If you want unwatermarked photos.... I do sell them. The contact form is on the left. A couple weeks ago, production began on 2 feature film sequels. Fifty Shades Darker & Fifty Shades Freed. The follow ups to the financially successful Fifty Shades Of Grey. In a unique situation, the production of the 2nd & 3rd films in the series are being done at the same time, which leads to complications in knowing which film they might be filming for any given scene. Of course, I don't know this book series at all (I mean I know the 2 main characters names, I know the subject matter....but I cant tell you a single bit of what scenes they may be shooting on any given day) When I first arrived on March 1st, 2016 at the set they were just nearing the end of shooting a scene with Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele) walking down the street. Not long after that, they concluded shooting that and moved on to the scene that took up the largest chunk of their filming day.      Jamie Dornan then arrived at set to shoot scenes with Dakota. The man who plays the main male lead Christian Grey was sporting a bit of scruff on his face which some fans at set seemed perplexed by.... guessing they were expecting him to be clean shaven on the day.         The pair would shoot a scene for a few hours that saw them take a long walk up Alexander Street in historic Gastown. During breaks (and a couple times right before they were about to shoot) Dakota would erupt into laughing fits and on more than 1 occasion had to stop a take early because of it. I'm not sure what Jamie was saying, but she surely found it sidesplitting funny as you can see from a couple of the pictures in the Dakota set above.        Of course, the main moment of the day was the scene where Dakota and Jamie share a couple of kisses on the street. This is essentially how the scene starts. As Dakota walks towards Jamie, who has his back to her at the time, and when he turns around they briefly interact before kissing. Just another reminder..... if you use these photos elsewhere, DO NOT remove the watermarks, and please credit back to this post, or site. Tomorrow the release of Fifty Shades Of Grey will happen worldwide & fans will line up to see their favorite adult themed book-turned-movie characters on the big screen. In late 2013 and early 2014 the production filmed here in Vancouver. Lots of on location scenes were done, and despite the studio treating it like it was 12 Years A Slave or Slumdog Millionaire with an absurd amount of security focused solely on trying to block people from watching them shoot IN PUBLIC LOCATIONS... some photos still managed to get taken from time to time. Here is a new set. Along with my past blog post here. In this set, we see a few scenes being shot. First there was a short shoot one morning that had a scene where Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey was driving thru Stanley Park. There was almost nothing to this scene, but I shot a couple pic sof the car driving by. Later they moved to a location in Gastown to shoot 2 different scenes. First scene had Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele standing in the pouring rain while Christians driver, played by Max Martini drives away after dropping her off. The production learned a valuable lesson about filming in this area, as 1 of the residents in the building next door did his best to disrupt filming. There is a lot of people in the area who live with a variety of mental disabilities and at least once or twice a year I see 1 or 2 of them get angry at film sets for being there and do a lot to try & disrupt them. Eventually they managed to get the scene completed. Later they did another scene, this one saw Christian escorting Anastasia out of a building and showing her a gift he got her. Another actor was also in the scene off to the side, out I never found out who it was... hes pictured below if anyone knows, feel free to let me know.                                                                        About a month later (February 14th oddly enough) I caught FSOG out 1 more time. They shot a scene where Ana is out running. It was a short & quick scene. Maybe did 5 or 6 takes total & they were gone...and that would be the last I would see of the 50 Shades cast till they came back for re-shoots.                 On February 14, 2015 one of the most hyped films to be shot in Vancouver in some time will hit theatres. No, not The Interview. That's already been released. I am talking about Fifty Shades Of Grey. The adult themed movie with Once Upon A Time star Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson. Shooting, which started back in December 2013 was pretty secretive for much of its main shoot in Vancouver. Although many fans found the set, as did many paps. Viewing the shoots was less simple as a team of umbrellas and various crew doing everything including holding out their jackets to the side tried preventing anyone from seeing much. Of course, this was not 100% effective. At best, I would call it 25% effective. Eventually, over time, those of us that went out often for their sets managed a few pics of them filming from time to time. I have several sets from the shoot, as well as the re-shoot from a few months ago. I will post them here over the next week or so leading up to the release of FSOG in theatres next week. Here is my 1st set. Opening day of filming with Jamie Dornan ( Dakota Johnson was also in the scene apparently, just never could see her from any angle I had) shooting as Christian Grey in a restaurant.               This second set, shot back in late 2013/early 2014 sees Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele coming out of "Grey House". Also on set that evening is "Kick Ass" star Aaron Taylor-Johnson, dropping in to hang out with his wife, FSOG director Sam Taylor-Johnson. There will be a couple more 50 Shades of Grey blogs coming up in the next few days. Fifty Shades Of Grey is in theatres everywhere February 14, 2015                 |
