THIS BLOG POST IS FOR "THE FLASH" SEASON 5 EPISODE 4 (I believe.. could be 5), AND MAY CONTAIN POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR THE SEASON. If you have not seen the episode, and do not want to see or read possible spoilers about it prior to seeing it, do not continue reading the article or viewing the photos below. . . . last warning . . PLEASE LIMIT PHOTOS YOU POST ON YOUR ARTICLES, INSTAGRAM/TWITTER/OTHER SOCIAL MEDIA SITES POSTS TO FOUR MAXIMUM & credit this post (not just my twitter/instagram handle). Too many people in the last season & a bit have got comfortable with just posting ALL the photos & thus eliminating traffic from coming here. If you want these updates to continue this season, this has to STOP. I will be aggressively reporting those who opt to ignore this info from here on out for DMCA notices, or more. The Flash was shooting scenes for season 5 in downtown Vancouver last night. They were in an area known as Plaza Of Nations, which during its heydays used to be an entertainment area with an outdoor concert venue, a couple clubs and a casino. Nowadays, its mostly just a couple large empty buildings and an empty courtyard where the outdoor concert venue was. While many productions have used the facilities over the years, I THINK this is the first time I can recall The Flash there. Fair warning, the photos below are NOT the best quality. I never really found a good spot to shoot from. One side was bad because of the large white screens which gave everything a sort of "shadow" look, and even with all the brightening in the world, they still are pretty dark. On the other side.... just too much foot traffic in the way, plus the actual extras in the scene. Early in the day the cast & crew shot inside the building with Grant Gustin dressed as Barry Allen. I DID NOT see any other cast confirmed to be in there, but I did see Jessica Parker Kennedy and her double around there, dressed as XS. Whether they were inside filming or not, I cant say. Later, the shoot moved outside, where a crowd of maybe 50 people all well dressed stood, staring at a building in shock and horror. Grant, now dressed as The Flash in his NEW SUIT, was there with XS in the crowd. Suddenly he darts off, leaving his daughter to watch the building, which was dressed up to look like Central City Picture News. Was Iris there? I cant say. I did not see her around, but she could have been there, there was a lot of background people, it was dark, and I was far enough away that outside of those in superhero constumes, couldnt really be sure who was there. As for what I noticed about Grants new suit. Definitely sleeker, seemed less bulky. Seemed a bit brighter to me too, more in tune with how the John Wesley Shipp era Flash suit might have looked. Also, it looks like the top part of his head piece is separate from the rest. How it will look on scree, is still a mystery to be figured out. Guess we'll have to wait till October for that. Based on the date, these SHOULD be for episode 4... but theres a small chance they are for episode 5. The Flash shoots scenes for the season 4 finale with Grant Gustin, Neil Sandilands and ... If you want these updates to continue next season, this has to STOP. I will be aggressively reporting those who opt to ignore this info from here on out for DMCA notices, or more. The Flash was shooting scenes Thursday night/early Friday morning in the street in front of the old Canada Post building, and later in the courtyard in front of an old Bank across the street.. While the sight of the 3 actors that were on set wouldn't exactly be a shock to anyone, HOW they were seen on set might be in a couple of the cases. The evening started with fans being excited that Danielle Panabaker was there. But were disappointed as quickly when they found out she was just there to say hi to the crew before leaving town, as she had wrapped the day earlier. The actual filming night started with a shoot that saw Grant Gustin on set as his superhero persona The Flash shooting a scene with one of this seasons best additions to any show, Hartley Sawyer as Ralph Dibny. Of course, as we saw last episode, Ralph had his powers, and apparently his life, taken by Clifford Devoe. So seeing him on set was a mild shock for some, but seeing him back in his less than heroic looking original form of Ralph Dibny was more of a shock. In the scene, Flash seems to zip Dibny to a location before the pair have a short talk. During the talk it is pretty clear the clueless to being a hero Dibny was who we were looking at, as his look was one of mostly bewilderment and his body language was that of a slacker. After that scene, Hartley left, and Neil Sandilands showed up. I never actually saw the scenes Neil was shooting as the location had moved a bit off from where they were. But I know one thing.... he didnt have the Thinker Chair there. A couple hours later, Hartley returned.... this time dressed a bit differently. He was back in his Elongated Man outfit *which by the way, I never really noticed till i saw my photos up close on my screen, has "EM" on his