THIS BLOG POST IS FOR A "THE FLASH" SEASON 7 (either episode 3, or 4. I believe its 3, but I can not confirm it), AND MAY CONTAIN POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR THE SEASON. If you have not seen the episode, and do not want to see or read possible spoilers about it prior to seeing it, do not continue reading the article or viewing the photos below. . . . last warning . . The Flash was on location for season 7 shooting at B.C. Place Stadium (better know as the exterior for S.T.A.R. Labs) on Thursday & Friday nights. This is part 2 of this 2 night set. You can find my 1st part blog HERE. On this second night. A lot happened, so I split it into 2 posts. This portion of the blog will focus on the later scenes. Which adds more context into the first part sets cliff hanger. As well, as show another scene that was shot late at night with some additions to the scene. The early part of the night was committed to continuing on from the other nights scene which seemed to mostly consist of a battle between Grant Gustin as The Flash and Efrat Dor as Eva McCulloch / Mirror Master / Mirror Mistress. As I stated in the other blog, Candice Patton joined this scene on the 2nd night to do a scene where she can be seen holding hands with Eva, and even consoling her. As I also said in that post, you can just barely see The Flash reaching out towards Eva, but what was his plan? Well, his plan was.... to join her. To hold hands with her. The trio stood on the steps together looking out at something. What were they looking at? What had these former foes seemingly teaming up? It appears a plethora of Mirror Mistress clones. As there was somewhere in the range of 6 to 8 actresses running around dressed like Eva shooting their arm cannons at a variety of background who were running around in a panic. In the background, a car was burning while this all went on. Does the new trio team win this battle? It seems so. While we never see them fight them in any way other than to hold hands and stare towards them, eventually they act like they won, and it is over. There was also a scene shot that I did not have photos of, but I do have a video clip that I will post in the next week or so, where you see a couple of these Mirror Mistress clones with their arm cannons pointed at The Flash, who is kneeling on the ground between the pair. Eventually they leave as Eva takes over. That scene SEEMS to be immediately before Iris comes over to Eva. But I can not 100% confirm the airing order of those scenes. The late night scene, that happened after their midnight lunch break saw the same trio there, now joined by 2 additional characters. Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon (or is he.... VIBE??) and Danielle Panabaker in her 1st public shoot since becoming a new mom in real life, as Killer Frost join the trio on the stair case. Cisco pulls off his Vibe looking glasses as the group looks out towards the scene unfolding in front of them. The way they were lined up looks like any photo from a promo shot of a cast I have ever seen. Is Eva joining Team Flash as a regular? Or is this her farewell redemption arc, like Marlize Devoe a couple seasons ago?
Through out the 2 nights, they frequently would shoot their big reaction full view scenes on the staircase facing the street. But for the more close up takes, would move back into the plaza more, and film them while they were standing sideways from the street, probably due to the fact it would be unsafe for them to set up so close to the stairs to do these shots, thus why a few shots it seems like I am "behind/to the side" of them for what seems like the same scene. There will be plenty of video from these 2 nights to post in the next week or so, so come back to find those then, or you can subscribe to my Youtube channel and get them there when they drop. The Flash season 7 will air Tuesday nights on The CW in the U.S. starting February 23, 2021. You can now get exclusive first looks on our Patreon ahead of these blog posts. THIS BLOG POST IS FOR A "THE FLASH" SEASON 5 EPISODE 22 AND MAY CONTAIN POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR THE SEASON. The Flash was shooting scenes for episode 522 earlier this month in downtown Vancouver. On night one of their 2 night shoot, there was a scene that had several cast on set. Grant Gustin, Jessica Parker Kennedy, Danielle Panabaker, Hartley Sawyer, Carlos Valdes, Tom Cavanagh and Candice Patton. I caught a few moments sporadically throughout their shoots where I got a couple short videos. Apologies in advance if you are not happy with