CBS "How I Met Your Mother" last years runner up comes in 3rd, USA Network fake-psychic crime dramedy "Psych" comes in 4th after finishing 5th last year. CBS crime drama remake "Hawaii Five-O" went from 3rd to 2nd in voting this round. The 2011 winners in this category ABC crime drama "Castle" nabbed 3rd, also 1 spot up from their nomination round spot of 4th. USA Netowork crime drama "White Collar" after nabbing the last spot in the nomination round, goes into the finals in 5th place. Here are the results for the Semi-finals categories of the Canadagraphs BEST OF TV AWARDS 2012.
This set of categories dealt with Best actor in comedy, sci-fi/fantasy, or action/drama, as well as Supporting actor. FINALISTS are in BOLD text. The Best Comedy actor category this year has had an unexpected challenger.... "Psych" star Timothy Omundson has taken the lead in both rounds of voting. Last years runner up "The Big Bang Theory" star Jim Parsons has been 2nd in both rounds. The 2011 winner Neil Patrick harris from "How I Met Your Mother" has been 3rd in both rounds. Cory Monteith from "Glee" nabbed 4th, while Danny Pudi of "Community" takes the final spot. Results for Best Comedy actor Semi-finals voting Timothy Omundson "Psych" 474 Jim Parsons "The Big Bang Theory" 130 Neil Patrick Harris "How I Met Your Mother" 124 Cory Monteith "Glee" 105 Danny Pudi "Community" 75 Johnny Galecki "The Big Bang Theory" 58 James Roday "Psych" 53 Dule Hill "Psych" 51 Jason Segel "How I Met Your Mother" 49 Donald Glover "Community" 39 Alec Baldwin "30 Rock" 27 Charlie Sheen "Anger Management" 17 Best sci-fi/fantasy actor category looks again to be a likely runaway win for last years winner, and the 2010 Best Actor winner Jensen Ackles of "Supernatural". His castmates Jared Padalecki & Misha Collins round out the top 3, while "Fringe" star John Noble takes 4th & Norman Reedus from "The Walking Dead" squeaks into the final spot by 6 votes ahead of "The Secret Circle" star Gale Harold. Results for Best Sci-fi or Fantasy actor Semi-finals voting Jensen Ackles "Supernatural" 679 Jared Padalecki "Supernatural" 311 Misha Collins "Supernatural" 171 John Noble "Fringe" 159 Norman Reedus "The Walking Dead" 158 Gale Harold "The Secret Circle" 152 Joshua Jackson "Fringe" 145 Andrew Lincoln "The Walking Dead" 102 Robert Carlyle "Once Upon A Time" 98 Peter Dinklage "Game Of Thrones" 78 Ian Somerhalder "The Vampire Diaries" 70 Josh Dallas "Once Upon A Time" 68 Michael Kopsa "Fringe" 61 Seth Gabel "Fringe" 59 Best action/drama actor category looked like it might be a Person Of Interest uncontested sweep after the nomination round, but the semi-finals saw a different leader. "Hawaii Five-O" star Alex O'Loughlin took the lead spot, ahead of "Castle" star & the 2011 winner, Nathan Fillion. 3rd was the nomination round leader "Person Of Interest" star Jim Caviezel. "Burn Notice" star Bruce Campbell grabbed 4th, as Michael Emerson of "Person Of Interest" rounded out the top 5. Results for Best Action or Drama actor Semi-finals voting Alex O'Loughlin "Hawaii Five-O" 439 Nathan Fillion "Castle" 288 Jim Caviezel "Person Of Interest" 248 Bruce Campbell "Burn Notice" 222 Michael Emerson "Person Of Interest" 208 Michael C. Hall "Dexter" 160 Jeffrey Donovan "Burn Notice" 121 Hugh Laurie "House" 99 Damian Lewis "Homeland" 75 Thomas Gibson "Criminal Minds" 69 Shemar Moore "Criminal Minds" 64 Joel Kinnaman "The Killing" 58 Timothy Olyphant "Justified" 48 Charlie Hunnam "Sons Of Anarchy" 42 Gabriel Mann "Revenge" 26 When I created the Supporting actor/actress categories, it didnt really occur to me that someone might win it 2 years in a row for the same show... The guidelines I put in place, where the Supporting awards are given to actors who have a minimum 3 & maximumum 7 appearances in the year is vastly different than the major awards "supporting" actor/actress awards. Because of this, I didnt think there woud be too