The Best "Supporting" Actor of 2011 as voted by you the fans was.. Mark Sheppard -Supernatural.
Our supporting actress & actor awards had a little different style to it than the mainstream supporting acting awards. Ours was based on appearances, not screen-time. This gave several characters who otherwise might get ignored for their roles, a chance to win for their work. The "King Of Hell" Crowley was around striking deals in 2011 & the actor portraying the sharp tongued demon, Mark Sheppard won this poll. It really is a credit to Mr. Sheppard's acting skills that he was up for 2 different acting awards, from 2 different shows.
Mark dominated the voting by the time it closed with over a 100 vote lead over another Supernatural troublemaker Sebastian Roche. Michael J. Fox from "The Good Wife" rounds out the top 3. Michael Cerveris "Fringe" finished 4th ahead of castmate Kevin Corrigan in 5th. Just 1 vote behind in 6th was "Once Upon A Time" star Lee Arenberg, Will Wheaton of "Eureka" was 7th, "Best guest star" winner Michael Rosenbaum was 8th for his work in "Breaking In", Ben Cotton "Hellcats" 9th narrowly ahead of Patrick Gilmore "The Killing" rounding out the finalists in 10th
This category might have had the most different finalists who had at 1 point had the lead. Besides the eventual winner, Michael J. Fox, Lee Arenberg, Michael Cerveris & Wil Wheaton all had temporary leads in this category early on.

A few pics of the stars of STAKE LAND from the 2010 TIFF Danielle Harris Michael Cerveris Connor Paolo Kelly McGillis
One of the 2010 Toronto International Film Festivial Midnight Madness Premieres was for the film "Stake Land"
These late night showings are always good for trying to meet the actors, because with it being so late the crowds are thin. This night was no different, with only about 20-30 people waiting, it was a great chance to get everyone you wanted from the cast.
The cast was varied.
Danielle Harris - The diminutive horror movie hottie who has the cool distinction of being in both Halloween movie franchises (in Halloween 4 & 5, and then in Halloween 1 & 2 of the new more recent re-creations)
Kelly McGillis - Yes, the same Kelly McGillis from Top Gun.
Michael Cerveris - More recently hes been "The Observer" on the growing FOX hit Fringe.
Connor Paolo - a Gossip Girl cast member
The entire cast was quite receptive to all requests, they did autographs, took photos, posed for photos & chatted with the fans.
I even managed to get Michael to tell me when he was coming back to Vancouver to film more episodes of Fringe.
Day 8 was raining hard when I got up it didnt stop till alte afternoon...so I wasted the day watching The Big Bang Theory & a few other shows in Hamilton.
Day 9 showed potential, but ended with disappointment.
First up was a film with Harvey Keittel & Tricia Helfer. At the least, I expected to get both of my Helfers done. As it turned out, this was not the case.
Tricia showed up, came over, and only signed about 8-10 autographs before leaving to do press. I was stunned & thought I better clean up on Keittel, who I expected to be a challenge...I DIDNT expect I would literally get burned by mere inches.
Keittel showed up & did a few autographs right near where I was. My item was probably no more than 4 inches from where he signed, but he never made the effort to just move a bit more to his left & I was left shut out by this premiere. Keittel also only signed maybe 10-15 autographs total.
Jason Jones from The Daily Show With Jon Stewart was also in the film & did a decent amount of autographs, but I had nothing for him & had to sit back & watch.
The next film had Abigail Breslin and a few people I had nothing for.
I expected to do well with Breslin, and if the $8 an hr peons who hate their life werent there, I likely would have. I did manage to finally get 1 autograph from her near the end of her signing, but she was rushed away very quickly, and only signed maybe 20-30 autographs total, in random clusters along the red carpet.
I left Roy Thompson Hall for the last time of the fest feeling very disappointed in my output there.
I arrived at the midnight showing at Ryerson for a film with Danielle Harris & others, including Fringe castmate "The Observer" Michael Cerveris.
Some young kid named Connor Paolo showed up first & girls seemed excited. Shortly after, Top Gun star Kelly McGillis arrived & signed a bunch for the fans. Then Danielle Harris came over & signed everything there was out there. I ended the evening getting a few photos of them & having a few words with Cerveris about his filming in Vancouver.
My day was complete, with a very underwhelming 4 autographs. I was quite disappointed with the outcome, considering the potential the day had.
