May Madness IV is coming - Nominate your favorite TV Shows and Characters NOW.

In the U.S., March often means one thing and one thing only to many sports fans. March Madness. The NCAA basketball tournament where schools go head to head in single elimination tournament set up till there is only 1 left, the champion.

On my site, March Madness is the signal that it is time to start getting ready for May Madness. Our very similar concept. Except instead of schools, we have Individual TV Characters, and TV shows go head to head till there is a winner.

Of course, to do this, we need some entrants first. Like years prior, anyone who is still actively on their show that has won a May Madness, or been a finalist in May Madness, or has won a Best Of TV Award in any category is automatically eligible. So, lets look at this years long list of those with guaranteed spots.

With 24 characters and 11 shows already guaranteed, this leaves just 40 spots for TV Characters, and 53 for TV shows to fill out the bracket of 64 competitors.

To be eligible

A TV Character MUST have been in at least 2 episodes in the shows entire run, and 1 of those episodes must be AFTER April 15, 2014.
So a character could theoretically have been in an episode in 2009, and not in another one till April 16, 2014 and will be eligible. Where as a character could have been in every episode in the shows run up to and including April 15, 2014, but never was in 1 after, they are not eligible.

A TV show must have at least 3 episodes of the show aired, and at least 1 ORIGINAL first run episode aired AFTER April 15, 2014. A "first run" of an episode, means its original airing ANYWHERE in the world. So a show that originates in the U.K. for example might air their season 6 months before it airs in Canada or the U.S. The First run of the episode is the one in the U.K., NOT when it debuted in Canada or the U.S.
Online airings count as "first run" airings as well if that is where the show originated. So shows on Netflix, or Amazon etc are eligible.
A show from ANY country can be eligible, long as
1- it is NOT a reality TV program or a news/talk show program.
2- I can verify when it aired easily thru imdb, tv.com, wikipedia or the originating stations website (which must be in English for me to verify it).

To Nominate a Character or Show.

Simply fill out the form below. DO NOT nominate characters or shows that have been automatically nominated or are already been nominated by someone prior, so please read over the list of nominees carefully. Only ONE nomination is needed to be nominated. Multiple nominations are only wasting your time, and mine and may lead to your nominee being penalized.

A helpful hint. Try to limit how many nominees you add from a specific show in the TV character category, as they will eventually be competing against each other for the same votes, and you may cause them to lose to a show with lesser nominees if there are too many from your favorite show.

Since we always get a LOT more character nominees than there are spots available, there will be vote offs, prior to May Madness starting, to decide who gets the final 40 spots.

Nominations will run thru till the end of March (and depending on scheduling... into early April) then the pre-tournament rounds to decide the final 40 characters, and 53 shows will take place.
