May Madness V - Round 1 TV Characters Scores

Round 1 of May Madness is completed and round 2 is under way with some match ups on right now.

Round 1 results for Favorite TV Character included a few obvious winners, and definitely a couple upsets to me, and frankly, I'll say to the majority of the internet. One inter-show match results shocked me so much, I went over the details of the votes TWICE because I still didnt believe the results the first time thru. Last years winner, Samantha Groves/Root "Person of Interest" advances again, while the 2014,2012 winner Lauren Lewis falls in round 1 to Sherlock Holmes from "Elementary". There are 9 characters advancing to the 2nd round who prior to this year had never even been in a May Madness tournament.

Only 1 of the #1 seeds failed to advance to the second round. The higher ranked seeds went 18-14.

Sherlock Holmes "Elementary" with 352 votes had the most in round 1. Dean Winchester "Supernatural" with 62 had the highest vote total in the 1st group, which had a much lower voter turn out.
Catherine Dillman "Gortimer Gibbons Life On Normal Street" with 6 votes had the least in round 1. Julia Ogden "Murdoch Mysteries" with 60 had the least out of the 2nd group, which had a much higher voter turn out.
There was 2 tie in round 1,

Lexa The Commander"The 100" & Matt Murdock "Daredevil" which was decided in a 4 hour poll on twitter, with Lexa The Commander winning.
Bran Stark "Game Of Thrones" & Selina Kyle "Gotham" which was decided in a 4 hour poll on twitter, with Bran Stark winning
