The Flash shot some scenes for episode 6x12 in a place called "The Permanent". It is actually used a fair bit by the film industry, including recently in the Arrowverse where Sargon The Sorcerer got KO'ed in Crisis On Infinite Earths. All the filming was inside, as you can see from the 1 photo below, they didnt have any sightlines in there. Unlike when I shot the Sargon scene, and ended up as a little black & beige blur in the corner of 1 of the windows. On this day, a few cast were in & around the set. I saw Grant Gustin at one point dressed in his Flash attire. I also saw Hartley Sawyer at a couple points, in both Elongated Man, and Ralph Dibny attire. Jesse L Martin was there as Joe West. Along with them were two people I wasnt expecting. First up, Alexa Barajas was back as Ultraviolet. But the one I didnt know I had photographed at the time, till after the fact, and thus, why I forgot I had these till now was.... Natalie Dreyfuss as Sue Dearbon. At the time I thought it might be her, as I knew she should be coming in that episode, and she got dropped off in a cast vehicle, but I wasnt entirely sure, so I just kept it aside till I knew more. Then forgot about them, until todays promo photo of her in the Cop jacket came out & I put the pieces together. So heres a really quick little post of pics from the cast going in & out of the set that day. I know this is a shorter than usual blog post, but I was just reminded I had these photos from the new promos that came out for the episode today. THE FLASH - episode 606 title & some set photos with Grant Gustin, Hartley Sawyer & guest actors9/10/2019 THIS BLOG POST IS FOR A "THE FLASH" SEASON 6 EPISODE 06, TITLE "LICENSE TO ELONGATE" AND MAY CONTAIN POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR THE SEASON. If you have not seen the episode, and do not want to see or read possible spoilers about it prior to seeing it, do not continue reading the article or viewing the photos below. . . . last warning . . The Flash was on location for the 6th episode of the season Friday, Monday & today at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Vancouver. The theatre has been home to many scenes over the years. In fact this season Supergirl & Legends Of Tomorrow have also used the theatre. This time, it was in Midway City, and this time, an Art Pavilion. Just like this shoot last week where we caught Grant Gustin and Hartley Sawyer sitting in a car outside of the Midway City Art Pavilion, this time, we found the pair on the inside of the Pavilion, still in Midway City. With a title like License To Elongate, and a lot of well dressed people at the event, I am getting a James Bond inspired episode centred around Ralph Dibny feel. But I cant confirm that. Just how it felt with the title, and the event they were at, and the way they were dressed. There were other actors on set with the pair. Carlo Rota, Alexa Barajas Plante & Rebecca Roberts were also shooting some of the scenes throughout the 3 day shoot. I know almost nothing about their characters at this time, except that Alexa was wearing the red mask that I saw someone wearing at last weeks set (I am guessing it was a stunt double for her as it was definitely not the same actress I saw then). UPDATE 6:53 PM, September 10, 2019 - Alexa is playing a character named "Ultraviolet". Over the 3 days at the theatre, a variety of background, and episode specific actors were seen. But the only main cast on set were Danielle Panabaker, who is directing the episode, Grant & Hartley. All of the filming was inside the threatre, so no other details are currently known about the shoot. On the second day, we were all greeted by a monsoon type downpour for about half an hour. Vancouver is no stranger to rain. We arent even a stranger to intense rains. But when we get intense rains, they usually wash out of the system in 1-3 minutes, but this just kept going for 15-30 minutes. At one point Grant had gone to his trailer for a break before the storm hit, and when he came back he had to navigate the increasing river of water that was now flowing down the street. Two hours later, the roads barely looked like it had rained, except for a couple small puddles. Good thing the production wasn't shooting exteriors that day, they would have had to stop for probably more than an hour, as they would not have had just to wait out the storm, but to make sure equipment was working. Could have been a costly storm if they had been outside for it. Strange part was, there was no sign in the weather forecast yesterday of any type of massive rainstorm, just a few scattered showers. During the 3 days, each cast member, including the director, took time to meet with some of the fans. Danielle