THIS POST MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR EPISODES 401,403 AND 404 OF "ONCE UPON A TIME". The 4th season of the hit ABC fantasy drama "Once Upon A Time" premieres tomorrow night on ABC. This season is going to feature a 9 episode story arc centred around the hit Disney billion dollar movie "Frozen". They have cast several characters from the movie for this story arc, and I was the 1st person to post photos of Elizabeth Mitchell on set, and the 1st to post a pic of Georgina Haig filming a scene back when they filmed in Steveston a couple months ago. Also cast in the arc are Elizabeth Lail as Anna and Scott Michael Foster as Kristoff. Georgina Haig, formerly from "Fringe" has been cast as Queen Elsa. She did scenes throughout a 2 day shoot with Colin O'Donoghue as Captain Hook & Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan, but for the mostpart did just solo scenes. Some of the other scenes shot over the 2 days were reactionary scenes to the arrival of the Elsa character, including some with Faustino Di Bauda, Lee Arenberg and Josh Dallas. Georgina did 1 night shoot scene where we see her at Mr. Gold's pawn shop. What could she be looking for in there? That will be a mystery we wont know the answer to till the season begins. I caught up with Georgina twice over the 2 day shoot. The 1st time as she was leaving the set earlier in the day on day 1. She sat in her transportation vehicle & willingly signed for the 1/2 dozen people there before being Driven off. The second time was after the end of day 2. I called out to her as she prepared to leave set after shooting her night scene. She did not hesitate to come over to the couple dozen fans still waiting around at 1:30 AMish She signed autographs, and took a couple photos with fans in her Elsa dress (partially covered by a jacket).                               A few weeks later, back in Steveston, the arrival of another Frozen character was seen as Elizabeth Mitchell shot scenes. Her character is The Snow Queen, who we first see filming scenes as the proprietor of a sundae shop called "Any Given Sundae" while Lee Arenberg, Beverley Elliott and Raphael Sbarge go storming by her. My next trip out to Steveston a week later after seeing her dressed as a shop owner, we see her, in full Snow Queen garb being chased thru the streets and alleys of Storybrooke by the towns Sheriff, and former bounty hunter Emma. Once Upon A Time will run with the Frozen theme for 9 episodes to start season 4, then it will be gone. The 1st of these episodes airs tomorrow night September 28, 2014 on ABC in the U.S. and on CTV in Canada. Once Upon A Time filmed scenes in Steveston on Tuesday for episode 403. I will have a more in depth break down of the scenes, and more photos for some of the scenes later on this week/month. For now though, here is a few pics from each scene, and a list of who shot scenes on the day. 1st scene - Sean Maguire (Robin Hood) - Christie Laing (Maid Marian) - Raphael Alejandro (Roland) 2nd scene - ELIZABETH MITCHELL (in her 1st public scene) - Lee Arenberg (Leroy) - Raphael Sbarge (Dr. Archie Hopper) - Beverley Elliott (Granny) 3rd scene - Josh Dallas (David Nolan) - Jennifer Morrison (Emma Swan) - Michael Socha (Knave Of Hearts) 4th scene - Ginnifer Goodwin (Mary Margaret Blanchard) - Raphael Sbarge (Dr. Hopper) 5th scene - Georgina Haig (Elsa) - Colin O'Donoghue (Captain Hook) 6th scene - Jennifer Morrison (Emma) - Colin O'Donoghue (Hook) NOT on set of note - Robert Carlyle, Emilie de Ravin, Lana Parrilla, Jared Gilmore, Elizabeth Lail or Scott Michael Foster As with all my blog posts. I watermarked the night scene pics a bit harsher than others because the last time I had Captain Swan pics of note... a large handful of fans disrespected the faint watermarks I usually use, and removed them and re-posted them as their own content.... which resulted in 54 DMCA take down notices issued to 5 sites. So now those pics will be treated with a bit thicker watermark. Blame them. Last week I caught the cast & crew out working in Steveston, or as you know it "Storybrooke" for a 2 day shoot. There was several scenes filmed over those 2 days, and I got a LOT of pics, so I am having to divide up things into 5 blog posts on it...yes FIVE. There was just that much stuff. So there will be a blog post solely on the night shoots here. There is a blog post on Jennifer Morrison & Colin O'Donoghue working together (already posted HERE). There will be a blog post on Ginnifer Goodwin & Josh Dallas working together along with a variety of other cast. There will be a blog post solely committed to the 2 Dwarves I saw filming over those days, and anyone that crossed paths with them in the scenes. Finally, there will be a blog post solely on the newest character for season 4, from the hit movie "Frozen" Queen Elisa, played by "Fringe" alum Georgina Haig. After a quick opinion poll on twitter, you guys decided you wanted to see the night shoot pics next, so here it is... in all their grainy & sometimes slightly blurry goodness. Lets start off with a bit of baby time. The night scenes gave Josh Dallas and Ginnifer Goodwin a chance to shoot scenes with a baby (is it their own baby filling in for the role?). During breaks Ginnifer Goodwin would interact with some of the cast carrying the baby. I nabbed a couple pics of her interacting with Sean Maguire, while holding the baby.          