If I see you posting most or all the photos, I will have them removed. I caught up with the Once Upon A Time cast and crew in Steveston early last month. As you may have seen in my earlier blog posts on this final shoot in the shows long time home of Steveston, there were other scenes shot throughout the two days they were there. You can find those HERE and HERE You can also see Lana Parrilla give a goodbye speech to the fans HERE In this particular scene we find one of only two characters to be a regular from the start to the end, Lana Parrilla doing a scene with Rebecca Mader to film the very final scene the show would ever film in Steveston that had any cast. The scene saw Regina and Zelena having a chat in Reginas car, before the paid drive off together. There wasnt much to tell from the scene obviously since we were held a couple hundred feet back. After the shoot, both stars came over to a patient & growing crowd of die hard fans at around 9 PM on their final night of on location shooting & met with every single fan there till no one was left. I patiently waited in the area I had used for much of the 7 years to meet cast at the side of Grannys. Once they were done with the fans, they came towards me. Lana came by first, and "hi John" to me as she got close, and calmly signed all the photos I had for her there as she often would. I thanked her for her years here, and wished her luck on whatever project she gets next and she said thanks and got into her transportation vehicle as Rebecca walked towards me. She as well signed what I had for her, making her the last cast member I would get while they were filming in Vancouver. With that, this is a wrap for me too on new photos of the Once Upon A Time set. Perhaps I might sometime down the road do a couple "look back" posts with some old photos, but for now, with the exception of a couple videos from the finale to still post, this is it for me. While there has been more than a few problematic fans over the years that give temporary sour impressions of the fans of the show, for the most part, I found most of you to be good people. While I am thrilled the show is done, I also will miss it. It is the longest show I have ever covered from Pilot (a little look back at that with Jennifer Morrison and Jared Gilmore) to Finale. Once Upon A Time is airing the final season on ABC right now, every Friday night till the series finale on May 18, 2018. If I see you posting most or all the photos, I will have them removed. I caught up with the Once Upon A Time cast and crew in Steveston earlier this month. As I reported in my first blog post on this weeks shoots, I had lost a few photos from those days... but thankfully, not all of them. In this set, we see Rebecca Mader as Zelena interacting with season 7 stars Rose Reynolds and Tiera Skovbye as Alice & Margot in Storybrooke. Why are the two girls from Seattle in Storybrooke? Guess we'll have to wait & see. The scene had the pair come up to Zelena as she was about to get into Reginas car. They then have a lengthy talk (about what? I dont know). During a break, I ran into Rose in the little area that for 7 seasons I obtained a LOT of autographs from, the side of Grannys Diner where the show would pick up & drop off cast over the years. After having failed on no less than 3 previous attempts to get Rose for various reasons, the security team told her I was over there, and she walked over with Tiera and introduced herself and signed my items for me. Tiera then stood there waiting to sign for me, and I had to tell her that I didnt have my items for her, because she does doubler duty in this town and I still had her in my other shows folder for Riverdale. Tiera then told me "shes going to hold this over me forever" as she looked at Rose before the pair left to go back to set. This wouldnt be my last autograph at the Once Upon A Time set, but it was the last cast member I would get for the first time. After filming the scenes, Rose & Tiera went over to meet fans & take photos & sign autographs while Rebecca left to get ready for hers, and the shows final scene in Steveston with the cast of the show ever. I will have a blog post on that in the coming days. Plus video of some of the scenes, including this one. During one of the takes Lana Parrilla showed up to set. She stayed around for one take, then left back to the trailers to get ready for her own scene later that evening.