stopped going into, and coming out of the set on the first day, even at 2 AM after a 14 hour work day to sign & take photos. One last tidbit I picked up while being there. Michelle Harrison, who plays Nora Allen, will be back. Whether it is for episode 6, or 7, I can not say. But one of those two eps, she is coming back for. The Flash was on location for the 6th episode of the season Thursday & Friday at the Pacific Central Train Station (aka - the train station we first meet Barry Allen getting out of in Arrow in Starling City). This time, Barry Allen was again there, but like last time, it was not in Central City again. This time, it was in Midway City, and this time, an Art Pavilion. For the first day & 1/2, the cast & crew were filming in an inaccessible to the public part of a basement in the station. During the time I was there over those two days, I saw Grant Gustin, Hartley Sawyer & Danielle Panabaker from the main cast going in, or coming out of there at some point. Along with a couple guest stars. One was Carlo Rota. Another I saw on the 2nd day showed up looking like a businessman of some type I never caught a name of. There was also 1 woman on the first day, a young attractive Asian woman, in all black leather, with a metal mask that was red. I dont know what her role was, but I did not see her the 2nd day unfortunately, so I never got anymore info than seeing her leave the 1st day. After the interior filming wrapped on the 2nd day, the crew and cast, along with the episodes director Danielle Panabaker, headed outside to shoot some night scenes. Of course, I had my hopes up that I might finally see The Flash in his season 6 uniform, but much to mine, and likely most of your disappointment, no such luck. Instead Grant & Hartley filmed a scene inside a car as Barry Allen & Ralph Dibny staking out an event at the Midway City Art Pavilion inside an only 1970s style car. Since the only vantage point to see this scene was the equivalent of about 3/4 of a football field away, shots for it are a bit fuzzy at best. Also should be noted, there was no way I could see what they were saying, or the tone of the scene. I did see the pair exchanging some laughs on occasion, but it was uncertain to me if they were during filming, or between scenes. The only thing I do know about the scene is at the end of it, Ralph gets out of the car and walks around to the back of it. Later on in the evening there was going to be a stunt shot with some men holding out guns that were going to get flung thru the air. I saw the stunts team practicing the scene in the daytime. But that was going to be filmed much later, so I didnt stick around to see it. The Flash was shooting scenes for episode 521 last month in downtown Vancouver. On night one of their 2 night shoot, there was a scene that had several cast on set. Grant Gustin, Jessica Parker Kennedy, Hartley Sawyer, Carlos Valdes and Candice Patton. I never caught them actually shooting the scene when I was shooting a video. But I did get them hanging around waiting to shoot a scene still in their own everyday clothes. In this one, you see Grant dancing a bit. I did miss the start of his dancing, but caught the very end of it. Down at the bottom, there are links to my photos from these shoots that DO explain the scene they were there doing. There was a scene shot the 2nd night with Grant Gustin as The Flash, Sarah Carter as Cicada, and Jessica Parker Kennedy as XS. Here are a couple takes of that scene being shot. There was also a scene shot with Carlos Valdes as Vibe and Hartley Sawyer as Elongated Man. You can find photos form these sets HERE and HERE The Flash airs on The CW in the U.S. on Tuesdays. You may NOT make 3 posts of just 1 part. Please make note of this rare bonus permission. The Flash was shooting scenes for episode 521 late yesterday at the back of the Law Courts in downtown Vancouver. A location they have used in the past (albeit slightly different part) as they were there for episode 209 when Mark Hamill used to still slip in for a year appearance. This was their 2nd night there in a row. You can find night 1 details and photos HERE. On this night the crew and a large portion of the cast shot several scenes that mostly seemed like continuations of the scene shot the night before with a couple small changes. The scenes shot this night included much of the same cast as the night before, but 1 addition, and 1 subtraction from the previous days work. A daytime scene was shot with Tom Cavanagh as Sherloque Wells and Kimberly Williams Paisley as Renee Adler (photos of this scene will be added later). It had Sherloque running hastily down a street to catch up to Renee who was sitting on a bench. The pair talk