If you are confused on how many you can post, ASK FIRST, and I will let you know. The cast & crew of Legends Of Tomorrow were filming earlier this week for episode 7x11, with cast member Jes Macallan directing, in the often used park just past the Vancouver border on the Burnaby side, Central Park. This is a common filming location for shows when they need a foresty looking set, but dont want to go to a full on forest. But on this day, the Legends were filming in a spot they had filmed at the last time I caught them in this park, an open field in between the forested parts. On this day, they were filming with 1 of the cast I saw there on that last set I was at this park for, Nick Zano, but instead of being Nate Heywood this time, he was in his Citizen Steele costume, with some uhhh arm upgrades? Joining him was Shayan Sobhian as Behrad Tarazi, as well as Caity Lotz in her rarely seen on set White Canary outfit. Now I am not one to ever post speculations in my posts. But I have seen many already doing it based off my preview photos from my Patreon. All I will say is, the Legends seemed a tad different on this day. The scene seemed to centre around a villain of the week looking guy, who seemed to have some type of long nails or something coming form his hands, a deformed face, and at one point seemed to be weilding something that could have been an ax? Then Nate confronts him as he raises his ax, and seems to punch him in the stomach, as the villain crumples to the ground, Nate shakes his hand off, then White Canary comes in, does a spin and produces some throwing stars. Behrad also seemed a little off, as he is standing there holding a big rifle. That was the only scene I saw them shoot on this day, but they did have a couple more hours of filming to do after I left. I also saw Adam Tsekhman there, but not on set, so he may have been getting ready to work on a later scene, or perhaps had just wrapped one before I got there. You can now get exclusive first looks on our Patreon ahead of these blog posts for as little as $1 a month for photos, and $5 a month for videos. I do have some set video. It will end up on Patreon soon, and in the next few weeks weeks on my youtube channel, so come back to find those then, or you can subscribe to my Youtube channel and get notified there when they drop. Also, sadly, never saw Beebo at set. Man he is elusive. Legends Of Tomorrow airs on Tuesdays on The CW. LEGENDS OF TOMORROW set photos for season 6 - Nick Zano, Jes Macallan and Dominic Purcell on set.1/14/2021
THIS BLOG POST IS FOR A "LEGENDS OF TOMORROW" SEASON 6 EPISODE #unknown, AND MAY CONTAIN POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR THE SEASON.
If you have not seen the episode, and do not want to see or read possible spoilers about it prior to seeing it, do not continue reading the article or viewing the photos below. . . . last warning . . . PLEASE NOTE - Photo limits are in place for website use/social media posts. THERE IS NEW LIMITS IN PLACE AS OF JANUARY 1, 2021.... SO CHECK THOSE OUT. If you are confused on how many you can post, ASK FIRST, and I will let you know. The cast & crew of Legends Of Tomorrow was filming earlier this week at Central Park, in Burnaby. It is a frequently used location for shows. From Arrow, to The Flash, to Once Upon A Time, and many more have all used it repeatedly, along with Legends themselves. There was 2 scenes shot there today. One I did not wait around for later in the afternoon, as the weather was awful, and there wasnt somewhere to sit down, stay dry and wait. So I just watched them shoot some of the first scene, then left. But another local saw some of the 2nd scene shot. So here is 1 of their posts from that set. Here is a short clip she shot, she also has a few photos on her IG from it too if you go there. But I chose this post to show. It has Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory, walking with Jes Macallan as Ava Sharpe doing a scene with apparently some armed troopers following behind them.
For the scene I shot, they had Nick Zano as Nate Heywood, and Jes Macallan as Ava Sharpe shooting a scene.
They shot this scene from a couple different angles, which is why in some photos it appears I am behind them, even though I never went anywhere. They do this sometimes when they want a particular view for the wider shot, but then, for the closer shots, they maybe want/need something different. So in the scene, the pair are walking through a large grass field (which by the way was only slightly more solid than a swamp from all the rain, they had to use 100s of boards to create walk ways for the equipment to get out there) looking for something, when Nate slows down, and Ava walks forward. Eventually Ava finds what they are looking for when she its it head first. She then checks her head for a second, as the pair realize they have found the invisible thing they are looking for, and eventually back away from it, before looking up in the sky, as if they are watching it take off. What is the invisible thing they were looking for? Nate has some device in his hand that he seems to be using to help them in this search. The Waverider? An alien ship? As I said about how gross the field was, in 1 take, Jes lost a shoe, as it got sucked into the mud, and she continued on with the take balancing on 1 foot till they called cut. Then held on to Nick for balance till an assistant could get her show back to her. I have seen scenes cut for far less than that, but to the credit of Jes, she powered through it and did everything she could to make it possibly work. This scene was still going on when I decided to leave. Like I said, it was a gross gross day out there. So this was all I had to offer you from this set... but I have added in some of the other stuff I photographed there that day..... mainly some ducks & squirrels or chipmunks (I still dont know the difference, despite being told dozens of times, and am too lazy to check now despite being on the internet). Legends Of Tomorrow will return for season 6 in later 2021. The cast & crew of DC's Legends Of Tomorrow were on location for the 1st episode of the season last week in the Gastown area of downtown Vancouver. This was of course the first location shoot for the show since returnign to film after the entire industry shut down in March for COVID-19. Legends was lucky enough to evade