Supergirl shoots scenes for season 4 with Melissa Benoist and Nicole Maines on set

The cast & crew shot scenes for season 4 episode 1 today at a spot I have seen filming at before. They were using an apartment building that any Fringe fan would know from the episode where Walter ends up in a pocket universe.

The day started with the crew & about 70 background people shooting scenes for a vigil. I posted a couple photos below of the poster the attendees were holding. Not sure who it is.... if you do, feel free to inform me.

After that, they shot a scene with Melissa Benoist dressed up as Kara Danvers, shooting a scene with cast newcomer Nicole Maines as Nia Nal. As far as I know, this was the first public shoot for Nicole, who gained major attention when they landed the role, as Nicole is a transgender person playing a transgender role.

The scene had the pair arriving together at the apartment for what felt like a party by how others were dressed going in there. Nia was carrying a camera with her. Is Nia also a reporter?

After a few scenes of that, they moved fully into the courtyard tey were filming in, so I moved on as there was nothing to see anymore.
