Ioan Gruffudd "Forever" wins the Best Sci-Fi or Fantasy Actor award in his first year being nominated. He is also wins the award with the least episodes in a calendar year, with only 11 episodes airing in 2015. Gruffudd plays the immortal medical examiner Henry Morgan who doesnt just investigate the deaths, but is looking for answers to his own immortality. If ABC doesnt bring back the currently canceled series, Gruffudd may make another piece of history as the only actor to win a major acting award on this site for a series that only ran 1 season. This years runner up is 4X winner Jensen Ackles "Supernatural". The 2014,13,11,10 winner seemed like he was going to take this title again in the early days of voting, but eventually got passed by in the final few days. Jared Padalecki "Supernatural" was 3rd tying his best finish in 2011. Grant Gustin "The Flash" was last years runner up, finished 4th this year in his 2nd finals. Christian Kane "The Librarians" in his 1st finals in this category finished 5th. Peter Capaldi "Doctor Who" last years 3rd place finisher, was 6th this year. Despite the show winning several Recurring Actress awards in the past, this was the 1st chance for the most decorated show in these awards to win an award in the main actress category. Connell brought the double crossing mother of the King Of Hell, Rowena to life this past couple seasons. Ruth hit another impressive mark in 2015, the most episodes by any actress on SPN when she passed Genevieve Padalecki for that honour. Hayley Atwell "Agent Carter" came on late in the voting to nab 2nd. Eliza Taylor "The 100" had an early lead, but momentum stalled after a couple days & eventually finished 3rd. Rebecca Romijn "The Librarians" narrowly finshed 4th ahead of Lana Parrilla "Once Upon A Time" in 5th. Last years winner Jenna Coleman "Doctor Who" ended up 6th this year in a tie with Melissa McBride "The Walking Dead". Glee, the musical comedy about the kids of a fictional high school in Ohio starring Jane Lynch, Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, Darren Criss, Kevin McHale, Matthew Morrison, Dot Marie Jones and Chord Overstreet, wins Best Comedy Program in its last year of eligibility for the award. Despite winning 3 acting awards (Chris Colfer 2013, 2015, Lea Michele 2015), and a directing award (Brad Falchuk 2013) prior to this award, Glee had never managed to topple the seemingly indominable The Big Bang Theory, but in its final hurrah, it ended the 5 year reign of the champions. Despite a couple tough years for the show off camera, the fans of the show still loved the shows on camera product enough to give it this years award as a final send off to the show. The Big Bang Theory finds themselves in the unfamiliar spot of 2nd. After 5 consecutive titles, TBBT will be "runner ups" for now. Orange Is The New Black was well back in 3rd in their first finals appearance. Modern Family ties their best finals with their second consecutive 4th in their 4th finals appearance. Brooklyn Nine-Nine inches up 2 spots from last years 7th to finish 5th in their 2nd finals appearance. 2 Broke Girls are 6th...for a 3rd time in a row. The Goldbergs jump into their first finals in 7th. Shameless in their first finals get 8th. Jane The Virgin in their 1st finals was tied for 9th with New Girl, which was the same spot they finished in their only other finals appearance in 2013. Veep takes the final spot in their 1st finals in 11th. Since the unexpected death of the shows lead male, Cory Monteith, a couple years ago, Colfer has stepped up into the lead role and grown his fan base substantially portraying the fashionable Kurt Hummel on the show. This years 1-2 finish of Colfer and Parsons ends a 3 year run of the pair finishing 1-2 in this category as Glee will not be eligible for next years awards. Darren Criss "Glee" finished 3rd in this final year of eligibility on the show. Timothy Omundson "Galavant" was 4th and Chris Pratt "Parks And Recreation" was 5th. This is the first year she finished ahead of her co-star Jane Lynch, who this year finished 3rd. This ended the 4 year run of "The Big Bang Theory" winning it with Mayim Bialik (2012, 2014) finishing in 2nd this year and Kaley Cuoco (2011, 2013) finishing 4th. Sanwiched in between the former winners was Jane Lynch in 3rd. Kat Dennings "2 Broke Girls" rounded out the top 5 for the 2nd year in a row. The series about a zombie outbreak in Seattle that the public seemingly doesnt know about. The show centres around the "life" of Liv Moore (portrayed by Rose McIver) a typical med student who went to a boat party that turned violent and when she woke up, in a body bag, she was a zombie. Since then, she gave up her promising career to become a medical exminer for the Coroners office. This gives her access to brains of the victims that come in to help control her urge for fresh brains. Her boss Ravi Chakrabarti (Rahul Kohli) is fascinated by her Zombieness and has been helping to try and find a cure for her, and all the others in Seattle who have the disease. When she eats them, she also gets the persons memories and personality trains, making each weeks episodes quite unique as Liv becomes more or less a different persone ach week. Tthis has led her to help solves crimes with Seattle PD homicide detective Clive Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin), all while pretending to be psychic instead of the more awkward explanation that shes a zombie. With an ex-boyfriend Major Lilywhite (Robert Buckley) who is now a zombie hunter, a friend Peyton Charles (Aly Michalka) who is an assistant district attorney. Of course there have to be enemies, like former zombie turned back to human Blaine Debeers (David Anders) who sells brains to high end clients & isnt afraid to get them any way he has to. Stacy Boss (Eddie Jemison), the drug kingpin of Seattle. As well as energy drink mogul Vaughn Du Clark (Steven Weber). Supergirl was narrowly beaten out by 5 votes, and not too far behind them was Agent Carter in 3rd just beating out Jessica Jones in 4th by 1 vote. Statistical oddity, the top 4 shows all have female leads. In 5th was Daredevil giving Netflix two top 5 finishers. A 6th place tie happened between Fear The Walking Dead, and Sense8. In 8th was the TV adaptation of the movie Limitless. Back in 9th was Quantico. 10th is the musical comedy Galavant. In 11th is the critcally acclaimed Empire. In 12th was the Netflix comedy Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Early on in voting the fight seemed to be between Agent carter, Jessica Jones and Daredevil, but as things moved on Supergirl and eventually iZombie pushed past them. Eventually iZombie grabbed a large lead on the back of fans voting for Bradley James in the Recurring Actor category which slightly overlapped. Supergirl closed the gap some down the stretch... but not enough in the end. Enrico Colantoni "Person of Interest" wins Best Guest Star in his 2nd consecutive year of making the finals of a category (Recurring Actor last year). The man who brings to life the bad guy who has a soft spot for the good guys, Carl Elias is officially the first actor on the show to win an acting award for the show. Aleks Paunovic "The 100" had a solid run near the end of voting and moved all the way up to 2nd, coming from 6th with 2 days left. Nate Torrence "Supernatural" had the lead early on in voting, but too much vote splitting by SPN fans cost him a real shot at a win here, and he narrlowly finishes 3rd ahead of 2 other SPN Guest Stars, Travis Aaron Wade in 4th 1 vote ahead of Timothy Omundson in 5th. Emily Bett Rickards "The Flash" finished in 6th, quite a bit further back than I predicted in my guesses for this category. Taraji P Henson "Person Of Interest" was 7th. Ksenia Solo "Lost Girl" nabbed an 8th place spot in her 5th consecutive finals for this character which included a 2nd place finish for "Recurring Actress" just last year. Just behind her was Emily Kinney "The Walking Dead' in 9th. Alex Kingston "Doctor Who" was 10th.