The night shoots were hard to get much out of. The crew was being unreasonable, abusing their "power" (they have little to none...but the Richmond RCMP let them act like they did) so they had the fans actually standing SO FAR AWAY from where they were filming, there was literally nothing at all to be seen of the scene, from any of the angles where they were making everyone stand. Of course, I am not much for just accepting such absurd demands. So I did wander around, till I found a spot that helped me at least see part of the scene for awhile and helped me manage to get some shots of the scene. It was scenes with Marian (Christie Laing) out in Grannys Diners front yard yelling about what a monster Regina ( Lana Parrilla) is to a group of onlookers that included the Evil Queen herself. Robin Hood (Sean Maguire), Roland ( Raphael Alejandro) Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue), David & Mary (Josh Dallas and Ginnifer Goodwin ..as well as a baby), Emma (Jennifer Morrison), Henry (Jared Gilmore), Leroy & Walter (Lee Arenberg and Faustino Di Bauda) were all on set for these scenes at various points.                    A later scene saw Regina storm off throught the main street of Storybrooke after the altercation ended. What was the Evil Queens reaction to the verbal attack? Not too sure. The only audio that anyone could pick up was when Marian was yelling. All the scenes in the courtyard were partially or fully blocking most of the cast with crew, equipment and shrubbery. So there was not a lot that you could see at once. The 1st night, no cast came over to meet fans. Much to the chagrin of the couple dozen die hards that waited till 12:30 AM. But Lana Parrilla (on her birthday) did tell them she would be back there tomorrow. Sure enough, next night the majority of those that waited (some did not, because they waited near the barricades where they thought the security people would bring her over to) got to meet Lana when she stood around in front of the set and met with fans before security rushed her off while she was still talking and holding a fans hand. After all, they were just following orders from ABC/Disney to treat this 4th season show like its The Hunger Games. So umbrellas were out in full force...but it did little to nothing to stop the paps, or us set bloggers from getting more than our fair share of shots of the scenes. I for one, had over 2400 photos to go thru (granted about 600 of them were COMPLETE junk where the actors were blocked, or it didn't focus, or a few dozen of the cement, the sky or random peoples shoulders) so hopefully, this tactic will have seen its last day on the set. So there will be blog posts on Jennifer Morrison & Colin O'Donoghue working together. There will be a blog post on Ginnifer Goodwin & Josh Dallas working together along with a variety of other cast. The "Captain Swan" scenes generally consisted of Captain Hook (played by Colin O'Donoghue) coming up to Emma Swan (played by Jennifer Morrison) while she was out for a walk with her family. They then went aside from everyone and chatted. A second scene with the pair, ending in pretty much the same spot, had them coming from the opposite direction running, and looking back over their shoulder. What was catching their attention? You'll have to wait till the blog post on the Dwarves for that tidbit. There was also a scene with them & Elsa in a marine building. I believe, but am not 100% that scene precedes the scene of Hook & Emma running. The scenes this pair did overlapped pretty much every other cast member that was around for the 2 days. They had scenes with Josh Dallas, Ginnifer Goodwin, Jared Gilmore, Lee Arenberg, Faustino DiBauda, Georgina Haig, Sean Maguire, Christie Laing, Raphael Alejandro and Lana Parrila, in various combinations. On day 1, Jen & Colin came over to a crowd of about 50-75 people after a scene they shot with Georgina. The 3 of them came over, but Georgina, unfamiliar to most there, got away after only a minute or so while the majority of the crowd moved towards Jen & Colin. I am pretty sure everyone there got to me 1 or both of them, but the disorganized fashion the security team had for it might have caused a couple people to miss out. Sometimes, some people from crews are eager to be famous and do ridiculous things to get the attention of paps or set bloggers. One such case was this security guy. His umbrella antics were not what set him apart, because his other security detail co-workers did similar tricks. Nope, it was his sexually suggestive comment which I wont repeat here, that he said to a photographer, infront of a group of people in the middle of the day which included several children. You wanted to be noticed, now you are. Congratulations. Choose your words more wisely next time.  