The 2015 Best Of TV Awards Winner for Best Recurring Actor is Bradley James "iZombie". Bradley James "iZombie" wins the Recurring Actor award, and becoming the 1st non-Supernatural actor to ever win it. The British star had the breif role as the zombie love interest Lowell Tracey for the lead character on the show before his tragic end on the series. Richard Harmon "The 100" nabbed 2nd, and early on looked like he might run away with this, before his moment slowed. Winston Duke "Person Of Interest" was in the finals for his 2nd consecutive year, finishing 3rd this time. Curtis Armstrong "Supernatural" was the only finalist from the show that managed every previous winner of this award, but could only get 4th this year, up from 6th place that he shared last year with an award winner in another category this year. Mig Macario "Once Upon A Time" finished in 5th. Noah Wyle "The Librarians" finishes 6th, Matt Ryan "Constantine" was 7th, just ahead of Lee Arenberg "Once Upon A Time" in 8th. Ian Anthony Dale "Hawaii Five-0" finished 9th just ahead of Ian Tracey "The 100" in 10th. While the show does have 1 finalist in Curtis Armstrong, it seems like he will certainly have some serious competition this year from others on other shows. A bit of a shocker to me, Bradley James from iZombie led voting in the semi-finals. Ian Anthony Dale from "Hawaii Five-0" was tied for 2nd with Armstrong. Winston Duke from "Person of Interest" a 5th place Guest Star finalist last year, finds himself in the hunt for the Recurring honour this year. Noah Wyle, John Noble, Joshua Jackson and Jon Hamm all find themselves competing in this category this year, all previously were finalists in the main actor categories for completely different shows, in the past. The Best Recurring Actress Category finalists had another minor upset (to me at least) in the semi-finals. Ann Mahoney from "The Walking Dead" a non-factor in round 1 voting where she finished 32nd, led voting this round. Felicia Day from "Supernatural" , the 2013 Winner of this award was 2nd. Alycia Debnam-Carey will have two spots in the finals, one for "The 100" & one for "Fear The Walking Dead". Michelle Borth of "Hawaii Five-0" makes the finals as a Recurring actress this year, after missing out on the finals in the Best Action/Drama Actress category last year. Camren Mannheim led 3 "Person Of Interest" actresses into the finals, along with cara Buono and Annie Ilonzeh. Ksenia Solo, a finalist last year in this category for "Lost Girl" is back with her work on "Orphan Black". Katrina Law, a finalist in this category last year, and caity Lotz, a finalist in the Best Sci-fi/Fantasy Actress category last year represent "Arrow" in the finals this year here. Rachel Nichols "Continuum" makes the finals one last time for her work on the show in its final season, this time in the Recurring category. The Best Guest Star Category was led by the Winner of the Best Action/Drama Actress category last year. Emily Bett Rickards "The Flash" led voting for the same cahracter that won her the most notable actress award last year, this time on a different show. She was also a finalist last year in this category for this very role, finishing 6th. Taraji P. Henson "Person Of Interest" is a finalist for her work with the character that got her a finalist nod in 2013 in the Best Action/Drama Actress field. Travis Aaron Wade, a finalist for Recurring Actor last year is back in the finals as a Guest Star this year for his work on "Supernatural". Another "Suypernatural" finalist is Timothy Omundson, better known as a 3X finalist for Best Comedy Actor for his work on "Psych". Enrico Colantoni "Person of Interest" is back in the finals again after last year being there in the Recurring Actor category. Julian Richings "Supernatural" gets back into the finals after 1st appearing in this categories inagural award in 2011. Lucy Lawless "Agents Of SHIELD" is back in the finals in this category after finishing 3rd in it last year. Stephen Amell "The Flash" also returns after a 7th place finish last year. Grant Gustin "Arrow" also is back after being a finalist last year. Mark Hamill "The Flash" finds himself as a finalist, fresh off his massive 5 second role in Star Wars The Force Awakens. John Noble is a double finalist this year. With his Recurring honour, and his work on "Forever" he gets a spot in this finals too. Ksenia Solo "Lost Girl" is also a double finalist this year. Her Recurring nod, and her Guest Star nod for "Lost Girl", her 5th finals for this show (3 Sci-Fi/Fantasy Actress, 1 Recurring, 1 Guest). Wil Wheaton "The Big Bang Theory" is back as a finalist after being one for his work on the show in 2012. Robert Knepper "Hawaii Five-0" is back for a 2nd time in the Guest Star category, after being nominated last year for "Arrow" and its his 3rd straight year making at least the semi-finals in this category as he did so in 2013 for "The Blacklist" making him the first ever actor nominated in the same category 3 years in a row for 3 different shows. Rebecca Mader "Once Upon A Time" makes it back to the finals for the first time since 2012 when she did so with her Guest Spot on "Fringe". Sarah Bolger "Once Upon A Time" makes the finals for a 2nd time, last being 2013 as a Recurring Actress. Colin Donnell "Arrow" is back for a 2nd straight year for his work on the show as a Guest Star. Bex Taylor-Klaus the 2014 Best Youth Actress winner, is also back for a 2nd time for her Guest Star work on "Arrow". The 2013 Best Action/Drama Actor winner John