![]() The Best Of TV Awards 2013 winner in the category of Best Episode is Sacrifice "Supernatural". For the 3rd year in a row "Supernatural" wins the Best Episode award, for the 2nd year in a row, it was a season finale episode. Sacrifice (also the name of the runner up episode, also a season finale, which aired the same night on the same channel.) which was the season 8 finale for Supernatural saw the Winchesters favorite angel Castiel mistakenly got all the angels cast out of heaven & down to earth. The episode bulldozed its competition in the last couple days & went on to win with 426 votes. Runner up, the "Arrow" season finale, also titled Sacrifice, nabbed 376 votes. In 3rd the "Continuum" season 2 finale Sacrifi... no, just kidding, it was titled Second Time, it nabbed 338 votes to narrowly take 3rd. Dark Hollow "Once Upon A Time" was 4th, The Rains Of Castamere "Game Of Thromes" was 5th. LARP And The Real Girl "Supernatural" was 6th. Holy Terror "Supernatural" was 7th. An Enemy Of Fate "Fringe" was 8th. As Time Goes By "Supernatural" was 9th. Fallout "Haven" was 10th. Day 1 saw 2 different Supernatural episodes with the lead Holy Terror & Sacrifice, as well as the Arrow season finale Sacrifice & the Fringe series finale An Enemy Of Fate & the Game Of Thrones Rains Of Castamere. Day 2 to 5 was led by Sacrifice from Arrow. Day 6 to the end was led by Sacrifice from Supernatural. ![]() The Best Of TV Awards 2013 winner in the category of Best Director is Brad Falchuk "The Quarterback" (Glee). The director of probably the most talked about episode of Glee in recent years, Brad Falchuk won the honour of Best Director with his work on "The Quarterback", an episode that was surely a challenge for not just the cast, but the crew too as they paid tribute to 1 of their shows biggest stars after the death of Cory Monteith. Falchuk won with 496 votes. Runner up was Philip Sgriccia for the (Supernatural) season finale "Sacrifice" with 450 votes. In 3rd was David Barrett for his work on (Arrow) finale "Sacrifice" with 429 votes. Rounding out the top 5 were Guy Norman Bee "Devil May Care" (Supernatural) who was a runner up last year on a different Supernatural episode came in 4th. John Fawcett "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" (Orphan Black) was 5th. Jeannot Szwarc "LARP And The Real Girl" (Supernatural) was 6th, Joel Wyman "An Enemy Of Fate" (Fringe) was 7th, Guy Norman Bee "Taxi Driver" (Supernatural) 8th & Shawn Piller "Fallout" (Haven) was 9th. There was 5 lead changes on day 1, Wyman had a short lead early on, Fawcett & Sgriccia also held the leads on day 1. It was Barrett & Bee "Devil May Care" who had the lead longest though. Day 2 thru 5 Barrett had the lead. Day 6 Barrett, Sgriccia & Falchuk had the lead. Falchuk led & never looked back on the final day, despite a close single digit lead with ess than 10 hrs left. This is the 1st award the show "Glee" has ever won in the Best Of TV Awards. Best Program Category leader was a finalist for best New Program last year. The Canadian sci-fi cop from the future show "Continuum" beat out former 2X champ "Supernatural" 488 to 446 votes. Not too far back in 3rd is 2X finalist contender "Lost Girl" at 431 votes. Rounding out the top 5, 1st time finalist "Doctor Who" & 2011 best New Program winner "Once Upon A Time". The rest of the finalists are - "Game Of Thrones", "Haven", 3X finalist "Fringe" & the defending champion "The Walking Dead" who limped in to the finals in the last spot. Missing the finals - "Grimm" & 2010 finalist "Warehouse 13" were well back at 60 & 61 votes behind. Best Actor category, after a 1 year anomoly last year that saw a member of The Walking Dead win, seems to once again be going all Supernatural's way. The 2010 Best Actor & 2011 winner of this category Jensen Ackles finds himself in a battle with his co-star, Misha Collins. Collins narrowly beating the 2X champ by just 3 votes 610 to 607. Back in 3rd is "Continuum" leading man Victor Webster at 385 votes. Rounding out the top 5. the 3x finalist Jared Padalecki "Supernatural" & Robert Carlyle "Once Upon A Time". The rest of the finalists are - Kris Holden-Ried "Lost Girl", Stephen Lobo "Continuum", Eric Balfour "Haven", defending champion Norman Reedus "The Walking Dead", Peter Dinklage "Game Of Thrones" & Tom Mison "Sleepy Hollow". In 2nd was BOTVA finalist newcomer "Continuum" lead actress Rachel Nichols at 437. Another "Lost Girl" finalist in 3rd as former 2X finalist Anna Silk had 344 votes. Only 2 votes behind was "Arrow" guest star Grant Gustin. In 3rd was "King & Maxwell" guest star Christian Kane only 6 votes back at 235 votes. Rounding out the top 5 , Ellen Muth "Hannibal" & last years Best Recurring Actress Winner Rachel Miner "Supernatural". David Richmond-Peck "Lost Girl" 25 votes back. The Best Episode category has a LOT of Supernatural contenders in the final, as the 2X defending champion show in this category looks to 3-peat. Of course, will vote splitting be their downfall, like happens so often when a fanbase nominates too many finalists? Leading semi-final vote getter was from "Continuum" Second Time, with 450 votes. Fairly well back in 2nd was "Once Upon A Time" Dark Hollow, with 278 votes. Then it was some "Supernatural" episodes. Sacrifice with 253 votes was 3rd. The recurring actress category looks poised for a non-Supernatural winner this year, if the semi-final voting is any clue. Gillian Anderson "Hannibal" led all actresses in the nomination round, and now in the semi-final voting with 244 votes. Runner up this round was a 2012 Best Guest star finalist Felicia Day "Supernatural" with an even 200 votes. Jamie Chung "Once Upon A Time" came in 3rd at 178 votes. A tie for 4th between Sarah Bolger "Once Upon A Time" & Lisa Edelstein "Castle" round out the top 5. Osric Chau "Supernatural" a finalist last year, jumped out to a fast large lead & held on in the semi-finals with 204 votes. Raphael Sbarge "Once Upon A Time" made a late surge from nowhere to take 2nd at 174 votes. John Noble "Fringe" a staple of the best actor category (only 1 of 2 actors to make the finals 4 straight years in a category. Other - Jensen Ackles) in years past, now competing for the recurring role in the shows final season had 109 votes. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau "Game Of Thrones" & David Richmond-Peck "Orphan Black" round out the top 5. The rest of the semi-finalists are - Josh Jackson "Fringe", Richard Madden "Game Of Thrones", James Marsters "Warehouse 13", Adam Copeland "Haven" & Michael Socha "Once Upon A Time In Wonderland".