belt). He then shot a scene with The Flash where the pair are standing in the street facing something... maybe Devoe? But I couldnt actually see if it was because of the angle they had us standing at prevented us from seeing what was at the other end of the street they were staring down. After the lunch break they shot a scene with The Flash and Elongated Man seemingly getting chased by a group of Devoe like clones. There were several men, all dressed the same and seemed to move in unison shooting a scene where they moved in on The Flash & EM before they would get away, causing the Devoe Gang to chase them. Last scene I saw was a more interesting one. The Flash stood around while The Elongated Man was battling & subduing The Elongated Man.The Flash wraps its 4th season of shooting tonight when they go back to the same location to finish off a couple parts they couldnt get in last night. Perhaps if you read this right away and get there in time..... you might see a scene where Harley Sawyer or Neil Sandilands are involved. They will be the only cast on set. The rest of the cast has wrapped for season 4. I have more photos of these scenes.... in fact, many more. I just put up a quick batch so that spoiler sites & youtubers could get to work on their stories for it. I will add those over the next week or so, so check back in a few days for more. The Flash was shooting scenes Friday night/early Saturday morning in the atrium of the main location of the Vancouver Public Library. The episode is being directed by frequent Arrowverse director & Jay & Silent Bob star, Kevin Smith. In a random funny twist, I actually ran into Kevin, along with The Flash scouting team at the Library last week checking out the location, so I knew they were eventually going to be filming at this location. In this series of scenes we finally see the return of our beloved Flash. After being released in episode 16,, Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash returns to his superhero ways. In this scene, Flash & Hartley Sawyer as Ralph Dibney/ Elongated Man (my first look at Hartley in the outfit) were filming scenes tonight where the pair were trying to stop this weeks villain of the week, Bethany Brown aka Null, from causing havoc at a party. At one point, Null, who in the comics has the ability to make people float, has The Flash levitating before Null drops The Flash, forcing Elongated Man to try and save him. Will he succeed? Or will this be the end for the Scarlet Speedster?. On Monday, the crew & cast moved to the Vancouver Art gallery to shoot a very short scene there. In this scene Grant, and Bethany (PHOTOS AND REPORT COMING SOON) shot a scene where Null is leaving a jewelry store with a bag full of items before being stopped by The Flash. In an instant she went from getting away to in metapower dampening cuffs.... but Null had 1 more trick ins tore for The Flash, and because of her trick, Barry had to drop what he was doing to take care of that. Also yes.... there was a MIME in the background of the scene. Watching him run away was throughly entertaining.... which I had got some video of that. I will add MORE PHOTOS soon.... but for now, I know a lot of people wanted to know who this episodes villain is.... so I present to you.... NULL. With the crossover episode firmly in the crews rear view mirror, the production can move forward with the rest of their season. The Flash were working on episode 409 in downtown Vancouver last night with a large crowd of onlookers peering from across the street of their production. In an opening scene, they had the shows star Grant Gustin on set doing a scene as Barry Allen with Candice Patton playing Iris West (or is it Iris West Allen now?) his recently married wife. The pair seemed to be walking along in Central City doing some Christmas shopping before Barry is mysteriously yanked away into an alley. A bit later, the production team moved out a prop chair into the top of the alley. Instantly fans of the show assumed it was the chair for The Thinker. Sure enough, they were right. Neil Sandilands aka Clifford Devoe aka The Thinker took his place in his high tech throne and hovered over the alleway that Barry was yanked in to for a short scene that took longer for them to get him in and out of the chair than it did to shoot it seemed. A bit later they moved further into the alley, and out of prying eyes. But it was the publics first chance to see The Thinker in person. While we have seen him on screen now in both of the seasons episodes, what we had not seen till now was him roaming around Central City. Now that we know he can & will.... expect to see a lot more from him down the road I suspect. If you have not seen the episode, and do not want to see or read possible spoilers about it prior to seeing it, do not continue reading the article or viewing the photos below. . . . last warning . . Today was the day that the worst kept secret in the Arrowverse happened. Of course, depending how you feel about particular ships in the Arrowverse, this was joyous, or the death of the franchise in your mind. A duo