If you are confused on how many you can post, ASK FIRST, and I will let you know. The Flash was on location for the season 7 finale. After catching them at several locations for the penultimate episode (their 150th episode) earlier this month, I wondered if I would see them out for the finale as much. Last 2 nights, I got my first look at them on location for the season 7 finale. As I reported in my 1st report on the finale HERE, The Flash cast & crew were doing scenes around Science World. On this night, they were working on continuations from the night befores big fight. Grant Gustin was there as The Flash, Tom Cavanagh as Reverse Flash, and recently identified by Youtuber Pagey, (and confirmed by me at the set after he told me the name) Karan Oberoi was there as Godspeed. Their stunt doubles were all there too, as you can see from 1 of the photos below where all 6 of them are in 1 shot between takes, but I saw almost no use of them while I was there, only 1 I saw being used was Godspeeds double. Unlike the night prior, these scenes had a different twist on what we were seeing shot the night before. This time, we see Godspeed seemingly beating The Flash again, doing his chest power suction thing, when this time Reverse Flash sneaks up on Godspeed, waits for him to turn around, and stabs him thru the chest with 1 of those mystery green sticks. Godspeed crumples to the ground, seemingly dead. Barry run over to check on him, seeming to show concern for the fallen "god", then yells at Reverse Flash "what have you done?", the pair then stand and have a conversation, Barry obviously looking displeased, while Eobard stood there with an I did what had to be done because you wouldnt feel to his posture. Then we see Thawne try to punch Barry, and Barry dips out of the way (similar to what I saw Mirror Monarch do to him back earlier this season) and as his fist goes by his face, Barry grabs Reverse Flashs arm, and simulates a hip toss, sending Eobard about 60 feet away onto the ground. When he gets up, Barry zips over, and they have ANOTHER conversaiton, where Eobard yells at Barry "I made you", before looking at himself with his arms down in front of him for some reason, then they stand off for a few more seconds (maybe Barry speaks? I didnt have a good view of his side), before Reverse Flash runs off. Barry then turns around, and runs over to the body of Godspeed, and the scene ends. There will be some video from these scenes to post in the next couple weeks, so come back to find those then, or you can subscribe to my Youtube channel and get them there when they drop. UPDATE - 9:00 PM May 22, 2021 - Godspeed actors name added, Karan Oberoi The Flash was on location for the season 7 finale. After catching them at several locations for the penultimate episode (their 150th episode) earlier this month, I wondered if I would see them out for the finale as much. Last night, and early this morning, I got my first look at them on location for the season 7 finale. An early in the day location at a place just outside of the downtown core I did not get to in time to see any filming, but I do have a minor tidbit to add to the blog at a later date from there. But onto what you really came here for.... The Flash cast & crew were filming on an overnight shoot outside Science World in the area between the downtown core, and Olympic Village. Grant Gustin was on set as The Flash. There was also a Godspeed on set, and I actually heard the guy speaking this night (plus I also saw him I believe at a set for 7x17), so is THE Godspeed? (update - Karan Oberoi is the name playing Godspeed) But 1 person I had not planned on seeing, was the recently announced to be leaving, Tom Cavanagh. If thats not a crazy enough spoiler for you..... The scenes the trio did, all were part of a fight scene. It starts with The Flash & Godspeed in a battle that eventually sees Godspeed with the upper hand, and seemingly ready to kill Barry, when someone comes in to stop him. Is it Frost? Vibe? One of his kids? NO! REVERSE FLASH! That is correct, Tom is back as Reverse Flash, AND he helped Barry out in his fight with Godspeed. After Reverse Flash sends Godspeed flying across the courtyard, Barry slowly gets partially up, before Reverse Flash puts out a hand to help him up, and Barry accepts. The pair get up, and then seemingly head into the next part of the fight. Much later, after lunch, they did a scene I saw them rehearse early in the night with the trio in a fight with glowing green sticks (I did think at first they were light sabers, but they sounded more wooden sadly). In the fight, Godspeed fights off the pair. The only part of any dialogue I ever really heard crystal clear was "you cant kill a God" coming from Godspeed. What all does this mean???? Is Reverse Flash getting a redemption arc? Is this a temporary alliance to take on a more problematic foe for both of them? We will have to wait & see. There will be some video from these scenes to post in the next couple weeks, so come back to find those then, or you can subscribe to my Youtube channel and get them there when they drop. The last shot