Once Upon A Time shoots scenes for episode 608 in late September with Jennifer Morrison, Lana Parrilla, Jared Gilmore and others.
THIS BLOG POST IS FOR EPISODE 608 OF "ONCE UPON A TIME". If you have not seen this episode & do not want to read or view possible spoilers to it, do not continue reading or viewing the photos.
Once Upon A Time shot a scene for episode 608 in Richmond not far from their usual "downtown Storybrooke" location in Steveston. In this scene, there was Jared Gilmore as Henry Mills, Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan, Lana Parrilla as the Evil Queen and Lanas stand in as Regina Mills.
The scene started with the Evil Queen & Henry talking before Henry walks away. Shortly after Emma and Regina confront the EQ, and Regina holds out a mirror while EQ also holds out a mirror.
During 1 of the breaks while they were changing the angles, Lana took her dog Lola for a walk around the beach before stopping on a log and just hanging out with her for a few minutes before she had to get back to work.
After this scene wrapped, this did another scene with Colin O'Donoghue & the stand in dressed as Regina. It was SUPPOSED to have Lana there as well dressed as Regina, but the time it took her to get changed out of EQ gear & into Regina gear was going to apparently take too long & they were already behind schedule, so they just had her double do the scene.
A bit later I went to Steveston for a bit. I caught a couple takes of David Paul Grove as Doc shooting a scene where he gets into a car & checks himself in a mirror.
Shortly after that I called it a day with lots of filming still to happen as I had a long day up to that point already.
Once Upon A Time airs Sundays on ABC in the U.S. and on CTV in Canada.

Once Upon A Time shoots scenes for episode 523 with Robert Carlyle, Lana Parrilla, Jennifer Morrison, Jared Gilmore and Olivia Steele-Falconer
THIS POST MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 523 OF "ONCE UPON A TIME". Do not continue reading or viewing the photos or article if you do not want to see/know anything about the episode prior to viewing it and have not yet seen the episode.
Once Upon A Time filmed scenes for the season 5 finale, episode 523 at the Vancouver Art Gallery in late March. This is the 2nd blog post about this shoot, you can find my previous one HERE
In this scene there was several cast on hand, along with dozens of extras. The scene primarily focused on Jared Gilmore as Henry Mills, Lana Parrilla as Regina Mills, Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan and Olivia Steele-Falconer as Violet. Robert Carlyle as Mr. Gold was also there but I didnt see much of what his role in the scene was. He definitely wasnt front & centre of the main scene at the fountain as the other 4 were.
The scene had Henry handing out pennies to a crowd of people around the fountain. They then all tossed their pennies into the fountain and "something" rises out of it. What that something is? No clue, it will surely be green screened in. I also never got an idea if it was good or evil because the facial expressions of everyone was all over the place. Eventually whatever this thing is seems to then crash down to earth and "something" is revealed to be there..... which you will see in the next blog post.
This scene seemed to take up the majority of their filming day. During breaks the cast would do what they could to keep themselves entertained. Robert Carlyle came over & met fans on 1 break. Thank goodness for me. I had 4 things sent to me before the start of the season to get done by Robert, and it took me till this last day of location shooing for him this season to finish them off.
Once Upon A Time airs its 2 hour season finale this Sunday on ABC in the U.S. and on CTV in Canada.

Once Upon A Time shoots scenes for episode 412 in Steveston with several cast including 2 new big baddies.
THIS BLOG POST CONTAINS PHOTOS AND BREIF SCENE DESCRIPTIONS FOR EPISODE 412 OF "ONCE UPON A TIME". If you have not seen this episode and do not want to read or see possible spoilers from the episode, do not continue.
Back in November I caught the cast & crew of the ABC fantasy series Once Upon A Time shooting in Steveston for episode 412.
Like many trips to Steveston, the crew squeezed in as many scenes as they could to the small fishing village that stands in for Storybrooke, Maine.
With so many scenes set for the day, once again I saw many different cast throughout the day.
When I first got there, I saw Jennifer Morrison, Lana Parrilla, Ginnifer Goodwin, Colin O'Donoghue & Emilie de Ravin shooting scenes in the middle of Monctor Street (aka - Main street in Storybrooke). The scene had Regina & Emma run towards something, then Hook, Mary & Belle come up behind shortly after.
In between takes the women eagerly grabbed their winter jackets to keep warm as Steveston has a reputation for being several degrees cooler than most other places in the Lower Mainland, while Colin seemingly seemed ok in his Hook attire. They continued filming with these 5 in the middle of the street before moving on to more scenes.
Then the crew moved on to scenes where Lana & Jared Gilmore shoot a quick scene that seems to show Henry getting ready to go to school (seriously, does this kid ever actually go to school anymore? Also, who is teaching the kids?? Mary seems busy with other things).
Next up was a scene where Jennifer drives down a street in the yellow Volkswagen Beetle that everyone knows as Emma Swan's car. Her passenger.... none other than Regina.
A little later, there was a scene next to Mr. Golds with Colin & Jen where they exchange a couple quick words, a quick hug/kiss and proceed along the sidewalk with their arms around each other. At the time I thought I had found a great spot to sneak pics of this scene.... only to find out when I walked around where the crowd was watching from they had a pretty good view of the scene as well.
Finally, scenes were done after it got dark in the middle of Moncton Street with Robert Carlyle and 2 cast members I had never seen prior to that moment. Victoria Smurfit & Merrin Dungey. Of course there has been plenty of news since this scene was shot about the 3 big bads of the back end of season 4 being Kristin Bauer van Straten as Maleficent, Smurfit as Cruella De Vil and Dungey as Ursula.... but at that time, no one really knew who Dungey was yet except for a couple fans that recognized her instantly.
The scene showed Cruella, Ursula and Mr. Gold walking aright down the middle of Main street talking and part or all of the topic of conversation seemed to be about Regina from what I could make out from snippets of conversation during the takes.