for a couple minutes, with Sherloque at one point trying to seem to drag her away, before Renee pauses that idea, and the pair talk. During the talk, Sherloque shows Renee something, and the look on her face was 1 of "what? seriously?" but what was it that had a meta-human so amazed? Sherloque seemed to be showing her an extrapolator. Was he giving it to her? or, was he showing it to her to tell her he could come and see her at any time? Is Sherloque saying his last good byes to Earth 1? The pair moved to a scene up on the upper courtyard of the law building after that, which gave me time to go home and get a quick nap before the night scenes. Once the night shoots started, they had 3 cast come in to shoot some scenes. Sometimes they were by themselves, sometimes with just 2 of them, and a few times with all 3 of them. Grant Gustin as The Flash, Jessica Parker Kennedy as XS and Sarah Carter as Cicada (or Shecada as many are calling her now). In the scene, it seems Flash & XS try to attack her with 1 of their lightning throws, and Shecada just stands there unfazed by it. She then does her classic jump away while Flash & XS seem to cower from the action. A couple interesting observations of Shecada in this scene was first of all, no respirator. Secondly, looks like she went and got her hair done. Now sporting tight braids on the side of her head. She also seems to be donning an almost all leather suit now. Lastly, she was carrying around a device that looked to me like the type of claw you see on 1 of those machines in malls where you can "win" a stuffed animal if you can pick it up with this 3 pronged "claw". What was it for? She never seemed to use it for anything really. Just carried it around. UPDATE: 4:15 PM, March 23, 2018 - Photos of Sherloque & Renee night scene, as well as Vibe and Elongated Man scene & Shecada scene added below. UPDATE: 12:00 PM, March 24, 2018 - Photos of Sherloque and Renee from daytime scene added at the bottom. The Flash airs on The CW in the U.S. on Tuesdays. If you want to see my past behind the scene shots for The Flash go HERE If you want to see my autograph gallery for The Flash go HERE Some more solo Shecada scenes were done of her walking down the same stair case that Sherloque and Renee were just looking up at. I dont like to assume things, but the angle of it all strongly suggests its Shecada that Sherloque and Renee were fending off. There was then a scene shot with Carlos Valdes as Vibe and Hartley Sawyer as Elongated Man. The pair breach in to the area where everything has been going on, walk down the stairs, and are confronted with something. Vibe points a gun type device at the mystery item/person, before the two seem to be knocked down. After Carlos and Hartley wrapped, they went back to shooting more scenes with Shecada. But the angle was mostly covered by equipment and crew, so I gave up on seeing what else there might have been. Much like the first night, each cast member stopped to meet with some fans (although a couple of them were far more hurried in leaving than the day before). I managed more autographs form the cast this night, as Tom, Carlos, Hartley, Jessica & Kimberly all signed for me at various times of the day and night. I brought up the fact that Carlos had to endure so many people asking him about his plans with the show at the Fan Expo, and his reaction was mostly what I would call awkward embarrassment. He seemingly laughed it off. I told him whatever he does next, I wish him luck, and he replied with a very sincere "thanks man" before he left. I think he was just relieved to not be asked again. This rumour has clearly made the rounds so much, I even had a crew member ask me the first night if it was true he was leaving. As promised when I posted this blog post initially, here are photos from the daytime scene between Tom Canvagh and Kimberly Williams Paisley. A location they have used in the past (albeit slightly different part) as they were there for episode 209 when Mark Hamill used to still slip in for a year appearance. On this night the crew and a large portion of the cast mostly shot a 3 part scene. The scene entailed Grant Gustin as Barry Allen and.... Jessica Parker Kennedy as Nora West-Allen, who has seemingly been allowed out of her time out corner after how the last episode ended. Seems she is back working with the team. The pair were doing some CSI type inspecting of a bench when Hartley Sawyer as Ralph Dibny and Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon show up to discuss things with them. A few moments later Candice Patton as Iris West Allen shows up, Ralph and Cisco split to leave the West Allen fam to have a chat. What about? Hard to say, but it seemed far less