is of the actual actor that had speaking lines in the Godspeed outfit, and had his own trailer. So I ASSUME this is the official Godspeed. If you are confused on how many you can post, ASK FIRST, and I will let you know. The Flash was on location for season 7 shooting on Friday morning, afternoon and evening for episode 717. The director is Eric Dean Seaton, he directed the The Exorcism Of Nash Wells episode last season. This is also the 150th episode for the series. There was 2 parts to this blog... if you saw the 1st set of photos previously & think you saw everything in here already, there is a 2nd set of photos at the bottom that were added later. At this 2nd location, they had Grant Gustin as The Flash, Jessica Parker Kennedy as XS, and Jordan Fisher as Impulse, all on location again with 6 Godspeeds. The scene was vaguely similar to the episode 7x15 set I shot a few weeks ago, except this time Barrys kids were beside him to witness the insanity. The 6 Godspeed clones all seemed to be fighting each other, while the trio of heroes stood, and watched them do it.... then, the trio ran off in different directions. That was it. The last location of the day took place a block away at (report coming as soon as I have the photos edited) an area they have used a fair bit this season (not exactly where they were, but that general block), in front of the new Parq Hotel, The Douglas Hotel, and the new casino that are at the back of B.C. Place Stadium. With these businesses all either closed, or at severe reduced capacity, it was easy for the to get permission to use this street on a Friday afternoon. The Douglas was dressed up to say "CC CITIZEN MEDIA", The entrance for the casino said "Powers Technology" which in the comics is a rival of Wayne Enterprises, and the Parq Hotel said "Goode World Studios", which is a reference to te Young Justice animated series, where that company exists. On set for this scene was Jordan Fisher as Bart Allen / Impulse, and Jessica Parker Kennedy as Nora West Allen / XS. The scene I saw shot was a little complicated to follow because of the way they were chopping it up into small parts for the filming. From what I can sort of piece together.... Godspeed is looking menacing, arms up in the air, then ends up getting KO'ed. Then both Godspeed & XS are on the ground (so was XS on the ground all along, and the camera didnt see it the way they were filming?). At some point XS gets up, and then Godspeed sits up does something with his arm that seems like maybe hes trying to make 1 last attempt to do something, before falling back down. Somewhere mixed in all of this is Impulse letting out a couple really loud "Woooo" sounds, and then we see XS & Impulse having a talk with Godspeed out cold behind them. Bart is all happy & seems like hes trying to tell Nora its all good, while Nora seems to be telling him something in a more stern "take this serious" tone. They then look back at the Godspeed on the ground, go back to their convo, then turn around again, and he isnt there. They then walk a bit towards where he should have been, and that was the end of the scene. Just before I left, they were prepping to do stunts with Noras stunt double, I am assuming that was going to be the part where Nora also ends up down and out on the ground with Godspeed that I saw the after result of. There was a scene earlier in the day, that set report is HERE There will be some video from these scenes to post in the next couple weeks, so come back to find those then, or you can subscribe to my Youtube channel and get them there when they drop. The director is Eric Dean Seaton, he directed the The Exorcism Of Nash Wells episode last season. This is also the 150th episode for the series. On this day, they had 3 locations. The first, was a small quiet, rarely used side street not far from the location they use for S.T.A.R. Labs exteriors, and just a block down the road from where Abra Kadabra was killed by Fuerza earlier this season. This early morning shoot had Grant Gustin as The Flash, along with returning star Jessica Parker Kennedy as XS, along with recently announced new addition to the cast, Jordan Fisher, as Bart Allen, aka Impulse. For this scene, they started with stunts, as the stunt double for Impulse did a scene where he, and 1 of the several Godspeeds that were on the set, are thrown across the pavement. Both of them ge tup quickly, and face off, but soon, Impulse finds himself surrounded by a gang of 6 Godspeeds. They raise their arms up, Impulse cowers..... and then the Godspeeds just leave.... a moment later, XS & The Flash come in, and the family have a chat. There were a couple other scenes done on the day at other locations I will get to in a later blog post sometime this weekend, or early next week. The director is Geoff Shotz, he directed the Alls Wells That Ends Wells episode earlier this season. The cast & crew of The Flash were busy in downtown Vancouver Friday, with 3 different location shoots (although 2 of them were across the street from each other) In the daytime scene, at the CBC building, they were filming a short little scene that