many times where there would be someone up for the award twice, in a row, let alone win it... Best Supporting Actor category was dominated by Supernatural cast members, as they took the top 4 spots. The winner of last years award, Mark Sheppard is headed into the final as the semi-finals leader, besting his other SPN bretheren Ty Olsson, Jim Beaver & Osric Chau. "Fringe" star Michael Cerveris took 5th. I felt compelled to extend this category to 7 because of the SPN dominance "Dexter" baddie Ray Stevenson & "Fringe" baddie Jared Harris tied for the final spot. Results for Best Supporting Actor Semi-finals voting Mark Sheppard "Supernatural" 259 Ty Olsson "Supernatural" 147 Jim Beaver "Supernatural" 143 Osric Chau "Supernatural" 106 Michael Cerveris "Fringe" 83 Ray Stevenson "Dexter" 82 Jared Harris "Fringe" 82 Kurt Fuller "Psych" 68 Wil Wheaton "Eureka" 39 Shaun Smyth "Fringe" 21 The Best Guest star finals appear to be a Supernatural vs Fringe battle as 5 of the 6 finalists come form those 2 shows. With 5 of the 10 semi-finalists it was a near mathematical probability Supernatural would have at least someone in the finals. SPN guest star DJ Qualls leader in both rounds, goes into the finals as the favorite. Another SPN'er was 2nd this round, Felicia Day. Fringe sporadically seen mastermind Leonard Nimoy was 3rd, Supernatural's Mark Pellegrino 4th, Fringe guest star Rebecca Mader nabbed 5th, while Wil Wheaton of The Big Bang Theory in the final couple hours closed a 5 vote gap to tie Mader for the 5th spot. Results for Best Guest Star Semi-finals voting DJ Qualls "Supernatural" 106 Felicia Day "Supernatural" 92 Leonard Nimoy "Fringe" 89 Mark Pellegrino "Supernatural" 75 Rebecca Mader "Fringe" 61 Wil Wheaton "The Big Bang Theory" 61 Cary Elwes "Psych" 50 Mark Sheppard "Leverage" 45 Kevin McNally "Supernatural" 42 Madison McLoughlin "Supernatural" 27 FINALS VOTING will start in early January Here http://canadagraphs.weebly.com/best-of-tv-awards.html Here are the results for the Semi-finals categories of the Canadagraphs BEST OF TV AWARDS 2012.
This set of categories dealt with Best actress in comedy, sci-fi/fantasy, or action/drama, as well as Supporting actress. FINALISTS are in BOLD text. The Best Comedy Actress category again looks to be headed towards the sexy nerd eyecandy from "The Big Bang Theory" Kaley Cuoco. Last years winner heads into the finals having lead in both rounds of voting. Maggie Lawson from "Psych" narrowly edged out another "The Big Bang Theory" star Mayim Bialik for 2nd. "Glee" star Jane Lynch was 4th and "New Girl" star Zoeey Deschanel rounded out the top 5. Results for Best Comedy actress Semi-finals voting Kaley Cuoco "The Big Bang Theory" 163 Maggie Lawson "Psych" 139 Mayim Bialik "The Big Bang Theory 136 Jane Lynch "Glee" 127 Zoeey Deschanel "New Girl" 122 Alyson Hannigan "How I Met Your Mother" 93 Melissa Rauch "The Big Bang Theory" 93 Kat Dennings "2 Broke Girls" 80 Alison Brie "Community" 71 Cobie Smulders "How I Met Your Mother" 61 Lea Michele "Glee" 57 Best sci-fi/fantasy actress cateogy is being taken over by "Lost Girl" stars. With last years winner Erica Durance gone, and the 2010 Best Actress winner Anna Torv's show "Fringe" winding down, competition for the Sci-fi/fantasy crown could be left to just Lost Girl & Once Upon A Time next year if this seasons vote means much. "Lost Girl" nabbed 1st, 3rd & 4th with Zoie Palmer, Anna Silk & Ksenia Solo. "Once Upon A Time" squeezed in 2 finalists, with Lana Parrilla getting 2nd, and Jennifer Morrison taking a 5th place tie with former 2010 best actress Anna Torv from "Fringe". Results for Best Sci-fi or Fantasy actress Semi-finals voting Zoie Palmer "Lost Girl" 555 Lana Parrilla "Once Upon A Time" 360 Anna Silk "Lost Girl" 311 Ksenia Solo "Lost Girl" 302 Anna Torv "Fringe" 208 Jennifer Morrison "Once Upon A Time" 208 Ginnifer Goodwin "Once Upon A Time" 175 Felicia Day "Eureka" 112 Lena