the pitfalls of having to shut down mid-season, but like everyone else, had their new seasons filming delayed until October. In the prolonged off season, a few notable things happened with Legends, from Shayan Sobhian and Olivia Swann getting bumped to regulars, to Maisie Richardson Sellers announcing her departure, to co-lead Dominic Purcell announcing he contracted the deadly COVID-19 back in June. On set this day, the cast consisted of Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory, Tala Ashe as Zari 2.0, Matt Ryan as John Constintine, Olivia Swann as Astra Logue, Jes Macallan as Ava Sharpe, and Shayan Sobhian as Behrad Tarazi. The opening scene saw the cast, minus Shayan go out in a downpour to do rehearsals. By the time they came back out to shoot the scene, the weather had tapered off enough that it was at times completely dry, and rarely more than a soft sprinkle. The scene seemed to be a continuation from the season finale, as all the characters were still wearing their wardrobes from the final scene of the finale.... except now, it was daytime, where as the season ended at night. The group is walking down the street together, while Astra is appearing to be counting something that I can only assume is supposed to be a currency of some type. After that scene, they shot a scene with just Shayan, and a man dressed as a British Queens Guard. Behrad has some type of food item in his hand, and converses (well, talks to the guard) while eating, before turning away & leaving there. The final public scene they shot had the group from the 1st scene, run into Behrad, and the group then have a conversation with the 5 standing on 1 side, Behrad on the other. Shortly after that scene, they wrapped that location & moved the entire production 2 blocks up the street to the often used Burrard Ironworks building, whic is easily 1 of the 10 most commonly used buildings in Vancouver filming. Unfortunately, its almost always interior shoots there, so I cant really say what happened in those scenes. But it is generally used to represent small bars, as it has a lounge on the lower floor, or interiors of an apartment/loft on the upper floor. This was also my 1st chance this season to interact with any cast at a set. I learned quickly that while some shows are being more loose with what can & cant happen, the Legends Covid officer was pretty stern about the cast cant interact with fans. Which makes sense when you take into consideration one of their leads contracted it earlier this summer. UPDATE: October 23, 2020 - video added at the bottom Legends Of Tomorrow will return for season 6 in later 2021. The cast & crew of DC's Legends Of Tomorrow was on location for the 4th episode of the season earlier this week at the Vancouver Art Gallery in downtown Vancouver. The episode is being directed by Avi Youabian, Arrowverse fans would know Avi from directing last seasons Arrow episode "Spartan". A few cast were on set through out the day including Tala Ashe as Zari Tarazi (wasnt her last name different before?), Jes Macallan as Ava Sharpe, Nick Zano as Nate Heywood and Shayan Sobhian as Behrad Tarazi. In the early scene of the day, Zari was shooting scenes with a couple other actors. The scene had Zari at a red carpet/party event for a perfume called "Dragonesque" in New York City in the year 2044. Whether Zari is a spokesperson for it, or what, was a bit unclear, but it did seem she was focal to the brand in some way. She had an assistant, which was a case of the Legends Of Tomorrow writers over the top hit you over the head with obviousness named Les-Lay (yes, spelled that way). Les-Lay finds Zari on the carpet, and tells her how shes been keeping Zaris social media account on "Cat-Chat" updated with a pic of a cat licking her perfume (really hope there is another Zaricat appearance connected to all of this). They did a scene with another guy dressed in an all white suit, with a gold chain who was wearing a s'mores mask. Why?? Because Legends sometimes Legends. The character, titled DJ S'more Money (of course he is) comes up, chats to the two, before he leaves with Les-Lay, then Zari follows along. Zari was holding a bottle of the perfume in the shoot that is connected to a character that will be featured in the episode, Marie Antoinette. After that shoot, they moved over to a red carpet photo pit set up where Zari, DJ & others were on the carpet. Between the photogs for the scene, and some unfortunately placed plants by the Art Gallery, the scene was only partly seen. What was known was that DJ proposes to Zari before spilling her perfume all over her, which ends with the group of reporters & party guests chasing Zari for some reason in an obsessive psycho fan style. A couple more scenes were shot with Zari being chased around the party by party guests. In between filming that, the crew and the other cast would take breaks in filming those scenes to prep for later scenes that I didnt stick around for (it was hot, and I was tired & made the mistake to go home for a "nap" that turned into a 6 hr sleep) with Ava, Behrad and Nate standing up on the staircase at the VAG and it seems like Ava tells the guys to head off in different directions in a clear effort to look for something. Then there was a scene that had just Ava standing on the edge of the fountain (clearly connected to a scene done with Zari later). Although I wasnt there for the evening scenes, I have some input on what they entailed. There was a scene shot at one point with Ava & Zari jumping into a fountain. In the scene Ava tells Zari to trust her, so it seems for some reason Zari doesnt know who Ava is at this time. But Zari follows her, and the pair jump into a fountain. There was also a scene a bit later I did not see where Nate punches out DJ S'more Money for something. I do kind of wish I had been there for whatever that scene was. Sometime in the next little while (assuming schedule doesnt get busy) I might have a bit of video of a couple of these scenes to add. So check back here in a couple weeks, or follow me on twitter for updates on when that is posted. Other details I found out from being there was, in this episode Astra is trying to kill John Constantine. Roy & Nora are still around as of episode 504. In episode 505, we will apparently see Prince Charles. Legends Of Tomorrow will return for season 5 in January 2020. |
