All other rules still apply. Now that parts 1 through 3 of the massive Crisis On Infinite Earths cross over has been aired. It is time to post a bunch more photos from the sets I visited. You can of course still find the original sets in the links posted throughout this mega-post, or at the bottom of the page, along with all the sets from the episodes not yet aired. I am going to post these sets in the order you may have seen them in on your screen during Crisis. So first up, the moment when Audrey Marie Anderson as Lyla Michaels aka Harbinger recruits Grant Gustin as Barry Allen aka The Flash. The link to this scene, and more from this days shoot will be further down, as it was part 2 of that days shoot. The second part is the scene where Harbinger goes to Gotham City to recruit Ruby Rose as Kate Kane aka Batwoman. This blog post also contains a few shots of Burt Ward on set for his cameo. AS WELL, it contains a spoiler for the Legends episode in the write up in the blog post. SO be warned now. If you choose to read it & dont just look at the photos. No spoilers in the photos. You can find that post HERE There was a scene shot in David Lam Park with several Supergirl cast on set doing the scene where we see people getting escorted to the large alien ships to leave Earth 38. In the scene was Nicole Maines as Nia Nal aka Dreamer, Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers as Azie Tesfai as Kelly Olsen. You can see more photos from this scene (as well as the Flash & Harbinger scene above) in this post HERE There was then the scenes from the Supergirl episode where we see several of the heroes scattered around a couple places at an area called Plaza Of Nations. First up is a set of photos from the shoot they did right in the middle of the Plaza Of Nations. To be honest, I expected this scene to be like 10-20 seconds longer when it appeared, considering this took up more than half a day of their filming. There was also some shots of them filming on top of 1 buildings there that I shot first at this location, but I am posting these in chronological order of the episode airing them, soooo.. For this shoot they had The Flash & Batwoman, along with Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen aka The Green Arrow, Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer aka ATOM, Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers aka Supergirl, Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent aka Superman, Katherine McNamara as Mia Smoak aka Blackstar. They were shooting a scene where the group is there, and are splitting up, as Flash, Supergirl & Superman leave, while Batwoman, Green Arrow, ATOM & Blackstar head into that building that we saw the battle with the Shadow Demons happen. The rooftop scenes were the first thing I saw filmed at this location, but as we know, they were the last thing shown for location scenes in the episode, as this is where the big fight with the Shadow Demons. The scene where Oliver Queen is mortally wounded. On location for that shoot they had The Flash, Batwoman, The Green Arrow, ATOM, Supergirl, Superman, Blackstar, and LaMonica Garrett as Mar Novu aka The Monitor (although I never got any photos of him up there). You can see the other photos from this set HERE Lastly, a short set from the 3rd episode for The Flash. On this day I saw 3 people on set there, John Wesley Shipp was there, but I only got 1 photo ofhim that day, which you can see in my prior set. I also got some photos of Tom Cavanagh on set, but since those were for one of the episodes that has yet to air (warning, if you go to that blog post... you WILL see a photo of him in there thats a spoiler), I did not include any of those here. But finally, I did see Ashley Scott as The Huntress on set that day for her short caemo appearance. You can find that blog post HERE Want more Arrowverse materials not related to Crisis?