the video quality. Feel free to buy me a top quality video camera, and I will shoot better videos. But THESE were done with my $500 Camera (not video specific camera), and from 2 city blocks away. Lastly, when you are out at night looking at it on a 2 inch screen, it looks a lot better than when you finally get it home and see it on a 20 inch computer screen. In the first video below, I merged 3 different clips together featuring all the cast at different points. UPDATED APRIL 22, 2019 - 3:50 PM - More clips added at the bottom. There was also a scene shot with Grant Gustin, Jessica Parker Kennedy and Tom Cavanagh a bit later that I made a separate video for below.. You can find photos from the finale shoots HERE and HERE The Flash airs on The CW in the U.S. on Tuesdays. You may NOT make 3 posts of just 1 part. Please make note of this rare bonus permission. The Flash was shooting scenes for episode 522 Wednesday night and Thursday night in Granville Plaza. Oddly enough, a location they used for last years finale. This time however, they were calling it "Central City Plaza" and had a fake hotel sign out there. The scene had Grant Gustin as The Flash, Carlos Valdes as Vibe, Danielle Panabaker as Killer Frost, Hartley Sawyer as Elongated Man, Jessica Parker Kennedy as XS and Candice Patton as Iris West Allen shooting a scene with 1 other vry notable cast member on set. Tom Cavanagh was also there, but this time, not as Sherloque Wells, but as long time recurring villain Reverse Flash. Unlike the day before, when I showed up to a shoot for The Flash that lasted less than 2 hours, they used up every second they could this time, as the filming notices they have to hand out to businesses said they would film till 5:30 AM, and I can confirm that at almost 5 AM, a couple cast members were still there filming when I finally left. It is quite rare for an overnight shoot to use up every minute they can. Usually these notices say "5:30" but they are usually done by "3:00" (or some time frame around couple hours short of what they say they need). Of course the big spoiler on this set was that Grant Gustin had his 3 dogs at the set...... okay, and I guess, the Reverse Flash at some point gets out and is causing havoc. I was unable to confirm if this scene is in current day, or in 2049. But with the entire hero squad, and their blogger friend there, I feel it was a current day scene. The scene seemed to be splintered into parts, so I was really unable to really follow what all happens. All I can say is, the whole team lines up against Reverse Flash and lots of talking seems to take place. At one point they did a scene with just Flash & RF, and it seems like Flash AGAIN lets RF run away. But I cant say with certainty since like I said, the scene really seemed to be broken down into a lot of small parts that could play out in any random order on screen. There are MANY MORE photos from this set, but I wanted to get a few up right away for everyone to start talking about. So check back in a day or 2 to see a few more. I also have some photos from a daytime scene from the day before this shoot of Grant and Candice doing a scene, I will try to get to that this weekend. But obviously because of the importance of these scenes, I had to work on this one first. UPDATED: APRIL 12, 2019 - 12:30 AM - An extra photo added from Twitter user @TheMysciraBound that I asked her to send me, because it was a bit more crisp & clear front shot than any I got of Reverse Flash (I believe for a stunt scene). UPDATED: APRIL 16, 2019 - 7:45 PM - More photos added, from night 2 of filming at the bottom. Plus some details on the last night of filming. The Flash returns to TV for the end of season run on The CW in the U.S. on Tuesday after a few weeks off with the episode that I shot a couple months ago HERE and a short video HERE. If you want to see my past behind the scene shots for The Flash go HERE If you want to see my autograph gallery for The Flash go HERE Night 2 of shooting had much of the same..... except this time, there was the always present random smoke that The CW shows love to use so much. I think maybe 3 or 4 times in my life have I walked down a street or past an alley and seen as much steam/smoke coming out of it as these shows claim exists. Sometimes I find the smoky effect helps with photos, sometimes it hinders. On this night, I would say hinders. Especially when saddled with the fact I had to shoot from an extra 25 metres away this time. All the same cast were on set, again, shooting scenes with all the heroes, and Iris, facing off against Thawne. I