I could not help but just stare at her jacket. I definitely know I wouldnt be able to pull it off. But the Evil Queen can pretty much get away with whatever she wants. SO MUCH GOLD! I also ran into Emma Swans VW Bug just parked. It was sitting near the productions craft services area. Windows blacked out. That was the closest anyone would get to seeing Emma in Storybrooke that day. Once Upon A Time is airing the final season on ABC right now, every Friday night till the series finale on May 18, 2018. Once Upon A Time shoots a scene fir episode 619 with Lana Parrilla, Jaime Murray & Rebecca Mader2/25/2017 THIS POST CONTAINS POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR "ONCE UPON A TIME" EPISODE 619. If you have not seen this episode & want to avoid possible spoilers form it, do not continue reading the article or viewing the photos below . . . last warning . . Once Upon A Time was back in Steveston on Tuesday filming some scenes for two episodes. Mostly it was for episode 619, but they also did 1 scene for 620 later in the day. They started the day shooting a scene with 3 people. Rebecca Mader (who was out of sight the whole scene.... so I never got a photo of her) Lana Parrilla as Regina Mills and Jaime Murray as the Black Fairy. The scene seemed to see the pair squaring off in the midddle of the street, sizing each other up. At one point you hear Bex yell "Regina", and in a later scene after the 3 actresses had wrapped, the Black Fairy stunt double did a scene where she is thrown through the air. This is the second blog of this days shoot since it finished 2nd in my twitter vote on which one to do 1st. You can find the 620 blog with Colin O'Donoghue HERE and the blog with Emilie de Ravin, Robert Carlyle and Jennifer Morrison HERE You can catch Once Upon A Time on Sunday nights on ABC in the U.S. and on CTV in Canada. If you have not seen this episode and do not want to see or read about possible spoilers, do not continue reading or viewing the photos. . . . last warning . . As I stated in my other blog post with that big spoiler, there was also a scene shot on November 11, 2016 with some other cast. Most notably the return of Sean Maguire as Robin Hood (which his return to the show of course, isnt a spoiler since everyone already knows this) to Steveston for a shoot, that also included Lana Parrilla as Regina Mills and Will Traval as "Keith" (Sheriff Of Nottingham). They first showed up to do a rehearsal for the scene. Sean & Will arrived together, and worked thru their part of the scene, then with Lana arriving awhile later dressed like she was enduring a real Canadian winter day, even though it was about 10-12C out... I cant even imagine how she must be dressing THIS week, with temperatures at night dipping down to -10. After rehearsals, they left to get ready for their shoot. After a lunch break, the cast came back to shoot the scene. They broke it down into various sections, but the scene essentially plays out like this. Keith walks down the street, Robin sees him and shoots an arrow at him. Not sure if it hits Keith, or he catches it, but that doesnt stop Robin who then storms across the street and punches out Keith with 1 punch. Keith goes down and Robin attaks further, eventually getting ontop of him with a knife to his throat, he is about to kill Keith when Regina runs down the street to stop him. She tells him this isnt who he is, and Robin gets up, giving Keith a chance to flee and angrily argues with Regina, before the pair turn around and leave together down the street. Now I fully admit, I dont watch the show anymore. So I dont know what grudge Robin has with Keith, but his intention was to kill Keith before Regina intervened. During the start of the scene, Lana was often found standing around out of site of fans around a corner waiting to do her part. Sean Maguire made his big return to Steveston with a front & centre spot in this scene as he was in every part of the scene. During breaks later in the afternoon, he constantly would look up as massive flocks of geese that were leaving town for the winter. They were quite noisy, but his reaction to them seemed more like someone thats never seen it before. I could have probably done an entire blog on various facial expressions of Sean on this day. I dont know if I have seen someone whos face portrays so many different looks in a day since maybe Joshua Jackson on the Fringe set. At the end of the shoot, Sean & will came over & spent several minutes with the fans, taking photos and signing autographs. Oh, right.... yeah, forgot. You Outlaw Queen fans probably wanted to see Lana & Sean together on set. Right? Theres a few pics of that too...
