Once Upon A Time Series Finale filming in Steveston Last Week - Featuring - Rose Reynolds, Tiera Skovbye, Lee Arenberg, Raphael Sbarge, Beverley Elliott, Faustino Di Bauda, David Paul Grove & special appearance by Lana Parrilla
THIS POST CONTAINS POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR "ONCE UPON A TIME" SEASON 7 & SERIES FINALE TITLED "LEAVING STORYBROOKE". IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THIS EPISODE YET, AND DO NOT WANT TO SEE OR READ POSSIBLE SPOILERS, DO NOT CONTINUE READING THE ARTICLE BELOW OR VIEWING THE PHOTOS AT THE BOTTOM.
I caught up with the Once Upon A Time cast and crew in Steveston last week.
When I have more time this week, there will be more blog posts about this weeks final scenes being shot in Steveston. But till then.... here is the first of the last sets of Once Upon A Time.
In this shoot, there was a little mixture of season 1 to 6 recurring cast, along with some season 7 cast.
We find a variety of the frequent recurring season 1 to 6 cast outside Granny's Diner in Storybrooke. Raphael Sbarge as Dr. Archie Hopper with Pongo, Beverley Elliott as Granny, Lee Arenberg as Leroy, Faustino Di Bauda as Walter & David Paul Grove as Doc are out there. Eventually we see Leroy step off the curb and a few moments later, he drops a tray of bagged lunches as season 7 cast members Rose Reynolds as Allice / Tilly and Tiera Skovbye as Margot / Robin show up in a food truck and hastily jump out to check and see if Leroy is okay. He replies with a line about how his lunches arent as he angrily yells at the two young girls. A little while later, after some lengthy dialogue, we see the girls shriek and run away around the side of the truck, as the dwarves all chase them around the truck.
After filming that scene, some of the cast joined Rebecca Mader and Lana Parrilla outside the shell of the Mr. Golds shop they put up for filming since the original Mr. Golds refused to allow them to use it anymore a couple years ago (but still likes cashing in on the tourism of it by using a Mr. Gold stand up poster outside it....sleazy) with the Mayor of Richmond, and a few others to officially call it "Once Upon A Time Day" in Richmond. Lana gave a wave to the fans before leaving, telling them she would be back later.... which she absolutely was (if you havent seen the thank you video I posted earlier... that was from later on in this day, you can see it HERE).
Unfortunately, I lost an entire days worth of shots, as well as a handful of photos on this day. But I still have photos, so I still have some posts to do..... as well, there will be a couple video clips coming up too But here is the first set of photos form the finale shoot of Once Upon A Time.
Once Upon A Time is airing the final season on ABC right now, every Friday night till the series finale on May 18, 2018.

Once Upon A Time season 5 started filming last month. The small village of Steveston in South Richmond was again transformed into Storybrooke for a day of filming for episode 1.
The first scene I came across in downtown Steveston for the 1st day of shooting for Once Upon A Time season 5 in the town involved an odd sight.
Granny's diner had been transformed into a beer garden. whether this is a temporary situation, or permanent was not yet known. More off, was Gabe Khouth as Sneezy wearing an Emma Swan style red jacket & driving the Sheriffs car. He shows up to what appears to be a ribbon cutting ceremony with several other dwarves in attendance including Faustino DiBauda, Mig Macario and maybe others.. I couldn't see the whole scene from where I was, but there was at least 3 or 4 of the dwarves there. Most notably missing was Lee Arenberg.
After that scene, the production moved 1/2 block down to an intersection. In the intersection they set up a scene with several cast members including Rebecca Mader, Sean Maguire, Lana Parrilla, Josh Dallas, Ginnifer Goodwin, Colin O'Donoghue, Emilie de Ravin and Jared Gilmore.
In the scene, we see Lana as Regina Mills marching towards Rebecca and Sean as Zelena and Robin Hood. Regina is flanked by several of the locals, Hook, Mary & Dacid, Belle and Henry all follow her to the middle of the street.
It seems that Zelena has robin captive somehow and demands a wand from Regina for the release of Robin. Regina does whats asked of her, and gives Zelana a wand. Robin is then let go & instantly taken in by Regina to their side of the battle.
Zelena proudly waves the wand around, attempting perhaps to create magic or a spell? But its appears to be a fake. Zelena realizes it wont work, but before she can react, Regina moves in & puts a cuff around her arm and seemingly stops Zelena dead in her tracks.
Once the cast did a couple rehearsals of it, they went back to their trailers & got into wardrobe for the actual filming.
