Arrow films scene for ep 409 "Dark Waters" with Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak - NOTABLE SPOILER10/31/2015 THIS BLOG POST CONTAINS A NOTABLE SPOILER FOR ARROW EPISODE 409 "Dark Waters". If you have not seen this episode and do no not want to see or read any possible spoilers prior to viewing the episode, please do not continue. . . . last warning . . So, as promised. When this blog post with the photo of Olicity kissing hit 15,000 views (took you 7 days, I predicted 3.... guess you didn't want this as bad as you say you did), I'd post video of the scene. A scene by the ways that a certain faction of the internet have been quick to jump to conclusions about (especially after the near slip up in episode 404 when Thea asks felicity why she isn't wearing "it"). Surprise Surprise they were not wrong In a scene shot in front of a variety of other cast including Paul Blackthorne, Katie Cassidy and Charlotte Ross (I believe David Ramsey and Willa Holland as well, but I never actually saw them there... but heard them referenced to being there by crew) Oliver Queen (played by Stephen Amell) proposes to his Team Arrow techie/girlfriend Felicity Smoak (played by Emily Bett Rickards) in front of a bunch of supporters of Oliver at a Mayoral Candidate rally. After this scene, they shot a scene of the couple leaving and getting into a limo. The crew tried keeping the public much further back than most Arrow shoots. This is a show that's usually been quite accepting of fans watching their shoots, but on this night they took extra precautions, including buying up the entire city park so that no one, including the dozens of locals who walk their dogs thru their daily could even go thru and had no less than 6 Vancouver Police there to enforce it. So, my only vantage point of this scene was from about 200 yards away. The video is a bit grainy (ok, a lot grainy), dark and obviously will look much better on TV as a finished product. But here it is... the first look at The Proposal. You can catch the stars of Arrow on their Social Media sites Arrow Twitter Facebook Stephen Amell Twitter Facebook David Ramsey Twitter Willa Holland Twitter Katie Cassidy Twitter Facebook Paul Blackthorne Twitter Facebook Emily Bett Rickards Twitter Charlotte Ross Twitter You can catch Arrow Wednesday Nights on The CW in the U.S. and on CTV in Canada.

Arrow shoots Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak shooting an Olicity scene for season 4 as they kiss10/22/2015 Despite the fact that I have been quite public about how the Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak "ship" known as "Olicity" is ruining Arrow, I know at least a few of you who still haven't angrily vilified follow my blog posts. So, tonight there was a scene shot. A couple kiss in the scene in front of a crowd of supporters at a rally. The couple Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak. Now due to where they filmed the scene, and the lighting and the time of night... photos from it are well.... shitty. It was about 200 yards away (imagine 2 consecutive football fields) in the dark, and with my $500 camera. Soooo, yeah, of course they are fuzzy. But hey, I was the only blogger that bothered to stick around and photograph this for you all. So your welcome? There will be a more detailed post on the entire days filming when I have more time. But for now, an Olicity shot (albeit pretty grainy) for now of their kissing scene tonight. NOTE - removing the watermarks from the photo in use on other sites will result in it being taken down, and depending what the hosting sites policies are, could cost you any accounts you have with the site(s). Its HERE for FREE. Better late than never I suppose. I do suck at keeping up on uploading videos, soooo its no shock that heres some never before seen video from me on the set of Arrow from March 2014. In the scene we see Colton Haynes playing the part of Mirakuru influenced Roy Harper as he takes out a couple of SCPD officers. Arrow starts work on season 4 (sadly without Colton as a regular) next week. Arrow returns this fall to The CW in the U.S. and CTV in Canada. Here are some photos I posted back when I shot this scene with Colton and Bex Taylor-Klaus. Arrow shoots scenes for the season 3 finale with Katrina Law and Katie Cassidy in downtown Vancouver5/13/2015 THIS IS A BLOG POST for the Arrow season 3 finale, episode 323. If you have not seen this episode yet and do not want to see possible spoilers prior to viewing the episode. Do not continue reading or viewing the photos. . . . last warning . . Arrow was filming the finale for season 3 a few weeks ago in downtown Vancouver. While the big reveal scene that was shot VERY late in the night wasnt seen by many, and shot by no one including me. The more public shoot earlier in the night was seen by lots of people and photographed by quite a few. It saw Katrina Law as Nyssa Al Ghul (or is that Nyssa Queen now?) teaming up with Katie Cassidy as Black Canary aka Laurel lance walking thru a Starling City park looking for trouble when the find it in the form of a knife wielding bad guy. What this guest actors role is in the whole grand scheme of the episode, I am not too sure. But Black Canary takes him down while Nyssa seemingly sits by watching. A bit later in the night they shot a scene that only a very very small handful of people saw and they didnt want anyone photographing. It had David Ramsey as John Diggle in the scene along with Willa Holland as Thea Queen... or... something else. Since the spoiler is now out there on what this years terrible event is that will happen in Starling city, guess its safe to tell you the virus makes it to Starling City. Diggle is chasing the person with it when they seemingly get away. Diggle finds himself in a bit of trouble, and is saved by a costumed vigilante who shoots 3 arrows into an attacker. Since we have already seen Thea in a mini-Dark Archer outfit earlier this season you obviously have figured out who the archer is. Since you also saw her get a certain red jacket recently. You can probably guess what her new uniform colour will be. Diggle looks up at her and states "nice threads" and thats the end of the scene. Arrow and several of the cast are up for May madness this year. Voting is going on right now on different match ups every couple days HERE. Arrow autographs can be found