This is the 6th win in the 7 years of this award for this show. Their only loss, coming last year to the now retired Glee. This years win saw only 36 votes cast for them... but it was enough to win this award again. Runner Up was Galavant with 29 votes. Third was a tie between Modern Family and The Goldbergs with 16 votes. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was 5th with 14 votes. Shameless was 6th with 9 votes. After 5 consecutive years of making the finals, 3 with "Psych" and now 2 with "Galavant" Omundson wins this years award in the final year of eligibility with the now canceled Galavant. The man who brought King Richard to life, as well as his drago Tad Cooper finished with 71 votes. For Gilmore, this comes on the heels of a runner up spot last year, for his second time (he previously lost to another OUAT alum Robbie Kay in the first year of this category). His loss last year came at the hands of the person he tied for the award with this year, Chandler Riggs. Glee, the musical comedy about the kids of a fictional high school in Ohio starring Jane Lynch, Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, Darren Criss, Kevin McHale, Matthew Morrison, Dot Marie Jones and Chord Overstreet, wins Best Comedy Program in its last year of eligibility for the award. Despite winning 3 acting awards (Chris Colfer 2013, 2015, Lea Michele 2015), and a directing award (Brad Falchuk 2013) prior to this award, Glee had never managed to topple the seemingly indominable The Big Bang Theory, but in its final hurrah, it ended the 5 year reign of the champions. Despite a couple tough years for the show off camera, the fans of the show still loved the shows on camera product enough to give it this years award as a final send off to the show. The Big Bang Theory finds themselves in the unfamiliar spot of 2nd. After 5 consecutive titles, TBBT will be "runner ups" for now. Orange Is The New Black was well back in 3rd in their first finals appearance. Modern Family ties their best finals with their second consecutive 4th in their 4th finals appearance. Brooklyn Nine-Nine inches up 2 spots from last years 7th to finish 5th in their 2nd finals appearance. 2 Broke Girls are 6th...for a 3rd time in a row.