A little while later, the group returned to film the scene in their full wardrobes for the day. By that point, the crowds swelled well over 150 and at times, over 200 people, as the combination of the 1st shoot of the season and nice weather drew a larger than usual crowd. No surprise with the size of the crowd, none of the main cast came over to meet any fans at all this day. while the main cast is becoming less & less receptive of coming over in the past year or so, its rare that NONE of them do. Guess the absurdly large crowd was just too much for any of them to consider.
While they were shooting this scene, my battery on my camera died so I left while they were still shooting. so I don't know if more happened in this scene afterwards, but the amount of times they shot this, I doubt it.

Once Upon A Time returns for season 5 on ABC in the U.S. and on CTV in Canada starting Oct 2015
Once Upon A Time films scene for episode 401 with Faustino Di Bauda, Lee Arenberg, Colin O'Donoghue, Jennifer Morrison and Josh Dallas
Better late than never?
Here are some pics of Once Upon A Time shooting a scene for episode 401, including where Grumpy yells the line about there being an "evil snowman, run"
I had so many photos from that shoot that these just got lost in the backlog of a multitude of other posts that others asked for 1st.
So, hope you enjoy these shots of Lee Arenberg as Leroy, Faustino Di Bauda as Walter, Colin O'Donoghue as Killian, Jennifer Morrison as Emma and Josh Dallas as David encountering the massive snowman that Elsa unleashed on Storybrooke in the season premiere.
THIS POST MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR EPISODES 401,403 AND 404 OF "ONCE UPON A TIME". If you do not want to read or see possible spoilers from those episodes prior to their airing...please do not continue.
The 4th season of the hit ABC fantasy drama "Once Upon A Time" premieres tomorrow night on ABC.
This season is going to feature a 9 episode story arc centred around the hit Disney billion dollar movie "Frozen".
They have cast several characters from the movie for this story arc, and I was the 1st person to post photos of Elizabeth Mitchell on set, and the 1st to post a pic of Georgina Haig filming a scene back when they filmed in Steveston a couple months ago. Also cast in the arc are Elizabeth Lail as Anna and Scott Michael Foster as Kristoff.
Georgina Haig, formerly from "Fringe" has been cast as Queen Elsa. She did scenes throughout a 2 day shoot with Colin O'Donoghue as Captain Hook & Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan, but for the mostpart did just solo scenes. Some of the other scenes shot over the 2 days were reactionary scenes to the arrival of the Elsa character, including some with Faustino Di Bauda, Lee Arenberg and Josh Dallas.
Georgina did 1 night shoot scene where we see her at Mr. Gold's pawn shop. What could she be looking for in there? That will be a mystery we wont know the answer to till the season begins.
I caught up with Georgina twice over the 2 day shoot. The 1st time as she was leaving the set earlier in the day on day 1. She sat in her transportation vehicle & willingly signed for the 1/2 dozen people there before being Driven off. The second time was after the end of day 2. I called out to her as she prepared to leave set after shooting her night scene. She did not hesitate to come over to the couple dozen fans still waiting around at 1:30 AMish She signed autographs, and took a couple photos with fans in her Elsa dress (partially covered by a jacket).
A few weeks later, back in Steveston, the arrival of another Frozen character was seen as Elizabeth Mitchell shot scenes. Her character is The Snow Queen, who we first see filming scenes as the proprietor of a sundae shop called "Any Given Sundae" while Lee Arenberg, Beverley Elliott and Raphael Sbarge go storming by her. My next trip out to Steveston a week later after seeing her dressed as a shop owner, we see her, in full Snow Queen garb being chased thru the streets and alleys of Storybrooke by the towns Sheriff, and former bounty hunter Emma.
Once Upon A Time will run with the Frozen theme for 9 episodes to start season 4, then it will be gone. The 1st of these episodes airs tomorrow night September 28, 2014 on ABC in the U.S. and on CTV in Canada.

Once Upon A Time films some night scenes for the Season 4 Premiere Episode in Steveston last week with several cast
The 4th season of the hit ABC fantasy drama "Once Upon A Time" has begun filming in and around Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Last week I caught the cast & crew out working in Steveston, or as you know it "Storybrooke" for a 2 day shoot. There was several scenes filmed over those 2 days, and I got a LOT of pics, so I am having to divide up things into 5 blog posts on it...yes FIVE. There was just that much stuff.