UPDATE: October 29, 2019 - Video of both sets added at the bottom of the post. The massive 5 episode, 6 TV show Arrowverse cross over Crisis On Infinite Earths has begun filming in Vancouver. My day started off heading out to Surrey for a shoot I had just heard about the night before. I rarely go out to Surrey, so this was a bit of a learning experience unfortunately. The night before I had been told it was for Supergirl. Yet when I got there, I found no sign it was for them. So I am unsure for which episode it was for, as it was not there too long. The weather Monday was dreadful. Continual rain ranging anywhere from light rain to downpours. Not till the late afternoon was there any points where it was moderately dry for any periods, and they were sparse. When I first showed up there, not knowing the area, I saw a large building and thought that was where I needed to go, as the only things I knew about the area it was filming is there was a new hotel and a courtyard, and it looked like that was what was there..... turns out I was very very wrong. After a 40 minute walk that included me slipping and falling on a flat surface, I found them.... RIGHT UNDERNEATH WHERE THE TRAIN LET ME OUT. If I had simply turned left instead of right when coming out, or had paid attention when coming into the station I would have noticed the modestly small film unit just beside the station. Once I got there, a lot of nothing was going on for a while. When they finally did seem to start, I had gone for a walk to check out something, and came back to see them ready to shoot a scene. Unsure exactly where the scene was talking place in the area they had set up around, I looked into the middle of the large maze of lights & skrims they had set up to give them any light they could on the dreary overcast day. I finally saw a scene shot, and it was Stephen Amell dressed as the Green Arrow doing a scene where he seems to walk towards the middle of the courtyard from the library that was there. The angle I had for that was not good, so I went looking for a different one, and eventually found one..... just in time for them to have wrapped the 2 or 3 takes they did of that very short scene. Damn. A bit later, they were doing a different portion of the scene, and again, I wasnt sure exactly where they were shooting till near the end. I kept seeing background people running, but no actors around. my problem was I was looking near where Stephen had been earlier and where the background people were now running from thinking it was going to be more or less near there, but it wasnt. They had moved the primary part of it down to where I THOUGHT they were shooting at the start of the day, near the maze of lights and skrims. By the time I found a position for it, I instantly saw the scene had Grant Gustin as The Flash zipping in and having a talk with the Green Arrow. Unfortunately Stephen was off screen, so he wasnt in full GA gear by then. They did that scene for a bit, then wrapped. That was it. They probably did less actual filming time there than I did in transportation there. I am not sure if I missed any earlier parts, but there was two Central City Cabs parked at the set, but were never used during the time I was there. Perhaps they squeezed in a quick scene in the early part of the morning before I got there..... maybe I missed it on 45 minute tour of Surrey? While I was there, I got a DM on twitter telling me of a set downtown that unfortunately I was nowhere near, and worse yet, I FELT might happen... but I had my eyes too focused on this set out of town So I made the long trek back. After finally getting back to downtown Vancouver, I got a ride from 1 of my buddies over to the location for the Legends Of Tomorrow shoot. It was a massive huge battle scene. I will have more on that in a later blog post, as it was a scene that went on for multiple days. But this post will focus on a couple late afternoon & evening scenes they did. There was first a scene that had Caity Lotz as Sara Lance doing a scene where she is walking out of an alley. She at times seemed to be holding her head and maybe disoriented from something. She walks out into the middle of a street before 1 car comes to a screeching halt right near her, and another does the same before zipping around her & the stopped car. They also had a Star City Cab there, which they quite literally used for only 1 take of this scene. Quite random. After that scene wrapped, I stumbled upon the crew setting up for a different scene just 200 feet up the street that was NOT known by anyone. Unfortunately I was exhausted & the rain had not let up still, so I only waited for a little while. The only think I do know about the scene is Audrey Marie Anderson was in the scene. But unfortunately I didnt have my camera ready when she showed up. Want more Arrowverse materials not related to Crisis? SPECIAL BONUS FOR YOUTUBE CONTENT CREATORS WITH OVER 10 MINUTE VIDEOS FOR THIS POST ONLY! - I will allow 8 (Eight) photos this time, instead of the usual 6, because of the multiple scenes to cover. All other rules still apply. The massive 5 episode, 6 TV show Arrowverse cross over Crisis On Infinite Earths has begun filming in Vancouver. On this 2 day shoot, Supergirl was shooting a variety of scenes in downtown Vancouver, at a location that has been frequently used by Arrow over the years. On set for day 1 - Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen/ The Green Arrow - Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/ The Flash - Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers/ Supergirl - Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent/ Superman - Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer / The ATOM - Ruby Rose as Kate Kane/ Batwoman - Katherine McNamara as Mia Smoak - LaMonica Garrett as either The Monitor or Anti-Monitor. Much of the filming was up on the roof of 1 of the buildings at the Plaza Of Nations. This is a roof top that Arrow has used so many times, I've lost count. (Including the season 8 premiere, which was on the same night these scenes were being filmed). It was new however to see it in use during the daytime. Throughout the morning & early afternoon the cast, and the stunt doubles did a variety of large explosion type scenes. For a while I walked around trying to find a decent spot to film, but as you can see from the photos below, rarely was I able to find a spot where I could even see much more than the top of their heads most of the time. As the day pushed on, I moved from trying to find a place to shoot to the actual part of my job that justifies me doing any of this, getting autographs. So I stood near the exit and watched as cast member after cast member left through the afternoon. One I saw leave that I never saw up on the roof was LaMonica Garrett. He was decked out with his Monitor hair do (now that I've seen a photo of the Anti-Monitor, its easy to know which is which). As I waited around there, I got Brandon Routh and Stephen Amell to sign, which was bittersweet in both instances, as it COULD be the last time I get either of them, depending on how things shake out for both actors & their filming schedules in these final days of the cross over & their respective shows, as both will be leaving soon. After lunch, I didnt see much happening, and it was clear that they were going to be filming inside the abandoned Edgewater Casino, so I left for a couple hours for my own lunch break. As anyone with Stephen Amell on social media knows, a photo with all the cast that were there (minus LaMonica) was taken that evening with his daughter Mavi. While I did see some of the cast leave, I managed to not actually see them all leave. After the wrapped a few of the cast, I headed home, knowing full well I'd have to do this again the next day potentially. On the second day, all the same cast as the first day were there shooting, except LaMonica Garrett. This time, the day started off with the cast filming in the remnants of the old Plaza Of Nations amphitheatre, which now is just an empty pit. The scenes they shot seemed to have the cast all showing up to a spot amongst the rubble, as the Green Arrow and Mia Smoak are the last two to arrive, the group has a small chat, before the Supes fly off, and a group of 4 including Batwoman, The Green Arrow, The ATOM & Mia walk off past a burning car. An odd occurance happened while this scene was being shot. Just randomly, after a few takes, the crew started all holding up umbrellas angled in a way to try and prevent me from seeing what was going on. This isnt a NEW tactic. But it is new for Supergirl.... and, as I pointed out to multiple staff that day, one that never works. All it does is annoy people at set doing what I do. It doesnt stop us. Just annoys. We still get our shots, we just have to try a bit more. They wated the resources of EIGHT crew members on this fruitless tactic, instead of them doing their actual jobs. I am sure WB and The CW would be thrilled to know multiple hours of crew time were spent unsuccessfully trying to block 1 person from getting photos. There are certain things I am sure in all types of work/hobbies that newcomers just dont understand how its a thing.... and I am sure this has to be 1 for newcomers to this. Its never succeeded on a single thing I've been at. All it does is frustrate people like me, which then makes us try a bit harder, and thus, be an inconvenience back. Whether on that day, or down the road. Eventually, the cast & crew moved back inside Edgewater to continue on shooting stuff from the scenes from the day prior. I called it a day at that time, and headed home. UPDATE: OCTOBER 26, 2019 - Video from the shoot has been added at the bottom of this post. THIS BLOG POST IS FOR A "ARROW" SEASON 8 EPISODE 08, AND MAY CONTAIN POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR THE SEASON, AND THE CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS CROSS OVER EVENT.

The massive 5 episode, 6 TV show Arrowverse cross over Crisis On Infinite Earths has begun filming. Last week we first learned about it through an instagram story post from Bitsie Tulloch showing her trailer at the Batwoman set, then the next day we of course got Erica Durance telling us she was on set, followed up with a photo of her and Tom Welling back together at the Kent Farm. Unfortunately, despite having that info, I was unable to get out to that set, and regret not trying harder... but sometimes, things just dont work out. Later in the week, we saw a photo of Grant Gustin dressed up similar to Jonah Hex that was tweeted out by Johnathan Schaech, who plays Jonah on Legends Of Tomorrow. Bitsie Tulloch has added an instagram post of her with double Clark Kents, as both Tom Welling and Tyler Hoechlin were at the Kent Farm with her at some point. Last minute addition, as I was writing this out, came across a tweet from Stephen Amell about his work on COIE (unsure for which show).
This week, I finally got to a cross over set of my own. Unfortunately, because of the area they were filming in, it was a nearly impossible place to see any of what was going on. Arrow was on location in Burnaby's Central Park for a scene in the park with Supergirl lead Melissa Benoist as Supergirl, and Jon Cryer as Lex Luthor. Of course, the last any Supergirl fans saw of Lex, he was laying dead in a chair before The Monitor comes in, sees him and waves his hands. Has Supergirl/Kara seen Lex since?
With Arrow being 1 of the last episodes in the major event, it is hard to believe this is the 1st time Kara sees Lex since last season. But her reaction in the park, the only detail I CAN give you, since she says it so loudly is "what are you doing here?". I know that The Flash starts their crossover this week, in fact, if my details are right, it starts today. The only show I do not know about is Legends, but I feel they too are on it, meaning all 5 shows are now working on COIE. On Sunday, I took a rare chance to see if I could meet any of the people coming in for it. I was definitely rewarded for my efforts. Kevin Conroy, the voice of Batman in almost everything, came in to do his role in Crisis as an older Bruce Wayne. A bit later, the aforementioned Jon Cryer arrived. I also saw Katherine McNamara & David Ramsey from Arrow, and Danielle Panabaker from The Flash come in. Want more Arrowverse materials?
