The Flash was on location for season 7 shooting at the Vancouver Concention Centre in downtown Vancouver for a couple days. Along with a shoot on top of a parkade 3 blocks away later on the 2nd day. While there was not much to see on the 1st day (I found the set, but between the rain soaked glass, and the position of props & crew, it was impossible to tell what was being shot), I did get a shot of a few crates with Black Hole logos on them. As well as some type of beam type machine, which I dont yet know what it is for. On the 2nd day, there was a lot more to see however. In the morning, a scene was shot right outside the convention centre with Candice Patton as Iris West Allen, along with Victoria Park as Kamilla Hwang. If you werent paying really close attention while there you might have missed that this was in the mirrorverse, as the garbage bins, and dog walking signs there were printed in reverse.... even down to the spray cans Kamilla uses to spray paint (in the proper direction) a message to Iris had the labels on in reverse. The scene had Kamilla finishing up her message to Iris, when Iris shows up at that spot, sees her, and walks over to her gives her a hug, and the pair talk for about a minute, before walking off together. Where the pair were heading after this is unknown, as the scene ends about 20 steps later. This scene is for episode 7X02, as you may be able to see by the clapperboard. It is directed by Alexandra LaRoche, who has directed 5 other The Flash episodes in the past, as well as 8 other Arrowverse episodes from Legends Of Tomorrow, Arrow & Supergirl. As with all the other sets I have been to so far, the covid-19 guidelines in place by our government seemed to be getting met, as all the crew were masked up, equipment and crew stations were well spread out, and in between takes the cast were also wearing their masks. If you want to see more photos (without some watermarks) from this set, you can find them on Just Jared HERE, as a photographer I know came down to shoot the set after I let him know they were there. After that scene wrapped, the production moved back inside the convention centre to resume filming interior scenes. Thankfully, this taxpayer built, city block long, building comes with a LOT of glass on it. Making it easy to see whats going on inside.... long as you know where to look. In this particular case, on a level generally used for large convention hall events. I do not know if this scene is for episode 2, or 1, as I did not think till well after the fact to check and find out. It wasnt till I got home & saw a photo I had taken which made me suspicious that they were shooting parts of 2 episodes on the same day (this is NOT that rare of an occurrence, probably happens a dozen or so times a season). Without going into painstaking detail how I got the info, and what that info was, lets just say, what I saw made me think there were scenes for 2 episodes being shot on this day. On set for this scene was Grant Gustin as The Flash, Efrat Dor as Mirror Mistress, and their stunt doubles. The first scene I saw shot there was pretty simple. It had The Flash standing about 100 feet away from Mirror Mistress, and he simply goes running at her. After they shot that scene, I left for a while as I wanted to get some other work done, and it looked like they were going to keep re-doing that scene. I came back about an hour & 1/2 later and things had changed slightly, now they had Grants double up on a rolling cart. He was prepping a scene that Grant himself would do a bit later, where he goes charging towards Mirror Mistress in a horisontal fashio, with his arm shoved forward. Considering Grants love of Superman, I wonder how much he wanted to put both arms out & pretend he was being Superman for the scene, as it very much looked like the way you would expect the Man Of Steel to fly through the air, except with out 1 arm extended. In the scene, The Flash flies towards Mirror Mistress, before she bobs & weaves his lunge, and The Flash goes flying by her, not making impact with her, as she looks on with an unimpressed look. After the wrapped that scene, I moved over to the 1 other shoot I knew they had. UNFORTUNATELY, I did not know exactly where it was till I had put in considerable time trying to figure it out. it was on top of a parkade that has been used a few times for other shows in the past. With no good sight lines, I eventually gave up. But not before I came across the 1 & only set of cast trailers out there. The trailer was for Danielle Panabaker, as it has the Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost tag on the door. While I never saw her there, the fact it was the only active trailer at the set made it pretty clear she was going to be in that scene on the roof. What was she doing there? Guess we'll have to wait & see. UPDATE: October 26, 2020, 1:15 PM - Video of the scenes has been added at the bottom of this post. The Flash season 7 will air Tuesday nights on The CW in the U.S. starting January 2021. You can now get exclusive first looks on our Patreon ahead of these blog posts. THIS BLOG POST IS FOR A "THE FLASH" SEASON 6 EPISODE 16 or 17, AND MAY CONTAIN POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR THE SEASON. The Flash was on location for an episode of the 6th season a couple weeks ago in downtown Vancouver. It was a late night shoot, that started with severla cast members, including Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, Jesse L Martin as Joe West, Candice Patton as Iris West Allen and Danielle Nicolet as Cecile Horton were on set at this location at varying points. With a lot of picture vehicles on set for the scene, along with the productions equipment, there was very little to actually see of the scenes shot. All I know of the scenes with the actors is that there was a scene where Barry & Iris walk across the gravel parking lot, first 1, then the other a second or two later. Another scene had Joe walking the opposite direction from where they walked to. Later on, the only scene you could see clearly at any point was with Joe standing on top of something and looking forward. A bit later, after the cast had left the lot, they did a huge stunt scene with an exploding car that I was there for, but sort of missed the original explosion as I believed it was going to be the truck driving towards us blowing up, and not a random car in the background. Luckily I had my phone taking photos at the same time I was video taping it, so I got SOME photos of the explosion. But my video, I only caught the after effect of it. Throughout the night, I walked around the set (in fact, while I did so one time, was when Grant, and Candice came over & met some fans. One particular fan was nice enough to let me use a couple of their photos of their interactions in my post here), and found 3 different city billboards they had covered up with Central City specific ads. One for CC Jitters, One for Big Belly Burger, and 1 for Ralph Dibny, along with a parking sign for a Central City parkade. I was most amused with the Dibny one for the fine print on it that states he "No longer performs exorcisms/ demon removal". I am curious, does this have something to do with an upcoming episode? Or, does this have something to do with Dibs in the old timeline? A little curious on that one. At the end of the night, a driving scene was done, that had them drive a vehicle down the street past those ads we saw along the street. The Flash was on location for the third episode of the season yesterday in an area of downtown Vancouver between Chinatown and the downtown core. The crew and cast were shooting scenes for the 3rd episode of the season with 3 cast. Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon, Candice Patton as Iris West Allen were doing scenes where they were walking together looking at a contraption that screams Cisco made. Are they out searching for a meta? Or is Cisco helping Iris with her investigating? They eventually look up at something above them. A bit later, a scene was done that had Tom Cavanagh on set, dressed in new duds. His attire is very "Indiana Jonesesque" right down to swinging in off a rope. Cisco seems to say something to him that seemed like he was happy to see him, before "new Wells" (did not catch if he had a specific character name) grabs him, shoves him up against a wall with a robotic looking arm and talks to him while showing him a large ruby. I guess Cisco should just be lucky this version cant vibrate his hand through his chest. Eventually new Wells lets Cisco go, and that seemed to be the end of the scene as Carlos and Candice left shortly after that, with Tom leaving a bit later. What is new Wells character supposed to be? The attire was close enough to Indiana Jones that 1 of the fans there said that to him & he responded that it was the look they were going for.So what will the "sensual" and "swashbuckling" new Wells really be about? Guess we will have to wait and see. Tom stopped to sign autographs and take photos in full costume as he left. Earlier in the day, Candice also stopped and took photos with some fans. In a rare decision, Carlos was the one who did not seem into interacting with fans on this day. The scene had Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, Jesse L Martin as Joe West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, Candice Patton as Iris West Allen, Danielle Nicolet as Cecille Horton, Victoria Park as Kamilla Hwang, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand *drum roll* Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon shooting a scene that takes place in a back yard. Judging by the attire of those there, it would seem they were shooting a hanging out in the backyard enjoying the day type of scene. The scene description on the film notice called it a "family bbq". Only thing I know of the scene is the attire most were wearing, and that at some point I heard the classic Flash air guns go off. Was Barry taking off to, or returning from, a situation, or did he just head off real quick to grab some steaks for the bbq? Barry, Joe & Iris were in full "summer time" attire mode, as Grant was wearing a Hawaiin shirt, Jesse had on a casual shirt, and Candice was wearing a floral orange/brown and white pattern summer dress. During 1 break, and after they wrapped, I had a chance to chat with a few of the cast. Some briefer than others. But mostly everyone seemed to be in a great mood. I asked Grant about his costume for this season, he confirmed there will be a chin strap/cowl for the army of haters out there for the season 5 suit. I asked him straight up if he was getting a new suit, he said "yeah, its mostly the same though..." then I asked specifically about the chinstrap/cowl situation, and he said there will be 1 this year. I then told him how it was many peoples largest complaint last year, and he turned around and in a really joking manner waved his arms and said "everyones so petty". Jesse told me that his back is all good. Also, Carlos was right about what he said to me at the end of last season when he said "and I'll see you", he sure did and waved at me to say hi as I was moving towards getting someone else. I felt bad that I didnt have a moment to at least say "good to see you back" to him. When I asked Danielle Panabaker if she had a chance to try out the new Killer Frost outfit yet, she just smirked and said "you'll just have to wait & see". Only notable cast that I did not see there, and they did not have a trailer there were Tom Cavanagh and Hartley Sawyer. The Flash was shooting scenes for episode 522 earlier this month in a quiet residential neighbourhood in Vancouver. It was a very short shoot, so short in fact, it wrapped almost 2 hours short of when it was supposed to, which by filming standards is VERY quick. Grant Gustin and Candice Patton were on set for the scene when I got there. The scene seemed to be set in the future by some of the future cars I saw there when I first got there that were taken away shortly after. Not sure who else might have been in the scene before I got there (I got there about 20 mins before they wrapped the scene), but I DID see Jessica Parker Kennedy drive by me at 1 point in 1 of the productions transportation vehicles. But I never saw her actually film. You can find photos from the finale shoots HERE and HERE The Flash airs on The CW in the U.S. on Tuesdays. The Flash was shooting scenes for episode 522 earlier this month in downtown Vancouver. On night one of their 2 night shoot, there was a scene that had several cast on set. Grant Gustin, Jessica Parker Kennedy, Danielle Panabaker, Hartley Sawyer, Carlos Valdes, Tom Cavanagh and Candice Patton. I caught a few moments sporadically throughout their shoots where I got a couple short videos. Apologies in advance if you are not happy with the video quality. The scene had Grant Gustin as Barry Allen and Candice Patton as Iris West Allen shooting a scene that takes place in the future. Barry and Iris were standing together in the street, and seemingly talking to someone. While I never SAW Jessica Parker Kennedy on set, I did briefly see her driving by me, so perhaps I just missed her part of the scene and she wrapped earlier than her characters parents. When I first got there, they were filming in front of 1 of the cars they have for the future scenes, sooo, it looks like modern day Iris is going to be time traveling to the future. This was a very short shoot by filming standards. They were scheduled to film from 4 PM to 8 PM, but were done well before 7 PM. Upon leaving Grant signed an autograph for me as he walked to his vehicle and seemed in good spirits. I joked with him about how I will probably see him a couple more times this week, as there were two very large downtown shoots scheduled for later in the week.
