier in the day and he was rushing off to deal with that.

Supernatural returns to The CW October 12, 2017

Supernatural filmed scenes for season 13 episode 3 back in August. I caught up with them one day in New Westminster.

In a pretty rare occurrence by my experiences, I found them shooting a scene with only ONE of the Winchester Boys on set. Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester was shooting scenes with frequent recurring actress Kim Rhodes as sheriff Jody Mills where the pair were in Deans impala and stopping at a gas n sip to refuel Baby & probably themselves. At the end of their shoot at that location Mr. Ackles decided to take Kim on a several block joyride in the car, as he peeled out of the set & drove off, around a couple blocks in Sapperton, before returning to the next location with the car, across the street at Caps Bicycles.

At the location across the street, Dean & Jody were joined by a recurring character from waaaaaay back in season 1. Loretta Devine returns 12 seasons later to resume her role as Missouri Mosely, a psychic that we meet back in episode 9 of the shows existence. The scene sees Dean walk up, run into Jody and Missouri outside a psychics business in Omaha. He chats to both of them, and shares hugs with them before going back to talking with them.

Eventually, that scene wrapped, along with Kim and Jensen, and the production moved inside the psychic office to film more scenes with just Loretta.

Since I had just a plethora of Jensen pics, I added an extra gallery of JUST him at the bottom..... remember when re-posting them on social media, you should credit back to this post & to limit to 4-6 photos TOTAL (not per individual social media post) & let your followers know if they want to see the rest...they can come here... after all it IS FREE.

Back in September I stumbled across 2 sets for Supernatural filming. While my timing at the 1st set where Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles were both filming was bad (missed them filming outside two different times.).
I did see them show up to their 2nd location, and managed a few pics of Jared going in (Jensen was 1st, so I didn't have time to react to him going in).

Included is a couple pics of the buildings that they renamed, including the coincidentally enough named Lucille's Diner, which is funny considering the pics/convo Jensen had this week with a certain star of a series featuring his former TV dad.

the pair exchanged a couple more jabs at each other publicly after that. 

Since there was so few photos from this location, I added a couple pics from past encounters with Misha Collins and Jensen to fill out the set a bit more, hope you enjoy.

Supernatural season 11 had a couple days of shooting in downtown Vancouver for its 1st episode (the 3rd episode of the season) to shoot this season.

With the shows star Jensen Ackles again directing an episode, the 3rd episode of the season was being shot prior to the 1st one to give the director & shows star enough time to do his job on it as he juggles to jobs. Donning a fairly un-Dean Winchester like Hawaiian shirt and beach hat, I assumed what I was looking at was "Director Jensen" and not him in "Dean Winchester" attire..... turns out, I was mistaken. When I saw his stunt double also wearing the same garb later, I realized.... Deans traded in the jackets & fed suits for some beach wear. When I tweeted a photo of it that day, a few fans replied with the "sand between our toes" line that Dean says last season to Sam. Perhaps Dean got to experience that.... guess we'll have to wait to see.

On this particular day, a few cast members were seen (some in unofficial capacities). Season 10 troublemaker Rowena, played by Ruth Connell was back, but with a little wardrobe change for the day..... as she was sporting blonde hair.

Crowleys mom appeared to be doing 2 scenes there, 1 with each of the Winchesters. Firstly with Dean (either Jensen or his stunt double, our angle never quite gave us a good look) where she seems to point her finger at him and he goes flying. A bit later, a scene with Sam as Jared Padalecki roughly drags Ruth as Rowena away by her arm.

A lot of the time on this shoot it was hard to tell when they might have been rolling and when they may have been in between takes. Other times however, they were clearly on a break. During 1 of their breaks, former Supernatural guest star Mitch Pileggi stopped by with his family and introduce his kids to Jensen & Jared. The trio chatted for awhile while they re-set the scene. Funny enough, I was unaware I had even seen him till well after the fact when I was going through my pics & saw him in some of them.

Eventually Jared wrapped and left. Shortly after Ruth left. Lastly Jensen left, as he not only wrapped that location but had to head to the next spot where the crew was already preparing the next scene.

After this shoot, the crew packed up & moved to another location a few blocks away for an interior shoot that had another random former guest star sighting, and a night shoot in an alley that I will have more on in another post.

Supernatural returns tonight with its season 10 premiere.

This season we will hopefully find out what has/will happen with Dean Winchester after Crowley awoke the sleeping hunter at the end of season 9 to the shock of fans, to reveal the fact he is now a demon. 

The "Deanmon" story line I suspect will play out for awhile, after all it is a show that is not shy about beating a tired story to death long after its best before date. But HEY, maybe the writers will shock me for once and wrap this up well before the mid-season mark (HA!).

One thing IS certain about season 10... they have not been seen around much for filming. I have only come across the sets for the show twice this season. Once waaaayyy out in Surrey (a place I try to avoid...but to prove a point to a few psycho nutjobs... I went out there) and barely saw anything out there the day I was there. I managed 1 "ok" pic of Jensen and Jared there.

A few weeks later, after I returned from a trip I ran into their set only blocks from my house, in daylight. What a rare treat.

They were filming scenes for what I suspect was episode 7 (COULD be 6 or 8.. I never did find out which # it was for certain) with Jensen Ackles in an alley, gun drawn on a man that I was later told was Travis Aaron Wade who is playing a character named Cole, a hunter that is hunting Dean now that hes a demon.

Here are the pics I managed. Early on in their shoot we were allowed reasonably close to the set for a couple takes (at least close enough I was able to tell with my naked eye that Jensen was there) but were soon moved because we were "in the shot" to another entire block away. While they were technically right about it, where we moved to would also technically be "in shot" and the several people who were NOT extras just hanging out in the park that was in the background werent asked to move... just us watching.

Oh well, minor inconvenience. Still managed a few, less awesome shots of the scene still even from there. I also added 1 pic of Jensen and Jared Padalecki from the shoot in August.

Supernatural returns TONIGHT October 7, 2014 on The CW, it will follow another Vancouver shot series we cover "The Flash". You can see some pics of that show HERE if you want to see what thats going to be about.