Headey "Game Of Thrones" 112 Allison Scagliotti "Warehouse 13" 92 Best action/drama actress category was a slaughter, as "Greys Anatomy" star Ellen Pompeo had 65% of the votes. Last years winner, Stana Katic from "Castle" comes in 2nd, with the rest of the finalists being newcomers to the finals. Michelle Dockery from "Downton Abbey" 3rd, Mireille Enos "The Killing" a shocking 4th & Jennifer Carpenter "Dexter" taking 5th by just 2 votes over finalist from last year Sharon Gless from "Burn Notice". Results for Best Action or Drama actress Semi-finals voting Ellen Pompeo "Grey's Anatomy" 1631 Stana Katic "Castle" 238 Michelle Dockery "Downton Abbey" 123 Mireille Enos "The Killing" Jennifer Carpenter "Dexter" 93 Sharon Gless "Burn Notice" 91 Emily Vancamp "Revenge" 66 Claire Danes "Homeland" 59 AJ Cook "Criminal Minds" 55 Maggie Q "Nikita" 45 Best Supporting Actress category is of course different here than in major awards. Here we base it off how many episodes you are in, so a variety of actresses who might not normally get recognized since they stand between regular & guest star roles get recognized. A minimum of 3, maximimum of 7 appearances is what is required. Perfect example is the leader going into the finals, "Hawaii Five-O" star Michelle Borth. Potentially a full timer down the road, she has yet to get enough credits to be completely considered one (at the time of the nominations). Runner ups were 2 "Supernatural" girls Rachel Miner & Liane Balaban. 4th goes to "Dexter" bad girl Yvonne Strahovski and the final spot goes to "Fringe" short term actress Georgina Haig. Two Once Upon A Time cast were narrowly edged out as Barbara Hershey & Jamie Chung just missed the list. Results for Best Supporting Actress Semi-finals voting Michelle Borth "Hawaii Five-O" 273 Rachel Miner "Supernatural" 184 Liane Balaban "Supernatural" 129 Yvonne Strahovski "Dexter" 87 Georgina Haig "Fringe" 80 Barbara Hershey "Once Upon A Time" 56 Jamie Chung "Once Upon A Time" 55 Lauren Stamile "Burn Notice" 38 Katie Findlay "The Killing" 35 Katia Winter "Dexter" 18 FINALS VOTING will start in early January Here http://canadagraphs.weebly.com/best-of-tv-awards.html Best Of TV Awards 2012 Finalists for - Favorite Show & Character. Sexiest Actor & Actress12/27/2012 Here are the results for the Semi-finals categories of the Canadagraphs BEST OF TV AWARDS 2012.
This set of categories dealt with Favorite TV show & Character. Sexiest actor & actress FINALISTS are in BOLD text. The Favorite TV show category, a new 1 to the awards had very little in the way of surprises to me. The top 5 shows were basically45 of the top vote producing shows in these awards & 1 minor shocker. Lost Girl beat out Supernatural for top spot, while Hawaii Five-O nabbed a slightly surprising 3rd. Castle was 4th, Fringe 5th. A show that missed the list just barely, Person of Interest, which just proves if fan sites dont check the polls every couple of days, they might miss 1 of their nominees. Results for Favorite TV Show Semi-finals voting Lost Girl 589 Supernatural 319 Hawaii Five-O 215 Castle 106 Fringe 105 The Big Bang Theory 91 Dexter 75 Arrow 70 The Walking Dead 70 Game Of Thrones 68 Person Of INterest 49 Psych 45 Elementary 42 How I Met Your Mother 42 Burn Notice 37 Leverage 37 Revenge 36 Community 34 2 Broke Girls 26 Eureka 21 Favorite Character category has historically been dominated by Dean Winchester from "Supernatural" was still his, but only barely, as "Psych" fans pushed hard for Carlton Lassiter to narrowly come in 2nd. A bit back was an unexpected 3rd & 4th for "Dexter" star Dexter Morgan & Burton Guster from "Psych". Dr. Lauren Lewis from "Lost Girl" rounded out the top 5. Results for Favorite TV Character Semi-finals voting Dean Winchester "Supernatural" 938 Carlton Lassiter "Psych" 925 Dexter Morgan "Dexter" 643 Burton Guster "Psych" 603 Dr. Lauren Lewis "Lost Girl" 329 Bo "Lost Girl" 276 Peter