So there will be a blog post solely on the night shoots here. There is a blog post on Jennifer Morrison & Colin O'Donoghue working together (already posted HERE). There will be a blog post on Ginnifer Goodwin & Josh Dallas working together along with a variety of other cast. There will be a blog post solely committed to the 2 Dwarves I saw filming over those days, and anyone that crossed paths with them in the scenes. Finally, there will be a blog post solely on the newest character for season 4, from the hit movie "Frozen" Queen Elisa, played by "Fringe" alum Georgina Haig.
After a quick opinion poll on twitter, you guys decided you wanted to see the night shoot pics next, so here it is... in all their grainy & sometimes slightly blurry goodness.
Lets start off with a bit of baby time. The night scenes gave Josh Dallas and Ginnifer Goodwin a chance to shoot scenes with a baby (is it their own baby filling in for the role?). During breaks Ginnifer Goodwin would interact with some of the cast carrying the baby. I nabbed a couple pics of her interacting with Sean Maguire, while holding the baby.
The night shoots were hard to get much out of. The crew was being unreasonable, abusing their "power" (they have little to none...but the Richmond RCMP let them act like they did) so they had the fans actually standing SO FAR AWAY from where they were filming, there was literally nothing at all to be seen of the scene, from any of the angles where they were making everyone stand.
Of course, I am not much for just accepting such absurd demands. So I did wander around, till I found a spot that helped me at least see part of the scene for awhile and helped me manage to get some shots of the scene.
It was scenes with Marian (Christie Laing) out in Grannys Diners front yard yelling about what a monster Regina ( Lana Parrilla) is to a group of onlookers that included the Evil Queen herself. Robin Hood (Sean Maguire), Roland ( Raphael Alejandro) Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue), David & Mary (Josh Dallas and Ginnifer Goodwin ..as well as a baby), Emma (Jennifer Morrison), Henry (Jared Gilmore), Leroy & Walter (Lee Arenberg and Faustino Di Bauda) were all on set for these scenes at various points.
A later scene saw Regina storm off throught the main street of Storybrooke after the altercation ended. What was the Evil Queens reaction to the verbal attack? Not too sure. The only audio that anyone could pick up was when Marian was yelling.
All the scenes in the courtyard were partially or fully blocking most of the cast with crew, equipment and shrubbery. So there was not a lot that you could see at once.
The 1st night, no cast came over to meet fans. Much to the chagrin of the couple dozen die hards that waited till 12:30 AM. But Lana Parrilla (on her birthday) did tell them she would be back there tomorrow. Sure enough, next night the majority of those that waited (some did not, because they waited near the barricades where they thought the security people would bring her over to) got to meet Lana when she stood around in front of the set and met with fans before security rushed her off while she was still talking and holding a fans hand.
Georgina Haig also had a night shoot scene, but those pics will be part of the Elsa blog post coming up in the next week or so.

. LAST WARNING
On the second day of filming in Steveston, BC. The Storybrooke residents were dealing with the aftermath of the fallout of season 1.
The streets of Storybrooke looked like a hurricane had ripped thru the small fictional Maine town.
A couple scenes were seen being filmed while I was there. First up Josh Dallas (David/Charming) chased Sebatstian Stan (Jefferson/Mad Hatter) thru the street as Meghan Ory (Ruby/Red Riding Hood) stops him to tell him that Regina is at the root of all the problems there are right now (I am hiding a spoiler that was said in the scene as a courtesy to the show who did state they are displeased with how many big spoilers seem to spill out).
Later, a scene at the hardware store saw the 7 dwarves saw Lee Arenberg (Leroy/Grumpy), David Paul-Grove (Doc), another actor (Happy), Faustina Di Bauda (Sleepy), Mig Macario (Bashful), Jeffrey Kaiser (Dopey) leave the hardware store with a variety of construction materials, as they cross paths with Gabe Khouth (Mr. Clark/Sneezy) who seemed to be not partaking in the groups plan. the group of 6 dwarves goes 1 way as Sneezy stands on a corner watching them head off to work.
Several cast members thru the day came over & met with fans. the biggest being when Josh Dallas and Meghan Ory did a meet & greet in the garage area.
As well, Raphael Sbarge (Jiminy Cricket/Dr. Hopper) also was seen meeting fans, including the wiener dog from the day before that Josh Dallas met, Emma. Emma, an avid licker of faces, decided to take a taste of the doc, Raphael was a terrific sport about it. I caught it frame by frame below. Quite entertaining.
Below are some pics of the set, filming, and of course interactions with the fans... including, my 1st pics of Sebastian Stan on set.
