If you are confused on how many you can post, ASK FIRST, and I will let you know. I have my blog from the Thursday July 29th shoot is HERE. I have my blog from the Friday July 30th shoot is HERE. I caught up with Supergirl filming episode 6x20, which IS THE SEASON, AND SERIES FINALE in Mountainview Cemetery on Wednesday July 28th. The cast & crew were there filming a major spoiler scene. A FUNERAL. Who is the funeral for? That, I do not know with certainty. But based off who was & wasnt there, along with who was at other sets through the shoot, I have a strong suspicion. The episode is being directed by Jesse Warn. Here is the list of who was at the shoot. - Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers (along with her stand in) - Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers - Azie Tesfai as Kelly Olsen - Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor - Nicole Maines as Nia Nal - Jesse Rath as Brainiac 5 - Julie Gonzalo as Andrea Rojas - David Harewood as J'onn J'onzz - Jeremy Jordan as Winn Schott - Chris Wood as Mon El - Mehcad Brooks as James Olsens When I first got there, they were doing the 1 scene during the day where you really could see most of the cast working. Everyone but J'onn and Alex, were doing a scene where the other 9 actors were walking together through the graveyard. The front group had Andrea, Kara & Lena together. The middle group had Brainy, Nia, Winn & Mon El. The group at the back was the Olsen siblings. Of course, besides the news of the funeral, the other thing fans noticed that day was that Alex was wearing a wedding ring there. I also saw a wedding ring on Kelly that day, and thought I would have a little scoop on that one, only for her to do that scene the very next day as Kelly. Oh well, sometimes it pays off to hold back content. Sometimes, it blows up in your face. As the day went on, they did a few other parts of the scene, which were unfortunately obstructed by large tombstones, trees, and the productions tents. The only part that I really could see some of was, when several of the characters come and hug Winn (I also thought 1 take they hugged Mon El too, but I never saw it again, so maybe I mistook what I saw?). Another scene we saw was Kara, J'onn, Alex and Nia walking towards the direction the group of 9 had come from earlier. They also did a scene with Mon El, Winn & Brainy walking away together. There were a couple scenes done out in front of the tent, but because it was also an area people hung out between takes, I wasnt sure which parts were scenes, and which parts were just the cast hanging out. Lastly, the photo of the cake. That was in a Dairy Queen while I was on my lunch break.... so I had to take a photo of it. Lastly LASTLY, I do have 1 more blog to do on a set that I havent posted yet. You will have to wait & see what thats about, but I INTEND to have it out before the season 6B premiere. Its much shorter than these last few sets.... so will be able to shoot it out in a couple hours when I get to it, hopefully. Video will come later on my YOUTUBE CHANNEL. So check in there for those later on in a few weeks. Some of the videos will be on the Patreon page for video tier members THIS WEEK. Supergirl Season 5 Finale filming in Coal Harbour with lots of cast including Melissa Benoist3/12/2020 THIS BLOG POST IS FOR SUPERGIRL SEASON 5 EPISODE 20 (the season finale), AND IT MAY CONTAIN POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR THE EPISODE. If you have not seen the episode, and do not want to see or read possible spoilers about it prior to seeing it, do not continue reading the article or viewing the photos below. . . . last warning . . If I file a takedown notice on you, it really is on you for not educating yourself. If you are confused on how many you can post, ASK FIRST, and I will let you know. YOUTUBE BONUS- Because of how large this set is, I will increase the 10+ Minute video selection to 10 photos. THIS INCREASE IS NOT VALID ON OTHER PLATFORMS.... it is also only valid on this blog post, and is inclusive of BOTH sets of photos in here, not each set. UPDATE - (at 11 AM Pacific Time, March 21, 2020) Video will be added at the bottom. It does include photos from this post after the video. So if you have already seen them here, feel free to skip them. I caught up with Supergirl shooting in part of downtown Vancouver called Coal Harbour. On this day they were filming a few scenes for the season 5 finale. Unfortunately I did not get to the first couple, as this information snuck up on everyone and we didnt really find out about it till the early afternoon. By the time I got there, they were on the 2nd to last of several locations they were shooting in the area that day. The first scene I came across had several cast in a scene. Melissa Benoist as Supergirl, David Harewood as Martian Manhunter, Nicole Maines as Dreamer, Jesse Rath as Brainiac 5 (looks a bit different than I recall), Sharon Leal as Miss Martian, and the stand in for Chyler Leigh was in the scene too in some type of black & blue hooded outfit (anyone seen her wearing that before?). The scene had this group of heroes walking thru a mob on a plaza. They get to the front, and seem happy about something. People are seemingly cheering, but there also was at least a couple background who looked up were acting angry, including 1 walking away giving a thumbs down to whatever was going on. No other context of the scene really is known. That was it. After that scene wrapped, they went on lunch & moved on to their next scene across the street.. The last location of the day was in a childrens park. This location saw several cast at it. Melissa Benoist was on set as Kara Danvers, Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor, David Harewood as J'onn J'onzz, Jesse Rath as Querl Dox, Nicole Maines as Nia Nal, as well as returning guest star Sharon Leal as M'gann M'orzz. Also