Modern Family star Sarah Hyland films some scenes for Disney TV movie Geek Charming
Last week a Disney made for TV film was doing some scenes in Gastown.
The movie, titled "Geek Charming" stars "Modern Family" star Sarah Hyland & her real life boyfriend Matt Prokop (who was on set eaqrlier in the day but wasnt when I shot the late night scenes).
I know very little about the film. but below is a handful of shots of Hyland filming some scenes for the movie.
The scene entailed Hylands character walking from the curb to a window of a dress shop, looking in, then proceeding to enter the store. Later on they filmed a couple scenes of her in the store, but I couldnt see what they entailed.
Fringe films a few scenes for season 3 finale. Josh Jackson and Anna Torv on set. With Emily Meade and Brad Dourif
Earlier this month, the cult FOX TV hit "Fringe" filmed some of their last scenes in downtown Vancouver for season 3.
I am sure if you are any type of fan you have seen or heard about the very epic spoilers that came out from filming a bit before that & I am not at this time going to speculate on what I think they mean... but I do have theories.
Instead, I am simply going to post the photos from this evening of filming & give what few details I could put together from it.
There was two sets of scenes this evening. Some inside the historic Oprheum Theatre (you may recognize it as the place that season 2 ended in). The scenes were from what I heard from extras & crew were to do with an explosion/bomb going off at the symphony. On set for those scenes (may not actually be in all or any scenes... were just seen on set) Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson, Emily Meade & Brad Dourif....as well as many extras in some very well done make up/special fx. The scenes appear to be set in the alt-world, as I saw several members in "Fringe unit" gear.
The later scene, which the public did see included a landscape of scattered debris, including part of the Orpheum sign laying on the ground burning as burned out cars filled the street, Torv & Jackson arrive & walk up towards the disaster zone. Josh was wearing an army style jacket with the name plate "Bishop" on it & a "Fringe" badge around his neck. My impression of the way both characters were dressed is this is to potray them in the future at some point as both Torv & Jackson had different hairsyles than the way they usually have them when playing Agent Olivia Dunham (or Fauxlivia either) and Peter Bishop.
I am not certain....but I did notice a telling spoiler in the pics I took. I wont speculate on it anymore till I have a chance to confirm what I saw. I tried avoiding posting pics involving this potential spoiler.
Anyways, below is a few pics from the day
Twilight Breaking Dawn stars Ashley Greene, Jackson Rathbone arrive back in Vancouver with Kellan Lutz and his girlfriend Annalynne McCord
As Summit Entertainment winds down the filming on the 5th & final installment in the Twilight series, " Twilight Saga - Breaking Dawn II" most of the films mainstay stars like Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, have wrapped up their roles & started planning their lives beyond the franchise that has made many of them arguably household names & certainly, larger stars than they ever envisioned before taking on the roles, some of the films long standing members are still in Vancouver however, filming the last scenes of the epic quintology film box office juggernaut (minus eventual re-shoots).
This past Tuesday, 3 of them returned. Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen), Jackson Rathbone (Jasper Hale) & Kellan Lutz (Emmet Cullen) returned along with Mr. Lutz on again off again girlfriend Annalynne McCord (from 90210).
While Lutz signed a small handful of autographs for the waiting crowd & McCord signed for anyone that asked, Greene was quite unwilling to stop. Rathbone, who was walking with Greene was friendly as usual, but with most being unprepared for his arriving, no one really asked him.
Below is a few pics of the cast on their return.
I occasionally argue with inanimate objects, but I usually win. So its all good.
