Psych shoots a couple scenes in Steveston for Psych The Movie with most of the main & secondary cast6/18/2017 THIS POST IS ABOUT THE USA NETWORK "PSYCH THE MOVIE" SPECIAL COMING FOR DECEMBER 2017. If you have not yet seen this, and dont want to see or read potential spoilers before you do, then DO NOT continue reading this post, or viewing the photos below. . . . last warning . . Psych shot scenes for their Christmas themed movie Psych The Movie in Steveston in late May with most of the cast, and of course the shows creator, and the movies director, Steve Franks. The cast started arriving for a scene on the docks in a cavalcade of transportation vehicles. Dule Hill, James Roday, Maggie Lawson and Corbin Bernsen were the first cast I saw arriving. The scene seemed to centre mostly around a conversation in the middle of the boardwalk with almost everyone you could imagine that was in town. James, Dule, Maggie, Corbin, Kirsten Nelson, Kurt Fuller, along with guest stars Jazmyn Smith and a couple other guest stars (a younger girl, and a couple of "henchmen dressed" adult males that I never got the names of) were all involved in the scene that seemed to start on a boat as several of the gang seemed to be coming into the port after a harrowing event that saw some of them sporting small cuts & scrapes. Much of the scene takes place with the gang having a long chat with the two henchmen looking guys while a 3rd individual is taken away by cops passing by them. The big "scoop" of this scene which has since then been reported on other sites was, Gus seems to have a new lady in his life. His real life fiance Jazmyn Smith (from Ballers) comes up to him and gives him a bouquet of flowers, and after a brief chat where it looks like gus is scolding her, they share a couple pretty animated make out session level kisses. As this scene was closing in on wrapping, Sage Brocklebank arrived to the set. He wasnt in the scene, but was preparing to do a scene after this scene wrapped & was catching up with crew and cast. After they wrapped the scene on the boardwalk, they moved to a side street just off the boardwalk to film two scenes. The first, an exterior with Sage Brocklebank & the two men from the previous shoot. The scene seemed to just basically be the 3 of them standing around on a corner. Perhaps its an undercover job? Who better than a 6'8 Santa for undercover work, right?
After that scene, they did a scene inside a restaurant with James Roday... I dont know anything about that scene. That was a wrap on this location. Psych The Movie will be on the USA Network this December. Yo can find my Psych autographs in my Vancouver TV Shows Autograph Gallery HERE

Psych films a scene for their Christmas movie Psych The Movie with Maggie Lawson and James Roday.6/7/2017 THIS POST CONTAINS POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR "PSYCH THE MOVIE". If you have not yet seen this movie (coming in December 2017) and dont want to see possible spoilers from it, do not continue reading this article, or viewing the photos below. . . . last warning . . . A couple weeks ago, one of the largest cable dramedy hits ever started production on a TV movie for the USA Network. Psych, the show based around the antics of fake psychic Shawn Spencer started shooting their Christmas themed Psych The Movie special. Being directed by the shows creator Steve Franks, Psych The Movie has been filming here now for a little while, but there hasnt been a lot for the public to see in the last week or more. So heres a little look back at 1 of their first shoots. While several cast were spotted going in & out of the building they shot in on the 2nd day. The only scene that anyone could see was one that had Maggie Lawson (Juliet O'Hara) doing a scene where she is on the phone. Off camera (he was actually laying on the floor of the porch) was James Roday reading the lines off and replying when needed. This scene was on their second day at this location, which was also the 2nd day of filming for this special. Earlier on they filmed out at the Planetarium the day before with James, Dule Hill and guest star Jazmyn Smith from Ballers. Later that evening they moved to Burrard Ironworks building for a shoot. The second day was all at Ironworks, with Kirsten Nelson, Corbin Bernsen and Dule Hill also being seen at the location along with Maggie & James. Of course, the only main cast member not seen was Timothy Omundson, as he is still recuperating from a stroke he suffered just weeks before shooting began. From what I have been told from someone high up in the decision making circle of the production, he will not be able to come to Vancouver to film for medical clearance reasons.... so they will have to film his scenes at a later date closer to his home. Psych The Movie will air this winter, around Christmas. It will be on the USA Network To see my behind the scene photos and videos from Psych when it filmed the TV series here. You can find them HERE (season 7 & 8... sorry nothing from 6 and prior) You can find my Psych autographs in my gallery HERE. THIS BLOG POST CONTAINS PHOTOS AND A WRITE UP FOR THE SEASON 3 FINALE OF THE CW HIT SCI-FI POLICE DRAMA SHOW "IZOMBIE". If you do not want to read or see any possible spoilers prior to the episode airing, Do not continue on with this article. . . . last warning . . For the 3rd consecutive year, I caught iZombie filming scenes for their season finale. For the 3rd consecutive year, it included Robert Buckley at the set. Its weird for a guy who probably is 3rd or 4th in screen time, I always catch up to him in the finale filming. On this day, in early January, just after their winter break, the cast, and crew were in a snow covered Oppenheimer Park in the Downtown Eastside immediate across the street from where I used to live to film scenes for the season finale, directed by Dan Etheridge. Since episode 12 is titled "Looking For Mr Goodbrain Part I", I am going out on a limb here, assuming this will be "Part II" but I dont know that for sure. Of course, the prior times being the season 1 finale scene when he blows up Meat Cute Then last year when he, Rose, Rahul and Malcolm shot scenes at the Vancouver Art Gallery for the Major getting arrested and released scenes. This time Robert, as Major Lilywhite was on set shooting a scene as a member of the Fillmore Graves team. He was in Oppenheimer Park handing out what seemed to be zombie rations to a horde of zombies that seem to be patiently waiting for their rations. While that scene was shooting, I also was Bryce Hodgson as Don E. shooting a few feet away with scenes where he seemed to be running thru asking zombies there if they wanted to try samples of what looked like candies, but we all know whats in them obviously. In a different "I always seem to catch" scenario... I have seen Bryce twice in my life now. Once at this set, and once while he was shooting The Killing, (in fact I didnt even know his name yet when I wrote the post) literally 1/2 block from that location. Pretty random to catch someone filming in practically the same locale twice on 2 different shows several years apart. After shooting those scenes, they then shot one more scene.... one that really makes you wonder what & where the show might go with season 4 since this is clearly the finale..... an angry mob of humans storms the Fillmore Graves vehicles armed with bats, pitchforks & anything else they can manage.... how does Fillmore Graves react to this??? Well, I cat tell you that.... because I didnt see it. iZombie airs on Tuesday nights on The CW. You can find my iZombie autographs gallery HERE Lucifer shoots a scene with Tom Ellis and Lesley Ann Brandt for episode 217 Sympathy For The Goddess6/2/2017 Even though the episode has already aired, thought some of you would like to still see the Behind The Scene photos from the Fox show Lucifer filming scenes for episode 217 "Sympathy For The Goddess" that took place in January.
Of course, these are from the big fight scene that Maze (Lesley Ann Brandt) and Lucifer (Tom Ellis) had in the episode. Something I found from this set that you dont get too often in Vancouver, a fairly unwelcoming crew. This was my 4th time at a Lucifer set over their two seasons, and it was at least the 3rd time I ran into crew members trying to go above and beyond jobs they actually are supposed to be doing for no good reason.... as shown below with crew holding up umbrellas and a scrim just for the hell of it to try and block the view. Despite there being no less than 5 angles to watch this scene from, they decided to stand there all together trying to block me..... as you can see, they did a pretty bang up job .... not. Lucifer airs on Monday nights on FOX. You can see my Lucifer autograph gallery HERE |