Once Upon A Time Films some season 3 Finale scenes with several cast (contains wardrobe spoilers)4/6/2014  THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR THE SEASON 3 FINALE OF "ONCE UPON A TIME". Please Do Not continue reading, or viewing the photos if you want to avoid spoilers. . . . last warning . . This season of Once Upon A Time recently filmed its finale. Unlike other seasons, few if any spoilers from the set seemed to come out. One thing that did come out however, was in the last few days of filming.... the cast in FTL clothes. Yeah I know, you've seen the "cast" in FTL clothes.....but have you seen EMMA SWAN in FTL clothes? Although we were unable to see what scenes were being shot at Burnaby's Central Park for the finale, we were able to get a glimpse at sevral of the cast ons eet, including Josh Dallas & Ginnifer Goodwin, Colin O'Donoghue, Jennifer Morrison & recurring guest star Meghan Ory. There had been rumours of Lana Parrilla also being at the set, but in the end, it seemed those were just rumours, as no sightings of the Evil Queen surfaced throughout their long day in the forest of Central Park. Later in the evening, the cast did some scenes that had just Josh, Meghan & Colin. With Ginny due to have her & Josh Dallas 1st child any day, the security was obviously overly protective of the couple, and understandably, they never came over. Colin O'Donoghue & Jennifer Morrison however did come over. What will happen in the season finale is more or less a mystery to everyone for once. But here are some 1st look pics of Jennifer Morrison in FTL attire, along with Colin O'Donoghue, Ginny & Josh & Meghan Ory from the set this past week. Once Upon A Time filmed in Steveston on a chilly late January day for scenes with a variety of cast including Ginnifer Goodwin, Josh Dallas, Jennifer Morrison, Emilie de Ravin & Rose McIver. I could not really tell much about what the scene was, but it had the 5 of them standing in the middle of a street in downtown Storybrooke talking about something. This was the 1st time I saw the OUAT cast on set in 2014 & I believe might have been the 1st cast I saw in 2014 at all. It was also the 1st time I saw Josh & Ginny since my departure pic of them that you probably saw in 1 of several celeb sites back before Christmas. In a far less common problem of late, the crew of the Once Upon A Time production seem to be the only ones in Vancouver that still think holding up umbrellas when its not raining is an acceptable practice. They might be in for a rude awakening someday soon, legally. Anyways, below is the selection of photos I have chosen to show you from that days shoot. In a cool, fairly unexpected moment, Emilie & Jennifer came over to see the fans at the end of the day. Of the 5 cast there, I would have wagered that they would be the two most unlikely to come over, but I certainly didnt complain. In this set is the group photos from that day. At a later date I will post some of the solo, or individual prominent photos of the cast there that day. A few weeks ago, I caught Once Upon A Time filming a few blocks from my house with a couple of their main cast. In this particular scene they filmed Henry & Emma walking across the street of a New York intersection. Of course, with the mid-season finale now aired, we now know that Henry & Emma are living in New York City with their new memories. Unfortunately, I only got there in time for 1 take... and with the considerable rain that was falling this day, I didnt have the best position for the scene as I looked for a spot that was dry & sort of in view. In any case, here are the shots I got of the 2 BOTVA (Best of TV Awards 2013) finalists that are still going on right now, Jennifer Morrison (sexiest actress) & Jared Gilmore (best youth actor) filming that 1 take for an upcoming episode of OUAT. Earlier in the day, they filmed scenes at a "NYPD Station" which had Colin O'Donoghue & Jennifer Morrison filming a very notable scene for CapitanSwan fans. I'll have some of those photos coming soon (probably early 2014). Once Upon A Time will return March 9, 2014 on ABC in the U.S. & CTV in Canada. The longer than usual hiatus is probably to avoid competing with the Winter Olympics... but I don't know why they aren't           |