Barrowman is in the finals with his work on "The Flash". Bob Newhart "The Big Bang Theory" is in his 2nd consecutive finals for Guest Star. The Final round of the 2015 Best Of TV Awards will be under way with some categories soon. Each voting round will last 3 to 6 days.. Voting, and a complete list of nominees in all categories can be found HERE The Best Recurring Actor And Actress categories for 2013 have been dominated by Supernatural in the past years (both actress & actor titles having gone to them - Maxwell, Sheppard 11 & Miner, Beaver 12) but could there be a new show inning something this year? The recurring actress category looks poised for a non-Supernatural winner this year, if the semi-final voting is any clue. Gillian Anderson "Hannibal" led all actresses in the nomination round, and now in the semi-final voting with 244 votes. Runner up this round was a 2012 Best Guest star finalist Felicia Day "Supernatural" with an even 200 votes. Jamie Chung "Once Upon A Time" came in 3rd at 178 votes. A tie for 4th between Sarah Bolger "Once Upon A Time" & Lisa Edelstein "Castle" round out the top 5. The rest of the finalists are - Amanda Tapping "Supernatural", Anna Torv "Fringe", Alaina Huffman "Supernatural", Bex Taylor-Klaus "Arrow" & Natalie Dormer "Elementary" Missing the finals - Emma Lahana "Haven" by just 4 votes, Summer Glau "Arrow" by just 6 & Caity Lotz "Arrow" 12 back. Finalist last year in the category Yvonne Strahovski "Dexter" was 20 votes out of the finals this year for the same role. Finalist in 2011 in the same category with a different show Magda Apanowicz "Continuum" missed by 37 votes. On the recurring actor side. The Supernatural dominance seems to still be there. Osric Chau "Supernatural" a finalist last year, jumped out to a fast large lead & held on in the semi-finals with 204 votes. Raphael Sbarge "Once Upon A Time" made a late surge from nowhere to take 2nd at 174 votes. John Noble "Fringe" a staple of the best actor category (only 1 of 2 actors to make the finals 4 straight years in a category. Other - Jensen Ackles) in years past, now competing for the recurring role in the shows final season had 109 votes. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau "Game Of Thrones" & David Richmond-Peck "Orphan Black" round out the top 5. The rest of the semi-finalists are - Josh Jackson "Fringe", Richard Madden "Game Of Thrones", James Marsters "Warehouse 13", Adam Copeland "Haven" & Michael Socha "Once Upon A Time In Wonderland". The finals started January 5, 2014 in some categories. The Recurring categories will open later today. You can vote HERE The Best Director category in only its 2nd year & so far its been almost all Supernatural running away with it. Winning last years & runner up, they look poised to try & do that again this year with 4 finalists. Sexiest Actor & Actress12/27/2012 Here are the results for the Semi-finals categories of the Canadagraphs BEST OF TV AWARDS 2012.
This set of categories dealt with Favorite TV show & Character. Sexiest actor & actress FINALISTS are in BOLD text. The Favorite TV show category, a new 1 to the awards had very little in the way of surprises to me. The top 5 shows were basically45 of the top vote producing shows in these awards & 1 minor shocker. Lost Girl beat out Supernatural for top spot, while Hawaii Five-O nabbed a slightly surprising 3rd. Castle was 4th, Fringe 5th. A show that missed the list just barely, Person of Interest, which just proves if fan sites dont check the polls every couple of days, they might miss 1 of their nominees. Results for Favorite TV Show Semi-finals voting Lost Girl 589 Supernatural 319 Hawaii Five-O 215 Castle 106 Fringe 105 The Big Bang Theory 91 Dexter 75 Arrow 70 The Walking Dead 70 Game Of Thrones 68 Person Of INterest 49 Psych 45 Elementary 42 How I Met Your Mother 42 Burn Notice 37 Leverage 37 Revenge 36 Community 34 2 Broke Girls 26 Eureka 21 Favorite Character category has historically been dominated by Dean Winchester from "Supernatural" was still his, but only barely, as "Psych" fans pushed hard for Carlton Lassiter to narrowly come in 2nd. A bit back was an unexpected 3rd & 4th for "Dexter" star Dexter Morgan & Burton Guster from "Psych". Dr. Lauren Lewis from "Lost Girl" rounded out the top 5. Results for Favorite TV Character Semi-finals voting Dean Winchester "Supernatural" 938 Carlton Lassiter "Psych" 925 Dexter Morgan "Dexter" 643 Burton Guster "Psych" 603 Dr. Lauren Lewis "Lost Girl" 329 Bo "Lost Girl" 276 Peter Bishop "Fringe" 271 Richard Castle "Castle" 229 Parker "Leverage" 220 Castiel "Supernatural" 208 Kenzi "Lost Girl" 194 Sam Winchester "Supernatural" 186 Dr. Walter Bishop "Fringe" 171 Sam Axe "Burn Notice" 134 Kate Beckett "Castle" 128 Olivia Dunham "Fringe" 119 Emma Swan "Once Upon A Time" 108 Dr. Sheldon Cooper "The Big Bang Theory" 103 Barnet Stinson "How I Met Your Mother" 98 Shawn Spencer "Psych" 96 Michael Westen "Burn Notice" 93 Penny "The Big Bang Theory" 90 Oliver Queen/Arrow "Arrow" 88 Amy Farrah Fowler "The Big Bang Theory" 62 Damon Salvatore "The Vampire Diaries" 45 Sexiest Actor category is the only category open to TV & movie men, but it always seems to get dominated by the TV portion. No different this time as the top 5 spots were all taken by TV actors. Jensen Ackles, the winner last year was the leader again in this round. Misha Collins, Kris Holden Ried, Gale Harold & Jared Padalecki round out the top 5. Only 2 men Nathan Fillion & Henry Cavill are on the finalists list this year who were not last year.