Bishop "Fringe" 271 Richard Castle "Castle" 229 Parker "Leverage" 220 Castiel "Supernatural" 208 Kenzi "Lost Girl" 194 Sam Winchester "Supernatural" 186 Dr. Walter Bishop "Fringe" 171 Sam Axe "Burn Notice" 134 Kate Beckett "Castle" 128 Olivia Dunham "Fringe" 119 Emma Swan "Once Upon A Time" 108 Dr. Sheldon Cooper "The Big Bang Theory" 103 Barnet Stinson "How I Met Your Mother" 98 Shawn Spencer "Psych" 96 Michael Westen "Burn Notice" 93 Penny "The Big Bang Theory" 90 Oliver Queen/Arrow "Arrow" 88 Amy Farrah Fowler "The Big Bang Theory" 62 Damon Salvatore "The Vampire Diaries" 45 Sexiest Actor category is the only category open to TV & movie men, but it always seems to get dominated by the TV portion. No different this time as the top 5 spots were all taken by TV actors. Jensen Ackles, the winner last year was the leader again in this round. Misha Collins, Kris Holden Ried, Gale Harold & Jared Padalecki round out the top 5. Only 2 men Nathan Fillion & Henry Cavill are on the finalists list this year who were not last year. Results for Sexiest Actor Semi-finals voting Jensen Ackles 332 Misha Collins 204 Kris Holden Ried 197 Gale Harold 189 Jared Padalecki 163 Henry Cavill 141 Johnny Depp 84 Nathan Fillion 80 Tom Welling 78 Joshua Jackson 74 Stephen Amell 55 Ryan Gosling 53 Cory Monteith 47 Robert Pattinson 38 Josh Dallas 36 Sexiest actress was much like the mens side in the lack of turn over. Only 3 newcomers from last year, Yvonne Strahovski, Stana Katic & Jennifer Lawrence. Last years runner up, Zoie Palmer comes in as this years leader, Anna Silk took 2nd, Anna Torv 3rd, Stana Katic 4th & last years winner, Erica Durance 5th. Lasy years 3rd, Mila Kunis missed the finals by 1 spot & 10 votes. Results for Sexiest Actress Semi-finals voting Zoie Palmer 356 Anna Silk 161 Anna Torv 110 Stana Katic 86 Erica Durance 80 Jennifer Lawrence 74 Yvonne Strahovski 74 Jennifer Morrison 70 Olivia Wilde 69 Alison Brie 66 Jennifer Love Hewitt 66 Mila Kunis 56 Kaley Cuoco 55 Molly Quinn 40 Kat Dennings 30 Katie Holmes 29 Lea Michele 16 FINALS VOTING will start in early January Here http://canadagraphs.weebly.com/best-of-tv-awards.html Here are the results for the Semi-finals categories of the Canadagraphs BEST OF TV AWARDS 2012.
This set of categories dealt with Best Non-Human Character Or Prop, Episode, Director & Couple. FINALISTS are in BOLD text. The Non-Human Category still seems to confuse some people, as the nomination round saw lots of votes wasted on characters that were clearly played BY humans (making them void). In the semi-finals, with no write in voting allowed, a more clear path emerged for the contenders. With a small delegation of fans from Person Of Interest fan boards finding these awards, they made their mysterious all knowing device that spies on everyone "The Machine" the runaway leader in voting, beating out former champ "The Impala" from Supernatural. Last years runner up also dipped 1 spot as Gene the cow from "Fringe" came in 3rd. Newcomer to the finalists "The Blueberry" from Psych, and rounding out your 2012 BOTVA Finalists the cleverly named monkey from Community "Annies Boobs". Results for Best Non-Human Character Or Prop semi-finals voting The Machine "PERSON OF INTEREST" 455 The Impala "SUPERNATURAL" 135 Gene "FRINGE" 89 The Blueberry "PSYCH" 70 Annies Boobs "COMMUNITY" 68 Walters Lab "FRINGE" 53 Dexters Knife "DEXTER" 33 Best Episode category had the same 2 shows that were the leaders after the nomination round leading the semi-finals. USA Network comedy-crime drama Psych episode "Heeeeere's Lassie" was top again with The CW Networks Supernatural episode "The Girl With The Dungeon And Dragons Tattoo" coming in 2nd. Another Supernatural episode was 3rd "Survival Of The Fittest" while Castle nabbed a 4th spot with "Undead Again", edging out 2 Fringe episodes in 5th & 6th "The End Of All Things" & "Brave New World Pt 1&2". "Before The Dying Fire" From