All summer I have sporadically gone out because its frankly been a bit thin on stuff here. We had Percy Jackon & of course Fringe. But really, its been slow here.
All that is forgotten about NOW! With the cast of the Twilight series coming to town mid-to late next week to start pre-production work for the 3rd movie in the series "Eclipse" things are about to get seriously busy.
The vampires & wolves arent going to be roaming this city alone. There will be plenty of others around to take some of the celebrity watching pressure off.
Bradley Cooper & Liam Neeson will be lurking around with whoever they fill the other holes with for "The A-Team" movie based on the old TV show.
Zac Efron & Vanessa Hudgens will be seen around....perhaps. Zac is here to film "The Death & Life of Charlie St Cloud". He has already been around for a few weeks, but his girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens hasnt been spotted yet, but she will be soon.
Vanessa will be here with Jena Malone for the film "Sucker Punch".
Stone Cold Steve Austin is here to film a TV movie "The Stranger".
The TV show filming season is in full swing with Smallville, Fringe, Stargate Universe, Psych & Supernatural already in production, and new series V, starting in the next couple weeks.
So, alrhough Twilight stars will get the majority share of the spotlight & attention in town this summer, they wont be alone.
I was lucky that he didnt put me in a Vulcan death grip when I met former Star Trek icon known to most people as Spock & current Fringe recurring cast member Leonard Nimoy today shortly after he arrived in town to start filming his scnes for season 2 of Fringe, where he plays mega-businessman/scientist Dr. William Bell.
I had heard terrible things about him all around. He was unfriendly, he was a bad signer, blah blah blah. So I was prepared for the worst. I expected him to shoot me down. While he didnt put his arms out to hug me & embrace my presence at his hotel, Mr. Nimoy was willing to accomodate my quick autograph request before he was rushed away into an awaiting production vehicle.
I was plaeased to see that all the things I had been told seem to be either fabricated or outright wrong. Of course, we'll see if hes still as accomodating when he sees me for a 2nd or 3rd time.
Last but not least yesterday, was the return of a notable chunk of this seasons Smallville cast.
Since Fringe has come to Vancouver, I have had the luck to have met practically all of the primary cast.....except 1. Anna Torv.
Two members of the cast of "Sanctuary" returned from their Comic-Con adventure in San Diego to a handful of fans & autograph hounds waiting at the airport.
Yesterday wasnt my first time meeting Callum. I had met him multiple times in Toronto at the Film Fest a couple years ago for his film "Young People Fucking". So I had some idea what to expect from him. He didnt disappoint.

When I posted the first video of Rob Pattinson & Kristen stewart on the set of New Moon in New Westminster I told you I had a bit more fotage from that day.
A week or so ago I went out & watched some filming of Vancouvers new hit paranormal TV program, Fringe. The show that filmed in the eastern U.S. is now making Vancouver its home & I personally am ecstatic. I really got into this show last season & am eager to meet some of these people.
I was just directed to a 50something reply thread on an Adam Lambert fan site (http://www.adamofficial.com/node/345561) griping about my criticism of him, as if it were them personally I chastized.
I occasionally argue with inanimate objects, but I usually win. So its all good.