here. Arrow season finale airs tonight May 12, 2015 on The CW in the U.S. and on CTV in Canada. Better late than never? Right? well, this year I have often fallen behind on getting blog posts up in time. Another example... this post. Arrow shot scenes for episode 318 awhile ago in downtown Vancouver and did so with the blatant knowledge they were giving up a huge spoiler to those who witnessed it. One of the things I LOVE about Arrow so far is their complete disregard for the public seeing their potential spoilers. While other productions in town treat insignificant filler scenes like they are filming the climactic scene in an Oscar Award winning movie and react to those scenes being posted publicly by onlookers by curling up into the fetal position in a corner and wetting themselves while crying, the writers and producers of Arrow seem to accept and, at times, revel in the fact the public comes to see their big scenes. On this particular spoiler riddled scene, which aired in last weeks episode 318 "Public Enemy", Paul Blackthorne as Captain Quentin Lance was shooting a scene with Colton Haynes, but instead of being dressed as Roy Harper or Arsenal, he was dressed as.... The Arrow. Of course, knowing now what the scene was for, it makes sense. But at the time, seeing this scene shot, everyone was pretty much standing around going "what the fuck is going on?". i'll admit, not having of course seen the episodes that would lead up to this scene yet play out (it was filmed BEFORE the arc of Captain Lance hating Team Arrow again) I thought this was some type of "trick" scene that the captain was in on.... but nope, it certainly was not. Arrow is off this week, but returns next Wednesday with a new episode on The CW in the U.S. and on CTV in Canada You can of course see more of my Arrow blog posts of the past HERE. This past Saturday, a few hundred Vancouverites got to partake in a charity event at Club 560 in downtown Vancouver for the Fuck Cancer foundation. The event of course had the privilege of getting one of Vancouver's more notable TV stars to host, Arrow's Stephen Amell. Like all the attendees who paid $40 U.S. (or $150 for VIP) Stephen wore his "Fuck Cancer" shirt that everyone was given and was told they had to wear to get in. Amell played the part of host, and was very good at doing so. He started the night by greeting some fans as they lined up to get their photos taken on the small red carpet inside, he of course took 100s of autograph & photo with requests in stride throughout the night in 5 to 15 minute slots in between interactions with those who paid $150 to be in a VIP section with him. He even spoke quite briefly about the night & told the crowd the next song was a special one to him (I cant remember now the exact details he said on why it was, whether its when he met Cassandra, or proposed...but.... it was special to him) and immediately after introducing it, he got off the stage and down onto the dance floor with his wife, and the pair danced to the song with dozens of partiers circling the pair. Below is a video of the pairs dancing to the song "Come On Eileen" from Dexys Midnight Runners.. You can find out more about the Fuck Cancer foundation HERE This post contains filming information for Arrow episode 317 "Suicidal Tendencies". IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THIS EPISODE AND DO NOT WANT TO VIEW POTENTIAL SPOILERS, DO NOT CONTINUE READING OR VIEWING THE PHOTOS BELOW. . . . last warning . . Arrow was filming scenes a couple months ago for episode 317 "Suicidal Tendencies" in East Vancouver at a hall they have used several times for several things. This time, the hall was not a hospital, or hall of records, but a wedding hall. As I tweeted back when the shooting happened, the cast were shooting a scene for a wedding, and although my joke that it was Ray & Felicity wedding was met with some anger by overly sensitive Olicity fans, the true happy couple was eventually sleuthed out by the fanbase. David Ramsey and Audrey Marie Anderson as John Diggle & Lyla Michaels were shooting scenes where the couple gets re-married. Of course Dig & Lyla had a few friends at their joyous event of note. Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer, Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak, Willa Holland as Thea Queen and Colton Haynes as Roy Harper and Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance were also all at the event. Very little of the actual filming could be seen from outside. Only things I can confirm are things that are already known on the internet. It was a Dig & Lyla wedding, and Felicity catches the bouquet. Outside of that, no dialogue was heard, and very little of the scene could even be seen thru the 2 pglass doors, dozens of extras and equipment. Of course, what would a Suicide Squad themeed episode be without a member of Amanda Wallers bunch? A scene was done outside after the reception scene with Dig & Lyla walking to a limo and getting in. Waiting for them on the inside was Michael Rowe as Floyd Lawton, aka - Deadshot. What takes place inside the limo, who knows? Perhaps the SS was playing security detail for the wedding? Or, Lyla or Dig was being called away to a job. Will have to wait till next week to see. This was what I call the "beginning of the end" of the Arrow set being a place where you could go & meet the case easily. There was no less than 20 people throughout the day at the set, and at 1 point, 19 people were there at the same time. Sure enough, it encouraged many of the cast to start sneaking out the back doors when they were on a break instead of coming out the front doors as they did when there was only 5 or 8 of us. This was of course part of what I call a "perfect storm" of circumstances. The 4 big productions in town were all on location that day (Flash, Once Upon A Time & Supernatural along with Arrow), as fans went to the other locations & found them to be either inaccessible, or boring, they all flocked to the Arrow set where they were hearing about how many cast were there & how accessible they were. It was clearly obvious that 1/2 of the people at the Arrow set that day were not even fans of the show, but just wanted to meet "someone famous". I miss the days where there was just 2 or 3, and sometimes just me, at the set. Arrow airs Wednesday nights on The CW in the U.S. and on CTV in Canada. |