saw moments where Killer Frost, Vibe, and Elongated Man, all at different times, seemed to be trying to use their powers. I am not sure what the context was of them using them, but each of them at some point seem to be using their special skills in this battle. At the end of the night, which was just a shade before 5:30 AM, the cast left. I chatted with Grant about his new hairdo while signed a few autographs for me, and he assured me it wont be on screen like that. He was going to be in his costume for the scenes after when he got the cut, so it was all good for continuity. So dont worry fans, Barry did not lose a fight with a razor. I chatted with Hartley and Jessica for a moment, and told both of them to enjoy their breaks, and they both thanked me for saying so. Of course, the big moment came when Carlos Valdes was leaving. I asked him again, as I did back during filming for episode 17, if he was coming back. This time, his answer was an emphatic "of course", and I said "ok, great, guess I'll see you next season" and he replied back "and I'll see YOU next season". So it sounds like you can count in Carlos for at least 1 more season on The Flash. That was the end of season 5 of The Flash filming. Enjoy these extra few (albeit quite grainy/fuzzy due to how far away I had to stand) photos from night #2 of filming. The Flash was shooting scenes for episode 521 last month in downtown Vancouver. On night one of their 2 night shoot, there was a scene that had several cast on set. Grant Gustin, Jessica Parker Kennedy, Hartley Sawyer, Carlos Valdes and Candice Patton. I never caught them actually shooting the scene when I was shooting a video. But I did get them hanging around waiting to shoot a scene still in their own everyday clothes. In this one, you see Grant dancing a bit. I did miss the start of his dancing, but caught the very end of it. Down at the bottom, there are links to my photos from these shoots that DO explain the scene they were there doing. There was a scene shot the 2nd night with Grant Gustin as The Flash, Sarah Carter as Cicada, and Jessica Parker Kennedy as XS. Here are a couple takes of that scene being shot. You may NOT make 3 posts of just 1 part. Please make note of this rare bonus permission. The Flash was shooting scenes for episode 521 late yesterday at the back of the Law Courts in downtown Vancouver. A location they have used in the past (albeit slightly different part) as they were there for episode 209 when Mark Hamill used to still slip in for a year appearance. This was their 2nd night there in a row. You can find night 1 details and photos HERE. On this night the crew and a large portion of the cast shot several scenes that mostly seemed like continuations of the scene shot the night before with a couple small changes. The scenes shot this night included much of the same cast as the night before, but 1 addition, and 1 subtraction from the previous days work. A daytime scene was shot with Tom Cavanagh as Sherloque Wells and Kimberly Williams Paisley as Renee Adler (photos of this scene will be added later). It had Sherloque running hastily down a street to catch up to Renee who was sitting on a bench. The pair talk for a couple minutes, with Sherloque at one point trying to seem to drag her away, before Renee pauses that idea, and the pair talk. During the talk, Sherloque shows Renee something, and the look on her face was 1 of "what? seriously?" but what was it that had a meta-human so amazed? Sherloque seemed to be showing her an extrapolator. Was he giving it to her? or, was he showing it to her to tell her he could come and see her at any time? Is Sherloque saying his last good byes to Earth 1? The pair moved to a scene up on the upper courtyard of the law building after that, which gave me time to go home and get a quick nap before the night scenes. Once the night shoots started, they had 3 cast come in to shoot some scenes. Sometimes they were by themselves, sometimes with just 2 of them, and a few times with all 3 of them. Grant Gustin as The Flash, Jessica Parker Kennedy as XS and Sarah Carter as Cicada (or Shecada as many are calling her now). In the scene, it seems Flash & XS try to attack her with 1 of their lightning throws, and Shecada just stands there unfazed by it. She then does her classic jump away while Flash & XS seem to cower from the action. A couple interesting observations of Shecada in this scene was first of all, no respirator. Secondly, looks like she went and got her hair done. Now sporting tight braids on the side of her head. She also seems to be donning an almost all