on set was Jon Cryer as Lex Luthor, but he was not shooting (at least while I was there) on camera. This usually means the actor is needed to simply speak a piece of dialogue needed in the scene. From what I could see of the scene, it seemed the cast were hanging around this bench, seemingly having a good time, as there was a lot of laughing while the camera was rolling. Then suddenly something catches their attention, and they all look up a bit. I never heard any dialogue for the scene, but their fun loving nature from moments earlier seemed to change into a more serious look. I know the direction they looked is where Jon was standing off camera, so perhaps it was something to do with Lex? But I cant say. In some of the scenes you might see bubbles on screen, this is because they had a child playing with a bubble blower throughout the scene, while another was playing soccer with a "dad". This was, from what anyone could recall, the first on location shoot Supergirl had done, and more notably Melissa, since her pregnancy announcement. The earlier filming had her in her Supergirl costume, but because of the sheer density of the crowd, theres no photos of her full frame to see if she is well in, or not. The evening shoot, she was bundled in a heavy jacket to hide any ideas on that. After an hour or so of shooting that scene, the cast headed off. Katie and David stopped to meet fans. Earlier in the day Jesse came over to a fence that was splitting the sidewalk and the property they were on to come and say him. They all appeared to be in good spirits despite while they were working the news came out that Riverdale, which shares a studio with Supergirl was shutting down production early because of a possible COVID-19 issue. Katie even referenced she was hesitant to give a fan a hug as she was worried she could give them the disease. Whether that was a thought on her mind prior to the news, or not, I dont know. But she eventually did give the hugs after all. From what it sounded like from the crew I chatted with, this is probably the last exterior shoot of the season. At this time, I believe there is no plans to shut down production for their show, despite sharing a studio with Riverdale. Filming for Supergirl season 5 is scheduled to wrap March 17. So they just have a few days to try and get through this. I also have some video of the scene, but it wont be up for a little while, as I have a lot of other projects that I am working on. Perhaps by next week I will have it on Patreon, and by the end of the month on Youtube. Supergirl VIDEOS - Episode 503 scene, and ep 501 Katie McGrath and Nicole Maines meeting fans8/15/2019 THIS BLOG POST IS FOR SUPERGIRL SEASON 5 EPISODE 3, TITLED "BLURRED LINES" AND MAY CONTAIN POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR THE EPISODE. If you have not seen the episode, and do not want to see or read possible spoilers about it prior to seeing it, do not continue reading the article or viewing the photos below. . . . last warning . . If you want to show your followers the video, you can do so by linking to this blog posts directly, or posting the original youtube link. Re-uploading it ANYWHERE and not simply linking to the original post will have it removed, and depending on the platform, could have your account suspended or terminated. In July, I caught up with Supergirl a few times out and about filming. Here are some videos from two different sets. First, was Katie McGrath and Nicole Maines meeting fans at the set of episode 501 at the Orpheum Theatre. Apologies on the 1 Katie video, for whatever reason, my camera was unclear what to focus on throughout the entire clip. So it does get blurry at times. You probably recognize the videos from the day that Nicole Maines posted on her social media about going to Five Guys Burgers in full wardrobe. At the end is some video of episode 503 being shot with Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers, Staz Nair as William Dey, and Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen. If you are watching & wondering whats wrong with the audio. DONT. Audio is removed to prevent any possible copyright issues on Youtube. On my site, it isnt a problem, but for YT, it can be an issue if some song is playing in the background as a vehicle goes by & suddenly some intern at a record company that thinks your stealing from the boss who doesnt pay them files a claim against you. Sooo, no audio for YT videos. You can find photos from the scene in the video HERE, as well as earlier on that day scenes with Chyler Leigh, Azie Tesfai, along with Melissa and Mehcad HERE When I have a few more minutes this weekend, there will also be video up of the Melissa, Mehcad and Staz scene, I will add the video in here when it is done. I caught up with the cast and crew of Supergirl filming in a couple places a couple weeks ago on back to back days. To start was some shooting in the downtown Eastside. They did scenes at two different spots there. First, in a firehall museum. I saw 2 cast and another person who I believe was in the scene go in & out of there, but dont know what the scene entailed. Melissa Benoist was dressed as Kara Danvers, Mehcad Brooks was dressed as James Olsen, and a 3rd person I saw go in & out who honestly, seemed to be barely clothed under a robe they had him wearing in & out of the museum. After that scene wrapped, they moved across the street to a bench at the front of a building. There they did a night scene with newcomer Staz Nair as William Dey, who at the time I did not know anything about. He shot a scene with an older bald man. The older man crosses the street, sits down next to William, talks to him, before handing him something, then getting up and leaving, before William does the same a couple moments later. The next day, I saw Staz again on set, with Melissa and Mehcad shooting a scene at a building in downtown