had 2 characters on set. But who were these two characters?? Well, one was the returninf fan favorite villain Godspeed. He was joined by..... Godspeed. Yes, there was multiple Godspeeds, and no, it wasnt a cast of 1 being a stand in, or stunt double for the other. They were both in frame for the filming when they were rolling. I dont know how long they hare been filming before I got there. But they shot this scene for about 15-20 minutes while I was there. It essentially had the pair of Godpseeds standing there, looking around for a moment, and that was it. But it gave me a chance to photograph them in the daytime, so I'm okay with whatever the scene was for. In the background of the scene, they has some U.S. flags flying, a sign for the entrance to the Central City Museum, and them a bit further back, was an ad for Big Belly Burger, featuring their uhhh "new double cheeseburger"??? Seriously? I'm supposed to believe a major burger franchise in the U.S. somehow DID NOT have a double cheeseburger on their menu from day one? Anyways, the crew then crossed the street to the exterior of the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, which they have renamed to the Central City Theater. Beside it, they changed a restaurant theres name to "Taco Whiz". Which left me confused. Is it like a Cheese Whiz, but taco flavoured? Or did they name their taco establishment after how fast they will go through your body? In any case, doesnt sound appetizing. Outside of there, the crew filmed a few small scenes, all with Grant Gustin or his stunt double Cody Laudan as The Flash. First scene had Cody getting thrown across the lot by a couple of the Godspeeds. It was a short scene, so I saw 1 take of it. So I am unsure if more stunts were done after, as I left for a bit to go fgrab food, and when we came back, they were setting up for the next shot. Grant finally got on set, and did a scene were he comes zipping in, and observing something weird (I'll get to that in a minute), or being surrounded by the Godspeeds, which now totaled 6 for this scene. Yes, you read that right, there was now SIX Godspeed clones (I know on twitter it was said there was 7, but there was 6.... but at the time of the users tweet, it was fair to be mistaken, as they were all moving around before filming). In the scene, all surrounding Barry as he was on the ground. A bit later, the most WTF moment of the night happened. Barry comes zipping into the scene, looks around, and sees the group of Godpseeds..... having a Royal Rumble. The 6 pack og Godspeeds were all fighting each other, in pairs, and Barrys body language seemed to have a n "ummm ok, what?" look to it. After they finished those scenes, they did a bit more of the fighting scene of the Godspeeds, as Grant left for a long break. I also chose to leave at that time, and headed to their 3rd location, unaware at the time I'd be waiting FOREVER for that one to start. During the break at one point, Grant went over and chatted with a couple of the Godspeeds, which made for a fairly entertaining set of photos, as it looks like hes trying to use the power of love to talk Godspeed out of doing bad things, but it was actually just in between takes. Down the street about 3 blocks away, they were also set up for The Flash to film at. This one was at B.C. Place Stadium. For those that are observant, you know that is the location they use for the exterior of S.T.A.R. Labs, but, they have also used it for other things. But on this day, it was in fact, S.T.A.R. Labs, as the signage outside B.C. Place showed. Now I spent quite a while there waiting for them to film, and they didnt get to filming till close to 2 AM. When they finally did, there was nearly nothing to be seen. So little, that the few photos I did get it I didnt think were worth even posting. All I can confirm from the scenes there, The Flash was there, some of the Godspeeds were there, and at some point The Flash is on the ground. So thats it for this busy night of filming there. Godspeed is back!!! Are you excited? The Flash was on location for season 7 shooting on Thursday & Friday for episode 11 in a commonly used area, the 1000 block of West Hastings, which includes the commonly used Oceanic Plaza (Flash fans will remember this as where King Shark tried killing Barry in their first meeting... aka Porter Plaza.). I broke the reports on these days down into two blogs, The first one, a daytime scene is HERE. The night shoots are in this post. On the first day, after the daytime scene they shot in that earlier blog post, they moved 1/2 block down the street to in front of Oceanic Plaza. There they did some stunts. On set was the stunt team for The Flash, and the two people mentioned in the previous blog, which at this time I dont know which characters they are. But ONE was Michelle Harrison, who in the past has played Nora Allen, Joan Garrick, and the Speed Force..... so your guess is as good as mine on who she is now. The other is now ID'ed as Christian Magby (source: HERE ) that is dressed in the school sports jacket you see below. I have seen a couple social media posts based off