The Walking Dead, "Linchpin" Castle, "Are You...?" Dexter, and "Santabarbaratown" Psych round out the rest of the finalists. Not making the list were the 3rd & 4th ranked shows from the nominations round, both from rookie CW Network show, Arrow. Results for Best Episode Semi-finals voting. "Heeeeere's Lassie" PSYCH 316 "The Girl With The Dungeons And Dragons Tattoo" SUPERNATURAL 175 "Survival Of The Fittest" SUPERNATURAL 152 "Undead Again" CASTLE 133 "The End Of All Things" FRINGE 124 "Brave New World Pt 1&2" FRINGE 120 "Before The Dying Fire" THE WALKING DEAD 103 "Linchpin" CASTLE 101 "Are You...?" Jon Cassar & Joe Chappelle, both from Fringe episodes nabbed 3rd & 4th. David Crabtree for an episode from Psych, and Ernest R. Dickerson for an episode from The Walking Dead are the other finalists. I dont usually speak up on voting decisions...but I am going to here. Jensen Ackles is a COMPETENT director from what I've seen..but Best? No. There are categories on here for favorite character, sexiest actor/actress, even the Best Actor/actress categories are more open to debate, but Jensen Ackles as best director would be a farce and you all know it...anfy of you saying otherwise are crazy. Did you legitimately watch the episode he directed & think "wow, that episode was put together far better than any other I've seen this year"?? No, you didnt. in the finals, try voting on the product you saw, and not the name attached to it. Results for Best Director semi-finals voting. Jensen Ackles "Heartache" SUPERNATURAL 345 Guy Norman Bee "Blood Brothers" SUPERNATURAL 102 Joe Chappelle "Letters Of Transit" FRINGE 92 Jon Cassar "Through The Looking Glass And What Walter Found There" FRINGE 91 David Crabtree "Santabarbaratown" PSYCH 65 Ernest R. Dickerson "Beside The Dying Fire" THE WALKING DEAD 65 Dean White "A Land Without Magic" ONCE UPON A TIME 48 James Roday "Heeeeere's Lassie" PSYCH 45 Patty Jenkins "What I Know" THE KILLING 44 Matthew Hastings "Just Another Day" EUREKA 40 Phil Abrahams "The Other Woman" MAD MEN 19 Again, the Best Couple category is being dominated by the all girl couple of Bo & Lauren Lewis from "Lost Girl". The other 4 spots in the finals were taken by couples that have had merged nicknames by their fanbases, Richard Castle & Kate Beckett, more affectionately known as "Caskett" by the Castle fans came in 2nd, "POlivia" the Fringe couple of Peter Bishop & Olivia Dunham were 3rd, the real life couple James Roday & Maggie Lawson characters Shawn Spencer & Juliet O'Hara aka "Shules" from Psych nabbed 4th ahead of The Big Bang Theory super brained odd couple "ShAmy" Sheldon Cooper & Amy Farrah Fowler. Slightly shocking to me was that the Once Upon A Time couple of Snow & Charming didnt make the finals & more shockingly The Vampire Diaries "Delena" didnt even seem to register a pulse. Results for Best Couple semi-finals voting. Bo & Lauren Lewis "LOST GIRL" 1066 Richard Castle & Kate Beckett "CASTLE" 235 Peter Bishop & Olivia Dunham "FRINGE" 181 Juliet O'Hara & Shawn Spencer "PSYCH" 150 Sheldon Cooper & Amy Farrah Fowler "THE BIG BANG THEORY" 143 Snow White & Prince Charming "ONCE UPON A TIME" 121 Penny & Leonard Hofstadter "THE BIG BANG THEORY" 89 Marshall Eriksen & Lily Aldrin "HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER" 80 Fiona Glenanne & Michael Westen "BURN NOTICE" 71 Damon Salvatore & Elena Gilbert "THE VAMPIRE DIARIES" 64 FINALS VOTING will start in early January Here http://canadagraphs.weebly.com/best-of-tv-awards.html Best Of TV Awards - Semi-finalists for Best Comedy, Action/Drama, Sci-fi/Fantasy & New Programs.12/11/2012 Here are the results for the final set of categories to be voted on for the semi-finalists of the Canadagraphs BEST OF TV AWARDS 2012.

The Best Comedy category was dominated by 3 shows, Psych, The Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother, as they combined, took the top 7 spots in the category.