contentious than the last time I saw a couple of these family members speaking on the set of 518. A little later in the evening a scene was shot with Tom Cavanagh as Sherloque Wells and Kimberly Williams Paisley as Renee Adler (just a question of which one). I couldnt really see what that scene entailed because of the angle. After each cast member wrapped, they all stopped to interact with the larger than usual crowd of fans & lookie loos passing by. Some only briefly, while others spent several minutes interacting with everyone there. It is not uncommon for a couple cast to stop once in a while, but it is rare that every cast member when theres half a dozen of them there to do so. Usually theres someone whos "gotta go" for some reason. I will have MANY MORE photos from this set to post later, but I could not do them all right now, so I had a poll on twitter to see if people wanted the earlier photos from them doing rehearsals, or later photos of the scene being shot first. I will add the additional photos over the weekend. UPDATED: March 26, 11:15 AM - More photos below of the cast shooting the scene in their on screenw ardrobes. The Flash shoots scenes for the season 4 finale with Grant Gustin, Neil Sandilands and ... SPOILER!!4/20/2018 THIS BLOG POST IS FOR "THE FLASH" SEASON 4 EPISODE 23 TITLED "WE ARE THE FLASH" AND MAY CONTAIN POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR THE SEASON. If you want these updates to continue next season, this has to STOP. I will be aggressively reporting those who opt to ignore this info from here on out for DMCA notices, or more. The Flash was shooting scenes Thursday night/early Friday morning in the street in front of the old Canada Post building, and later in the courtyard in front of an old Bank across the street.. While the sight of the 3 actors that were on set wouldn't exactly be a shock to anyone, HOW they were seen on set might be in a couple of the cases. The evening started with fans being excited that Danielle Panabaker was there. But were disappointed as quickly when they found out she was just there to say hi to the crew before leaving town, as she had wrapped the day earlier. The actual filming night started with a shoot that saw Grant Gustin on set as his superhero persona The Flash shooting a scene with one of this seasons best additions to any show, Hartley Sawyer as Ralph Dibny. Of course, as we saw last episode, Ralph had his powers, and apparently his life, taken by Clifford Devoe. So seeing him on set was a mild shock for some, but seeing him back in his less than heroic looking original form of Ralph Dibny was more of a shock. In the scene, Flash seems to zip Dibny to a location before the pair have a short talk. During the talk it is pretty clear the clueless to being a hero Dibny was who we were looking at, as his look was one of mostly bewilderment and his body language was that of a slacker. After that scene, Hartley left, and Neil Sandilands showed up. I never actually saw the scenes Neil was shooting as the location had moved a bit off from where they were. But I know one thing.... he didnt have the Thinker Chair there. A couple hours later, Hartley returned.... this time dressed a bit differently. He was back in his Elongated Man outfit *which by the way, I never really noticed till i saw my photos up close on my screen, has "EM" on his belt). He then shot a scene with The Flash where the pair are standing in the street facing something... maybe Devoe? But I couldnt actually see if it was because of the angle they had us standing at prevented us from seeing what was at the other end of the street they were staring down. After the lunch break they shot a scene with The Flash and Elongated Man seemingly getting chased by a group of Devoe like clones. There were several men, all dressed the same and seemed to move in unison shooting a scene where they moved in on The Flash & EM before they would get away, causing the Devoe Gang to chase them. Last scene I saw was a more interesting one. The Flash stood around while The Elongated Man was battling & subduing The Elongated Man.The Flash wraps its 4th season of shooting tonight when they go back to the same location to finish off a couple parts they couldnt get in last night. Perhaps if you read this right away and get there in time..... you might see a scene where Harley Sawyer or Neil Sandilands are involved. They will be the only cast on set. The rest of the cast has wrapped for season 4. I have more photos of these scenes.... in fact, many more. I just put up a quick batch so that spoiler sites & youtubers could get to work on their stories for it. I will add those over the next week or so, so check back in a few days for more.