yesterdays photos suggesting this could be a character named "Steadfast" that is part of the Still Force based off the logo on his jacket. But at this time I DO NOT know if that is true. The trio did a stunt where Barrys stunt double Cody Laudan, & the unknown actors stunt double were facing Michelles stunt double. Christians double does something with his hands that looks like he is trying to direct something at Michelles doubles character. A moment later, all 3 of them are sent flying backwards from where they were standing. A little while later, the stunt team wrapped their work, and the actors came in. Grant Gustin joined Michelle & Christian on set. They continued shooting the scene with the dialogue part of the scene. After that, Grant, Michelle, and Christian moved up to the top plaza of Oceanic Plaza to do a scene with 2 others. One of the two is Ennis Esmer who is playing "Psych" that I told you about in these previous blog posts HERE and HERE. This time however, he was maskless. The other, was a younger girl that I now believe to be Sara Alicia Garcia. The 4 of them walked together in a line through the court yard, eventually stopping. Then The Flash walks over to them, and there is a brief interaction between Flash & Michelles character (who after this scene I am starting to think is Nora somehow), before he falls to the ground momentarily. Michelle then reaches down, and picks him up. They look at each other, and then hug. A moment later, Michelles character invites the other 3 over, and The Flash seems to be friendly with them. On the second day they were back down on the street level where the stunt from the night earlier was done. This time, the entire group from the last scene the night before was there. Christian, Sara, and Ennis, were lined up with The Flash, facing Michelles character for most of the scenes. At one point they do a scene where The Flash turns around, facing the same direction Michelles character is facing, and yells at something up high & says "I did what you asked". There also was a scene done where the whole group looked in 1 direction, up high. I also added 2 other photos at the end. They were actually set piece photos. One of a Central City Cab, but the more interesting one, which features the Porter Plaza placard that you may remember from that King Shark episode I referenced earlier, also show a banner right next to it that says "Quickstart Enterprises" which is a TV channel that Johnny Quick (Chambers) and Jesse Quick (Chambers) run in the comics. UPDATE: March 26, 2021 (6:30 PM) - Name of the previously unknown actors is now updated. Christian Magby, and Sara Garcia. The Flash was on location for season 7 shooting on Thursday & Friday in a commonly used area, the 1000 block of West Hastings, which includes the commonly used Oceanic Plaza (Flash fans will remember this as where King Shark tried killing Barry in their first meeting). I will be breaking the reports on these days down into two blogs, because 1 scene seems to be separate from the others, so here is the 1st part of my report. Thursday afternoon filming. At the first location of their 2 day shoot The Flash filmed in an area known as Portal Park, which is just at the corner down from Oceanic Plaza. It was pouring rain the whole time they were there, and I was doing the best I could to keep myself, and my camera dry, while still taking photos. The scene included 2 actors on set. One, a newcomer to the show Christian Magby, (source: HERE )wearing a school sports jacket. On the arm, it said "Owens" (I did a search for a character with that name, and only 2 hits came up. Neither do I think would be this one. A villain sniper simply named Owens, and at some point former Olympic legend Jesse Owens was featured in a comic. I dont THINK its him, just because he is wearing a modern day jacket in it, and Jesse for school sports age would have been during the 1920s/30 ). The other person on set was a returning recurring character. Michelle Harrison was there. Was she Barrys mom Nora Allen? Or is she someone/something else? We know in the past she has been seen by Barry as the speed force. The scene was quite confusing. It had "Nora" speaking to this Owens kid. In it, Nora seems quite mad, as does Owens. The conversation is clearly a tense one, and in the end Owens leaves, but in an interesting twist, he turns around to Nora when he was walking away to do this arm up pose that usually associates someone is about to run away at super speed. So is Owens a speedster? Immediately after, Nora yells out with no sign of Owens in sight any more something that sounded like "you cant run forever Deon/Leon", but I can not be 100% sure of those exact words, as there was a lot of excess noise with traffic, and the rain. I also added 1 photo of a S.T.A.R. Labs van that was driving by. It was NOT part of the scene. They actually use it for moving equipment on set. But sometimes it also is in scenes. But not today. After that scene was done, they moved 1/2 block down to do some night shoots for the next two days. I will have more on those in my next report in the next day or 2.
