Season 3 of ARROW has started filming - Pics of Stephen Amell, Katie Cassidy and Paul Blackthorne shooting scenes for ep 301

Arrow season 3 is under way in Vancouver, BC, Canada FINALLY!

The 1st public shoot (that anyone seems to have known of) was on Friday right in downtown Vancouver as the production took over Terry Fox Plaza at B.C. Place to film scenes that involved Oliver Queen walking along with Laurel Lance

The pair did a scene where they are walking from the stadium in the blazing heat we had here, eventually they stop and talk to a 3rd character, alive and seemingly well... Quentin Lance.

A bit later they did scenes where Laurel talks to Quentin in front of the media.

In these scenes, you see Quentin dressed up in a little different Police attire.... as he is now Captain Lance.

After those scenes, Paul Blackthorne wrapped his work on those scenes. Short time later Katie Cassidy also wrapped.

This left Stephen Amell there to film scenes that involved another cast member...which I will get to in my next blog post.

I managed to get autographs from all 3 of them at different times. This included a good 15-20 minute chat that Stephen had with those of us that were there. Glad to see he is still cool.

Arrow returns this fall on The CW in the U.S. and on CTV in Canada. for their 3rd season starting October 8, 2014.

Arrow films some stunt and dialogue scenes with Laurel Lance & The Arrow with his fancy new mask....finally.

Arrow shot some scenes in East Vancouver 1 evening a couple months ago at Heritage Hall (which has been used by lots of film crews... including Arrow).

The scenes I saw in the evening were mainly stunt scenes involving "The Arrow" & Laurel Lance stunt doubles (Simon Burnett & ) jumping off a ledge of a building to the ground below with the aide of a wire. While the stunt team perfected that work, they also had Stephen Amell, all suited up (and had I known what I saw at the time.... I woulda posted them before Entertainment Weekly Magazine did) with a brand spanking new mask, no more faicepaint. He was doing scenes with Katie Cassidy as Laurel, clearly post-jump where she reads over some files they just grabbed out of the building.

By the way, random side quandary - when Oliver is in his get up, he isn't "Oliver" hes "Arrow". So what do you call Arrow & Laurel together? Laurrow? Arrel? Cant call it Lauriver since he isn't being Oliver at the time.

After these scenes were shot, the crew moved to the fronty to film a scene of a man I couldnt identify going into a "hospital" in the "pouring rain".

Arrow returns from its Holiday Hiatus Wednesday nights starting January 15, 2014 on The CW in the U.S. & CTV in Canada.