leather suit now. Lastly, she was carrying around a device that looked to me like the type of claw you see on 1 of those machines in malls where you can "win" a stuffed animal if you can pick it up with this 3 pronged "claw". What was it for? She never seemed to use it for anything really. Just carried it around. UPDATE: 4:15 PM, March 23, 2018 - Photos of Sherloque & Renee night scene, as well as Vibe and Elongated Man scene & Shecada scene added below. UPDATE: 12:00 PM, March 24, 2018 - Photos of Sherloque and Renee from daytime scene added at the bottom. The Flash airs on The CW in the U.S. on Tuesdays. If you want to see my past behind the scene shots for The Flash go HERE If you want to see my autograph gallery for The Flash go HERE Some more solo Shecada scenes were done of her walking down the same stair case that Sherloque and Renee were just looking up at. I dont like to assume things, but the angle of it all strongly suggests its Shecada that Sherloque and Renee were fending off. There was then a scene shot with Carlos Valdes as Vibe and Hartley Sawyer as Elongated Man. The pair breach in to the area where everything has been going on, walk down the stairs, and are confronted with something. Vibe points a gun type device at the mystery item/person, before the two seem to be knocked down. After Carlos and Hartley wrapped, they went back to shooting more scenes with Shecada. But the angle was mostly covered by equipment and crew, so I gave up on seeing what else there might have been. Much like the first night, each cast member stopped to meet with some fans (although a couple of them were far more hurried in leaving than the day before). I managed more autographs form the cast this night, as Tom, Carlos, Hartley, Jessica & Kimberly all signed for me at various times of the day and night. I brought up the fact that Carlos had to endure so many people asking him about his plans with the show at the Fan Expo, and his reaction was mostly what I would call awkward embarrassment. He seemingly laughed it off. I told him whatever he does next, I wish him luck, and he replied with a very sincere "thanks man" before he left. I think he was just relieved to not be asked again. This rumour has clearly made the rounds so much, I even had a crew member ask me the first night if it was true he was leaving. As promised when I posted this blog post initially, here are photos from the daytime scene between Tom Canvagh and Kimberly Williams Paisley. THIS BLOG POST IS FOR A "THE FLASH" SEASON 5 EPISODE 17 TITLED "TIME BOMB", AND MAY CONTAIN POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR THE SEASON. If you have not seen the episode, and do not want to see or read possible spoilers about it prior to seeing it, do not continue reading the article or viewing the photos below. . . . last warning . . If I file a takedown notice on you, it really is on you for not educating yourself. If you are confused on how many you can post, ASK FIRST, and I will let you know. The Flash was shooting scenes for episode 517, directed by Rob Greenlea, on Cambie Street, across from Victory Square (Flash fans probably know Victory Square better as the place Savitar kills Iris) in the early part of the day. The crew then moved in to an alley just off Hamilton Street on the other side of the square in downtown Vancouver. The daytime scenes were interesting, although a casual passer by might not have known why (to be honest, I did not either right away). A scene was shot in the morning with the stunt team showing a couple going up to an ATM before it explodes on them, sending the pair flying thru the air. This scene really seemed to have no importance when you see it JUST as the way they filmed it. But later, when they moved to shooting a scene in a minivan you realize why this scene is so interesting. The couple gets out of the minivan, heads to the ATM, and after the accident, a small girl in the minivan screams...... if you have been watching this season much then you are probably already connecting the dots. The young girl in the minivan is of course Islie Hirvonen, better known as Grace Gibbons, the niece of Cicada. It is then clear that what we were watching is the scene where Grace sees her parents get killed. But why? how? Thats a mystery we will have to wait and see. I did not really photograph the couple because I thought they were going to have more work to do, and was waiting for a better angle to appear. Instead, the production re-set with a close tight view of the minivan to capture Graces reaction. I managed to snag 1 photo of Islie after she completed her shooting, and was waiting to get picked up to go back to the trailers. Shortly after this scene ended, a different scene at the ATM took place with a mystery woman in a hoodie. This woman went up, and used the ATM without consequences. Was this to show that not everyone had a problem with the machine? Or, was this woman the reason the machine became a problem for Graces parents? They then filmed scenes where a leaf blower was shooting money through the air. After that short scene, they started filming with main cast. Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon and Jessica Parker Kennedy as Nora West-Allen shot scenes outside the same ATM machine where the trio seem to be investigating the machine. Cisco at one point seems to vibe the machine, and seems mortified by what he sees. After a couple hours of filming that scene, they wrapped that location, with Jessica & Grant getting wrapped for the day. I managed to get a few Grant Gustin autographs as he left the set, I asked him how he liked working in the Green Arrow costume compared to his own. He said he loved it (he has benn pretty open about how much he dislikes the way his own suit feels), said it was like "working in pyjamas". I then got Carlos Valdes shortly after, as Carlos was walking over to the next location, his day was not done. I tried asking him about the rumour he might be leaving the show, and his reply to it was simply "I'm not the writers", suggesting that it isnt up to him, as much as if the writers decide he is done. The crew went on lunch break after having Carlos and Hartley Sawyer do a quick run through of the scene they were going to do after lunch. After the lunch break, the sun was gone, and it was time to shoot some night scenes. Carlos and Hartley came back from lunch, but they were not dressed in the attire they did the run through in. Instead Hartley was now dressed as Elongated Man, and Carlos was dressed as........ VIBE. Yes, you read that right, by episode 17, Cisco is able to go out dressed as Vibe again. So I am guessing Cicada finds out the truth by then. The pair shoot a scene in an alley where they seem to notice something off to the side of them, and then go towards it. Also, a scene was shot where it appears that Cisco creates a portal and they go thru it. During one unusually longer than usual break between takes, Carlos started dancing in the alley, and it went on for several minutes, while Hartley joined in occasionally a couple times for a few seconds. After Hartley left, I called it a night. So I dont know what might have been filmed after that. Carlos still seemed to be there. Could there be a Vibe VS Cicada scene? Or perhapswe see Vibe doing some solo work? We will all just have to wait and see I guess. The Flash airs on The CW in the U.S. on Tuesdays. It is on Netflix the day after the episode airs in most, or all countries. The Flash shoots scenes for season 4 episode 4 with Grant Gustin, Carlos Valdes and new guest stars9/26/2017 THIS BLOG POST IS FOR "THE FLASH" SEASON 4 EPISODE 4 "ELONGATED JOURNEY INTO NIGHT" AND MAY CONTAIN POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR THE EPISODE. If you have not seen the episode, and do not want to see or read possible spoilers about it prior to seeing it, do not continue reading the article or viewing the photos below. . . . last warning . . As I said in my last blog post there was going to be some shots from night scenes they shot on those days. Unlike the daytime scenes, everything was pretty much different for the night shoot. The only constant being director Tom Cavanagh on set. To start off, No one from the West family was on set for them, and Grant Gustin was now dressed as The Flash instead of Barry Allen. Also, Carlos Valdes was on set as Vibe. But the big "oooh aaahhh" of this article was, this was the first chance people had to see "Machete" star Danny Trejo as Breacher, as well, Hartley Sawyer was on set as the Elongated Man. The scenes seemed to be dominated by Trejo, as his character was first throwing around The Flash & Elongated Man while they seemed to be in a heated altercation. Later on, they still had Elongated Man where he was for much of the shoot.... on the ground, but instead, Vibe was suddenly in and facing off with Breacher, and seemingly made Breacher stand down. There was also a scene they shot a couple takes of with a man dressed like a detective looking like he was trying to shoot at Elongated Man and presumably The Flash saves him as in the next angle, hes standing there holding Elongated Man and the shooter no longer has a gun.