wedding took place today. Yes, a DUO WEDDING. With the crossover episodes almost done filming, the cast of The Flash and Arrow found themselves shooting a scene on LOT today with no LOT cast in the scenes. The scene consisted of Arrow cast members Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak and David Ramsey as John Diggle, along with The Flash stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen and Candice Patton as Iris West shooting a scene in downtown Stanley Park for the much hyped double wedding between the commonly shipped duos West Allen & Olicity. While Barry & Iris looked dressed for the occasion, it was pretty clear the Arrow characters wedding plans were pretty spur of the moment, as they were both dressed in casual clothes. The ceremonies were officiated by Arrow character John Diggle. For reasons that I am sure the storylines will eventually explain, neither of the couples friends or family were in attendance. The couples instead, acted as each others witnesses. The scene starts with Diggle appearing, clearly after Barry speeds him there. Diggle freaks out, then goes and vomits, before coming back to the two couples, and after a brief talk, starts the ceremony. At the end of the ceremony, the two couples kiss, then the scene ends. While many fans on both sides are outraged that their couple had to share their moment with the other, many others were just as overjoyed to know their couple of choice at least finally were married. Earlier in the day scenes were shot with Barry, Iris, Oliver & Felicity, along with characters from Legends Of Tomorrow and Supergirl. I will have a blog on that shoot at a later date.... but for now.... enjoy shippers. On this shoot, I caught the crew and cast of The Flash shooting scenes over 2 (technically 3 if you include the overnight shoots) days shooting scenes in & around an alley in downtown Vancouver. During The daytime they would shoot scenes out on the street. On the first day, those scenes included Grant Gustin and Candice Patton shooting a scene as Barry Allen & Iris West where they both find themselves looking up at "something". On the second day, a scene with Grant & Jesse L Martin as Barry & Joe West was shot where they are interacting on the opposite side of the street. Of course, on set at all times was The Flash star, Tom Cavanagh. Mr. Cavanagh was making his 2nd appearance as a director for the show. There was not a lot to tell from the scenes, as they were pretty generic scenes. There was also night scenes during both of those shoots, with a few different cast involved. I will have a post on those shoots coming up in the near future that will include the first looks at 1 of the shows advertised guest stars/recurring stars for this season.... so watch for that, The Flash returns to The CW in the U.S. on October 10,2017 and to CTV in Canada If you want to see my past behind the scene shots for The Flash go HERE If you want to see my autograph gallery for The Flash go HERE THIS IS A POST ABOUT SCENES SHOT FOR THE FLASH SEASON 3 FINALE. IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THIS EPISODE, AND DONT WANT TO SEE OR READ ABOUT ANY POSSIBLE SPOILERS FROM THE EPISODE, DO NOT CONTINUE READING OR VIEWING THE PHOTOS BELOW. . . . . last warning . . * - article revised to include information after the episode aired. Original article stated Anne Dudek (Tracy Brand) and not Michelle Harrison (Nora Allen) was in the scene. It is info that was on the official call sheet for the day. The Flash shot several scenes out in public in the last week of filming, including the much talked about Funeral scene HERE. This set is about their 2 night shoots. The first one was the same night as the funeral scene. They moved to B.C. Place to shoot the big spoilery finale scene you have likely seen almost everywhere. In the scene, you can see Grant Gustin (Barry Allen), Tom Cavanagh (Harrison Wells), John Wesley Shipp (Jay Garrick), Jesse L Martin (Joe West), Keiynan Lonsdale (Wally West), Candice Patton (Iris West), Carlos Valdes (Cisco Ramon), Tom Felton (Julian Albert), Jessica Camacho (Gypsy) and Michelle harrison (Nora Allen) The scene shows Barry go around to everyone in the group and say some good byes to them, including a kiss with Iris, before he turns around, and for reasons I dont really know.... leaves with Nora*. In the other night scene shot a few days later at Victory Square. The crew and cast shot scenes in the same location we all know as where Iris dies in episode 309. A few cast were there at various times throughout the night....but I was too tired to stay in the wet weather to watch it all happen. Tom Cavanagh, Jesse L Martin, Candice Patton and Grant Gustin were all scheduled to work that night. I only saw Gustin and Patton working during the time I was there. What I did see though was a confrontation between The Flash & Savitar. Grant was doing scenes where he holds a big ass gun and shoots at Savitar. But does he hit him?? the way the scene plays out, it seems he doesnt. You can catch The Flash on Tuesday nights on The CW in the U.S.A. and on CTV in Canada.