Once Upon A Time airs Sunday nights on ABC in the U.S. and on CTV in Canada. They return for the 2nd half of season 6 March 2016. You can see all my BTS Once Upon A Time set blogs HERE (starting in season 2) and my early OUAT blogs from season 1 HERE you can see all the autographs of the cast we have HERE THIS BLOG POST IS FOR EPISODE 608 OF "ONCE UPON A TIME". If you have not seen this episode & do not want to read or view possible spoilers to it, do not continue reading or viewing the photos. . . . last warning . . Once Upon A Time shot a scene for episode 608 in Richmond not far from their usual "downtown Storybrooke" location in Steveston. In this scene, there was Jared Gilmore as Henry Mills, Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan, Lana Parrilla as the Evil Queen and Lanas stand in as Regina Mills. The scene started with the Evil Queen & Henry talking before Henry walks away. Shortly after Emma and Regina confront the EQ, and Regina holds out a mirror while EQ also holds out a mirror. During 1 of the breaks while they were changing the angles, Lana took her dog Lola for a walk around the beach before stopping on a log and just hanging out with her for a few minutes before she had to get back to work. After this scene wrapped, this did another scene with Colin O'Donoghue & the stand in dressed as Regina. It was SUPPOSED to have Lana there as well dressed as Regina, but the time it took her to get changed out of EQ gear & into Regina gear was going to apparently take too long & they were already behind schedule, so they just had her double do the scene. A bit later I went to Steveston for a bit. I caught a couple takes of David Paul Grove as Doc shooting a scene where he gets into a car & checks himself in a mirror. Shortly after that I called it a day with lots of filming still to happen as I had a long day up to that point already. Once Upon A Time airs Sundays on ABC in the U.S. and on CTV in Canada. You can view other BTS photos from years past in our Once Upon A Time Blog section. You can also look for OUAT autographs in the Once Upon A Time Autographs section. THIS BLOG POST IS FOR EPISODE 601 OF "ONCE UPON A TIME". If you have not seen this episode and do not want to read or view possible spoiler photos from it prior to seeing it, please do not continue reading or viewing the photos below. . . . last warning . . Once Upon A Time shot several scenes in Steveston on their first Steveston location day of Season 6. The day started with a scene in an area of the small little village that they had, to the best of my knowledge, never filmed at prior. Lana Parrilla and Ginnifer Goodwin shot a scene before the rest of the cast arrived for filming. The scene was in the park at the far end of the village earlier in the day before they moved to the regular area of Steveston that they used where the pair were joined by a lot more cast. Josh Dallas, Jennifer Morrison, Colin O'Donoghue, Jared Gilmore, Raphael Sbarge, Hank Harris and Beverley Elliott joined the pair in doing a scene around Grannys Diner. View of the scene was pretty limited, all I can tell you about it is the group (not sure if it was all of them or not) go running up to Grannys led by Jared, as he gets to the edge of the gate of the courtyard outside of Grannys he turns back to the group & yells "Mom" or "Moms" and Jen & Lana arrive, with the rest of the crowd shortly after, they then go into the courtyard at Grannys as a group. After this scene, some of the cast wrapped for the day, while others prepared to get ready for more scenes later. Colin, Raphael, Beverley & Hank came over to the large crowd of 100+ people & took photos & signed autographs till they were overwhelmed by the continually more aggressive crowds this show has managed over the past couple years. Below are some solo photos of the cast during this part of the days shooting. To see my past OUAT blog posts, including for this episode check my Once Upon A Time Blog section. Once Upon A Time season 6 will begin September 25 , 2016 on ABC in the U.S. and on CTV in Canada. Episode 601, directed by frequent OUAT director Eagle Egilsson titled "The Saviour". The day started with a scene in an area of the small little village that they had, to the best of my knowledge, never filmed at prior. Lana Parrilla and Ginnifer Goodwin shot a scene in the park at the far end of the village. Despite its quite well hidden from the general footpath traffic of the main "Storybrooke" set of Moncton Street, a crowd of about 75 people showed up to watch this early scene. The scene had the pair talking in front of Reginas vault before they turn around and leave together. Question is.... what is it that they were talking about? I can tell you, it has something to do with Regina telling Snow something about Zelena. What that isexactly, I cant say. After that shoot, the crew made the move to the shows "regular" locations in Steveston along Moncton Street. There will be more blog posts containing photos of those scenes coming up later on. Once Upon A Time season 6 will begin September 25 , 2016 on ABC in the U.S. and on CTV in Canada. You can see all our previous Once blogs HERE and all our Once autographs HERE |
