Too many people in the last season & a bit have got comfortable with just posting ALL the photos & thus eliminating traffic from coming here. If you want these updates to continue this season, this has to STOP. I will be aggressively reporting those who opt to ignore this info from here on out for DMCA notices, or more. The cast & crew shot scenes for season 4 episode 1 today at a spot I have seen filming at before. They were using an apartment building that any Fringe fan would know from the episode where Walter ends up in a pocket universe. The day started with the crew & about 70 background people shooting scenes for a vigil. I posted a couple photos below of the poster the attendees were holding. Not sure who it is.... if you do, feel free to inform me. After that, they shot a scene with Melissa Benoist dressed up as Kara Danvers, shooting a scene with cast newcomer Nicole Maines as Nia Nal. As far as I know, this was the first public shoot for Nicole, who gained major attention when they landed the role, as Nicole is a transgender person playing a transgender role. The scene had the pair arriving together at the apartment for what felt like a party by how others were dressed going in there. Nia was carrying a camera with her. Is Nia also a reporter? After a few scenes of that, they moved fully into the courtyard tey were filming in, so I moved on as there was nothing to see anymore. More photos will come soon... but for now, here is your first look at Nicole Maines on set of Supergirl. Supergirl shoots a scene for episode 401 with Melissa Benoist and Mehcad Brooks - PICS AND VIDEO8/29/2018 THIS BLOG POST IS FOR SUPERGIRL SEASON 4 EPISODE 1 AND MAY CONTAIN POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR THE EPISODE. Earlier this month, the cast & crew shot scenes for season 4 episode 1 at the Vancouver Art Gallery (just across the street in fact from where they shot some of the season 3 finale). As I stated in my earlier blog post here, I had more photos and another video (along with the 3 posted HERE ) from a different scene shot on that day. This scene had Melissa Benoist dressed as her non Supergirl character Kara Danvers. She was joined by Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen. The pair were shooting a scene where they were at a press conference for ... someone? It is believed that it was supposed to be for President Olivia Marsdin (played by former Wonder Woman actress Lynda Carder), but all they had was a different woman dressed similar to her up on the stage all day. Perhaps they will shoot a different angle of it in studio when Lynda can be there? But it seemed off that Kara and other reporters were asking this random person questions while she stood at a POTUS stand. Kara comes running up from a news truck, hands James a bottle of vodka, and proceeds to ask questions to the person there. Not much else happened in the scene, there was no superhero moments. They eventually wrapped that scene, and had Melissa leave for a wardrobe change for the scene that was from that last blog post linked above. Enjoy the photos below, and the video below that. Supergirl was shooting scenes for season 4 premiere in downtown Vancouver earlier this month. In the scenes below you see Melissa Benoist as Supergirl, this was her first public shoot as the Girl Of Steel since returning from Broadway. She was joined by Jesse Rath as Brainiac 5. As promised in this blog post ... here some video from this days shoot. Here is another video from the shoot with Supergirl & Brainiac 5, as he watches her fly off into the sky. Last but not least, 1 more take from the day. In this one, you see Melissa make a mistake, and break out laughing, but Jesse tries to work through it, and follows through completing the scene. I still have photos, and another video to post from this days shoot form an earlier scene where Melissa was dressed as Kara on set with Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen. I will try to get those up soon, as I will be leaving town for a couple weeks and by the time I return... it will almost be season premiere time. Early today, the cast & crew shot scenes for season 4 episode 1 at the Vancouver Art Gallery (just across the street in fact from where they shot some of the season 3 finale). On set today was Melissa Benoist, Jesse Rath and Mehcad Brooks. This post is going to focus on the later scene with Melissa & Jesse. (the earlier scene photos will be added later). The scene featured here included Melissa Benoist dressed up as her lead character Supergirl. This was the first time for Melissa to be on set as the Woman Of Steel this season in public. After a lengthy Broadway run that saw her not return to the show till a few weeks into the shows filming schedule, she had some catching up to do. Today Supergirl was filming a scene with Jesse Rath as Brainiac 5 where she lands in a crater, before getting up, speaking to Brainy for a moment & then flying away again as Brainy & spectators look on There was another scene a bit later that saw Supergirl handing a balloon to a girl who had her balloon float away from her. They then went inside to shoot scenes inside the Vancouver Art Gallery. Also on set today, was David Harewood. But not to film as Martian Manhunter or J'onn J'onzz, but to shadow the director so he can get the hang of how to direct for an episode he'll direct later this season. When I have even MORE time, there will be a bit of video from todays shoot to add as well. Back in early May, they shot scenes for the season 3 finale at the Vancouver Art Gallery (just across the street in fact from where they shot some of the season 2 finale). On set at this location (they actually had two locations going on at once on this day) was a notable portion of the cast. Melissa Benoist as Supergirl, Mehcad Brooks as The Guardian, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers, Chris Wood as Mon El, Amy Jackson as Saturn Girl and Erica Durance as Alura Zor El. You can see still photos from this shoot HERE, or the other shoot that day HERE Below is a quick video from this shoot of them doing 1 of the takes. I will have 2 more videos form this set to post, if there is enough traffic to justify editing it. If there isnt, I might post them on my youtube channel sometime down the road. But it wont be any time soon. If you have not seen the episode, and do not want to see or read possible spoilers about it prior to seeing it, do not continue reading the article or viewing the photos below. . . . last warning . . Back in early May, I found the Supergirl cast & crew shooting some scenes at the Vancouver Art Gallery in downtown Vancouver. Just across the street from where they shot the season 2 finale scenes I posted last year in fact. Of course, Canadagraphs was on the scene to get you these shots. As I posted in my earlier blog post here, many of the cast were ons et this day. In the mid day-scenes they had Melissa Benoist as Supergirl, , Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers, Chris Wood as Mon El, Erica Durance as Alura Zor El, and Mehcad Brooks double as The Guardian. Only differences in cast from the early morning shoot were Amy Jackson, as she wrapped her role on the series after that early morning scene, and Mehcad Brooks, who was no longer working at this location for some reason, despite the fact his character was still there. The scene seemed to be a follow up to the morning scene. Where the earlier scene had people running around in a panic as the heroes showed up, this scene had the crowd stop to give them a round of applause for what I can only assume is saving the day. I managed to nab autographs from Amy Jackson as she left, Chyler Leigh and Erica Durance. Of course, Melissa & Chris, didnt stop for anyone., while Mehcad managed to make a clean exit of the set when leaving without anyone but a couple regulars noticing. There was another scene shot even later, after I left. But it had been a long enough day for me. So I called it a day after this. What do all these scenes mean for the finale? Who knows? Do they have any impact on who is & isnt coming back for season 4? Who knows? Does it explain in any way how they will film the first couple episodes without Melissa? Hard to say. Supergirl will start ups eason 4 production in approximately 3 weeks, but the shows star will not be around for the beginning, as she is doing a Broadway play till early/mid August. Melissa Benoist as Supergirl, Mehcad Brooks as The Guardian, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers, Chris Wood as Mon El, Amy Jackson as Saturn Girl and Erica Durance as Alura Zor El. The scene didnt really explain a lot. It seemed as if the scene was mostly Supergirl, Mon El, Saturn Girl and Alura arriving at a scene of chaos with Alex & The Guardian meeting up with them a couple seconds later, seemingly already on the scene. A little while later, they did a scene where it seemed like Supergirl was flying away, but they only did a couple takes of that one. The one thing that was clear, they were all there looking at something they were not happy about. In a later scene, most of these cast, minus Amy Jackson & Mehcad (although his double shot the scene) did more shooting. I will have a post on that scene later on this week.
