Jared Gilmore "Once Upon A Time" ties last years winner Chandler Riggs "The Walking Dead" with 128 votes. For Gilmore, this comes on the heels of a runner up spot last year, for his second time (he previously lost to another OUAT alum Robbie Kay in the first year of this category). His loss last year came at the hands of the person he tied for the award with this year, Chandler Riggs. For Riggs, this gives him 2 wins in this category, making him the first & only multiple award winner in the category. Third was David Mazouz "Gotham" for his 3rd consecutive time with 81 votes. Caleb McLaughlin was the first of three "Stranger Things" cast in 4th with 61 votes. Gaten Matarazzo had 51 votes for 5th, and Finn Wolfhard with 48 votes rounded out the trio in 6th. Dean Charles Chapman "Game Of Thrones" tied for 7th with 2014 winner Isaac Hempstead Wright with 37 votes. Sean Giambrone "The Goldbergs" was 9th with 30 votes. The 2016 Best Of TV Awards Finals are on now, and here is the finalists for the categories of Best Youth Actor Jared Gilmore "Once Upon A Time" led the semi-finals vote with 23 votes in a pretty sparesely attended vote. This will be his 4th finals appearance, hes twice been runner up for this award, could 2017 be his year finally? Caleb McLaughlin & Gaten Matarazzo "Stranger Things" tied for 2nd in the semis with 21 votes in their 1st finals appearances, joining them is Finn Wolfhard "Stranger Things" with 19 votes in 4th in the semis. David Mazouz was 5th with 18 votes for his 3rd consecutive finals appearce, hes finished 3rd in the finals his previous two tries. Isaac Hempstead Wright "Game Of Thrones" the 2014 winner, came in 6th in the semis for his 3rd consecurtive finals appearance. In the three years the youth awards have been around Chandler Riggs "The Walking Dead" has been a contender each year, and each year has moved up 1 spot from 3rd in 2013, to 2nd last year to winning this years award. The young actor who portrays Carl Grimes on The Walking Dead had lots of competition for this years award, but managed to hold off his challengers. Riggs was 1 of 4 actors who had the lead at some time. Runner up Jared Gilmore "Once Upon A Time" had the lead at times early on, and even on the 2nd to last day was tied with Riggs before falling behind. David Mazouz "Gotham" in 3rd had the lead breifly in the 1st day of the vote, eventually being passed by others before making a bit of a late surge to push himself back up into 3rd in the end. Sloane Morgan Siegel "Gortimer Gibbons Life On Normal Street" showed his first round vote lead wasnt a fluke by hanging in with actors from more known shows to finish 4th, and was at times leading thru the first two days of the vote. Ironically, last years winner Isaac Hempstead Wright "Game Of Thrones" wasnt 1 of the 4 leaders, he finished 5th this year, just ahead of the 2013 winner Robbie Kay who was back for his 2nd time, this time however with his new show "Heroes Reborn" he finished 6th. Last years winner Isaac Hempstead-Wright from "Game Of Thrones" is back, along with the 2013 winner Robbie Kay for his work on "Heroes Reborn", previously he won with his work on "Once Upon A Time". But its regular finalsts Jared Gilmore "Once Upon A Time" and Chandler Riggs "The Walking Dead", along with David Mazouz "Gothqam" who led the semi-final voting & look like they will give serious competition for the title this year. The Best Youth Actress Category looks like it might again go to the 2013 winner Maisie Williams from "Game Of Thrones:". After losing the 2014 title to now over 20 actress Bex Taylor-Klaus, the inagural winner looks to have a serious run at a 2nd title set up. While some competition was put in for the semi-finals from unexpected contender Chandler Kinney from "Gortimer Gibbons Life On Normal Street" and Camren Bicondova from "Gotham", Williams seems like the safe bet in this category again. The Best New Program Category seems poised to crown a female led hero show this year. Jessica Jones, Supergirl and Agent carter were the top 3 vote getters in the semi-finals. While Quantico & Daredevil were also close to the leaders. Fear The Walking Dead makes the finals, hoping to follow in its origin shows footsteps and win the New Program award. Two comedies Galavant & Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt eek into the finals, making them the first comedies to make the finals since 2011 Breaking In did so. The Final round of the 2015 Best Of TV Awards will be under way with some categories soon. Each voting round will last 3 to 6 days. Isaac Hempstead Wright "Game Of Thrones" Isaac Hempstead Wright from "Game Of Thrones" wins the 2nd ever Best Youth Actor award and becomes the 2nd Game Of Thrones cast member to win a Youth Award, after Maisie Williams win last year for Youth Actress. Wright brings to life the paralyzed Bran Stark every week on the show. At only 15 years of age, Wright will the opportunity to repeat as champion next year as his character is still active on the show, unlike last years inaugural winner Robbie Kay from "Once Upon A Time" who was killed off. Runner up this year is last years 3rd place finalist Chandler Riggs "The Walking Dead". Riggs held the vote lead for a little while in the middle of the vote, but eventually gave way to Wright. Another newcomer to the category Isaac Hempstead Wright "Game Of Thrones" came in 3rd ahead of last years 3rd place finisher Chandler Riggs "The Walking Dead". This year 4 of last years finalists are in this eyars finals. As stated earlier, the defending champ is out due to not being on the show this year, Same goes for Rowan Longworth, while Shane Harper was ineligible due to his age. In the Youth Actress category... last eyars winner Maisie Williams "Game Of Thrones" again looks like she will be a major contender. However, the semi-final vote saw last years double finalist Bex Taylor-Klaus "Arrow" take a strong stranglehold on things and will go into the finals as the probable favorite based on her nearly 2 to 1 vote ratio of last years winner in the runner up spot. Camren Bicondova "Gotham" like her male counterpart finished strong with a 3rd place spot ahead of last years 3rd place finalist Sophie Turner "Game Of Thrones" who finished 4th in the semi-finals this year. Like on the guys side, theres a couple missing from this year who were in last year. Molly Quinn "Castle" was ineligible for her age, Gage Golightly was both ineligible for her age and the fact her show ended, and finally Bex Taylor-Klaus "The Killing" will only be a finalist for 1 show this year as her role in the final season of the drama was not reprised. As Peter Pan on "Once Upon A Time" Robbie Kay has built up quite a fanbase & it showed. Kay wins the inagural Best Youth Actor award with 1504 votes. Runner up is someone who shared a lot of screen time with Robbie this season on "Once Upon A Time" Jared Gilmore had 699 votes. In 3rd, well back was Chandler Riggs of "The Walking Dead" as the grown up past his years Carl Grimes had 422 votes. Nolan Gould of "Modern Family" was 4th, Jake T. Austin "The Fosters" was 5th, Rowan Longwirth "Fringe" was 6th & Shane Harper "Good Luck Charlie" finished in 7th Early in the voting Chandler Riggs & Rowan Longworth had leads, but by the end of day 1, Kay had taken the lead and never looked back. Robbie Kay set a current record of 1504 votes in the inagural award. Robbie Kay margain of victory 805 votes, is also the inagural record.