Vancouver. Everyone seemed to be dressed the same as the day before, so I wonder if this was a continuation of any of those scenes, or set ups for them. This time however, the 3 of them were all in the scene together. It starts with William walking out of a building that they had Catco signs up around, before he is stopped by Kara. William then attempts to leave, when Kara invades his space and physically stops him from leaving. Eventually William does leave, just as James comes out and talks to Kara. Kara looks in the direction of where William was headed with an irked look on her face before James & Kara walk along in that same direction. What was the conversation about? Who knows. We will have to wait and see, but it was clear Kara was not impressed with any of it. During one break, Farley was brought over to the set by the driver to hang out with Melissa. Melissa picked him up for a couple moments and was carrying him. One last thing, I had some random person message me privately asking if Staz character was wearing a wedding ring. Apparently this is a big issue...... so let me just state, you can clearly see in a couple of the photos he is in fact wearing one. So whatever reason this mattered, theres your answer. His character appears to be married. You can find photos form a scene earlier on the 2nd day with Chyler Leigh, Azie Tesfai, along with Melissa and Mehcad HERE When I have a few more minutes this weekend, there will also be video up of the Melissa, Mehcad and Staz scene, I will add the video in here when it is done. I caught up with the cast and crew of Supergirl filming down near the Vancouver Trade & Convention Centre a few days ago. At this location, they had the walk thru courtyard between Hastings and Pender street set up with props for National City things. The episode is being directed by veteran director Eric Dean Seaton. In this scene Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers, Azie Tesfai as Kelly Olsen, and Mehcad Brooks, who recently announced he will be leaving this season, as James Olsen, were shooting a scene where they are out for a walk together. Because of the tight space of this area, it was kind of tough to piece together everything that was going on in the scene, but it seemed that Kara & Alex were walking together, when they were joined by Kelly and James. The group then walked together for a bit while chatting before they stop, then the Olsens go one way, while the Danvers go another. During the scene, at some point Kara has a some donuts as you can see from some of the photos. I remember one of the times when I was walking past the set, I noticed a stand selling things like donuts there, but never really paid it much attention at the time as I they had not filmed the part of the scene with the donuts yet. So I just thought it was another background prop. Before this scene, they did a scene inside of the Mink Chocolate Cafe that seemed to only have Kara from the main cast in it. No clue what was in there as it was all indoors. After this shoot, they moved down the street for another scene, which I will do another blog on this week with Melissa, Mehcad and newcomer to the show Staz Nair which includes a pretty interesting scene between the newcomer and Kara. This year, only 3 of their 4 shows are taking part, with Legends Of Tomorrow taking a pass on this one. Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl are teaming up for the event. Here is a quick scene they shot at B.C. Place (you may know it as usually the home of S.T.A.R. Labs exterior scenes) We have, Grant Gustin as The Flash, Stephen Amell as the Green Arrow, Melissa Benoist as Supergirl, Tyler Hoechlin dressed as what I believe to be Superman Prime, as well as a stand in dressed in a classic Superman outfit. In the scene, it appears Prime is trying to cause havoc by holding Barry Allen hostage outside of a building featuring the Superman logo. Eventually Oliver confronts him with a bow & arrow drawn, and Prime lets Barry go, before clapping his hands together, causing a massive boom behind the logo, then, he steals the mystery book that you have surely seen by now in the promo photos and trailers. You will have to watch it by Unofficial means, because the morons at The CW have given Netflix the rights to air The Flash the next day (it literally does NOT air live ANYWHERE in Canada), while giving Arrow to the Space network, and giving Supergirl to the Showcase network. The former network that carried them, CTV, now has none of them for some reason. If you want these updates to continue this season, this has to STOP. I will be aggressively reporting those who opt to ignore this info from here on out for DMCA notices, or more. The cast & crew shot scenes for season 4 episode 1 today at a spot I have seen filming at before. They were using an apartment building that any Fringe fan would know from the episode where Walter ends up in a pocket universe. The day started with the crew & about 70 background people shooting scenes for a vigil. I posted a couple photos below of the poster the attendees were holding. Not sure who it is.... if you do, feel free to inform me. After that, they shot a scene with Melissa Benoist dressed up as Kara Danvers, shooting a scene with cast newcomer Nicole Maines as Nia Nal. As far as I know, this was the first public shoot for Nicole, who gained major attention when they landed the role, as Nicole is a transgender person playing a transgender role. The scene had the pair arriving together at the apartment for what felt like a party by how others were dressed going in there. Nia was carrying a camera with her. Is Nia also a reporter? After a few scenes of that, they moved fully into the courtyard tey were filming in, so I moved on as there was nothing to see anymore. More photos will come soon... but for now, here is your first look at Nicole Maines on set of Supergirl.
